1Discovery of Paleogene marine stratum along the southern side of Yarlung-Zangbo suture zone and its implications in tectonics显示文摘The Jiachala Formatiom is a new lithostratigraphic unit set up in this paper. This is the first report on the Paleogene marine sequences and microfaunas in Gyangze to the southern side of the Yarlung-Zangbo suture zone. On the basis of fossil abundance, species diversity, dominant species and first and last occurrences of key species, three dinoflagellate assemblages and three polynological assemblages were recognized in the Jiachala Formatiom. They are in ascending order as follows: Apectodinium quinquelatum-Apectodinium hyperacanthum, Cannin- gia chinensis-Palaeoperidinium pyrophorum and Cymatiosphaera reticulosa-Samlandia chla- mydophora dinoflagellate assemblages, and Arliaceoipollenites baculatus-Anacolosidites sub- trudens, Aglaoreidia cyclops-Pinuspollenites microinsigis, and Elaeangnacites asper-Ilexpol- lenites iliacus polynological Assemblages. According to the assemblages, the age of the Jiachala Formation is referred to Paleocene-early Eocene. The preliminary study on the Jiachala Forma- tion shows that this group of Paleogene deposits accumulated in an underfilled peripheral fore- land basin which was in response to the load of the crust thickening resulted from the Asia-India collision. The stratigraphic evidences provided by the evolution of foreland basin indicate that the India-Asia initional collision should occure near the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary. The de- velopment and evolution of the southern Tibet foreland basin was under the control of the stress field from the subduct-collision between India and Asia and the structure pattern of the basement. 3Numerical analysis of fuel regression rate distribution characteristics in hybrid rocket motors with different fuel types显示文摘This paper presents three-dimensional numerical simulations of the hybrid rocket motor with hydrogen peroxide (HP) and hy-droxyl terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) propellant combination and investigates the fuel regression rate distribution charac-teristics of different fuel types. The numerical models are established to couple the Navier-Stokes equations with turbulence,chemical reactions, solid fuel pyrolysis and solid-gas interfacial boundary conditions. Simulation results including the temper-ature contours and fuel regression rate distributions are presented for the tube, star and wagon wheel grains. The results demonstrate that the changing trends of the regression rate along the axis are similar for all kinds of fuel types, which decrease sharply near the leading edges of the fuels and then gradually increase with increasing axial locations. The regression rates of the star and wagon wheel grains show apparent three-dimensional characteristics, and they are higher in the regions of fuel surfaces near the central core oxidizer flow. The average regression rates increase as the oxidizer mass fluxes rise for all of the fuel types. 4Numerical and experimental investigation on the effects of aft mixing chamber diaphragm in hybrid rocket motor显示文摘This paper focuses on the investigation of an aft mixing chamber diaphragm in a hybrid rocket motor.Both numerical and experimental researches are carried out to study its effects on the motor performances.The hybrid rocket motor with star fuel grain is utilized.The 90%hydrogen peroxide(HP)oxidizer and hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene(HTPB)based fuel are adopted as propellants.The diaphragm configuration settled in the aft mixing chamber includes four circular-holes with a uniform circumferential distribution.For both motors with and without the diaphragm,three-dimensional numerical simulations with gaseous combustions considered are carried out to study the flow field characteristics and motor performances.The comparison results show that the diaphragm can improve the mixing of the oxidizer and fuel.It has evident effect on increasing the motor efficiencies.Two firing experiments are conducted with full scale motors to investigate the effects of the diaphragm.The diaphragm used in the test is composed of a central steel framework and a closed thermal insulation layer.With the diaphragm employed,the combustion efficiency increases from 93.9%to 97.34%and the specific impulse efficiency increases from 80.77%to 87.28%,which verifies the positive effect of the diaphragm.Both numerical and experimental studies indicate that the scheme of the aft mixing chamber diaphragm proposed in the paper can improve the efficiencies of the hybrid rocket motor obviously.TIAN Hui LI XinTian YU NanJia CAI GuoBiao 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,11:9
5Early Eocene Radiolarian Fauna from the Sangdanlin, Southern Tibet: Constraints on the Timing of Initial India-Asia Collision显示文摘This is a new report on the early Eocene radiolarian fauna from the Sangdanlin section in the Gyirong region, along the southern margin of the Yarlung Zangbo Suture Zone. The Sangdanlin section measured in this study is divided into three lithostratigraphic units from bottom to top: the Zongzhuo, Sangdanlin, and Zheya formations. Abundant radiolarian fossils were obtained from the Sangdanlin section and 54 species of 30 genera were identified and assigned as follows: Cryptamphorella conara-C. macropora the late Cretaceous Zone and Amphisphaera coronate, Buryella tetradica-Bekoma campechensis, and B.bidartensis-B. divaricata the Paleocene-early Eocene Interval Zones. The Paleocene–early Eocene radiolarian zones are comparable to the radiolarian zones RP4-RP8 in New Zealand. Based on the data of radiolaria and lithofacies, it is suggested that the Zongzhuo Formation should be deposited along the base of the north-facing, continental slope of the Greater Indian continental margin, and the Sangdanlin Formation should be a deep marine, sedimentary sequence located in a foreland basin. 