| 1 | Direct Yaw Moment Control for Distributed Drive Electric Vehicle Handling Performance Improvement显示文摘For a distributed drive electric vehicle(DDEV) driven by four in-wheel motors, advanced vehicle dynamic control methods can be realized easily because motors can be controlled independently, quickly and precisely. And direct yaw-moment control(DYC) has been widely studied and applied to vehicle stability control. Good vehicle handling performance: quick yaw rate transient response, small overshoot, high steady yaw rate gain, etc, is required by drivers under normal conditions, which is less concerned, however. Based on the hierarchical control methodology, a novel control system using direct yaw moment control for improving handling performance of a distributed drive electric vehicle especially under normal driving conditions has been proposed. The upper-loop control system consists of two parts: a state feedback controller, which aims to realize the ideal transient response of yaw rate, with a vehicle sideslip angle observer; and a steering wheel angle feedforward controller designed to achieve a desired yaw rate steady gain. Under the restriction of the effect of poles and zeros in the closed-loop transfer function on the system response and the capacity of in-wheel motors, the integrated time and absolute error(ITAE) function is utilized as the cost function in the optimal control to calculate the ideal eigen frequency and damper coefficient of the system and obtain optimal feedback matrix and feedforward matrix. Simulations and experiments with a DDEV under multiple maneuvers are carried out and show the effectiveness of the proposed method: yaw rate rising time is reduced, steady yaw rate gain is increased, vehicle steering characteristic is close to neutral steer and drivers burdens are also reduced. The control system improves vehicle handling performance under normal conditions in both transient and steady response. | 2 | Facilitating effects of berberine on rat pancreatic islets through modulating hepatic nuclear factor 4 alpha expression and glucokinase activity显示文摘AIM: To observe the effect of berberine on insulin secretion in rat pancreatic islets and to explore its possible molecular mechanism. METHODS: Primary rat islets were isolated from male Sprague-Dawley rats by collagenase digestion and treated with different concentrations (1,3,10 and 30 μmol/L) of berberine or 1 μmol/L Glibenclamide (GB) for 24 h. Glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) assay was conducted and insulin was determined by radioimmunoassay. 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was performed to evaluate cytotoxicity. The mRNA level of hepatic nuclear factor 4 alpha (HNF4α) was determined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Indirect immunofluorescence staining and Western blot analysis were employed to detect protein expression of HNF4α in the islets. Glucokinase (GK) activity was measured by spectrophotometric method. RESULTS: Berberine enhanced GSIS rather than basal insulin secretion dose-dependently in rat islets and showed no significant cytotoxicity on islet cells at the concentration of 10 μmol/L. Both mRNA and protein expressions of HNF4α were up-regulated by berberine in a dose-dependent manner,and GK activity was also increased accordingly. However,GB demonstrated no regulatory effects on HNF4α expression or GK activity. | 4 | LA-ICP-MS Zircon U-Pb Dating of Intermediate-Acidic Intrusive Rocks and Molybdenite Re-Os Dating from the Bangpu Mo (Cu) Deposit, Tibet and its Geological Implication显示文摘The multi-stage intrusions of intermediate-acid magma occur in the Bangpu mining district, the petrogenic ages of which have been identified. The times and sequences of their emplacement have been collated and stipulated in detail in this paper by using the laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) zircon U-Pb dating method. The ages of biotite monzogranite that were formed before mineralization in the southwest of this mining district are 70±1 Ma (mean square of weighted deviates (MSWD) =9.5, n=8) and 60.60±0.31 Ma (MSWD=3.8, n=16), which belong to the late Cretaceous-early Paleocene in age. That means, they are products of an early tectonicmagmatic event of the collision between the Indian and Asian continentals. The ages of ore-bearing monzogranite porphyry and ore-bearing diorite porphyrite