| 1 | Transcriptional regulation of oil biosynthesis inseed plants: Current understanding, applications,and perspectives显示文摘Plants produce and accumulate triacylglycerol(TAG)in their seeds as an energy reservoir to support the processes of seed germination and seedling development.Plant seed oils are vital not only for the human diet but also as renewable feedstocks for industrial use.TAG biosynthesis consists of two major steps:de novo fatty acid biosynthesis in the plastids and TAG assembly in the endoplasmic reticulum.The latest advances in unraveling transcriptional regulation have shed light on the molecular mechanisms of plant oil biosynthesis.We summarize recent progress in understanding the regulatory mechanisms of wellcharacterized and newly discovered transcription factors and other types of regulators that control plant fatty acid biosynthesis.The emerging picture shows that plant oil biosynthesis responds to developmental and environmental cues that stimulate a network of interacting transcriptional activators and repressors,which in turn fine-tune the spatiotemporal regulation of the pathway genes. | Yuzhou Yang Que Kong Audrey R.Q.Lim Shaoping Lu Hu Zhao Liang Guo Ling Yuan Wei Ma | 2022 | Plant Communications2022,3,5: | 2 |
| 2 | Tolerance of neurite outgrowth to Rho kinase inhibitors decreased by cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor显示文摘In this study, PC12 Adh cells and Neuro-2a cells were treated with Rho-associated kinase inhibitors (Y27632 and Fasudil), a cyclooxygenase-1 selective inhibitor (SC560), and a cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor (NS398). We found that these cells became tolerant to Rho-associated kinase inhibitors, as neurite outgrowth induced by these inhibitors diminished following more than 3 days of exposure in either cell line. The proteins cyclooxygenase-2 and cytosolic prostaglandin E synthetase were upregulated at day 3. NS398 decreased the tolerance to neurite outgrowth induction in both cell lines, whereas SC560 had almost no effect. These findings indicate that cells become tolerant to neurite outgrowth induced by Rho-associated kinase inhibitors, this is at least partly associated with upregulation of proteins involved in the cyclooxygenase-2 pathway, and cyclooxygenases-2 inhibition prevents this tolerance. | Weigang Duan Ling Que Xiaoman Lv Qifeng Li Hua Yin Luyong Zhang | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,34: | 1 |

| 8 | Role of surgical treatments in high-grade or advanced gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms显示文摘Over the last 40 years,the incidence and prevalence of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms(GEP-NENs)have continued to increase.Compared to other epithelial neoplasms in the same organ,GEP-NENs exhibit indolent biological behavior,resulting in more chances to undergo surgery.However,the role of surgery in high-grade or advanced GEP-NENs is still controversial.Surgery is associated with survival improvement of well-differentiated highgrade GEP-NENs,whereas poorly differentiated GEP-NENs that may benefit from resection require careful selection based on Ki67 and other tissue biomarkers.Additionally,surgery also plays an important role in locally advanced and metastatic disease.For locally advanced GEP-NENs,isolated major vascular involvement is no longer an absolute contraindication.In the setting of metastatic GEP-NENs,radical intended surgery is recommended for patients with low-grade and resectable metastases.For unresectable metastatic disease,a variety of surgical approaches,including cytoreduction of liver metastasis,liver transplantation,and surgery after neoadjuvant treatment,show survival benefits.Primary tumor resection in GEP-NENs with unresectable metastatic disease is associated with symptom control,prolonged survival,and improved sensitivity toward systemic therapies.Although there is no established neoadjuvant or adjuvant strategy,increasing attention has been given to this emerging research area.Some studies have reported that neoadjuvant therapy effectively reduces tumor burden,improves the effectiveness of subsequent surgery,and decreases surgical complications. | Qing-Yang Que Lin-Cheng Zhang Jia-Qi Bao Sun-Bin Ling Xiao Xu | 2022 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2022,14,5: | 0 |
