1Minimally invasive surgery alone compared with intensity-modulated radiotherapy for primary stage I nasopharyngeal carcinoma显示文摘Background:The National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines recommend intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)as the primary curative treatment for newly diagnosed nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC),but the radiation-related complications and relatively high medical costs remain a consequential burden for the patients.Endoscopic nasopharyngectomy(ENPG)was successfully applied in recurrent NPC with radiation free and relatively low medical costs.In this study,we examined whether ENPG could be an effective treatment for localized stage I NPC.Methods:Ten newly diagnosed localized stage I NPC patients voluntarily received ENPG alone from June 2007 to September 2017 in Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center.Simultaneously,the data of 329 stage I NPC patients treated with IMRT were collected and used as a reference cohort.The survival outcomes,quality of life(QOL),and medical costs between two groups were compared.Results:After a median follow-up of 59.0 months(95%CI 53.4-64.6),no death,locoregional recurrence,or distant metastasis was observed in the 10 patients treated with ENPG.The 5-year overall survival,local relapse-free survival,regional relapse-free survival,and distant metastasis-free survival among the ENPG-treated patients was similar to that among the IMRT-treated patients(100%vs.99.1%,100%vs.97.7%,100%vs.99.0%,100%vs.97.4%,respectively,P>0.05).In addition,compared with IMRT,ENPG was associated with decreased total medical costs($4090.42±1502.65 vs.$12620.88±4242.65,P<0.001)and improved QOL scores including dry mouth(3.3±10.5 vs.34.4±25.8,P<0.001)and sticky saliva(3.3±10.5 vs.32.6±23.3,P<0.001).Conclusions:ENPG alone was associated with promising long-term survival outcomes,low medical costs,and satisfactory QOL and might therefore be an alternative strategy for treating newly diagnosed localized stage I NPC patients who refused radiotherapy.However,the application of ENPG should be prudent,and prospective clinical tri-als were needed to further verify the results.You-Ping Liu Xing Lv Xiong Zou Yi-Jun Hua Rui You Qi Yang Le Xia Shao-Yan Guo Wen Hu Meng-Xia Zhang Si-Yuan Chen Mei Lin Yu-Long Xie Li-Zhi Liu Rui Sun Pei-Yu Huang Wei Fan Xiang Guo Ming-Huang Hong Ming-Yuan Chen 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:17

4Coexpression of MYC and BCL-2 predicts prognosis in primary gastrointestinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma显示文摘AIM:To investigate whether MYC and BCL-2 coexpression has prognostic significance in primary gastrointestinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(PGI-DLBCL)patients,and explore its associations with patients’clinical parameters.METHODS:Fresh and paraffin-embedded tumor tissue samples from 60 PGI-DLBCL patients who had undergone surgery at the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital from January 2005 to May 2010 were obtained,and 30 lymphoid tissue samples from reactive lymph nodes of age-and sexmatched patients represented control samples.Staging and diagnostic procedures were conducted according to the Lugano staging system.All patients had been treated with three therapeutic modalities:surgery,chemotherapy,or radiotherapy.Expression of MYC and BCL-2 were detected at both protein and m RNA levels by immunohistochemistry and real-time RT-PCR.RESULTS:Positive expression levels of MYC and BCL-2proteins were detected in 35%and 45%of patients,respectively.MYC+/BCL-2+protein was present in30%of patients.MYC and BCL-2 protein levels were correlated with high MYC and BCL-2 m RNA expression,respectively(both P<0.05).We found that advancedstage disease(atⅡE-Ⅳ)was associated with MYC and BCL-2 coexpression levels(P<0.05).In addition,MYC+/BCL-2+patients had more difficulty in achieving complete remission than others(P<0.05).Presenceof MYC protein expression only affected overall survivaland progression-free survival(PFS)when BCL-2 proteinwas coexpressed.The adverse prognostic impact ofMYC+/BCL-2+protein on PFS remained significant(P<0.05)even after adjusting for age,Lugano stage,international prognostic index,and BCL-2 proteinexpression in a multivariable model.CONCLUSION:MYC+/BCL-2+patients have worsechemotherapy response and poorer prognosis thanpatients who only express one of the two proteins,suggesting that assessment of MYC and BCL-2 expressionby immunohistochemistry has clinical significance inpredicting clinical outcomes of PGI-DLBCL patients.Bing Xia Le Zhang Shan-Qi Guo Xiao-Wu Li Fu-Lian Qu Hai-Feng Zhao Lian-Yu Zhang Bao-Cun Sun James You Yi-Zhuo Zhang 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,8:7
5A novel approach for one-step forming ε-caprolactam from cyclohexane nitrozation catalyzed by transition metal salt显示文摘The nitrozation reaction of cyclohexane in one-step reaction to form ε-caprolactam has been studied using transition metal salt as catalysts in this work. 6Nuclear m^(6)A reader YTHDC1 regulates the scaffold function of LINE1 RNA in mouse ESCs and early embryos显示文摘N^(6)-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)on chromosome-associated regulatory RNAs(carRNAs),including repeat RNAs,plays important roles in tuning the chromatin state and transcription,but the intrinsic mechanism remains unclear.Here,we report that YTHDC1 plays indispensable roles in the self-renewal and differentiation potency of mouse embryonic stem cells(ESCs),which highly depends on the m^(6)A-binding ability.Ythdcl is required for sufficient rRNA synthesis and repression of the 2-cell(2C)transcriptional program in ESCs,which recapitulates the transcriptome regulation by the LINE1 scaffold.Detailed analyses revealed that YTHDC1 recognizes m^(6)A on LINE1 RNAs in the nucleus and regulates the formation of the LINE1-NCL partnership and the chromatin recruitment of KAP1.Moreover,the establishment of H3K9me3 on 2C-related retrotrans-posons is interrupted in Ythdcl-depleted ESCs and inner cell mass(ICM)cells,which consequently increases the transcriptional activities.Our study reveals a role of m^(6)A in regulating the RNA scaffold,providing a new model for the RNA-chromatin cross-talk.Chuan Chen Wenqiang Liu Jiayin Guo Yuanyuan Liu Xuelian Liu Jun Liu Xiaoyang Dou Rongrong Le Yixin Huang Chong Li Lingyue Yang Xiaochen Kou Yanhong Zhao You Wu Jiayu Chen Hong Wang Bin Shen Yawei Gao Shaorong Gao 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,6:4