are 16.23±0.19 Ma (MSWD=2.0, n=26) and 15.16±0.09 Ma (MSWD=3.9, n=5) separately, which belong to the middle Miocene in age; namely, they are products of the Gangdese post-collision extensional stage when crust-mantle materials melted and mixed as well as magmatic intrusion simultaneously occurred. Some zircons with ages of 203.6±2.2 Ma (MSWD=1.18, n=7) were captured in the ore-bearing diorite porphyrite, which shows that there had been tectono-magmatic events in the late Triassic-early Jurassic. Molybdenum (copper) ore-bodies produced in the monzogranite porphyry and copper (molybdenum) ore-bodies produced in the diorite porphyrite are the main ore types in this ore deposit. The model ages of Re-Os isotopic dating for the 11 molybdenite are 13.97-15.84 Ma, while isochron ages are 14.09±0.49 Ma (MSWD=26). The isochron ages of seven molybdenite from molybdenum (copper) ore with monzogranite porphyry type are 14.11±0.31 Ma (MSWD=5.2). There is great error in the isochron ages of four molybdenite from copper (molybdenum) ore with diorite porphyrite type, and their weighted average model ages of 14.6±1.2 Ma (MSWD=41), which generally represent the mineralization age. The results about the Re-Os isotopic dating of molybdenite in the ore of different types have limited exactly that, the minerlazation age of this ore deposits is about 14.09 Ma, which belongs to the middle Miocene mineralization. | 5 | Endovascular treatment with or without intravenous alteplase for acute ischaemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion显示文摘Background and purpose It remains controversial if endovascular treatment(EVT)can improve the outcome of patients with acute basilar artery occlusion(BAO).This study aims to compare the functional outcomes between EVT with and without intravenous thrombolysis(IVT)first in patients who had acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)due to BAO.Methods Patients who had AIS with BAO who underwent EVT within 24 hours of onset were enrolled in this multicentre cohort study,and the efficacy and safety were compared between IVT+EVT and direct EVT.The primary outcome was 90-day functional independence.All outcomes were assessed with adjusted OR(aOR)from the multivariable logistic regression.In addition,a meta-analysis was performed on all recently published pivotal studies on functional independence after EVT in patients with BAO.Results Of 310 enrolled patients with BAO,241(78%)were treated with direct EVT and 69(22%)with IVT+EVT.Direct EVT was associated with a worse functional outcome(aOR,0.46(95%CI 0.24 to 0.85),p=0.01).IVT+EVT was associated with a lower percentage of patients who needed≥3 passes of stent retriever(10.14%vs 20.75%).The meta-analysis regression revealed a potential positive correlation between bridging with IVT first and functional independence(r=0.14(95%CI 0.05 to 0.24),p<0.01).Conclusions This study showed that compared with direct EVT,EVT with IVT first was associated with better functional outcomes in patients with BAO treated within 24 hours of onset.The meta-analysis demonstrated similar favourable efficacy of IVT first followed by EVT in patients with BAO. | Ximing Nie David Wang Yuehua Pu Yufei Wei Qixuan Lu Hongyi Yan Xin Liu Lina Zheng Jingyi Liu Xinxuan Yang Yarong Ding Dacheng Liu Wanying Duan Zhe Zhang Zhonghua Yang Miao Wen Weibin Gu Xinyi Hou Xinyi Leng Yuesong Pan Zhongrong Miao Liping Liu | 2022 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,3: | 10 |
| 6 | Total polysaccharides of the Sijunzi decoction attenuate tumor necrosis factor-α-induced damage to the barrier function of a Caco-2 cell monolayer via the nuclear factor-κB-myosin light chain kinase-myosin light chain pathway显示文摘AIM To explore the protective effects and underlying mechanisms of total polysaccharides of the Sijunzi decoction(TPSJ) on the epithelial barriers in vitro. METHODS Caco-2 cell monolayers were treated with or without TPSJ in the presence or absence of TNF-α, and paracellular permeability and transepithelial electrical resistance(TEER) were measured to evaluate the epithelial barrier function. Immunofluorescence and western blotting were respecti-vely used to evaluate the distribution and expression of the tight junction proteins claudin 1, claudin 2, zo3, and occludin in Caco-2 cells. western blotting was also used to evaluate the cellular expression of myosin light chain(MLC), phosphorylated MLC(pM