1Synthesis of a magnetic micro/nano Fe_xO_y-CeO_2 composite and its application for degradation of hexachlorobenzene显示文摘A micrometer-sized nanostructured,magnetic,ball-like FexOy-CeO2 composite was synthesized through an ethylene-glycol mediated process.The synthesized samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy combined with energydisperse X-ray analysis,transmission electron microscopy and X-ray powder diffraction.In the synthesis system,polyethylene glycol (PEG) and urea were found to play significant roles in the formation of the micrometer-sized spherical architecture of the precursor.The details of morphology and particle size could be changed with the initial concentration of Fe(NO3)3-9H2O and Ce(NO3)3-6H2O as the reactants.The magnetic FexOy-CeO2 composite with a similar morphology was readily obtained by calcination from the precursor.The characterization of transmission electron microscopy showed the calcined ball-like architecture was a highly porous structure consisting of many nanoparticles.Because of the micrometer-sized nanostructure and the multi-components as well as the magnetism,the as-obtained FexOy-CeO2 composite showed better activity and potentially easy recovery for the harmless degradation of hexachlorobenzene (HCB).JIA ManKe,SU GuiJin,ZHENG MingHui,ZHANG Bing & LIN ShiJing State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100085,China 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,6:3
2Embedding physics domain knowledge into a Bayesian network enables layer-by-layer process innovation for photovoltaics显示文摘Process optimization of photovoltaic devices is a time-intensive,trial-and-error endeavor,which lacks full transparency of the underlying physics and relies on user-imposed constraints that may or may not lead to a global optimum.Herein,we demonstrate that embedding physics domain knowledge into a Bayesian network enables an optimization approach for gallium arsenide(GaAs)solar cells that identifies the root cause(s)of underperformance with layer-by-layer resolution and reveals alternative optimal process windows beyond traditional black-box optimization.Our Bayesian network approach links a key GaAs process variable(growth temperature)to material descriptors(bulk and interface properties,e.g.,bulk lifetime,doping,and surface recombination)and device performance parameters(e.g.,cell efficiency).For this purpose,we combine a Bayesian inference framework with a neural network surrogate device-physics model that is 100×faster than numerical solvers.With the trained surrogate model and only a small number of experimental samples,our approach reduces significantly the time-consuming intervention and characterization required by the experimentalist.As a demonstration of our method,in only five metal organic chemical vapor depositions,we identify a superior growth temperature profile for the window,bulk,and back surface field layer of a GaAs solar cell,without any secondary measurements,and demonstrate a 6.5%relative AM1.5G efficiency improvement above traditional grid search methods.Zekun Ren Felipe Oviedo Maung Thway Siyu I.P.Tian Yue Wang Hansong Xue Jose Dario Perea Mariya Layurova Thomas Heumueller Erik Birgersson Armin G.Aberle Christoph J.Brabec Rolf Stangl Qianxiao Li Shijing Sun Fen Lin Ian Marius Peters Tonio Buonassisi 2020npj Computational Materials2020,,1:2

7Lipid-conjugated siRNA hitchhikes endogenous albumin for tumor immunotherapy显示文摘With the development of a small interfering RNA(siRNA)delivery strategy,increasing siRNA therapeutics for tumor treatment appeared in clinical trials and pre-clinical development.However,the test results of such therapeutics unveiled that efficient siRNA delivery to tumor tissues is still challenging.Albumin is considered an ideal carrier for delivering hydrophobic agents into tumor tissue because it is highly concentrated and long-circulating in blood and has propensity of tumor enrichment.Herein,we synthesized lipid conjugated siRNAs(LsiRNAs),which showed high affinity to albumin.Mechanistically,LsiRNAs non-covalently bind to the hydrophobic core of albumin through its octadecyl tails.The small size of albumin/LsiRNAs allows the complex to penetrate tumor tissue efficiently.Biodistribution test proved that albumin extremely prolonged circulation time and increased tumor retention of associated LsiRNAs.Notably,LsiRNA against programmed death ligand-1(Pdl1)efficiently suppressed tumor growth as well as prolonged survival time of tumor bearing mice by increasing infiltration of CD8^(+)T cells as well as promoted the maturation of dendritic cells both in tumor and lymph.Together,LsiRNAs provide a simple but effective way for siRNA tumor delivery that“hitchhikes”on albumin.Bo Hu Sudong Kong Yuhua Weng Deyao Zhao Abid Hussain Qingze Jiao Shijing Zhan Ling Qiu Jianguo Lin Minhao Xie Bo Li Yuanyu Huang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,11:0

