| 1 | LIN28 coordinately promotes nucleolar/ribosomal functions and represses the 2C-like transcriptional program in pluripotent stem cells显示文摘LIN28 is an RNA binding protein with important roles in early embryo development,stem cell differentiation/re-programming,tumorigenesis and metabolism.Previous studies have focused mainly on its role in the cytosol where it interacts with Let-7 microRNA precursors or mRNAs,and few have addressed LIN28's role within the nucleus.Here,we show that LIN28 displays dynamic temporal and spatial expression during murine embryo development.Maternal LIN28 expression drops upon exit from the 2-cell stage,and zygotic LIN28 protein is induced at the forming nucleolus during 4-cell to blas-tocyst stage development,to become dominantly expressed in the cytosol after implantation.In cultured pluripotent stem cells(PSCs),loss of LIN28 led to nucleolar stress and activation of a 2-cell/4-cell-like transcriptional program characterized by the expression of endogenous retrovirus genes.Mechanistically,LIN28 binds to small nucleolar RNAs and rRNA to maintain nucleolar integrity,and its loss leads to nucleolar phase separation defects,ribosomal stress and activation of P53 which in turn binds to and activates 2C transcription factor Dux.LIN28 also resides in a complex containing the nucleolar factor Nucleolin(NCL)and the transcrip-tional repressor TRIM28,and LIN28 loss leads to reduced occupancy of the NCL/TRIM28 complex on the Dux and rDNA loci,and thus de-repressed Dux and reduced rRNA expression.Lin28 knockout cells with nucleolar stress are more likely to assume a slowly cycling,translationally inert and anabolically inactive state,which is a part of previously unappreciated 2C-like transcriptional program.These findings elucidate novel roles for nucleolar LIN28 in PSCs,and a new mechanism linking 2C program and nucleolar functions in PSCs and early embryo development. | Zhen Sun Hua Yu Jing Zhao Tianyu Tan Hongru Pan Yuqing Zhu Lang Chen Cheng Zhang Li Zhang Anhua Lei Yuyan Xu Xianju Bi Xin Huang Bo Gao Longfei Wang Cristina Correia Ming Chen Qiming Sun Yu Feng Li Shen Hao Wu Jianlong Wang Xiaohua Shen George Q.Daley Hu Li Jin Zhang | 2022 | Protein & Cell2022,13,7: | 4 |
| 2 | Nonvolatile memristor based on heterostructure of 2D room-temperature ferroelectric α-In2Se3 and WSe2显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D) ferroelectricity is considered to have significant potential for information storage in the future. Semiconducting ferroelectrics that are stable at room temperature afford many possibilities for the assembly of various high-performance heterostructures and fabricating multifuntional devices.Herein, we report the synthesis of a stable van der Waals(vd W) single-crystal semiconductor α-In2 Se3.Piezoresponse force microscopy(PFM) measurements demonstrated the out-of-plane ferroelectricity in ~15 layers α-In2 Se3 at room temperature. Both ferroelectric domains with opposite polarization and the tested amplitude and phase curve proved that this semiconductor exhibits hysteresis behavior during polarization.In the α-In2Se3/WSe2 vertical heterostructure device, the switchable diode effect and nonvolatile memory phenomenon showed a high on/off ratio and a small switching voltage. The distinct resistance switches were further analyzed by band alignment of the heterostructure under different polarizations by first principle calculations. | 4 | Formation, preservation and connectivity control of organic pores in shale显示文摘In view of strong heterogeneity and complex formation and evolution of organic pores,field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM),Raman spectrum and fluid injection+CT/SEM imaging technology were used to study the macerals,organic pores and connectivity of organic pores in the lower Paleozoic organic-rich shale samples from Southern China.Combined with the mechanism of hydrocarbon generation and expulsion and pore forming mechanism of organic matter-based activated carbon,the relationships between organic pore development and the organic matter type,hydrocarbon generation process,diagenesis and pore pressure were explored to reveal the controlling factors of the formation,preservation and connectivity of organic pores in shale.