LC), MLC kinase(MLCK), and nuclear factor(NF)-κB p65. RESULTS TPSJ promoted the proliferation of Caco-2 cells and inhibited TNF-α-induced secretion of pro-inflammatory cyto-kines. Furthermore, TPSJ significantly ameliorated both the reduction of TEER and the increased paracellular permeability observed in tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α-damaged Caco-2 monolayers. Furthermore, TPSJ remarkably attenuated TNF-α-induced morphological changes, downregulated the expression of claudin 1, claudin 2, zo3, and occludin, and markedly suppressed TNF-α-mediated upregulation of p-MLC and MLCK expression. Finally, TPSJ inhibited the activation and expression of NF-κB p65. | 7 | Micro/nano-structured TiO2 surface with dual-functional antibacterial effects for biomedical applications显示文摘Implant-associated infections are generally difficult to cure owing to the bacterial antibiotic resistance which is attributed to the widespread usage of antibiotics.Given the global threat and increasing influence of antibiotic resistance,there is an urgent demand to explore novel antibacterial strategies other than using antibiotics.Recently,using a certain surface topography to provide a more persistent antibacterial solution attracts more and more attention.However,the clinical application of biomimetic nano-pillar array is not satisfactory,mainly because its antibacterial ability against Gram-positive strain is not good enough.Thus,the pillar array should be equipped with other antibacterial agents to fulfill the bacteriostatic and bactericidal requirements of clinical application.Here,we designed a novel model substrate which was a combination of periodic micro/nano-pillar array and TiO2 for basically understanding the topographical bacteriostatic effects of periodic micro/nano-pillar array and the photocatalytic bactericidal activity of TiO2.Such innovation may potentially exert the synergistic effects by integrating the persistent topographical antibacterial activity and the non-invasive X-ray induced photocatalytic antibacterial property of TiO2 to combat against antibiotic-resistant implant-associated infections.First,to separately verify the topographical antibacterial activity of TiO2 periodic micro/nano-pillar array,we systematically investigated its effects on bacterial adhesion,growth,proliferation,and viability in the dark without involving the photocatalysis of TiO2.The pillar array with sub-micron motif size can significantly inhibit the adhesion,growth,and proliferation of Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus)and Escherichia coli(E.coli).Such antibacterial ability is mainly attributed to a spatial confinement size-effect and limited contact area availability generated by the special topography of pillar array.Moreover,the pillar array is not lethal to S.aureus and E.coli in 24 h.Then,the X-ray induced photocatalytic antibacterial property of TiO2 periodic micro/nano-pillar array in vitro and in vivo will be systematically studied in a future work.This study could shed light on the direction of surface topography design for future medical implants to combat against antibiotic-resistant implant-associated infections without using antibiotics. | Xiang Ge Chengzu Ren Yonghui Ding Guang Chen Xiong Lu Kefeng Wang Fuzeng Ren Meng Yang Zhuochen Wang Junlan Li Xinxin An Bao Qian Yang Leng | 2019 | Bioactive Materials2019,4,1: | 8 |

| 10 | Retrospective analysis of interventional treatment of hepatic metastasis from gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors显示文摘Objective: To analyze the angiography appearance of liver metastases from gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors(GEP-NETs),and evaluate the clinical efficacy and prognostic factors of interventional treatment for hepatic metastases.Methods: Fifty GEP-NETs patients with hepatic metastases were treated from January 2012 to December 2016,and received transarterial embolization(TAE) in the hepatic tumor or hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy(HAIC).All patients received 179 times of the intervention therapy in total.Results: Blood supplies were identified in the 50 cases with angiography,which showed that 35 cases had abundant vessels,while 15 cases had poor blood supply.Twenty-two cases were found either collateral blood supply,or portal vein invasion or arterial-portal vein fistula.The best curative efficacy was complete