9Photocatalytic Degradation of 4-Chlorophenol by Gd-Doped β-Bi2O3 Under Visible Light Irradiation显示文摘Chlorophenols are known as persistent organic pollutants.Therefore,research on the removal of chlorophenols has attracted widespread attention.Hereto,the photocatalytic degradation of 4-chlorophenol by Gd-doped β-Bi2O3 under visible light irradiation was studied.The results showed that Gd-doped β-Bi2O3 materials are efficient catalysts for the photocatalytic degradation of chlorophenols,and 2%(atomic traction)Gd-doped β-Bi2O3 exhibits the highest photocatalytic activity for 4-chlorophenol degradation,because doping an appropriate amount of Gd^3+ions can effectively reduce the recombination rate of the photogenerated e^-/h^+pairs and then enhance the photocatalytic performance.When the reaction was carried out at 25 ℃ for 6 h using the 2% Gd-doped/β-Bi2O3 micro/nano materials of 200 mg and at air flow rate of 40 mL/min,the degradation rate of 4-chlorophenol reached 92.3%.Additionally based on the analysis of the products,it was speculated that the dominant photocatalytic degradation mechanism of 4-chlorophenol by Gd-doped β-Bi2O3 under visible light irradiation is an oxidative process involving an attack by the hydroxyl radical.LIN Shijing DU Wutong TONG Laga JI Tao JIAO Xinxin 2019Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2019,35,1:0
10Facile Synthesis and High-Value Utilization of Ammonia显示文摘Ammonia is a key component in fertilizer and the carbon-free hydrogen carrier.Catalytic ammonia synthesis and utilization have played a central role in the development of chemical engineering.The industrial production of ammonia remains dependent on the energy-and carbon-intensive Haber-Bosch process.A major effort has been devoted to developing robust and efficient catalysts,as well as alternative benign processes.Herein,we detail our endeavors that develop the ammonia synthesis and decomposition catalysts,and utilize the ammonia energy.We firstly discuss the catalysts for ammonia synthesis via dissociative and associative process,and the regulation of catalysts'properties.Then,we review the burgeoning electrocata-lytic nitrogen reduction process,focusing on the enhanced catalytic performances by the regulation of the catalysts and the electrode.Additionally,we provide a novel high-value utilization of ammonia to achieve the'zero-carbon'circular economy.The promising catalysts,reactors,and ammonia energy systems have been discussed in detail.We end this Account that offers future research directions and prospects of ammonia.Yu Luo Shijing Liang Xiuyun Wang Bingyu Lin Chongqi Chen Lilong Jiang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemistry2022,40,8:0
11In Vitro Antibacterial Test of Alkaline Hydrogen Water on Four Kinds of Common Pathogenic Microorganisms显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to investigate in vitro antibacterial effect of alkaline hydrogen water on Escherichia coli,Salmonella,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus.[Method] With Cortex cinnamomi extract(1 g/m L) and pure water as the control,the minimal inhibitory concentrations(MIC) against four kinds of common pathogenic microorganisms were tested through microdilution method.[Result] When the alkaline hydrogen water was diluted to 1/8 times of the original concentration,it had significant antibacterial effects on four kinds of common mi-croorganisms with the concentration of 1.5 ×10~5 CFU/m L,which had equivalent effect with C.cinnamomi extract group.[Conclusion]The alkaline hydrogen water has remarkable antibacterial effects on the four kinds of common microorganisms,which may provide a new important way for pre-venting disease occurrence and reducing the harms of pathogenic microorganisms.Guo Shijing Wang Yanping Fu Shijun Dong Lin Xu Qianqian Shen Zhiqiang 2018Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2018,10,2:0
12Enhancing thermoelectric performance of SrFBiS_(2-x)Se_(x) via band engineering and structural texturing显示文摘SrFBiS_(2) is a quaternary n-type semiconductor with rock-salt-type BiS_(2) and fluorite-type SrF layers alternately stacked along the c axis.The tunability of the crystal and electronic structures as well as the intrinsically low thermal conductivity make this compound a promising parent material for thermo-electric applications.In the current work,we show that alloying of Se and S in SrFBi_(S) 2 reduces the optical band gap with the second conduction band serving as an electron-transport medium,simultaneously increasing the electron concentration and effective mass.In addition,the raw material Bi_(2)Se_(3) is shown to act as liquid adjuvant during the annealing process,favoring preferred-orientation grain growth and forming strengthen microstructural texturing in bulk samples after hot-pressed sintering.Highly ordered lamellar grains are stacked perpendicular to the pressure direction,leading to enhanced mobility along this direction.The synthetic effect results in a maximum power factor of 5.58 μm W cm^(-1) K^(-2) at 523 K for SrFBiSSe and a peak zT=0.34 at 773 K,enhancements of 180%compared with those of pristine SrFBiS_(2).Hai Huang Chen Lin Shijing Li Kai Guo Jianxin Zhang Wanyu Lyu Jiye Zhang Juanjuan Xing Ying Jiang Jiong Yang Jun Luo 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,2:0
13Phase Behavior of the Ternary Solution Involving Rodlike and Random Coil Polymers显示文摘The present paper covers the phase behavior of poly(pbenzamide)(PBA)/Nylon 6/H 2SO 4 and poly(pphenylene terephthalamide) (PPTA)/Nylon 6/H 2SO 4 systems. The transition temperatures detected by the Depolarized Light Intensity measurements were used to construct the phase diagram in which the influence of temperature was shown.
