| 1 | Field Relationships,Geochemistry,Zircon Ages and Evolution of a Late Archaean to Palaeoproterozoic Lower Crustal Section in the Hengshan Terrain of Northern China显示文摘The Hengshan complex forms part of the central zone of the North China Craton and consists predominantly of ductilely-deformed late Archaean to Palaeoproterozoic high-grade, partly migmatitic, granitoid orthogneisses, intruded by mafic dykes of gabbroic composition. Many highly strained rocks were previously misinterpreted as supracrustal sequences and represent mylonitized granitoids and sheared dykes. Our single zircon dating documents magmatic granitoid emplacement ages between 2.52 Ga and 2.48 Ga, with rare occurrences of 2.7 Ga gneisses, possibly reflecting an older basement. A few granitic gneisses have emplacement ages between 2.35 and 2.1 Ga and show the same structural features as the older rocks, indicating that the main deformation occurred after ~2.1 Ga. Intrusion of gabbroic dykes occurred at~1920 Ma, and all Hengshan rocks underwent granulite-facies metamorphism at 1.88-1.85 Ga, followed by retrogression, shearing and uplift.We interpret the Hengshan and adjacent Fuping granitoid gneisses as the lower, plutonic, part of a late Archaean to early Palaeoproterozoic Japan-type magmatic arc, with the upper, volcanic part represented by the nearby Wutai complex. Components of this arc may have evolved at a continental margin as indicated by the 2.7 Ga zircons. Major deformation and HP North China Craton collided to form the Trans-North China orogen. Shear zones in the Hengshan are interpreted as major lower crustal discontinuities post-dating the peak of HP metamorphism, and we suggest that they formed during orogenic collapse and uplift of the Hengshan complex in the late Palaeoproterozoic (<1.85 Ga). | A. | 2 | An Archean continental block in the Taihangshan and Hengshan regions: Constraints from geochronology and geochemistry显示文摘Recent research on the tectonothermal evolution and geochronology in the Fuping, Hengshan and Wutaishan metamorphic complexes, together with the discoveries of a high-pressure granulite belt in the northern margin of the North China Craton (NCC) and high-pressure metapelites in the Jingangku Group of the Wutaishan complex, suggests that there was a Neoarchean to Paleoproterozoic orogenic belt related to collision between the Eastern and Western continental blocks. Comparison of geological, geochronological, tectonothermal and geochemical data between the Fuping and Hengshan complexes suggests these two complexes most likely originated and evolved as a single lithotectonic domain (i.e., the Taihangshan-Hengshan block) during the early evolution of the North China Craton, probably as an active margin to the Eastern Continental Block. | 9 | Dent Resistance for Automobile Body Panels显示文摘Dent resistance of automobile body panels is an important property for automobile design and manufacture, but the study on this aspect is not still profound. This study is to summarize the testing methods and physical significations of static and dynamic dent resistance of automobile body panels combined with the author's study, and to analyze the dent behaviors in the round. Several influence factors on dent resistance are expatiated including the mechanical properties of materials, stress states after forming, bake hardening ability, modulus, methods of testing, and structure of specimens and so on. The automotive lightweight and application of high strength steel sheets and aluminum alloys sheets are analyzed, and the significance of testing of dent resistance, especially for dynamic dent resistance of auto-panels, and the finite element simulation analysis are emphasized. To explain the physical phenomenon of dent behaviors, the latest and concerned study results are also discussed. According to this study, a dent resistance test and evaluation standard of Society of Automotive Engineers of China for automotive body panel is presented and is being carried out, and an industry conference is hold to discuss the working-out of the standard, a primary schedule of this standard is confirmed now. | 11 | Microscopic deformation of the Neoarchean oceanic lithospheric mantle: evidence from the Zunhua Neoarchean ophiolitic mélange,North China Craton显示文摘The microstructures of the mande tectonites in the Zunhua Neosrchean ophiolitic melange are mainly coarse-mosaic structures with locally interstitial impregnated melts. Olivine and orthopyroxene occur as residual porphyroclastic blasts, dynamic recrys-tallization neoblasts or elongated to be tabular. The podiform chromitites are mostly strcmgly deformed with the devdopmmt of pull-apart structure.These microstructures are typical high-temperature plastic deformation in oceanic upper mande resulting from ocean-floor spreading. Besides the high-temperature plastic deformation, undeformed magmatic intrusions such as undeformed podiform chromitite,dunite and pyroxenite intnmons are also preserved in the mantle tectonite. Structures of high-temperature plastic deformation and intensive magmatic activity prove that the Zunhua ophiolite was formed under fast spreading oceanic ridge, similar to the Oman ophiolite. | 19 | A study of the microbial mineralization in submarine black smoker chimneys from the Okinawa Trough显示文摘Large amounts of microfossil records discovered in the seafloor black smoker chimney are reported from the Okinawa Trough. They are well preserved and can be divided into four types of fila-mentous microfossils. It suggests that the fossils may be derived from sulfur or iron oxidation chemolithotrophic prokaryotes and fungi. Based on the comparison studies of the microbial miner-alization processes, two steps of biomineralization were hypothesized: (1) biology controlled min-eralization; and (2) biology induced mineralization. At the early stage of the mineralization, the biology controlling mineralization is dominating; at the later stage, the biology inducing mineral-ization is the main mechanism.
