| 1 | Improvement of oxytetracycline production mediated via cooperation of resistance genes in Streptomyces rimosus显示文摘Increasing the self-resistance levels of Streptomyces is an effective strategy to improve the production of antibiotics.To increase the oxytetracycline(OTC) production in Streptomyces rimosus,we investigated the cooperative effect of three co-overexpressing OTC resistance genes:one gene encodes a ribosomal protection protein(otrA) and the other two express efflux proteins(otrB and otrC).Results indicated that combinational overexpression of otrA,otrB,and otrC(MKABC) exerted a synergetic effect.OTC production increased by 179%in the recombinant strain compared with that of the wild-type strain M4018.The resistance level to OTC was increased by approximately two-fold relative to the parental strain,thereby indicating that applying the cooperative effect of self-resistance genes is useful to improve OTC production.Furthermore,the previously identified cluster-situated activator OtcR was overexpressed in MKABC in constructing the recombinant strain MKRABC;such strain can produce OTC of approximately7.49 g L^((-1)),which represents an increase of 19%in comparison with that of the OtcR-overexpressing strain alone.Our work showed that the cooperative overexpression of self-resistance genes is a promising strategy to enhance the antibiotics production in Streptomyces. | Shouliang Yin Xuefeng Wang Mingxin Shi Fang Yuan Huizhuan Wang Xiaole Jia Fang Yuan Jinliang Sun Tiejun Liu Keqian Yang Yuxiu Zhang Keqiang Fan Zilong Li | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,9: | 10 |

| 4 | Vertical diversity of sediment bacterial communities in two different trophic states of the eutrophic Lake Taihu, China显示文摘Vertical diversity of sediment bacterial communities in 2 different trophic states(macrophyte-dominated and algae-dominated) of the large shallow eutrophic Lake Taihu,China,were investigated using denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) and 16S rRNA sequence analysis.Clustering analysis of DGGE profiles showed that different clusters were recognized in different depths of sediment cores in the 2 lake trophic states.Analyses of the bacterial diversity,as estimated by the Shannon index(H '),showed that different sediment layers of the macrophyte-dominated state had higher diversity than the algae-dominated state.In addition,bacterial diversity of the sediment in the macrophyte-dominated state changed abruptly throughout the layers,but bacterial diversity of the algae-dominated state decreased gradually with sediment depth.Phylogenetic analysis showed that Proteobacteria was the most abundant phylum in the middle sediment of the 2 lake trophic states.In the macrophyte-dominated state,clone sequences related to Betaproteobacteria(50.0%) were the most abundant,followed by Epsilonproteobacteria(21.1%),Acidobacteria(7.9%),Deltaproteobacteria(7.9%),Chloroflexi(7.9%),and Bacteroidetes(5.3%);whereas in the algae-dominated state,sequences affiliated with Betaproteobacteria(84.4%) were predominant,followed by Deltaproteobacteria(12.5%) and Acidobacteria(3.1%).Canonical correspondence analysis showed that organic matter and pH play key roles in driving the vertical changes of bacterial community composition. | Keqiang Shao Guang Gao Yongping Wang Xiangming Tang Boqiang Qin | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,6: | 9 |

| 7 | Calculation methodology of marine environmental capacity for heavy metal:A case study in Jiaozhou Bay,China显示文摘Results from past pollution control practices show that environmental quality can be ensured by controlling the actual amount of pollutants formed in the environment.Therefore,the marine environmental capacity for heavy metals was introduced.Marine environmental capacity for heavy metals is defined as the maximum amount of heavy metals permitted in the marine environment system to preserve the benign cycle of materials in the oceansphere,and to limit the adverse effects of heavy metals on the biosphere,hydrosphere,atmosphere,and lithosphere.Based on the box or three-dimensional model in the target coastal region,including the self-purification and output of heavy metals,the marine environmental capacity for heavy metals can be calculated within a given criterion and time.In this study,a method was proposed to calculate the marine environmental capacity for heavy metals which includes four steps:(1) gathering the basis information of target coastal ecosystem,(2) selection of water control points and water quality criteria for these points,(3) development of numerical models for the biogeochemical cycling of heavy metals in target coastal region,and(4) calculation of environmental capacity using the developed model.According to the proposed method,the marine environmental capacity for lead is approximately 60 tons per year if Grade I seawater quality is set as the control criterion in Jiaozhou Bay.An effective seawater quality management plan can also be framed based on the environmental capacity for metals. | LI KeQiang WANG XiuLin | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,2: | 7 |

