2Model test of helical angle effect on coal loading performance of shear drum显示文摘The work presented in this paper focuses on improving coal loading performance of shear drum.Employing the similarity theory,we carried out a dimensional analysis of the correlation parameters which influence coal loading performance of shear drum.On the basis of similarity criterion,proportional relationship between the model and the prototype was taken on the condition of taking 1/3 as the similarity coefficient.Besides taking 1600 mm drum as the prototype,four helical angle models of shearer drums(15°,18°,21°,24°) were developed.Simultaneously,based on an established cutting test-bed,coal loading performance tests for the four drums were carried out at the same drum rotational and haulage speeds.After analyzing the data of coal-loading performance and torque,we concluded that:both the coal loading performance and torque vary along the track of the parabola with the opening side facing downwards;the best coal loading performance arises when the helical angle is at 19.3°,while the biggest torque arises at 22.1°;and the coal loading performance had nonlinear relationship with the torque.Kuidong Gao Changlong Du Songyong Liu Lin Fu 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2:4
3Application of a screw conveyor with axial tilt blades on a shearer drum and investigation of conveying performance based on DEM显示文摘Screw conveyors are widely employed in industrial fields for conveying bulk materials.The shearer drum which uses the screw conveying principle is responsible for excavation and conveying coal particles onto the chain conveyor.Screw conveyor performance is affected by potential factors,such as the blade axial tilt angle and style,core shaft form and diameter.The effect of blade axial tilt angle on the conveying performance was investigated with the help of DEM.In the case of the screw conveyor,the mass flow rate,and particle axial velocity increased with increasing positive axial tilt angle,and declined with increasing negative axial tilt angle.In the case of the drum,the mass flow rate,particle axial velocity,and loading rate first increased and then decreased with increasing positive axial tilt angle,and decreased with increasing negative axial tilt angle.These results can be considered as a benchmark for screw conveyor and drum structural designs with axial tilt screw blades.Liqing Sun Xiaodi Zhang Qingliang Zeng Kuidong Gao Kao Jiang Jiawei Zhou 2022Particuology2022,20,2:3
4Image-based numerical study of three-dimensional meso-structure effects on damage and failure of heterogeneous coal-rock under dynamic impact loads显示文摘This paper proposes a numerical three-dimensional(3D)mesoscopic approach based on the discrete element method combined with X-ray computed tomography(XCT)images to characterize the dynamic impact behavior of heterogeneous coal-rock(HCR).The dynamic impact loading in three directions was modelled to investigate the effects of the 3D meso-structure on the failure patterns and fracture mechanism,with different impact velocities.The XCT image-based discrete element model of HCR was calibrated through appropriate standard uniaxial compression tests.Numerical simulations were carried out to investigate how the breakage behaviors are affected by different loading directions with different impact velocities.The loading direction,input energy,and spatial distribution of the mineral phase had a remarkable influence on the failure patterns and load-carrying capacities.The shape of the gangue phase and the approximate location of the gangue interfaces are key parameters to consider when investigating the failure patterns and fracture mechanism of heterogeneous rock materials.The damage and fracture tended to propagate from the surfaces to the HCR interior.The gangue phase area contacting the loading wall,growth direction of the strong gangue interfaces,and loading directions greatly influenced the failure patterns of the heterogeneous rock materials.Kehong Zheng Bingjing Qiu Zhenyu Wang Xuefeng Li Jianping Li Kuidong Gao 2020Particuology2020,18,4:1

6Influence of Selective Laser Melting Process Parameters on Microstructure and Properties of a Typical Ni-Based Superalloy显示文摘The influence of selective laser melting(SLM)process parameters on the microstructure and mechanical properties of a typical Ni-based superalloy was researched.The optimum parameters of P=170 W,V=0.8 m/s were determined,under which the SLMed samples exhibited both the largest relative density of 99.57%and the best mechanical properties,including the microhardness(329.3±3.8 HV),yield strength(726±8.1 MPa),ultimate tensile strength(900±5.9 MPa)and elongation((31.9±0.24)%).The average grain size ranges of SLMed samples are from 15.2 to 17.4μm,with a typical mixed grain structure.Owing to the high cooling rate and remelting during SLM process,a large number of low-angle grain boundaries(LAGBs),dislocations and sub-grains were formed,and the fraction of LAGBs reached above 65%.At the same time,the content of low-Σcoincidence site lattice(CSL)boundaries was mostly less than 1%,while there was almost noγ′phase precipitated in the matrix.The texture of SLMed samples was weak,and there was no obvious preferred growth direction.Combining with the microstructure characterization,both grain refinement strengthening and dislocation strengthening were considered as the main strengthening mechanisms.Moreover,the fracture mechanism of the optimum sample belonged to ductile fracture.Zhen Lu Chengcai Zhang Nana Deng Haiping Zhou Ruirui Fang Kuidong Gao Yukuo Su Hongbin Zhang 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,10:0
7The structural optimization of roadheader conical picks based on fatigue life显示文摘Conical picks are the key cutting components used on roadheaders,and they are replaced frequently because of the bad working conditions.Picks did not meet the fatigue life when they were damaged by abrasion,so the pick fatigue life and strength are excessive.In the paper,in order to reduce the abrasion and save the materials,structure optimization was carried out.For static analysis and fatigue life prediction,the simulation program was proposed based on mathematical models to obtain the cutting resistance.Furthermore,the finite element models for static analysis and fatigue life analysis were proposed.The results indicated that fatigue life damage and strength failure of the cutting pick would never happen.Subsequently,the initial optimization model and the finite element model of picks were developed.According to the optimized results,a new type of pick was developed based on the working and installing conditions of the traditional pick.Finally,the previous analysis methods used for traditional methods were carried out again for the new type picks.The results show that new type of pick can satisfy the strength and fatigue life requirements.Zhenguo Lu Lirong Wan Qingliang Zeng Xin Zhang Kuidong Gao 2018International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing2018,9,2:0
