1Humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants elicited by inactivated and RBD-subunit vaccines显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 variants could induce immune escape by mutations on the receptor-binding domain(RBD)and N-terminal domain(NTD).Here we report the humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants,such as 501Y.V2(B.1.351),of the plasma and neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)elicited by CoronaVac(inactivated vaccine),ZF2001(RBD-subunit vaccine)and natural infection.Among 86 potent NAbs identified by high-throughput single-cell VDJ sequencing of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from vaccinees and convalescents,near half anti-RBD NAbs showed major neutralization reductions against the K417N/E484K/N501Y mutation combination,with E484K being the dominant cause.VH3-53/VH3-66 recurrent antibodies respond differently to RBD variants,and K417N compromises the majority of neutralizing activity through reduced polar contacts with complementarity determining regions.In contrast,the 242–244 deletion(242–244Δ)would abolish most neutralization activity of anti-NTD NAbs by interrupting the conformation of NTD antigenic supersite,indicating a much less diversity of anti-NTD NAbs than anti-RBD NAbs.Plasma of convalescents and CoronaVac vaccinees displayed comparable neutralization reductions against pseudo-and authentic 501Y.V2 variants,mainly caused by E484K/N501Y and 242–244Δ,with the effects being additive.Importantly,RBD-subunit vaccinees exhibit markedly higher tolerance to 501Y.V2 than convalescents,since the elicited anti-RBD NAbs display a high diversity and are unaffected by NTD mutations.Moreover,an extended gap between the third and second doses of ZF2001 leads to better neutralizing activity and tolerance to 501Y.V2 than the standard three-dose administration.Together,these results suggest that the deployment of RBD-vaccines,through a third-dose boost,may be ideal for combating SARS-CoV-2 variants when necessary,especially for those carrying mutations that disrupt the NTD supersite.Yunlong Cao Ayijiang Yisimayi Yali Bai Weijin Huang Xiaofeng Li Zhiying Zhang Tianjiao Yuan Ran An Jing Wang Tianhe Xiao Shuo Du Wenping Ma Liyang Song Yongzheng Li Xiang Li Weiliang Song Jiajing Wu Shuo Liu Xuemei Li Yonghong Zhang Bin Su Xianghua Guo Yangyang Wei Chuanping Gao Nana Zhang Yifei Zhang Yang Dou Xiaoyu Xu Rui Shi Bai Lu Ronghua Jin Yingmin Ma Chengfeng Qin Youchun Wang Yingmei Feng Junyu Xiao Xiaoliang Sunney Xie 2021Cell Research2021,31,7:12
2Reproductive management through integration of PGD and MPS-based noninvasive prenatal screening/diagnosis for a family with GJB2-associated hearing impairment显示文摘A couple with a proband child of GJB2(encoding the gap junction protein connexin 26)-associated hearing impairment and a previous pregnancy miscarriage sought for a reproductive solution to bear a healthy child. Our study aimed to develop a customized preconception-to-neonate care trajectory to fulfill this clinical demand by integrating preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD), noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT), and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis(NIPD) into the strategy. Auditory and genetic diagnosis of the proband child was carried out to identify the disease causative mutations. The couple then received in-vitro-fertilization treatment, and eight embryos were obtained for day 5 biopsy. PGD was performed by short-tandem-repeat linkage analysis and Sanger sequencing of GJB2 gene. Transfer of a GJB2 c.235del C heterozygous embryo resulted in a singleton pregnancy. At the 13 th week of gestation, genomic DNA(g DNA) from the trio family and cell-free DNA(cf DNA) from maternal plasma were obtained for assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2 mutations. NIPT and NIPD showed the absence of chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2-associated disease in the fetus, which was later confirmed by invasive procedures and postnatal genetic/auditory diagnosis. 4High efficient acetalization of carbonyl compounds with diols catalyzed by novel carbon-based solid strong acid catalyst显示文摘The novel carbon-based acid catalyst has been applied to catalyzing the acetalization and ketalization. The results showed that the catalyst was very efficient with the average yield over 93%. 5Boosting polysulfide redox conversion of Li-S batteries by one-step-synthesized Co-Mo bimetallic nitride显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are considered as one of the most promising next generation energy storage systems due to the high theoretical specific capacity,low cost,and environmental benignity.However,the notorious shuttle effect of polysulfides hinders the practical application of Li-S batteries.Herein,we have rationally designed and synthesized sea urchin-like Co-Mo bimetallic nitride(Co_(3) MO_(3) N)in the absence of additional nitrogen sources with only one step,which was applied as the sulfur host materials for Li-S batteries.The results indicate that Co_(3) Mo_(3) N can efficiently anchor and catalyze the conversion of polysulfides,thus accelerating the electrochemical reaction kinetics and enabling prominent electrochemical properties.As a consequence,the S@Co_(3) Mo_(3) N cathode exhibits a high rate performance of 705 mAh g^(-1) at 3 C rate and an excellent cycling stability with a low capacity fading rate of 0.08%per cycle at 1 C over 600 cycles.Even at a high sulfur loading of 5.4 cmg cm^(-2),it delivers a high initial areal capacity of 4.50 mAh cm^(-2) which is still retained at 3.64 mAh cm^(-2) after 120 cycles.Furthermore,the catalytic mechanism and structural stability of Co_(3) Mo_(3) N during cycling were elucidated by a combination of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray absorption fine structure.This work highlights the strategy of structure-catalysis engineering of bimetallic nitride,which is expected to have a wide application in Li-S batteries.Yingying Yan Hongtai Li Chen Cheng Tianran Yan Wenping Gao Jing Mao Kehua Dai Liang Zhang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:3
