| 1 | Late Pleistocene glaciation of the Changbai Mountains in northeastern China显示文摘The Changbai Mountains (2749 m a.s.l.) in northeastern China are one of the typical mountain regions with glaciation since late Pleistocene as evidenced by well-preserved erosive and accumulative landforms at elevations above 2000 m a.s.l. formed by glaciers around the crater lake, Tianchi Lake. Cirque glaciers developed on both the inner and outer sides of the volcanic cone. Well-preserved cirques, glacial trough valleys, glacial threholds, polished surfaces of the glacial erratics and the moraine ridges indicate that several glaciation processes took place during the last glacial period in this region. Results of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating on the moraine sediments, and the K/Ar, ther- mal ionization mass spectrometry (TIMS), electronic spinning resonance (ESR) dating on the volcanic rocks suggest two periods of glacier advances. One is named the Black Wind Mouth glacier advance taking place on the west and north slopes of the volcanic cone at an elevation of 2000―2100 m a.s.l., which is dated to about 20 ka, being the result of the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM). The other is named the Meteorological Station glacier advance at the elevation of 2400―2600 m a.s.l., dated to 11 ka during the late glacial period, and is tentatively correlated to the Younger Dryas stage. The scope of the former glacier advance is larger than that of the latter. | 3 | Efficient generation of transgenic chickens using the spermatogonial stem cells in vivo and ex vivo transfection显示文摘The highly efficient novel methods to produce transgenic chickens were established by directly in-jecting the recombinant plasmid containing green fluorescent protein (GFP) gene into the cock's testis termed as testis-medianted gene transfer (TMGT), and transplanting transfected spermatogonial stem cells (TTSSCs). For the TMGT approach,four dosages of pEGFP-N1 DNA/cationic polymer complex were injected intratesticularly. The results showed: (1) 48 h after the injection,the percentages of testis cells expressing GFP were 4.0%, 8.7%, 10.2% and 13.6% in the 50, 100, 150 and 200 μg/mL group, re-spectively. The difference from the four dosage groups was significant (P<0.05). On day 25 after the injection, a dosage-dependent and time-dependent increase in the number of transgenic sperm was observed. The percentages of gene expression reached the summit and became stable from day 70 to 160, being 12.7%, 12.8%, 15.9% and 19.1%, respectively. The difference from the four dosage groups was also significant (P<0.05). (2) 70 d after the injection, strong green fluorescent could be observed in the seminiferous tubules by whole-mount in-situ hybridization. (3) 70 d after the injection, the semen was collected and used to artificially inseminate wild-type females. The blastoderms of F1 and F2 transgenic chicken expressed GFP were 56.2% (254/452) and 53.2% (275/517), respectively. The detec-tion of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) of F1 and F2 transgenic chicken blood genomic DNA showed that 56.5% (3/23) of F1 and 52.9% (9/17) of F2 were positive. Southern blot showed GFP DNA was in-serted in their genomic DNAs. (4) Frozen whole mount tissue sections of F1 and F2 transgenic chicken liver, heart, kidney and muscle showed that the rates of green fluorescent positive were between 50.0% and 66.7%. (5) With the TTSSCs method, SSCs ex vivo transfected with GFP were transplanted into recipient roosters whose endogenic SSCs had been resoluted. The donor SSCs settled and GFP ex-pression became readily detectable in the frozen whole mount tissue sections of recepient testes. Moreover, sperms carrying GFP could be produced normally. The results of artificially inseminating wild-type females with these sperms showed 12.5% (8/64) of offspring embryo expressed GFP and 11.1% (2/18) hatched chicks were tested transgenic. | 6 | Burn image segmentation based on Mask Regions with Convolutional Neural Network deep learning framework:more accurate and more convenient显示文摘Background:Burns are life-threatening with high morbidity and mortality.Reliable diagnosis supported by accurate burn area and depth assessment is critical to the success of the treatment decision and,in some cases,can save the patient’s life.Current techniques such as straight-ruler method,aseptic film trimming method,and digital camera photography method are not repeatable and comparable,which lead to a great difference in the judgment of burn wounds and impede the establishment of the same evaluation criteria.Hence,in order to semi-automate the burn diagnosis process,reduce the impact of human error,and improve the accuracy of burn diagnosis,we include the deep learning technology into the diagnosis of burns.Method:This article proposes a novel method employing a state-of-the-art deep learning technique to segment the burn wounds in the images.We designed this deep learning segmentation framework based on the Mask Regions with Convolutional Neural Network(Mask R-CNN).For training our framework,we labeled 1150 pictures with the format of the Common Objects in Context(COCO)data set and trained our model on 1000 pictures.In the evaluation,we compared the different backbone networks in our framework.These backbone networks are Residual Network-101 with Atrous Convolution in Feature Pyramid Network(R101FA),Residual Network-101 with Atrous Convolution(R101A),and InceptionV2-Residual Network with Atrous Convolution(IV2RA).Finally,we used the Dice coefficient(DC)value to assess the model accuracy.Result:The R101FA backbone network gains the highest accuracy 84.51%in 150 pictures.Moreover,we chose different burn depth pictures to evaluate these three backbone networks.The R101FA backbone network gains the best segmentation effect in superficial,superficial thickness,and deep partial thickness.The R101A backbone network gains the best segmentation effect in full-thickness burn.Conclusion:This deep learning framework shows excellent segmentation in burn wound and extremely robust in different burn wound depths.Moreover,this framework just needs a suitable burn wound image when analyzing the burn wound.It is more convenient and more suitable when using in clinics compared with the traditional methods.And it also contributes more to the calculation of total body surface area(TBSA)burned. | Chong Jiao Kehua Su Weiguo Xie Ziqing Ye | 2019 | Burns & Trauma2019,7,1: | 4 |
