1Total mesopancreas excision for pancreatic head cancer: analysis of 120 cases显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and safety of total mesopancreas excision(TMpE) in the treatment of pancreatic head cancer. Methods: The clinical and pathological data of 120 patients with pancreatic head cancer who had undergone TMpE in our center from May 2010 to January 2014 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: The mean operative time was(275.0±50.2) min and the average intra-operative blood loss was(390.0±160.5) mL. Post-operative complications were reported in 45 patients, while no peri-operative death was noted. The specimen margins were measured in three dimensions, and 86 patients(71.6%) achieved R0 resection. 2Endovascular treatment with or without intravenous alteplase for acute ischaemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion显示文摘Background and purpose It remains controversial if endovascular treatment(EVT)can improve the outcome of patients with acute basilar artery occlusion(BAO).This study aims to compare the functional outcomes between EVT with and without intravenous thrombolysis(IVT)first in patients who had acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)due to BAO.Methods Patients who had AIS with BAO who underwent EVT within 24 hours of onset were enrolled in this multicentre cohort study,and the efficacy and safety were compared between IVT+EVT and direct EVT.The primary outcome was 90-day functional independence.All outcomes were assessed with adjusted OR(aOR)from the multivariable logistic regression.In addition,a meta-analysis was performed on all recently published pivotal studies on functional independence after EVT in patients with BAO.Results Of 310 enrolled patients with BAO,241(78%)were treated with direct EVT and 69(22%)with IVT+EVT.Direct EVT was associated with a worse functional outcome(aOR,0.46(95%CI 0.24 to 0.85),p=0.01).IVT+EVT was associated with a lower percentage of patients who needed≥3 passes of stent retriever(10.14%vs 20.75%).The meta-analysis regression revealed a potential positive correlation between bridging with IVT first and functional independence(r=0.14(95%CI 0.05 to 0.24),p<0.01).Conclusions This study showed that compared with direct EVT,EVT with IVT first was associated with better functional outcomes in patients with BAO treated within 24 hours of onset.The meta-analysis demonstrated similar favourable efficacy of IVT first followed by EVT in patients with BAO.Ximing Nie David Wang Yuehua Pu Yufei Wei Qixuan Lu Hongyi Yan Xin Liu Lina Zheng Jingyi Liu Xinxuan Yang Yarong Ding Dacheng Liu Wanying Duan Zhe Zhang Zhonghua Yang Miao Wen Weibin Gu Xinyi Hou Xinyi Leng Yuesong Pan Zhongrong Miao Liping Liu 2022Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,3:10
3Defective Kernel 39 encodes a PPR protein required for seed development in maize显示文摘RNA editing is a posttranscriptional process that is important in mitochondria and plastids of higher plants. All RNA editing-specific trans-factors reported so far belong to PLS-class of pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR)proteins. Here, we report the map-based cloning and molecular characterization of a defective kernel mutant dek39 in maize. Loss of Dek39 function leads to delayed embryogenesis and endosperm development, reduced kernel size, and seedling lethality. Dek39 encodes an E subclass PPR protein that targets to both mitochondria and chloroplasts, and is involved in RNA editing in mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase3(nad3) at nad3-247 and nad3-275. C-to-U editing of nad3-275 is not conserved and even lost in Arabidopsis, consistent with the idea that no close DEK39 homologs are present in Arabidopsis. However, the amino acids generated by editing nad3-247 and nad3-275 are highly conserved in many other plant species, and the reductions of editing at these two sites decrease the activity of mitochondria NADH dehydrogenase complex I,indicating that the alteration of amino acid sequence is necessary for Nad3 function. 7Halophyte Vegetation Influences Soil Microbial Community of Coastal Salt Marsh显示文摘Coastal wetlands are the most productive ecosystems worldwide and can provide important ecosystem services,yet the characteristics of microbial community within these systems remain poorly understood.Microbial community of salt marsh vegetation and the associated soil physio-chemical properties were investigated in this study.Three typical Suaeda australis,Phragmites australis,Spartina alterniflora wetlands,and non-vegetated bare mudflats in the Zhoushan Islands were studied to advance the understanding of the characteristics of soil bacterial communities in coastal wetlands.Results showed that the bare mudflats exhibited high pH value and soil moisture content compared with the vegetated samples.In different vegetation types,the organic matter content,total nitrogen,and total potassium content decreased in the order:S.alterniflora wetland>P.australis wetland>S.australis wetland,and there was no obvious difference in total phosphorous content.The halophytes could decrease soil salinity compared with bare mudflats.Proteobacteria,Nitrospinae,Bacteroidetes,Acidobacteria,and Nitrospirae were the predominant level across all samples.Functional prediction showed that SPA-covered soil might play vital roles in sulphur cycling,while SUA and PHR covered soils were involved in nitrogen cycling.This study could provide the first insight into the microbial community of this study area and contribute to a better understanding of vegetation microbiota and bioremediation in coastal wetland ecosystem.GU Chen SHI Jiyan RUI Jianliang YU Yanming HUANG Weibin LU Zhinai CHEN Yao CHEN Xiaojun DONG Shudi HU Zhijun YE Chenghua 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,6:1

10The research of HSPB1 in apoptosis,autophagy and cardiogenic shock显示文摘Cardiogenic shock(CS)is a common cause of mortality and treatment remains challenging despite advances in therapeutic options.CS is caused by severe impairment of myocardial performance that results in decreased cardiac output,hypoperfusion of the end organ,and hypoxia.Clinically this presents as hypotension refractory to volume resuscitation with features of end-organ hypoperfusion requiring pharmacological or mechanical intervention.Acute myocardial infarction(AMI)accounts for 81%of patients with CS.Heat shock protein family B member 1(HSPB1)is a multifunctional protein induced by various stress factors and has a protective effect on cells.A large number of studies have demonstrated that HSPB1 plays an important role in regulating apoptosis.Recently,some studies have suggested that HSPB1 also participates in the autophagic process.HSPB1 are expressed in many cells of the cardiovascular system such as endothelial cells,cardiac muscle cells,monocytes,and platelets.They are up-regulated in response to inflammation,oxidative stress,or ischemia and protect cells against extracellular stress factors.Here,we explore the involvement of HSPB1 in apoptosis,autophagy,and CS.We speculate that HSPB1 may exert its anti-myocardial injury role via the regulation of apoptosis and autophagy;this may provide the basis for the development of new approaches for the prevention and treatment of CS.Gu Xiaoxiao Jiang Weibin Chen Fang Liu Xiehong 2023实用休克杂志(中英文)2023,7,6:0