remission(CR)in 4 cases,partial remission(PR) in 28 cases and stable disease(SD) in 18 cases during the process of treatment.The angiography(P=0.047) and the frequency of intervention(P=0.037) showed significantly statistical difference with Kaplan-Meier analysis.The Cox analysis showed that more than 3 times of interventional therapy was an independent prognostic factor.Conclusions: Interventional treatment is safe and effective for GEP-NETs,and is beneficial to patients with main hepatic metastases after endocrine therapy. | Peng Liu Xu Zhu Jie Li Ming Lu Jiahua Leng Ying Li Jiangyuan Yu | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,6: | 4 |

| 14 | Zinc protects against cadmium-induced toxicity in neonatal murine engineered cardiac tissues via metallothionein-dependent and independent mechanisms显示文摘Cadmium(Cd)is a nonessential heavy metal and a prevalent environmental toxin that has been shown to induce significant cardiomyocyte apoptosis in neonatal murine engineered cardiac tissues(ECTs).In contrast,zinc(Zn)is a potent metallothionein(MT)inducer,which plays an important role in protection against Cd toxicity.In this study,we investigated the protective effects of Zn against Cd toxicity in ECTs and explore the underlying mechanisms.ECTs were constructed from neonatal ventricular cells of wild-type(WT)mice and mice with global MT gene deletion(MT-KO).In WT-ECTs,Cd(5−20μM)caused a dose-dependent toxicity that was detected within 8 h evidenced by suppressed beating,apoptosis,and LDH release;Zn(50−200μM)dose-dependently induced MT expression in ECTs without causing ECT toxicity;co-treatment of ECT with Zn(50µM)prevented Cd-induced toxicity.In MT-KO ECTs,Cd toxicity was enhanced;but unexpectedly,cotreatment with Zn provided partial protection against Cd toxicity.Furthermore,Cd,but not Zn,significantly activated Nrf2 and its downstream targets,including HO-1;inhibition of HO-1 by a specific HO-1 inhibitor,ZnPP(10µM),significantly increased Cd-induced toxicity,but did not inhibit Zn protection against Cd injury,suggesting that Nrf2-mediated HO-1 activation was not required for Zn protective effect.Finally,the ability of Zn to reduce Cd uptake provided an additional MT-independent mechanism for reducing Cd toxicity.Thus,Zn exerts protective effects against Cd toxicity for murine ECTs that are partially MT-mediated.Further studies are required to translate thesefindings towards clinical trials. | Hai-tao Yu Juan Zhen Jian-xiang Xu Lu Cai Ji-yan Leng Hong-lei Ji Bradley B Keller | 2020 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,5: | 3 |
| 15 | The genome of the recretohalophyte Limonium bicolor provides insights into salt gland development and salinity adaptation during terrestrial evolution显示文摘Halophytes have evolved specialized strategies to cope with high salinity.The extreme halophyte sea lavender(Limonium bicolor)lacks trichomes but possesses salt glands on its epidermis that can excrete harmful ions,such as sodium,to avoid salt damage.Here,we report a high-quality,2.92-Gb,chromosome-scale L.bicolor genome assembly based on a combination of Illumina short reads,single-molecule,real-time long reads,chromosome conformation capture(Hi-C)data,and Bionano genome maps,greatly enriching the genomic information on recretohalophytes with multicellular salt glands.Although the L.bicolor genome contains genes that show similarity to trichome fate genes from Arabidopsis thaliana,it lacks homologs of the decision fate genes GLABRA3,ENHANCER OF GLABRA3,GLABRA2,TRANSPARENT TESTA GLABRA2,and SIAMESE,providing a molecular explanation for the absence of trichomes in this species.We identified key genes(LbHLH and LbTTG1)controlling salt gland development among classical trichome homologous genes and confirmed their roles by showing that their mutations markedly disrupted salt gland initiation,salt secretion,and salt tolerance,thus offering genetic support for the long-standing hypothesis that salt glands and trichomes may share a common origin.In addition,a whole-genome duplication event occurred in the L.bicolor genome after its divergence from Tartary buckwheat and may have contributed to its adaptation to high salinity.The L.bicolor genome resource and genetic evidence reported in this study provide profound insights into plant salt tolerance mechanisms that may facilitate the engineering of salt-tolerant crops. | Fang Yuan Xi Wang Boqing Zhao Xiaojing Xu Miao Shi Bingying Leng Xinxiu Dong Chaoxia Lu Zhongtao Feng Jianrong Guo Guoliang Han Haikuan Zhang Jianwei Huang Min Chen Bao-Shan Wang | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,6: | 3 |
