| 1 | Effect of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation at acupoints on patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus:a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To examine whether transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation at acupoints(Acu-TENS)improved the biochemical and physical indices of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).METHODS:Ninety subjects with T2DM were divided randomly into a control group(n = 30),aerobic exercise group(n- 30),or Acu-TENS group(n = 30).In addition to conventional diabetes drug treatment,patients in the Acu-TENS group received acupoint stimulation,the aerobic exercise group engaged in walking exercises,and the control group was given sham electrical stimulation.All groups were treated for 30 min for each session and five times a week for 2 months.The indices of glycosylated hemoglobin,2 h postprandial glucose,fasting serum insulin,triglyceride,total cholesterol,and body mass index were assessed at pre-treatment,post-treatment,and follow-up,which was 2 months after treatment.RESULTS:The indices of the control group were not changed(P > 0.05) at the three time points.At the pre-treatment measurement,there were significant differences(P > 0.05) in indices among the three groups.At post-treatment,each index of the two groups was lower than that of the control group(P < 0.05),and improved in comparison with the pre-treatment measurement(P < 0.05).In follow-up,each index of the aerobic exercise group and Acu-TENS group increased,but was still decreased compared with the pre-treatment value(P < 0.05),excluding body mass index.CONCLUSION:Acu-TENS could improve the state of patients with T2 DM and be used as a therapy in clinical application. | Wu Zhiyuan Yang Ming Jia Jie Wu Yi Huang Tiansheng Li Mingfen He Zhijie Guo Zhenzhen Leung Mason Chin Pang | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015，35，2： | 5 |

| 4 | Effects of Standardized Rehabilitation on Quality of Life of Stroke Patients at Convalescence and Sequelae Stages显示文摘Objective:To explore the effects of standardized rehabilitation on quality of life (QOL) of stroke patients at convalescence and sequelae stages. Method:A total of 251 stroke patients were randomly divided into a standardized rehabilitation group and a control group. The simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA) scale, the 36-item short-form health survey questionnaire (SF-36) and functional comprehensive assessment (FCA) were administered before as well as after 3, 6 and at 12 months a follow-up study respectively. Statistical analysis was conducted based on the evaluations at 4 testing time points. Result:There was no significant difference in FMA,SF-36 and FCA scores of the two groups before and after 3 months treatments, while FMA,SF-36 and FCA scores of the rehabilitation group were obviously higher than those of the control group either after 6 months treatments or of followup study. Moreover, after 6 months treatments FMA score was apparently higher than the score at the beginning and after 3 months treatments. The FMA, SF36 and FAC scores during the followup visit decreased when compared with scores after 6 months treatments, but increased significantly when compared with the scores at the beginning and after 3 months treatments. | 5 | The Effect of the Early Application of Tirofiban on Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS) after Intravenous Thrombolysis with Urokinase显示文摘Objective:Discussion and analysis of the effect of the early application of Tirofiban on acute ischemic stroke(AIS)after intravenous thrombolysis with urokinase.Method:The subjects of this study are 40 patients with AIS admitted at the Yibin Fourth People’s Hospital,of which were computer-randomized into a control group(20 cases,with regular urokinase intravenous thrombolysis therapy)and a research group(20 cases,combined with early Tirofiban treatment)from January 2018 to December 2022.The intervention outcomes between these two groups were compared and analyzed.Result:The blood platelet-related parameters before treatment had no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05),but the research group was higher than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The Barthel index before treatment in both groups had no statistical difference(P>0.05),but the research group was higher than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Early Tirofiban treatment for patients with AIS after intravenous thrombolysis with urokinase could effectively regulate the blood platelet-related parameters,hence improving treatment benefits and living capacity for patients,with definite clinical benefits. | Mingfen Li | 2023 | Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2023，7，4： | 0 |
