The cGAS-STING signaling in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases: Future novel target option for pharmacotherapy显示文摘The cyclic GMP-AMP synthase(cGAS)-stimulator of interferon genes(STING) signaling exert essential regulatory function in microbial-and onco-immunology through the induction of cytokines, primarily type I interferons. Recently, the aberrant and deranged signaling of the cGAS-STING axis is closely implicated in multiple sterile inflammatory diseases, including heart failure, myocardial infarction, cardiac hypertrophy, nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases, aortic aneurysm and dissection, obesity, etc. This is because of the massive loads of damage-associated molecular patterns(mitochondrial DNA, DNA in extracellular vesicles) liberated from recurrent injury to metabolic cellular organelles and tissues, which are sensed by the pathway. Also, the cGAS-STING pathway crosstalk with essential intracellular homeostasis processes like apoptosis, autophagy, and regulate cellular metabolism.Targeting derailed STING signaling has become necessary for chronic inflammatory diseases. Meanwhile, excessive type I interferons signaling impact on cardiovascular and metabolic health remain entirely elusive. In this review, we summarize the intimate connection between the cGAS-STING pathway and cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. We also discuss some potential small molecule inhibitors for the pathway. This review provides insight to stimulate interest in and support future research into understanding this signaling axis in cardiovascular and metabolic tissues and diseases. | Patrick Kwabena Oduro Xianxian Zheng Jinna Wei Yanze Yang Yuefei Wang Han Zhang Erwei Liu Xiumei Gao Mei Du Qilong Wang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,1: | 18
Effects of Pulsed Magnetic Field on Microsegregation of Solute Elements in a Ni-Based Single Crystal Superalloy显示文摘The effects of a pulsed magnetic field(PMF) on the microsegregation of solute elements during directional solidification of a Ni-based single crystal superalloy were experimentally investigated, and the results show that the PMF significantly affects the microsegregation of Al,Ti,Co,Mo and W elements in the alloy. However, the distribution behavior differs for both positive and negative segregation elements. With the PMF,the microsegregation of negative segregation elements,Co and W,was restrained effectively, while that of positive segregation elements,Al,Tiand Mo,was aggravated.A segregation model was established to reveal the distribution mechanism of the elements with PMF.It is considered that, under the action of PMF,the jumping of solute atoms from the liquid phase to solid phase is hindered, but the jumping of solute atoms from the solid phase into liquid phase is promoted during solidification. As a result, the effective distribution coefficient of the solute atoms is reduced, which leads to the reduction of microsegregation of negative segregation elements and aggravation of microsegregation of positive segregation elements. | Yingju Li Yuefei Teng Xiaohui Feng Yuansheng Yang | 2017 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,1: | 12
Anorthite dissolution promoted by bacterial adhesion:Direct evidence from dialytic experiment显示文摘Bacterial adhesion is crucial to the dissolution of minerals and rocks.By employing dialysis method,we designed comparative experiments to investigate the dissolution behavior of anorthite with the mediation of both adhered and non-adhered Paenibacillus polymyxa. The results show that during 10 experimental days, the dissolution of anorthite was promoted considerably by P.polymyxa and metabolites.Nanoscale precipitates were formed in contact experiment.Anorthite has a higher release of Ca and lower releases of Al and Si in dialysis experiment than in contact experiment. The difference implies that the release of Ca is controlled by mechanism of proton-exchange,whereas those of Al and Si are controlled by ligand-complexation in which Al-O-Si bonds are destroyed first.Kinetically the release of Ca is controlled mainly by surface reaction and leached-layer diffusion. Both of them are restrained by adhered bacteria. The releases of Al and Si are controlled mainly by surface reaction, which is accelerated by adhered bacteria. | ZHOU YueFei WANG RuCheng LU XianCai | 2011 | Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,2: | 9
Endothelial activation and dysfunction in COVID-19:from basic mechanisms to potential therapeutic approaches显示文摘On 12 March 2020,the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. As of 4 August 2020,more than 18 million confirmed infections had been reported globally. Most patients have mild symptoms, but some patients develop respiratory failure which is the leading cause of death among COVID-19 patients.Endothelial cells with high levels of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 expression are major participants and regulators of inflammatory reactions and coagulation.Accumulating evidence suggests that endothelial activation and dysfunction participate in COVID-19 pathogenesis by altering the integrity of vessel barrier, promoting pro-coagulative state, inducing endothelial inflammation, and even mediating leukocyte infiltration. This review describes the proposed cellular and molecular mechanisms of endothelial activation and dysfunction during COVID-19 emphasizing the principal mediators and therapeutic implications. | Yuefei Jin Wangquan Ji Haiyan Yang Shuaiyin Chen Weiguo Zhang Guangcai Duan | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 6