| 16 | Rational design of palladium single-atoms and clusters supported on silicoaluminophosphate-31 by a photochemical route for chemoselective hydrodeoxygenation of vanillin显示文摘Chemoselective hydrodeoxygenation of vanillin is of great importance in converting biomass into high value-added chemicals.Herein,we describe a facile photochemical route to access palladium single atoms and clusters supported on silicoaluminophosphate-31(SAPO-31)as a highly active,chemoselective,and reusable catalyst for hydrodeoxygenation of vanillin.Characterizations by aberration-corrected high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy,extended X-ray absorption fine structure measurement,and CO-absorbed diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy reveal the atomically dispersed palladium single atoms and clusters are loosely bonded and randomly dispersed,without forming strong palladium-palladium metallic bonding,over the SAPO-31 support.This catalyst,with a full metal availability to the reactants,exhibits exceptional catalytic activity(TOF:3,000 h^(−1),Yield:>99%)in the hydrodeoxygenation of vanillin toward 2-methoxy-4-methylphenol(MMP)under mild conditions(1 atm,80°C,30 min),along with excellent stability,scalability(up to 100-fold),and wide substrate scope.The superior catalytic performance can be attributed to the synergistic effect of the positively charged palladium single atoms and fully exposed clusters,as well as the strong metal-support interactions.This work may offer a new avenue for the design and synthesis of fully exposed metal catalysts with targeted functionalities. | Xiaowen Lu Chunmu Guo Mingyang Zhang Leipeng Leng J.Hugh Horton Wei Wu Zhijun Li | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,11: | 3 |
| 17 | The 1 PW/0.1 Hz laser beamline in SULF facility显示文摘In this paper,we report the recent progress on the 1 PW/0.1 Hz laser beamline of Shanghai Superintense Ultrafast Laser Facility(SULF).The SULF-1 PW laser beamline is based on the double chirped pulse amplification(CPA)scheme,which can generate laser pulses of 50.8 J at 0.1 Hz after the final amplifier;the shot-to-shot energy fluctuation of the amplified pulse is as low as 1.2%(std).After compression,the pulse duration of 29.6 fs is achieved,which can support a maximal peak power of 1 PW.The contrast ratio at-80 ps before main pulse is measured to be 2.5×10^-11.The focused peak intensity is improved by optimizing the angular dispersion in the grating compressor.The maximal focused peak intensity can reach 2.7×10^19W/cm2 even with an f/26.5 off-axis parabolic mirror.The horizontal and vertical angular pointing fluctuations in 1 h are measured to be 1.89 and 2.45μrad,respectively.The moderate repetition rate and the good stability are desirable characteristics for lasermatter interactions.The SULF-1 PW laser beamline is now in the phase of commissioning,and preliminary experiments of particle acceleration and secondary radiation under 300–400 TW/0.1 Hz laser condition have been implemented.The progress on the experiments and the daily stable operation of the laser demonstrate the availability of the SULF-1 PW beamline. | Zongxin Zhang Fenxiang Wu Jiabing Hu Xiaojun Yang Jiayan Gui Penghua Ji Xingyan Liu Cheng Wang Yanqi Liu Xiaoming Lu Yi Xu Yuxin Leng Ruxin Li Zhizhan Xu | 2020 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2020,8,1: | 2 |

| 19 | A 0.19 ppm/°C bandgap reference circuit with high-PSRR显示文摘A high-order curvature-compensated CMOS bandgap reference(BGR) topology with a low temperature coefficient(TC) over a wide temperature range and a high power supply reject ratio(PSRR) is presented.High-order correction is realized by incorporating a nonlinear current INL, which is generated by ?V_(GS) across resistor into current generated by a conventional first-order current-mode BGR circuit. In order to achieve a high PSRR over a broad frequency range, a voltage pre-regulating technique is applied. The circuit was implemented in CSMC 0.5 μm 600 V BCD process. The experimental results indicate that the proposed topology achieves TC of0.19 ppm/°C over the temperature range of 165 °C(-40 to 125 °C), PSRR of-123 d B @ DC and-56 d B @ 100 k Hz.