6Temporal and Spatial Variability of Dissolved Organic Carbon Concentration in the Xijiang River, South China显示文摘A whole year analysis of riverine dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentrations in the Xijiang River (XJR), South China, showed that the mean riverine DOC concentration (1.24 mg L-1) in the XJR was notably lower than the averaged value (5.75 mg L-1) of the global riverine DOC concentration in several major rivers. There is an inconspicuous monthly fluctuation of the DOC signal in the XJR, but on a semi-yearly time scale, however, the riverine DOC concentration had significant difference between hydrological seasons. The DOC level during the flood season (1.18 mg L-1) was less than that during the non-flood season (1.40 mg L-1). Owing to the concomitance of the flushing and dilution effects of the runoff during the high-water period, the variation of riverine DOC concentration with discharge in the XJR differed from that reported in many other major rivers. The DOC export flux above the city of Wuzhou was about 0.62× 106 g C km-2 yr-1. The DOC transported during the '056' Massive Flood period comprised 30.35% of the annual total, while the discharge accounted for 36.32% of the total annual flow. 10Well-balanced ambipolar diketopyrrolopyrrole-based copolymers for OFETs,inverters and frequency doublers显示文摘Conjugated polymers with well-balanced ambipolar charge transport is essential for organic circuits at low cost and large area with simplified fabrication techniques.Aiming at this point,herein,a novel asymmetric thiophene/pyridine-flanked diketopyrrolopyrrole-based copolymer(PPyTDPP-2FBT)is designed and synthesized.Due to the effect of incorporating F atoms on molecular energy alignment and conjugation conformation,the PPyTDPP-2FBT copolymer exhibits typical V-shaped ambipolar field-effect transfer characteristics with well-balanced hole and electron mobilities of 0.64 and 0.46 cm^(2)V^(−1)s^(−1),respectively.Furthermore,organic digital and analog circuits such as inverters and frequency doublers are successfully constructed based on solution-processed films of the PPyTDPP-2FBT copolymers which show a typical circuit operating mode with a high gain of 133 due to the well-balanced electrical properties.In addition,PPyTDPP-2FBT-based devices also demonstrate good stability and batch repeatability,suggesting their great potential applications in organic integrated electronic circuits.Jiaxin Yang Qingqing Liu Mengxiao Hu Shang Ding Jinyu Liu Yongshuai Wang Dan Liu Haikuo Gao Wenping Hu Huanli Dong 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,8:1

14Epitaxial interface stabilizing iridium dioxide toward the oxygen evolution reaction under high working potentials显示文摘Proton exchange membrane water electrolyzer(PEMWE)driven by renewable electricity is a promising technique toward green hydrogen production,but the corrosive environment and high working potential pose severe challenges for developing advanced electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Although Ir-based materials possess relatively balanced activity and stability for the OER,their dissolution behavior cannot be neglected,in particular under high working potentials.In this work,iridium dioxide(IrO_(2))nanoparticles(NPs)were anchored on the surface of exfoliated h-boron nitride(BN)nanosheets(NSs)toward the OER reaction in acid media.Highly active Ir(V)species were stabilized by the epitaxial interface between IrO_(2)and h-BN,and therefore the IrO_(2)/BN delivered stable performance at increased working potentials,while the activity of bare IrO_(2)NPs without h-BN support decreased rapidly.Also,the smaller lattice spacing of h-BN induced compressive strain for IrO_(2),resulting in improved activity.Our results demonstrate the feasibility of stabilizing highly active Ir(V)species for the OER in acid media by constructing robust interface and provide new possibilities toward designing advanced heterostructured electrocatalysts.Guoqiang Zhao Zhouxin Luo Baohua Zhang Yaping Chen Xiangzhi Cui Jian Chen Yongfeng Liu Mingxia Gao Hongge Pan Wenping Sun 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:1

16Recent advances in catalyst-modified Mg-based hydrogen storage materials显示文摘The storage of hydrogen in a compact,safe and cost-effective manner can be one of the key enabling technologies to power a more sustainable society.Magnesium hydride(MgH_(2))has attracted strong research interest as a hydrogen carrier because of its high gravimetric and volumetric hydrogen densities.However,the practical use of MgH_(2)for hydrogen storage has been limited due to high operation temperatures and sluggish kinetics.Catalysis is of crucial importance for the enhancement of hydrogen cycling kinetics of Mg/MgH_(2)and considerable work has been focused on designing,fabricating and optimizing catalysts.This review covers the recent advances in catalyzed Mg-based hydrogen storage materials.The fundamental properties and the syntheses of MgH_(2)as a hydrogen carrier are first briefly reviewed.After that,the general catalysis