PDMS microchannel fabrication technique based on microwire-molding显示文摘Micro-flow channel is basic functional component of microfluidic chip, and every step-forward of its construction technique has been receiving concern all over the world. This article presents a not-complicated but flexible method for fabrication of micro-flow channels. This method mainly utilizes the conventional molding capability of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) and widespread commercial microwires as templates. We have fabricated out some conventional types of microchannels with different topological shapes,as examples for the demonstration of this flexible fabrication route which was not dependent on the stringent demands of photolithographical or microelectromechanical system(MEMS) techniques. The smooth surface,high-intensity,and high flexibility of the wires made it possible to create many types of topological structures of the two-dimensional or three-dimensional microchannel or channel array. The geometric shape of the cross-section of thus forming microchannel in PDMS was the negative of that of embedded-in microwire,in high-fidelity if suitable measures were taken.More-over,such a microchannel fabrication process can easily integrate the conductivity and low resistivity of the metal wire to create micro-flow devices that are suitable for the electromagnetic control of liquid or the temperature regulation in the microchannel.Furthermore some preliminary optical analysis was provided for the observation of thus forming rounded microchannel.Based on this molding strategy,we even made some prototypes for functional microflow application, such as microsolenoids chip and temperature control gadgets. And an experiment of forming a droplet in the cross channel further confirmed the feasibility and applicability of this flexible microchannel forming technique. | JIA YueFei JIANG JiaHuan MA XiaoDong LI Yuan HUANG HeMing CAI KunBao CAI ShaoXi WU YunPeng | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,24: | 5
On conformal measures for infinitely renormalizable quadratic polynomials显示文摘We study a conformal measure for an infinitely renormalizable quadratic polynomial. We prove that the conformal measure is ergodic if the polynomial is unbranched and has complex bounds. The main technique we use in the proof is the three-dimensional puzzle for an infinitely renormalizable quadratic polynomial. | HUANG Zhiyong~1 JIANG Yunping~(2,3) & WANG Yuefei~3 1. | 8 | Transformations and non-degenerate maps显示文摘We shall prove the equivalences of a non-degenerate circle-preserving map and a M(o)bius transformation in ^Rn, of a non-degenerate geodesic-preserving map and an isometry in Hn of a non-degenerate line-preserving map and an affine transformation in Rn. That a map is non-degenerate means that the image of the whole space under the map is not a circle, or geodesic or line respectively. These results hold without either injective or surjective, or even continuous assumptions, which are new and of a fundamental nature in geometry. | LI Baokui & WANG Yuefei Institute of Mathematics, Academy of Mathematics and System Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100080, China Graduate School, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100080, China | 2005 | Science China Mathematics2005,48,z1: | 4
Recent insights for the emerging COVID-19:Drug discovery, therapeutic options and vaccine development显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 has been marked as a highly pathogenic coronavirus of COVID-19 disease into the human population, causing over 5.5 million confirmed cases worldwide. As COVID-19 has posed a global threat with significant human casualties and severe economic losses, there is a pressing demand to further understand the current situation and develop rational strategies to contain the drastic spread of the virus.Although there are no specific antiviral therapies that have proven effective in randomized clinical trials, currently, the rapid detection technology along with several promising therapeutics for COVID-19 have mitigated its drastic transmission.Besides, global institutions and corporations have commenced to parse out effective vaccines for the prevention of COVID-19.Herein,the present review will give exhaustive details of extensive researches concerning the drug discovery and therapeutic options for COVID-19 as well as some insightful discussions of the status of COVID-19. | Yuefei Zhu Jia Li Zhiqing Pang | 2021 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2021,16,1: | 4
