| 1 | High-entropy rare-earth zirconate ceramics with low thermal conductivity for advanced thermal-barrier coatings显示文摘The high-entropy rare-earth zirconate((La_(0.2)Nd_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Gd_(0.2)Yb_(0.2))_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7),5RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7)HEREZs)ceramics were successfully prepared by a new high-speed positive grinding strategy combined with solid-state reaction method.The microstructure,crystal structure,phase composition,and thermophysical and mechanical properties of the samples were systematically investigated through various methods.Results indicate that the samples have a single-phase defect fluorite-type crystal structure with excellent high-temperature thermal stability.The as-prepared samples also demonstrate low thermal conductivity(0.9–1.72 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1)at 273–1273 K)and high coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE,10.9×10^(−6)K^(−1)at 1273 K),as well as outstanding mechanical properties including large Young’s modulus(E=186–257 GPa)and high fracture toughness(KIC).Furthermore,the formation possibility of the as-prepared samples was verified through the first-principles calculations,which suggested the feasibility to form the 5RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7)HE-REZs in the thermodynamic direction.Therefore,in view of the excellent multifunctional properties exhibited by the as-prepared 5RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7)HE-REZs,they have great potential applications in next-generation thermal-barrier coatings(TBCs). | Debao LIU Baolu SHI Liyan GENG Yiguang WANG Baosheng XU Yanfei CHEN | 2022 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,6: | 6 |
| 2 | Development of an Inactivated Iridovirus Vaccine Against Turbot Viral Reddish Body Syndrome显示文摘Turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L.) reddish body iridovirus(TRBIV) was propagated in turbot fin cells(TF cells) and inactivated as the TRBIV vaccine with its protection efficiency evaluated in this study.TF cells were cultured in 10% bovine calf serum(BCS)-containing MEM medium(pH7.0) at 22℃,in which TRBIV propagated to a titer as high as 105.6 TCID50 mL-1.The TRBIV was inactivated with 0.1% formalin and formulated with 0.5% aluminum hydroxide.The inactivated vaccine caused neither cytopathogenic effect(CPE) on TF cells nor pathogenic effect on turbots.After being administered with the vaccine twice via muscle injection,the turbot developed high-tittered TRBIV neutralizing antibodies in a dose-dependent manner.The vaccine protected the turbot from dying with an immunoprotection rate of 83.3% as was determined via subcutaneous vaccination in the laboratory and 90.5% via bath vaccination in turbot farms,respectively.The inactivated vaccine was very immunogenic,efficiently preventing tur-bot from death.It holds the potential of being applied in aquaculture. | FAN Tingjun HU Xiuzhong WANG Liyan GENG Xiaofen JIANG Guojian YANG Xiuxia YU Miaomiao | 2012 | Journal of Ocean University of China2012,11,1: | 5 |

| 4 | Adaptive Multiscale Method for Two-dimensional Nanoscale Adhesive Contacts显示文摘There are two separate traditional approaches to model contact problems: continuum and atomistic theory. Continuum theory is successfully used in many domains, but when the scale of the model comes to nanometer, continuum approximation meets challenges. Atomistic theory can catch the detailed behaviors of an individual atom by using molecular dynamics (MD) or quantum mechanics, although accurately, it is usually time-consuming. A multiscale method coupled MD and finite element (FE) is presented. To mesh the FE region automatically, an adaptive method based on the strain energy gradient is introduced to the multiscale method to constitute an adaptive multiscale method. Utilizing the proposed method, adhesive contacts between a rigid cylinder and an elastic substrate are studied, and the results are compared with full MD simulations. The process of FE meshes refinement shows that adaptive multiscale method can make FE mesh generation more flexible. Comparison of the displacements of boundary atoms in the overlap region with the results from full MD simulations indicates that adaptive multiscale method can transfer displacements effectively. Displacements of atoms and FE nodes on the center line of the multiscale model agree well with that of atoms in full MD simulations, which shows the continuity in the overlap region. Furthermore, the Von Mises stress contours and contact force distributions in the contact region are almost same as full MD simulations.