8Blockchain-enabled wireless communications:a new paradigm towards 6G显示文摘With the deployment of fifth-generation(5 G)wireless networks worldwide,research on sixth-generation(6 G)wireless communications has commenced.It is expected that 6 G networks can accommodate numerous heterogeneous devices and infrastructures with enhanced efficiency and security over diverse,e.g.spectrum,computing and storage,resources.However,this goal is impeded by a number of trust-related issues that are often neglected in network designs.Blockchain,as an innovative and revolutionary technology that has arisen in the recent decade,provides a promising solution.Building on its nature of decentralization,transparency,anonymity,immutability,traceability and resiliency,blockchain can establish cooperative trust among separate network entities and facilitate,e.g.efficient resource sharing,trusted data interaction,secure access control,privacy protection,and tracing,certification and supervision functionalities for wireless networks,thus presenting a new paradigm towards 6 G.This paper is dedicated to blockchain-enabled wireless communication technologies.We first provide a brief introduction to the fundamentals of blockchain,and then we conduct a comprehensive investigation of the most recent efforts in incorporating blockchain into wireless communications from several aspects.Importantly,we further propose a unified framework of the blockchain radio access network(B-RAN)as a trustworthy and secure paradigm for 6 G networking by utilizing blockchain technologies with enhanced efficiency and security.The critical elements of B-RAN,such as consensus mechanisms,smart contract,trustworthy access,mathematical modeling,cross-network sharing,data tracking and auditing and intelligent networking,are elaborated.We also provide the prototype design of B-RAN along with the latest experimental results.Jiaheng Wang Xintong Ling Yuwei Le Yongming Huang Xiaohu You 2021National Science Review2021,8,9:4

11Super-conductive silver nanoparticles functioned three-dimensional CuxO foams as a high-pseudocapacitive electrode for flexible asymmetric supercapacitors显示文摘Copper oxide has aroused great concern in energy storage fields due to its properties of high theoretical capacitance,low cost and mild toxicity.However,its wide application still remains challenges owing to its poor electrical conductivity and unstable cycling life.Binder-free foam electrodes possess abundant porous structures and high specific surface area,which could get good contact with electrolyte.Herein,we demonstrate Ag nanoparticles decorated CuxO nanowires grown spontaneously on copper foam(CF)electrode for asymmetric supercapacitor.The skeleton structure of CF provides large amounts of active sites for the growth of CuxO nanowires.Moreover,Ag nanoparticles further decrease the internal resistance and enhance the electrochemical performance.Ag/CuxO/CF-40 electrode presents a high area specific capacitance of 1192 mF cm^(-2)at 2 mA cm^(-2)and the influence of surface capacitance-dominated process and diffusion-controlled process are discussed in detail.Besides,the energy density of the as-prepared asymmetric supercapacitor(ASC)reaches 46.32 mWh cm^(-2)at a power density of 3.00 mW cm^(-2).A 2V LED is lighted successfully by two ASC in series.This work provides a new strategy to prepare low internal resistance and binder-free flexible Ag/CuxO/CF electrode,which demonstrates a good potential application in flexible supercapacitors or other wearable electronic devices.Hui Jiang Xuehua Yan Le Wang Xiaonong Cheng Jieyu Miao Mingyu You Yihan Zhu Jianmei Pan 2021Journal of Materiomics2021,7,1:2

17Prototype of single-event effect localization system with CMOS pixel sensor显示文摘The single-event effect(SEE) is a serious threat to electronics in radiation environments. The most important issue in radiation-hardening studies is the localization of the sensitive region in electronics to the SEE. To solve this problem, a prototype based on a complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS) pixel sensor, i.e., TopmetalM, was designed for SEE localization. A beam test was performed on the prototype at the radiation terminal of the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL). The results indicated that the inherent deflection angle of the prototype to the beam was 1.7°, and the angular resolution was 0.6°. 19Interconnected graphene scaffolds for functional gas sensors with tunable sensitivity显示文摘In this work,the interconnected graphene scaffolds are prepared by three-dimensional(3 D)printing for multifunctional gas detection with tunable sensitivity.The scaffolds with regularly aligned graphene conductive networks exhibit significant mechanical strength and high electrical stability to multi-direction deformation,which can be attributed to the typical core-shell structure of graphene and PVP.The resistance of the free-standing scaffolds can realize the real-time response to H_(2) O and NO_(2),and the relative resistance change to 100 ppm H_(2) O and 100 ppm NO_(2) can reach 2%and 2.5%,respectively.The charge doping of the oxidizing gases is considered to be the main reason for various response sensitivities of the scaffolds with different orthogonal layers,in which the interconnected conductive network can generate a large specific surface area and significantly improving the adsorption of the target gases and the transfer of charge.The controllable fabrication of regular structure has appropriately great potential for further optimizations and applications in gas detection.Xiao You Jinshan Yang Mengmeng Wang Hongda Wang Le Gao Shaoming Dong 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,58,23:1