Sn_(4)P_(3)-induced crystalline/amorphous composite structures for enhanced sodium-ion battery anodes显示文摘The optimization of anode materials such as Sn,P and Sn4P3 in terms of capacity and cyclability is crucial to improve the overall performance of sodium-ion batteries. However, the delicate fabrication of these materials, including the balanced crystalline/amorphous domains, reasonable particle size and distribution, complementary components exhibiting synergetic reactions, among others, still greatly retards the realization of maximum performance.Herein,a series of Sn/P-based composite materials with a plum pudding configuration were fabricated to achieve controlled crystalline/amorphous structures as well as optimized size and distribution in a carbon framework.By using a facile and low-cost ball milling method, the structural transformation of Sn4P3 into phase-separated crystalline Sn and amorphous P in a carbonaceous framework can be finely controlled, producing a series of binary(Sn4 P3/C),quaternary(Sn4P3/Sn/P/C) and ternary(Sn/P/C) composites.Due to the complementary components,crystalline/amorphous adjustment, crystallite sizes and well-integrated interfaces, the quaternary Sn4P3/Sn/P/C composite showed the best electrochemical performance, with a noticeable long-cycle performance of 382 mA hg-1 and 86% capacity retention for nearly 300 cycles.Different from binary and ternary composites, the discharge of quaternary composite generates no noticeable signals of Na15Sn4 and Na3 P in the ex-situ X-ray diffraction patterns, suggesting the crystallite growth of sodiation products can be depressed.Moreover,Sn4 P3 in the quaternary composite can be partially regenerated in the desodiation reaction, implying the significant short-range interaction and thus better synergetic reactions between Sn and P components. The results demonstrate that the design and organization of crystalline/amorphous structures can serve as an efficient strategy to develop novel electrode materials for sodium ion batteries. | Jaffer Saddique Xu Zhang Tianhao Wu Heng Su Shiqi Liu Dian Zhang Yuefei Zhang Haijun Yu | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,20: | 3
The sound and complete R-calculus for revising propositional theories显示文摘The AGM postulates are for the belief revision(revision by a single belief), and the DP postulates for the iterated revision(revision by a finite sequence of beliefs). Li gave an R-calculus for R-configurations?|Γ,where ? is a set of atomic formulas or the negations of atomic formulas, and Γ is a finite set of formulas. In this paper, two deduction systems for the revision of a theory by another theory are given such that the systems are sound and complete, that is, if ?|Γ■Γ′ is provable then Γ′■ ? is consistent and Γ′- ? is a maximal subset of Γ such that(Γ′- ?) ∪ ? is consistent; and for any finite theories ? and Γ, there is a finite theoryΓ′ such that Γ′- ? is a maximal subset of Γ such that(Γ′- ?) ∪ ? is consistent, and ?|Γ ? Γ′ is provable. Moreover, if?|Γ■Γ′ is provable then Γ′ satisfies the AGM and the DP postulates. | LI Wei SUI YueFei SUN MeiYing | 2015 | Science China(Information Sciences)2015,58,9: | 2
MicroRNA-628-5p Facilitates Enterovirus 71 Infection by Suppressing TRAF3 Signaling显示文摘To date,EV71 infection still poses a great challenge to the health of infants and young children.1 Much established evidence suggests that EV71 infection depends on a wide variety of host factors, including cell surface receptors for EV71 entry, innate immune response,miRNAs,and lncRNAs.2,3 It is thought that diverse signaling pathways are required for EV71 to escape the host immune response.4 Innate immunity serves as the first line of defense against pathogens.Tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor(TRAF)proteins are essential components of signaling pathways activated by Toll-like receptor(TLR)or RIG-I-like receptor(RLR)family members.TRAF3 is widely expressed by many cell types, including all nucleated immune cells,in which it plays many roles in the regulation of immune functions.5 TRAF3 plays a significant role in regulating the functions of B and T lymphocytes.TRAF3 is a highly versatile regulator that positively controls type I interferon and cytokine production through interferon regulatory factors(IRFs)and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB).6 A recent study indicated that EV71-induced ubiquitin-specific protease 19(USP19)negatively regulates type I IFN signaling by targeting TRAF3. | Dong Li Shuaiyin Chen Weiguo Zhang Chao Zhang Tiantian Sun Yue Du Ronghua Ding Yanlei Gao Yuefei Jin Guangcai Duan | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,5: | 2
Microstructure Evolution and Mechanical Behavior of Laser Melting Deposited TA15 Alloy at 500℃ under In-Situ Tension in SEM显示文摘TA15 alloy fabricated by laser melting deposition was investigated at 500℃ under tensile deformation. The damage behavior of microstructure was analyzed by the real time observation of the microstructure evolution, microcracks initiation and propagation using in-situ tensile equipment fitted in the SEM chamber. Finally, the mechanism of fracture was discussed. The result showed anisotropic mechanical properties in X-and Z-direction. The existence of columnar β grains and its orientation to the tensile direction were the major factors inducing the anisotropic mechanical properties. As compared to Z-direction specimen, high tensile strength was observed in X-direction specimen due to the resistance in slips propagation provided by the prior-β grain boundaries( β GBs). Accumulation of the cracks at prior β GB caused the shear fracture. In case of Z-direction specimen, parallel orientation of prior β GB and GB α with the tensile direction resulted in a homogeneous deformation. The high reduction of cross section showed the enhanced ductile characteristics at high temperature. | Muhammad Rizwan Junxia Lu Fei Chen Ruxia Chai Rafi Ullah Yuefei Zhang Ze Zhang | 2021 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,9: | 2