| 10 | Predictive cruise control for heavy trucks based on slope information under cloud control system显示文摘With the advantage of fast calculation and map resources on cloud control system(CCS), cloud-based predictive cruise control(CPCC) for heavy trucks has great potential to improve energy efficiency, which is significant to achieve the goal of national carbon neutrality. However, most investigations focus on the on-board predictive cruise control(PCC) system,lack of research on CPCC architecture under CCS. Besides, the current PCC algorithms have the problems of a single control target and high computational complexity, which hinders the improvement of the control effect. In this paper, a layered architecture based on CCS is proposed to effectively address the realtime computing of CPCC system and the deployment of its algorithm on vehicle-cloud. In addition, based on the dynamic programming principle and the proposed road point segmentation method(RPSM), a PCC algorithm is designed to optimize the speed and gear of heavy trucks with slope information. Simulation results show that the CPCC system can adaptively control vehicle driving through the slope prediction, with fuel-saving rate of 6.17% in comparison with the constant cruise control. Also,compared with other similar algorithms, the PCC algorithm can make the engine operate more in the efficient zone by cooperatively optimizing the gear and speed. | 11 | Karst Collapse Mechanism and Criterion for Its Stability显示文摘Karst collapse, caused by natural or artificial abstraction of groundwater, has been a focus of environmental geological problems for its ever-increasing hazardousness. The potential erosion theory and vacuum suction erosion theory,which reveal the origin of karst collapse macroscopically, are popularly accepted. However, a mathematic prediction criterion for karst collapse cannot be established only by these two theories. From a new perspective, this paper attempts to explain the microcosmic mechanism of karst collapse on the basis of these two theories. When the shear stress surpasses the shear strength of soil, a certain point or a certain plane in the unconsolidated soil covering karst caves will fail under the mechanical effects of water and air as well as its load-pressure, and with the increase of damaged points, a breaking plane appears and the soil on karst caves is completely damaged; as a result, the karst ground collapses. On the basis of the MohrCoulomb failure theory and previous studies, the paper presents a prediction criterion of karst collapse. Logically it had five modules-phytoplankton,zooplankton,dissolved inorganic nutrients,dissolved organic nutrients and detritus. The results showed that this model could simulate the variations of DIN,PO4-P,DON,DOP,POC and phytoplankton biomass in pelagic ecosystem in mesocosm properly,based on the site experiment data in the Jiaozhou Bay in the autumn of 1999 and the summer of 2000. Not only the logical structure but also the model parameters were feasible,and about 20 parameters were made to fit for the Jiaozhou Bay during the simulation. | 14 | Origin and evolution of ore-forming fluid for the Gaosongshan gold deposit, Lesser Xing’an Range:Evidence from fluid inclusions,H-O-S-Pb isotopes显示文摘Epithermal gold deposits are typical precious metal deposits related to volcanic and subvolcanic magmatism.Due to the lack of direct geological and petrographic evidences,the origin of the ore-forming fluid is deduced from the spatial diagenesis-mineralization relationship,chronological data,physicochemical characteristics of mineral fluid inclusions,mineral or rock elements and isotopic geochemical characteristics.By objectively examining this scientific problem via a geological field survey and petrographic analysis of the Gaosongshan epithermal gold deposit,we recently discovered and verified the following points:(1) Pyrite-bearing spherical quartz aggregates (PSQA) occur in the rhyolitic porphyry;(2) the mineralization is structurally dominated by WNW- and ENE-trending systems and occurs mostly in hydrothermal breccias and pyrite-quartz veins,and the ore types are mainly hematite-crusted quartz,hydrothermal breccia,massive pyrite-quartz,etc.;(3) the alteration types consist of prevalent silicification,sericitization,propylitization and carbonation,with local adularization