1Experimental and numerical study on fretting wear and fatigue of full-scale railway axles显示文摘This study investigated the fretting wear and fatigue of full-scale railway axles.Fatigue tests were conducted on full-scale railway axles,and the fretting wear and fretting fatigue in the fretted zone of the railway axles were analysed.Three-dimensional finite element models were established based on the experimental results.Then,multi-axial fatigue parameters and a linear elastic fracture mechanics-based approach were used to investigate the fretting fatigue crack initiation and propagation,respectively,in which the role of the fretting wear was taken into account.The experimental and simulated results showed that the fretted zone could be divided into zones I-III according to the surface damage morphologies.Fretting wear alleviated the stress concentration near the wheel seat edge and resulted in a new stress concentration near the worn/unworn boundary in zone II,which greatly promoted the fretting crack initiation at the inner side of the fretted zone.Meanwhile,the stress concentration also increased the equivalent stress intensity factor range DKeq below the mating surface,and thus promoted the propagation of fretting fatigue crack.Based on these findings,the effect of the stress redistribution resulting from fretting wear is suggested to be taken into account when evaluating the fretting fatigue in railway axles.Lang Zou Dongfang Zeng Yabo Li Kai Yang Liantao Lu Caiqin Yuan 2020Railway Engineering Science2020,28,4:7
2Bulk growth and separation of single-walled carbon nanotubes from rhenium catalyst显示文摘Bulk synthesis of single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs)using solid catalyst has been challenging,despite of recent breakthrough in the chirality-specific growth on the flat substrate surface.In this work,we propose a porous magnesia support rhenium catalyst for bulk synthesis of SWNTs.It is found that the well-dispersed catalyst with a high melting point and the optimal chemical vapor deposition reaction conditions account for the growth of SWNTs.Detailed characterizations reveal the produced SWNTs are dominant in(n,n−1)and(n,n−2)species.Furthermore,by using a multicolumn chromatography post-growth separation method,SWNTs with three defined diameter ranges were obtained.This work guides the design of porous oxide supported catalyst for bulk synthesis and diameter-dependent sorting of SWNTs,which will ultimately help harness the extraordinary properties of SWNTs.Chen Ma Yumin Liu Lili Zhang Liu Qian Yiming Zhao Ying Tian Qianru Wu Dong Li Nan Zhao Xueting Zhang Liantao Xin Huaping Liu Pengxiang Hou Chang Liu Maoshuai He Jin Zhang 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:2

14Structural Stress-Fatigue Life Curve Improvement of Spot Welding Based on Quasi‑Newton Method显示文摘ΔF-N curves are usually used to predict the fatigue life of spot welding in engineering,but they are time-consuming and laborious and not universal.For the purpose of predicting the fatigue life of spot welding accurately and efficiently,tensile-shear fatigue tests were conducted to obtain the fatigue life of spot-welded specimens with different sheet thicknesses combinations.These specimens were simulated by using the finite element method,and the structural stress was theoretically calculated.In the double logarithmic coordinate system,the structural stress-fatigue life(S-N)curve of spot welding was fitted by the least-squares method,based on the quasi-Newton method.The square of the correlation coefficient of the S-N curve was taken as the optimization objective,with the correction coefficients of force,bending moment,spot welding diameter,and sheet thickness as the variables.During the optimization process,three different ways were utilized to get three optimized spot welding S-N curves,which are suitable for different situations.The results show that the fitting effect of the S-N curve is improved,the data points are more compact,and the optimization effect is significant.These S-N curves can be used to predict the fatigue life,which provide the basis for practical engineering application.Yahang Qin Shoune Xiao Liantao Lu Bing Yang Xiangjie Li Guangwu Yang 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,2:0
15High-throughput estimation of plant height and above-ground biomass of cotton using digital image analysis and Canopeo显示文摘Plant height and above-ground biomass are important growth parameters that affect crop yield.Efficient and non-destructive technologies of crop phenotypic monitoring play crucial roles in intelligent farmland management.However,the feasibility of using these technologies to estimate cotton plant height and above-ground biomass has not been determined.This study proposed a low cost and high-throughput imaging method combined with Canopeo to extract the percentages of green color from high-definition digital images and establish a model to estimate the cotton plant height and above-ground biomass.The plant height and above-ground biomass field trials were conducted at two levels of irrigation(soil water content 70%±5% and 40%-45%,respectively)using 80 cotton genotypes.The linear fitting performed well across the different cotton genotypes(PH,R^(2)=0.9829;RMSE=2.4 cm;NRMSE=11%and AGB,R^(2)=0.9609;RMSE=0.6 g/plant;and NRMSE=5%),and two levels of irrigation(PH,R^(2)=0.9604;RMSE=2.15 cm;NRMSE=6%and AGB,R^(2)=0.9650;RMSE=4.51 g/plant;and NRMSE=17%).All reached a higher fitting degree.Additionally,the most comprehensive model to estimate the cotton plant height and above-ground biomass(Y=0.4832*X+11.04;Y=0.4621*X-0.3591)was determined using a simple linear regression modeling method.The percentages of green color positively correlated with plant height and above-ground biomass,and each model exhibited higher accuracy(R2≥0.8392,RMSE≤0.0158,NRMSE≤0.06%).Combining a high-definition digital camera with Canopeo enables the prediction of crop growth in the field.The simple linear regression modeling method and the most comprehensive model enable the rapid estimation of the cotton plant height and above-ground biomass.This method can also be used as a baseline to measure other important crop phenotypes.Congcong Guo Liantao Liu Ke Zhang Hongchun Sun Yongjiang Zhang Anchang Li Zhiying Bai Hezhong Dong Cundong Li 2022Technology in Agronomy2022,2,1:0
16A New Bothriolepid Antiarch from the Middle Devonian in Luquan,Yunnan,South China and Its Stratigraphic and Biogeographic Significances显示文摘Chahuaqingolepis magniporus gen.et sp.nov.,a new taxon of Bothriolepididae(Placodermi:Antiarcha),is described from the Middle Devonian in Luquan County,Yunnan Province,South China.The phylogenetic analysis shows that Chahuaqingolepis is the sister group of Wufengshania with the synapomorphy of the large obtected nuchal area.Together with the findings of other associated antiarchs including Dianolepis,Bothriolepis,and Hunanolepis,the new bothriolepid antiarch is assigned to the Bothriolepis sinensis-Hunanolepis fish assemblage,which characterizes the Eifelian of the Middle Devonian in South China.The fish-bearing Tanglishu Formation can be well correlated with the Tiaomajian Formation in Changsha,Shangshuanghe Formation and lower part of the Haikou Formation in Qujing,and Laohutou Formation in Shaoguan and Lechang areas.This discovery not only enriches the Middle Devonian diversity of bothriolepids,but also provides reliable paleoichthyological evidence on the division and correlation of the fish-bearing Devonian strata in South China and deepens the understanding of the biogeography of the Devonian bothriolepids.Sheng Liu Zhaohui Pan Min Zhu Liantao Jia Wenjin Zhao 2023Journal of Earth Science2023,34,4:0
