1Efficient production of ethyl levulinate from cassava over Al2(SO4)3 catalyst in ethanol–water system显示文摘One-pot achievement of ethyl levulinate from cassava was conducted in ethanol-water system over several simple sulfate salt catalysts.Al_2(SO_4)_3 catalyst had the best performance in synthesizing ethyl levulinate comparing with those of a series of sulfate salts.The highest yields of ethyl levulinate was up to39.27%as well as 7.78%levulinate acid when cassava was catalyzed in ethanol medium by adding 10 wt%water.^(13)C and ~1H NMR spectroscopic investigations confirmed that isomerization of glucose to fructose over Al_2(SO_4)_3 catalyst is an important step in producing ethyl levulinate and levulinate acid.Due to aggregations of Al^(3+) under hydrothermal conditions,tiny amount of Al^(3+) were detected in filtrate at the percentage of 0.32%even if in absolute water.Bronsted and Lewis acids could improve the yield of ethyl levulinate and levulinate acid by synergistic effect.All results suggested that A1_2(SO_4)_3 was a simple and efficient catalyst for ethyl levulinate and levulinate acid production.Jin Tan Qiying Liu Lungang Chen Tiejun Wang Longlong Ma Guanyi Chen 2017Journal of Energy Chemistry2017,26,1:11
2A Method for Detection of Main Metabolites in Aromatic Rice Seeds显示文摘[Objective] A method was developed for the analysis of main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS).[Method]The main metabolites in seeds of 9 different aromatic rice varieties were compared and analyzed with two methods. Method 1: the compound was extracted by the mixture of anhydrous ethanol and methylene chloride( V/V = 1∶ 1) at 60 ℃ for 3 h in water bath; the extract was isolated and detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry using HP-5 capillary column with scan monitoring mode. Method 2: the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds were detected using headspace solid phase micro-extraction and gas chromatography mass spectrometry( GC-MS). [Result]Fifteen types of common metabolites were found in 9 different aromatic rice varieties. Method 1 was more effective than method 2 in detecting the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds. 3Selective hydrogenolysis of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-dimethylfuran over Co_3O_4 catalyst by controlled reduction显示文摘2,5-dimethyfuran(DMF), which is produced from 5-hydroxymethyfurfural(HMF) by hydrodeoxygenation(HDO), is a high quality fuel due to the high heating value, the high octane number and the suitable boiling point. Selective hydrogenation of HMF into liquid fuel DMF has been widely researched. In this paper, Co_3O_4 catalyst was prepared by co-precipitation and was reduced at different temperatures to form Co–CoO_x catalysts. The characterization of catalysts was tested by XRD, TEM, XPS, TPR, BET and NH3-TPD.Co–CoO_x possessed a high amount of Co metal and CoO_x acidic sites, wherein Co worked as the active hydrogenation sites and CoO_x acted as the acid promoter to facilitate the selective HDO of HMF to DMF.The synergistic effect of Co–CoO_x is the key for HDO of HMF, obtaining 83.3% of DMF yield at 170 °C, 12 h and the reduction temperature of 400 °C. 4Preparation and characterization of NaYF_4:Er^(3+),Tm^(3+)@NaYF_4:Ce^(3+),Tb^(3+) microcrystals with dual-mode emissions at the single-particle level显示文摘Under hydrothermal environment,we synthesized lanthanide ions doped sodium yttrium fluoride(NaYF4:Er,Tm@NaYF4:Ce,Tb) luminescent microcrystals via an epitaxial growth technique.The structure and morphology of these microcrystals were examined by SEM,TEM,EDS and XRD measurements.These particles show dual-mode emissions with red upconversion(UC) and green down conversion(DC) as single particles level.The mean length and diameter of these microparticles increase from 0.43 to2.26 μm and from 1.33 to 1.86 μm,respectively.Most interestingly,the photoluminescence properties of NaYF4:Er,Tm@NaYF4:Ce,Tb phosphor crystals are highly dependent on the crystallite size.The microcrystals fluoresce emit dual-mode emissions when they are solid or dispersed in solvents.Benefiting its intensive fluorescence and uniform morphology,these materials hold great potential for security and anti-counterfeiting applications.Xianfu Jiao Weihao Ye Qiying Huang Jie Luo Linliang Yu Xiaotang Liu 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,7:3

10In situ synthesis of biomass-derived Ni/C catalyst by self-reduction for the hydrogenation of levulinic acid to γ-valerolactone显示文摘Herein,we reported in situ synthesis of biomass-derived Ni/C catalyst by self-reduction with pomelo peel.Compared with the conventional method, which includes carbonization, activation, impregnation and reduction, the entire preparation process was simplified to two steps, which was more straightforward. This synthesis method was green as Ni/C can be prepared without any additional chemical and the self-reduction process was realized in N2, which can avoid using H2 thus averting some problems such as storage, transportation and safety of H2. 18“Several birds with one stone”strategy of pH/thermoresponsive flame-retardant/photothermal bactericidal oil-absorbing material for recovering complex spilled oil显示文摘Although many material designs or strategic methods have been proposed for treating oil spills and oily wastewater,the complex oily state,dealing with the harsh operating conditions of oil–water separation(such as the recovery of viscous spilled crude oil,bacteria-containing oily wastewater,and removal of spilled oil under fire),and the autorecycling of oil and absorption materials remain a great challenge.This work proposed an ingenious design strategy of“several birds with one stone”to prepare p H/thermoresponsive flame-retardant/photothermal bactericidal P-Fe_(3)O_(4)-polydopamine(PDA)@melamine–formaldehyde(MF)foams.This design makes the foams remarkably effective in the recovery of spilled viscous crude oil as well as in the separation of bacteria-containing oily emulsions,particularly for instant fire extinguishing by magnetically controlled oil absorption as well as for fire alarms.The photothermal effect and p H response induce a change in the surface wettability of the foams,facilitating excellent autoadsorption/desorption of the spilled oil.The photothermal bactericidal activity and fouling resistance of the foam are beneficial to the separation of bacteria-containing oily wastewater.Outstanding flame-retardant properties and maneuverable magnetic control enable the foam to rapidly recover the spilled oil in a large range of fires,extinguish fires instantly,and facilitate early fire warning.The proposed strategy is expected to inspire further research on treating oil spills under complex conditions.Ya Chen Jing Lin Gaber A.M.Mersal Jianliang Zuo Jialin Li Qiying Wang Yuhong Feng Jianwei Liu Zili Liu Bin Wang Ben Bin Xu Zhanhu Guo 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,33:1