mechanisms and the catalysts developed for hydrogen storage in MgH_(2)are summarized in detail.Finally,the challenges and future research focus are discussed.Literature studies indicate that transition metals,rare-earth metals and their compounds are quite effective in catalyzing hydrogen storage in Mg/MgH_(2).Most metal-containing compounds were converted in situ to elemental metal or their magnesium alloys,and their particle sizes and dispersion affect their catalytic activity.The in-situ construction of catalyzed ultrasmall Mg/MgH_(2)nanostructures(<10 nm in size)is believed to be the future research focus.These important insights will help with the design and development of high-performance catalysts for hydrogen storage in Mg/MgH_(2).Yaxiong Yang Xin Zhang Lingchao Zhang Wenxuan Zhang Huifeng Liu Zhenguo Huang Limei Yang Changdong Gu Wenping Sun Mingxia Gao Yongfeng Liu Hongge Pan 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,32:0
17Highly Fluorescent Semiconducting Two-Dimensional Conjugated Polymer Films Achieved by Side-Chain Engineering Showing Large Exciton Diffusion Length显示文摘Semiconducting two-dimensional conjugated polymers(2DCPs)with strong fluorescence emission have great potential for various optoelectronic applications.However,it is enormously challenging to achieve this goal due to the significant compact interlayerπ-πstacking-induced quenching effect in these systems.In this work,we found that highly fluorescent semiconducting 2DCPs can be prepared through an effective side-chain engineering approach in which interlayer spacers are introduced to reduce the fluorescence quenching effect.The obtained two truxene-based 2DCP films that,along with-C6H13 and-C_(12)H_(25)alkyl side chains as interlayer spacers both demonstrate superior fluorescence properties with a high photoluminescence quantum yield of 5.6%and 14.6%,respectively.These are among the highest values currently reported for 2DCP films.Moreover,an ultralong isotropic quasi-twodimensional exciton diffusion length constrained in the plane with its highest value approaching 110 nm was revealed by the transient photoluminescence microscopy technique,suggesting that theπ-conjugated structure in these truxene-based 2DCP films has effectively been extended.This work can enable a broad exploration of highly fluorescent semiconducting 2DCP films for more deeply fundamental properties and optoelectronic device applications.Yongshuai Wang Qing Zhang Xiao-Ze Li Zhibin Shu Yihan Zhang Can Gao Yang Li Hao Liu Chenguang Li Hong-Hua Fang Hong-Bo Sun Xiaotao Zhang Wenping Hu Huanli Dong 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,10:0

19A New Hybrid Machine Learning Model for Short-Term Climate Prediction by Performing Classification Prediction and Regression Prediction Simultaneously显示文摘Machine learning methods are effective tools for improving short-term climate prediction.However,commonly used methods often carry out classification and regression prediction modeling separately and independently.Such a single modeling approach may obtain inconsistent prediction results in classification and regression and thus may not meet the needs of practical applications well.To address this issue,this study proposes a selective Naive Bayes ensemble model(SENB-EM)by introducing causal effect and voting strategy on Naive Bayes.The new model can not only screen effective predictors but also perform classification and regression prediction simultaneously.After being applied to the area prediction of summer western North Pacific subtropical high(WNPSH)from 2008 to 2021,it is found that the accuracy classification score(a metric to assess the overall classification prediction accuracy)and the time correlation coefficient(TCC)of SENB-EM can reach 1.0 and 0.81,respectively.After integrating the results of different models[including multiple linear regression ensemble model(MLR-EM),SENB-EM,and Chinese Multimodel Ensemble Prediction System(CMME)used by National Climate Center(NCC)]for 2017-2021,the TCC of the ensemble results of SENB-EM and CMME can reach 0.92(the highest result among them).This indicates that the prediction results of the summer WNPSH area provided by SENB-EM have a high reference value for the real-time prediction.It is worth noting that,except for the numerical prediction results,the SENB-EM model can also give the range of numerical prediction intervals and predictions for anomalous degrees of the WNPSH area,thus providing more reference information for meteorological forecasters.Overall,as a new hybrid machine learning model,the SENB-EM has a good prediction ability;the approach of performing classification prediction and regression prediction simultaneously through integration is informative to short-term climate prediction.Deqian LI Shujuan HU Jinyuan GUO Kai WANG Chenbin GAO Siyi WANG Wenping HE 2022Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,6:0
20Comparative research on the catalytic activities of different molecular sieves for acetalization and ketalization显示文摘Molecular sieves with different acidities and pore-sizes have been applied to catalyze the acetalization and ketalization of carbonyl compounds with glycol. A comparative research on the catalytic activities of the catalysts for certain reactions has been carried out to figure out the relationship between the characters of the catalysts and the activities. The results show that the pore-size of the molecular sieves is one of the most important factors that determine the catalytic activity. Appropriate pore-size is needed for the certain reaction.The acidity is another factor that affects the activities.