Stable wide-temperature and low volume expansion Al batteries:Integrating few-layer graphene with multifunctional cobalt boride nanocluster as positive electrode显示文摘To achieve stable positive electrode for promoting the overall electrochemical performance of Al batteries(ABs),here novel cobalt boride(CoB)nanoclusters are synthesized to construct composite electrodes with few-layer graphene(FLG).Due to the presence of amorphous channels in the employed CoB nanoclusters, the ABs with FLG/CoB composite positive electrodes exhibit high rate.capability and both mechanical and electrochemical stability in the ABs.With assistance of in situ scanning electron microscopy(SEM),the observation results suggest that the positive electrode of CoB nanoclusters holds almost ignorable volume variation upon electrochemical processes, which substantially alleviates the massive electrode expansion induced by the anion intercalation in the composite positive electrode.Interestingly, the composite positive electrodes provide stable reversible energy storage capability within a broadened temperature range(-30-60℃),promising a novel strategy to design advanced ABs positive electrodes with enhanced overall energy storage performance. | Li-Li Chen Na Li Huifeng Shi Yuefei Zhang Wei-Li Song Shuqiang Jiao Haosen Chen Daining Fang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,2: | 2

The pointwise convergence of p-adic Mbius maps显示文摘The convergence of linear fractional transformations is an important topic in mathematics. We study the pointwise convergence of p-adic Mbius maps, and classify the possibilities of limits of pointwise convergent sequences of Mbius maps acting on the projective line P1(C p),where C p is the completion of the algebraic closure of Q p.We show that if the set of pointwise convergence of a sequence of p-adic Mbius maps contains at least three points, the sequence of p-adic Mbius maps either converges to a p-adic Mbius map on the projective line P1(C p),or converges to a constant on the set of pointwise convergence with one unique exceptional point. This result generalizes the result of Piranian and Thron(1957)to the non-archimedean settings. | WANG YueFei YANG JingHua | 2014 | Science China Mathematics2014,57,1: | 2

Future Research Trend for Improving Large Reflector Antenna Service Performance显示文摘A large reflector antenna is one of the key components of a deep space telemetry track and command(TT&C)network, which is of great importance for human space activities, such as satellite communication, spaceflight, and deep space exploration[1].The main feature of this antenna type is its large aperture and often it requires strict surface accuracy to ensure high gain and high pointing performance[2,3].There are two kinds of reflector antennas:non-fully movable antenna and fully steerable antenna. The Fivehundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope in China is one representative non-fully movable antenna with a super large aperture and low operation frequency. The fully steerable reflector antennas worldwide can be further divided into four categories according to their aperture diameters and highest operation frequencies,as shown in Fig.1.Most of the antennas in Fig.1 can be found in Ref.[4]and the details are not presented here.Category 1 includes the traditional reflectors with large apertures and low operation frequencies. | Peiyuan Lian Congsi Wang Song Xue Yan Wang Yuefei Yan Qian Xu Baoyan Duan Na Wang Yuhu Duan Yang Wu | 2021 | Engineering2021,7,8: | 2
Ferruginous Microspherules in Bauxite at Maochang, Guizhou Province, China: Products of Microbe-Pyrite Interaction?显示文摘The Maochang bauxite in Guizhou Province is one of the important aluminum ore deposits in southwestern China. Ferruginous spherules, measuring about a few microns across, were found in the transitional layer of the deposit. The EDS and XRD results show that the microspherules are composed mostly of iron (hydr)oxide minerals (goethite) with only weak presence of aluminum and silicon. Occasionally, some pyrite micrograins with dissolved surface are found associated with goethite within the spherules. It is thus suggested that microspherules are linked to pyrite oxidization. It is also thought that microbial activities contribute not only to pyrite oxidization, but also to ball-like assemblage of the iron (hydr)oxides. The mechanism of the formation of ferruginous microspherules is also believed to be important in studying geomicrobiology of bauxite. | ZHOU Yuefei WANG Rucheng LU Jianjun LI Yiliang | 2006 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2006,80,4: | 2