| 7 | A near-infrared fluorescent probe for fluorine ions and its application in the imaging of HepG2 cells显示文摘In this study, we have designed and synthesized a new near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent probe (BODIPY-Se) to detect fluorine ions (F-) using a B-Se bond to connect the fluorescent dye BODIPY and benzotrifluoride. The probe exhibited a highly selective fluorescence response to F- with a detection limit of 7.4×108 mol/L. The excitation and emission spectra of the probe in the NIR region avoid background fluorescence interference present in biological systems. | 8 | Carbon decorated Li_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) for high-rate lithium-ion batteries:Electrochemical performance and charge compensation mechanism显示文摘Fast charging and high-power delivering batteries are highly demanded in mobile electronics,electric vehicles and grid energy storage,but there are full of challenges.The star-material Li_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) is demonstrated as a promising high-rate cathode material meeting the above requirements.Herein,we report the carbon decorated Li_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) (LVP/C) cathode prepared via a facile method,which displays a remarkable high-rate capability and long-term cycling performance.Briefly,the prepared LVP/C delivers a high discharge capacity of 122 mAh g^(-1)(-93% of the theoretical capacity) at a high rate up to 20 C and a superior capacity retention of 87.1% after 1000 cycles.Importantly,by applying a combination of X-ray absorption spectroscopy and full-range mapping of resonant inelastic X-ray scattering,we clearly elucidate the structural and chemical evolutions of LVP upon various potentials and cycle numbers.We show unambiguous spectroscopic evidences that the evolution of the hybridization strength between V and O in LVP/C as a consequence of lithiation/delithiation is highly reversible both in the bulk and on the surface during the discharge-charge processes even over extended cycles,which should be responsible for the remarkable electrochemical performance of LVP/C.Our present study provides not only an effective synthesis strategy but also deeper insights into the surface and bulk electrochemical reaction mechanism of LVP,which should be beneficial for the further design of high-performance LVP electrode materials. | Manling Ding Chen Cheng Qiulong Wei Yue Hu Yingying Yan Kehua Dai Jing Mao Jinghua Guo Liang Zhang Liqiang Maig | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,2: | 3 |
| 9 | Effect of 'Yang-warming and kidney essence-replenishing' herbal paste on cold-related asthma exacerbation显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of 'Yang-warming and kidney essence-replenishing' herbal paste on cold-related asthma exacerbation. METHODS: One hundred and fifty one patients with moderate to severe persistent asthma were randomly divided into a treatment group (n=74) and a control group (n=69). Both groups were given basic treatment according to the Global Initiative for Asthma scheme. The treatment group was also treated with herbal paste in the winter. The frequency of asthma exacerbation, cold and cold-re-lated asthma exacerbation, scores of the asthma control test (ACT), and kidney-deficiency syndrome during the one-year follow-up in each group were recorded. RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the onset frequencies of catching cold, asthma exacerbation, cold-related asthma exacerbation, and kidney-deficiency syndrome score were significantly reduced. There was no significant difference in scores of ACT between the two groups. | 10 | Boosting polysulfide redox conversion of Li-S batteries by one-step-synthesized Co-Mo bimetallic nitride显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are considered as one of the most promising next generation energy storage systems due to the high theoretical specific capacity,low cost,and environmental benignity.However,the notorious shuttle effect of polysulfides hinders the practical application of Li-S batteries.Herein,we have rationally designed and synthesized sea urchin-like Co-Mo bimetallic nitride(Co_(3) MO_(3) N)in the absence of additional nitrogen sources with only one step,which was applied as the sulfur host materials for Li-S batteries.The results indicate that Co_(3) Mo_(3) N can efficiently anchor and catalyze the conversion of polysulfides,thus accelerating the electrochemical reaction kinetics and enabling prominent electrochemical properties.As a consequence,the S@Co_(3) Mo_(3) N cathode exhibits a high rate performance of 705 mAh g^(-1) at 3 C rate and an excellent cycling stability with a low capacity fading rate of 0.08%per cycle at 1 C over 600 cycles.Even at a high sulfur loading of 5.4 cmg cm^(-2),it delivers a high initial areal capacity of 4.50 mAh cm^(-2) which is still retained at 3.64 mAh cm^(-2) after 120 cycles.Furthermore,the catalytic mechanism and structural stability of Co_(3) Mo_(3) N during cycling were elucidated by a combination of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray absorption fine structure.This work highlights the strategy of structure-catalysis engineering of bimetallic nitride,which is expected to have a wide application in Li-S batteries. | Yingying Yan Hongtai Li Chen Cheng Tianran Yan Wenping Gao Jing Mao Kehua Dai Liang Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10: | 3 |

| 14 | Simultaneous Localization and Mapping Technology Based on Project Tango显示文摘Aiming at the problem of system error and noise in simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM) technology, we propose a calibration model based on Project Tango device and a loop closure detection algorithm based on visual vocabulary with memory management. The graph optimization is also combined to achieve a running application. First, the color image and depth information of the environment are collected to establish the calibration model of system error and noise. Second, with constraint condition provided by loop closure detection algorithm, speed up robust feature is calculated and matched. Finally, the motion pose model is solved, and the optimal scene model is determined by graph optimization method. This method is compared with Open Constructor for reconstruction on several experimental scenarios. The results show the number of model's points and faces are larger than Open Constructor's, and the scanning time is less than Open Constructor's.