and illitization.The ore minerals are mainly pyrite,primary hematite,native gold,and electrum,with lesser amounts of chalcopyrite,magnetite,sphalerite,and galena,indicating a characteristic epithermal low-sulfidation deposit.The ore-forming fluid may have been primarily derived from magmatic fluid exsolved from a crystallizing rhyolitic porphyry magma.Further zircon U-Pb geochronology,fluid inclusion,physicochemical and isotopic geochemical analyses revealed that (1) rhyolitic porphyry magmatism occurred at 104.6 ± 1.0 Ma,whereas the crystallization of the PSQA occurred at 100.8 ± 2.1 Ma;(2) the hydrothermal fluid of the pre-ore stage was an exsolved CO2-bearing H2O-NaCl magmatic fluid that produced inclusions mainly composed of pure vapor (PV),vapor-rich (WV) and liquid-rich (WL) inclusions with a small number of melt-(M) and solid-bearing (S) inclusions;mineralization-stage quartz contains WL and rare PV,WV and pure liquid (PL) inclusions characterized by the H2O-NaCl system with low formation temperatures and low salinities;(3) the characteristics of hydrogen,oxygen,sulfur,and lead isotopes and those of rare earth elements (REEs) provide insight into the affinity between PSQA and orebodies resulting from juvenile crust or enriched mantle.Combined with previous research on the mineralogenetic epoch (99.32 ± 0.01 Ma),we further confirm that the mineralization of the deposit occurred in the late Early Cretaceous,which coincides with the extension of the continental margin induced by subduction of the Pacific Plate beneath the Eurasian Plate.The formation of the ore deposit was proceeded by a series of magmatic and hydrothermal events,including melting of enriched juvenile crust,upwelling,the eruption and emplacement of the rhyolitic magma,the exsolution and accumulation of magmatic hydrothermal fluid,decompression,the cooling and immiscibility/boiling of the fluid,and mixing of the magmatic fluid with meteoric water,in association with water-rock interaction. | Yang Liu Jinggui Sun Jilong Han Liang Ren Alei Gu Keqiang Zhao Changshen Wang | 2019 | Geoscience Frontiers2019,10,5: | 3 |

| 16 | Environmental Capacity of Petroleum Hydrocarbon Pollutants in Jiaozhou Bay, China: Modeling and Calculation显示文摘An environmental capacity model for the petroleum hydrocarbon pollutions (PHs) in Jiaozhou Bay is constructed based on field surveys, mesocosm, and parallel laboratory experiments. Simulated results of PHs seasonal successions in 2003 match the field surveys of Jiaozhou Bay resaonably well with a highest value in July. The Monte Carlo analysis confirms that the variation of PHs concentration significantly correlates with the river input. The water body in the bay is reasonably subjected to self-purification processes, such as volatilization to the atmosphere, biodegradation by microorganism, and transport to the Yellow Sea by water exchange. The environmental capacity of PHs in Jiaozhou Bay is 1500 tons per year IF the seawater quality criterion (Grade Ⅰ/Ⅱ, 0.05 mgL-1) in the region is to be satisfied. | 20 | Reassessment of the Distribution of Mantle CO_(2) in the Bohai Sea,China:The Perspective from the Source and Pathway System显示文摘Research on the distribution of mantle CO_(2)should involve comprehensive analysis from CO_(2)source to accumulation.The crust-mantle pathway system is the key controlling factor of the distribution of mantle CO_(2),but has received little attention.The pathway system and controlling factors of CO_(2)distribution in the Bohai Sea are analyzed using data on fault styles and information on the mantle and lithosphere.The relation between volcanic rocks and the distribution of mantle CO_(2)is reassessed using age data for CO_(2)accumulations.The distribution of mantle CO_(2)is controlled by uplift of the asthenosphere and upper mantle,magma conduits in the mantle and fault systems in the crust.Uplifted regions of the asthenosphere are accumulation areas for CO_(2).The area with uplift of the Moho exhibits accumulation of mantle CO_(2)at depth.CO_(2)was mainly derived from vertical migration through the upper mantle and lower crust.The fault style in the upper crust controls the distance of horizontal migration and the locations of CO_(2)concentrations.The distribution of mantle CO_(2)and volcanic rocks are not the same,but both probably followed the same pathways sometimes.Mantle CO_(2)in the Bohai Sea is concentrated in the Bozhong sag and the surrounding area,particularly in a trap that formed before 5.1 Ma and is connected to crustal faults(the Bozhang faults)and lithospheric faults(the Tanlu faults). | TANG Huafeng GUO Tianchan WU Keqiang LIU Zilin XU Jianyong LU Baoliang WANG Pujun | 2022 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,1: | 2 |