6Design and integrated simulation of a pressurized feed system of the dual-thrust hybrid rocket motor显示文摘A new pressurized feed system of the dual-thrust hybrid rocket motor for flight is presented in this paper.The feed system supplies 90% hydrogen peroxide (90%H 2 O 2) with two different flows of 4.5 and 2 kg s 1.The oxidizer flow is changed through regulating the mass flow of the high-pressure gas and switching the performance modes of the unique oxidizer flow control valve simultaneously.The models of the gas storage container,pressure regulator valve,control orifice,propellant tank,oxidizer flow control valve and cavitating venturi are generated and used to compute the instantaneous pressure,temperature and mass flow rate.There is a good agreement between the simulated and experimental results.Parameter sensitivity analysis is also conducted.It is found that the throat diameter of the cavitating venturi in feed line 1 is the main factor affecting the mass flow in both boost and sustaining phase.Other parameters have limited effects on the mass flow rate and the transition time of the system.LI JunHai YU NanJia ZENG Peng CAI GuoBiao 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,4:9

8Late Cretaceous Foraminiferal Faunas from the Saiqu“mélange”in Southern Tibet显示文摘As one of the mélanges in the southern side of the Yarlung-Zangbo suture zone,the Saiqu mélange in southern Tibet is important for understanding the evolution of the Neo-Tethys ocean.The age of the Saiqu mélange,however,has been debated due to the lack of reliable fossil evidence in matrix strata.Based on lithological similarities with platform strata in southern Tibet and limited fossils from exotic blocks,previous studies variously ascribed the Saiqu mélange to be Triassic in general,Late Triassic,or Late Cretaceous.Here we reported planktonic foraminiferal faunas from the matrix strata of the Saiqu mélange.The new fossils yield a Late Cretaceous age,which is so far the best age constraint for the mélange.Regional stratigraphic correlation indicates that the Cretaceous Oceanic Red Beds (CORBs)in Saiqu may be time equivalent to the CORBs of the Zongzhuo Formation in neighboring regions.Thus the Saiqu mélange should be correlated to the Upper Cretaceous Zongzhuo Formation rather than the Triassic Xiukang Group,as previously suggested.LI Guobiao WAN Xiaoqiao JIANG Ganqing HU Xiumian GOUDEMAND Nicolas HAN Hongdou CHEN Xi 2007Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2007,81,6:5
9Effects of axial gap and nozzle distribution on aerodynamic forces of a supersonic partial-admission turbine显示文摘The turbine in an LH2/LOX rocket engine is designed as a two-stage supersonic partialadmission turbine. Three-dimensional steady and unsteady simulations were conducted to analyze turbine performance and aerodynamic forces on rotor blades. Different configurations were employed to investigate the effects of the axial gap and nozzle distribution on the predicted performance and aerodynamic forces. Rotor blades experience unsteady aerodynamic forces because of the partial admission. Aerodynamic forces show periodicity in the admission region, and are close to zero after leaving the admission region. The unsteady forces in frequency domain indicate that components exist in a wide frequency region, and the admission passing frequency is dominant.Those multiples of the rotational frequency which are multiples of the nozzle number in a fulladmission turbine are notable components. Results show that the turbine efficiency decreases as the axial gap between nozzles and the 1 st stage rotor(rotor 1) increases. Fluctuation of the circumferential aerodynamic force on rotor 1 blades decreases with the axial gap increasing. The turbine efficiency decreases as the circumferential spacing between nozzles increases. Fluctuations of the circumferential and axial aerodynamic forces increase as the circumferential spacing increases. 10Growth kinetics of hydrate formation from water–hydrocarbon system显示文摘Gas hydrates have drawn global attentions in the past decades as potential energy resources.It should be noted that there are a variety of possible applications of hydrate-based technologies,including natural gas storage,gas transportation,separation of gas mixture,and seawater desalination.These applications have been critically challenged by insufficient understanding of hydrate formation kinetics.In this work,the literatures on growth kinetic behaviors of hydrate formation from water-hydrocarbon were systematically reviewed.The hydrate crystal growth,hydrate film growth and macroscopic hydrate formation in water system were reviewed,respectively.Firstly,the hydrate crystal growth was analyzed with respect to different positions,such as gas/liquid interface,liquid–liquid interface and gas–liquid–liquid system.Secondly,experimental and modeling studies on the growth of hydrate film at the interfaces between guest phase and water phase were categorized into two groups of lateral growth and thickening growth considering the differences in growth rates.Thirdly,we summarized the promoters and inhibitors reported(biological or chemical,liquid or solid and hydrophobic or hydrophilic)and analyzed the mechanisms affecting hydrate formation in bulk water system.Knowledge gaps and suggestions for further studies on hydrate formation kinetic behaviors are presented.Youhong Sun Shuhui Jiang Shengli Li Guobiao Zhang Wei Guo 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,9:3
