| 4 | Solid-state reaction synthesis and chemical stability studies in Nd-doped zirconolite-rich ceramics显示文摘In this study, Nd-bearing zirconolite-rich ceramics were prepared by solid-state reaction process using CaF_2,ZrO_2, Ti,TiO_2, Fe_2 O_3 and Nd_2O_3 as the raw materials. Neodymium was used as trivalent actinide surrogate and designed to substitute the Ca and Zr sites of zirconolite with general stoichiometry of Ca_(1-x)Zr_(1-x)Nd_(2 x)Ti_2O_7(0≤x≤0.3). Density of Fe-Nd-O sample reaches a maximum value of 4.13 g/cm^2 after being sintered at 1325 ℃ for 42 h. Three major phases, namely zirconolite, perovskite and pseudobrookite, are observed in all these samples. The EDX result shows that Nd_2O_3 can be successfully incorporated into the lattice structure of the prepared zirconolite-rich minerals and replace the Ca sites of zirconolite and perovskite with Fe^(3+) as the charge-compensating ion. Furthermore, the thermal conductivities are all in the range of 1.51-1.67 W/(m·K). | 5 | Anti-VEGF therapy prevents Müller intracellular edema by decreasing VEGF-A in diabetic retinopathy显示文摘Background:Although vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGF-A)is known to play a key role in causing retinal edema,whether and how VEGF-A induces intracellular edema in the retina still remains unclear.Methods:Sprague-Dawley rats were rendered diabetic with intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin.Intravitreal injection of ranibizumab was performed 8 weeks after diabetes onset.rMC-1 cells(rat Müller cell line)were treated with glyoxal for 24 h with or without ranibizumab.The expression levels of inwardly rectifying K^(+)channel 4.1(Kir4.1),aquaporin 4(AQP4),Dystrophin 71(Dp71),VEGF-A,glutamine synthetase(GS)and sodium-potassium-ATPase(Na^(+)-K^(+)-ATPase)were examined using Western blot.VEGF-A in the supernatant of the cell culture was detected with ELISA.The intracellular potassium and sodium levels were detected with specific indicators.Results:Compared with normal control,protein expressions of Kir4.1 and AQP4 were down-regulated significantly in diabetic rat retinas,which were prevented by ranibizumab.The above changes were recapitulated in vitro.Similarly,the intracellular potassium level in glyoxal-treated rMC-1 cells was increased,while the intracellular sodium level and Na^(+)-K^(+)-ATPase protein level remained unchanged,compared with control.However,ranibizumab treatment decreased intracellular sodium,but not potassium.Conclusion:Ranibizumab protected Müller cells from diabetic intracellular edema through the up-regulation of Kir4.1 and AQP4 by directly binding VEGF-A.It also caused a reduction in intracellular osmotic pressure. | Tianqin Wang Chaoyang Zhang Hai Xie Mengmeng Jiang Haibin Tian Lixia Lu Guo-Tong Xu Lin Liu Jingfa Zhang | 2021 | Eye and Vision2021,8,1: | 3 |
| 6 | Theoretical study on the mechanism of cycloaddition between dimethyl methylene carbene and acetone显示文摘The mechanism of the cycloaddition reaction of singlet dimethyl methylene carbene and acetone has been studied by using second-order Moller-Plesset perturbation and density functional theory. The geometrical parameters, harmonic vibrational frequencies and energy of stationary points on the potential energy surface are calculated by MP2/6-31G* and B3LYP/6-31G* methods. The results show that path b of the cycloaddition reaction (1) would be the major reactive channel of the cycloaddition reaction between singlet dimethyl methylene carbene and acetone, which pro- ceeds in two steps: i) The two reactants form an energy-rich intermediate (INT1b), which is an exothermic reaction of 23.3 kJ/mol with no energy barrier. ii) The intermediate INT1b isomerizes to a three-membered ring product (P1) via transition state TS1b with energy barrier of 22.2 kJ/mol. The reaction rate of this reaction and its competitive reactions do greatly differ, with excellent selectivity. A series of(Gd_(1-x)Nd_x)_2(Zr_(1-y)Ce_y)_2 O_7(0 ≤ x, y ≤ 1) ceramics were irradiated with a 500 keV He ions at room temperature at fluences ranging from 1 × 10^(15) to 1 × 10^(17) ions/cm^2. The irradiated samples were characterized using GIXRD, Raman and SEM measurements. From the GIXRD and Raman observations, the results indicate that all the samples display a deficient fluorite structure after irradiation. The irradiation toleration increases with the irradiation depth increasing under experimental conditions, and Nd_2 Ce_2 O_7 has the best irradiation stability in the(Gd_(1-x)Nd_x)_2(Zr_(1-y)Ce_y)_2 O_7(0≤ x. y≤1).