11Effects of axial gap on aerodynamic force and response of shrouded and unshrouded blade显示文摘Forced response analysis of a rocket engine turbine blade was conducted by a decoupled fluid-structure interaction procedure.Aerodynamic forces on the rotor blade were obtained using 3D unsteady flow simulations. The resulting aerodynamic forces were interpolated to the finite element(FE) model through surface effect elements prior to conducting forced response calculations.Effects of axial gap on aerodynamic forces were studied. In addition, influence of axial gap on the response of the shrouded blade was compared with that on the response of the unshrouded blade. Results demonstrated that as the axial gap increases,time-averaged pressure on the blade surface changes very little, while the pressure fluctuations decrease significantly. Pressure and aerodynamic forces on the blade surface display periodic variation, and the vane passing frequency component is dominant.Amplitudes of aerodynamic forces decrease with increasing axial gap. Restricted by the shroud, deformation and response of shrouded blade are much lower than those of the unshrouded blade. The response of unshrouded blade shows obvious beat vibration phenomenon, while the response of the shrouded blade does not have this characteristic because the shroud restrains multiple harmonics. Blade response in time domain was converted to frequency domain using fast Fourier transformation(FFT).Results revealed that the axial gap mainly affects the forced harmonic at the vane passing frequency, while the other two harmonics at natural frequency are hardly affected. 12On-line controlling system for nitrogen and phosphorus removal of municipal wastewater in a sequencing batch reactor (SBR)显示文摘The objectives of this study were to establish an on-line controlling system for nitrogen and phosphorus removal synchronously of municipal wastewater in a sequencing batch reactor(SBR).The SBR for municipal wastewater treatment was operated in sequences:filling,anaerobic,oxic,anoxic,oxic,settling and discharge.The reactor was equipped with on-line monitoring sensors for dissolved oxygen(DO),oxidation-reduction potential(ORP)and pH.The variation of DO,ORP and pH is relevant to each phase of biological process for nitrogen and phosphorus removal in this SBR.The characteristic points of DO,ORP and pH can be used to judge and control the stages of process that include:phosphate release by the turning points of ORP and pH;nitrification by the ammonia valley of pH and ammonia elbows of DO and ORP;denitrification by the nitrate knee of ORP and nitrate apex of pH;phosphate uptake by the turning point of pH;and residual organic carbon oxida-tion by the carbon elbows of DO and ORP.The controlling system can operate automatically for nitrogen and phosphorus efficiently removal.Jun LI Yongjiong NI Yongzhen PENG Guowei GU Jingen LU Su WEI Guobiao CHENG Changjin OU 2008Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2008,2,1:2
13Experimental study of hydrogen-rich/oxygen-rich gas–gas injectors显示文摘Five types of coaxial injectors were investigated experimentally using hot hydrogen-rich gas and oxygen-rich gas,which were respectively provided by a GH2/GO2hydrogen-rich perburner and a GH2/GO2oxygen-rich preburner.The injectors were the shear coaxial injector,the oxidizer post expansion coaxial injector,the fuel impinging coaxial injector,the central body coaxial injector,and the shear tri-coaxial injector.The characteristic velocity effciency and the combustor's wall temperatures were obtained for different design parameters through the experiments.It can be concluded that angles of the oxidizer post expansion and the fuel impinging have little influence on the combustion performance and the wall temperatures.The contact area between fuel and oxidizer and the mass flow rate have signifcant impacts on the combustion performance.The shear tri-coaxial injector has the best combustion performance but also the highest wall temperatures among the fve types of injectors.Jin Ping Li Mao Cai Guobiao 2013Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2013,26,5:1

16A regulatory perspective on recombinant collagen-based medical devices显示文摘As a class of novel biomaterials manufactured by synthetic biology technologies,recombinant collagens are candidates for a variety of medical applications.In this article,a regulatory scientific perspective on recombinant collagens and their medical devices is presented with a focus on the definition,translation,classification and technical review.Recombinant collagens are categorized as recombinant human collagen,recombinant humanized collagen and recombinant collagen-like protein,as differentiated by specific compositions and structures.Based on their intended uses and associated risks,recombinant collagen-based medical devices are generally classified as Class Ⅱ or Ⅲ in China.The regulatory review of recombinant collagen-based medical devices aims to assess their safety and efficacy demonstrated by scientific evidences generated from preclinical and clinical evaluations.Taken together,opportunities as well as challenges for their future clinical translation of recombinant collagen-based medical devices abound,which highlights the essential role of regulatory science to provide new tools,standards,guidelines and methods to evaluate the safety and efficacy of medical products.Wenbo Liu Hai Lin Peng Zhao Lina Xing Jie Li Zehua Wang Shan Ju XinLi Shi Yinghui Liu Gang Deng Guobiao Gao Lei Sun Xindong Zhang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,6:1