(1)The generation of organic pores goes on through the whole hydrocarbon generation process,and is controlled by the type,maturity and decomposition of organic matter;the different hydrocarbon generation components and differential hydrocarbon-generation evolution of kerogen and solid asphalt lead to different pore development characteristics;organic pores mainly develop in solid bitumen and hydrogen-rich kerogen.(2)The preservation of organic pores is controlled by maturity and diagenesis,including the steric hindrance effect of in-situ hydrocarbon retention,rigid mineral framework formed by recrystallization,the coupling mechanism of pore-fluid pressure and shale brittleness-ductility transition.(3)The Ro of 4.0%is the maturity threshold of organic pore extinction,the shale layers with Ro larger than 3.5%have high risk for shale gas exploration,these shale layers have low gas contents,as they were in an open state before uplift,and had high hydrocarbon expulsion efficiency and strong aromatization,thus having the'congenital deficiency'of high maturity and pore densification.(4)The pores in the same organic matter particle have good connectivity;and the effective connectivity between different organic matter pores and inorganic pores and fractures depends on the abundance and distribution of organic matter,and development degree of pores and fractures in the shale;the accumulation,preservation and laminar distribution of different types of organic matter in high abundance is the prerequisite for the development and connection of organic pores,grain margin fractures and bedding fractures in reservoir. | BORJIGIN Tenger LU Longfei YU Lingjie ZHANG Wentao PAN Anyang SHEN Baojian WANG Ye YANG Yunfeng GAO Zhiwei | 2021 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,4: | 1 |
| 5 | AgPdCo hollow nanospheres electrocatalyst with high activity and stability toward the formate electrooxidation显示文摘The widespread commercial application of direct formate fuel cell(DFFC)is limited by the lack of efficient electrocatalysts for the formate oxidation reaction(FOR).AgPdCo hollow nanospheres(H-NSs)with jagged surfaces are successfully synthesized via a facile method involving the wet-chemical synthesis of AgPdCo nanospheres(NSs)and galvanic replacement reaction between Pd salt and AgPdCo NSs.Surpassing Ag_(30)Pd_(69)Co_(1) NSs and most of previously reported electrocatalysts,Ag_(9)Pd_(90)Co_(1) H-NSs exhibit extremely high FOR activity with a peak current density of 3.08 A·mg_(Pd)^(−1).Apart from the competitive activity,Ag_(9)Pd_(90)Co_(1) H-NSs show greatly improved chronoamperometric and cycling stability,whereby the current density retains about 0.24 A·mg_(Pd)^(−1) after 3,600 s electrocatalysis and the mass activity maintains 54.06%of the initial value after 500 cycles.The unique hollow nanosphere and synergistic effect are responsible for the enhanced activity and stability.This study will provide new clues for the development of outstanding electrocatalysts. | Qiao Wang Fuyi Chen Quan Tang Longfei Guo Tao Jin Bowei Pan Junpeng Wang Zhen Li Bo Kou Weiqi Bian | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,7: | 1 |
| 6 | Multi-scale simulation model of air system based on cross-dimensional data transmission method显示文摘The Secondary Air System(SAS)plays an important role in the safe operation and performance of aeroengines.The traditional 1D-3D coupling method loses information when used for secondary air systems,which affects the calculation accuracy.In this paper,a Cross-dimensional Data Transmission method(CDT)from 3D to 1D is proposed by introducing flow field uniformity into the data transmission.First,a uniformity index was established to quantify the flow field parameter distribution characteristics,and a uniformity index prediction model based on the locally weighted regression method(Lowess)was established to quickly obtain the flow field information.Then,an information selection criterion in 3D to 1D data transmission was established based on the Spearman rank correlation coefficient between the uniformity index and the accuracy of coupling calculation,and the calculation method was automatically determined according to the established criterion.Finally,a modified function was obtained by fitting the ratio of the 3D mass-average parameters to the analytical solution,which are then used to modify the selected parameters at the 1D-3D interface.Taking a typical disk cavity air system as an example,the results show that the calculation accuracy of the CDT method is greatly improved by a relative 53.88%compared with the traditional 1D-3D coupling method.Furthermore,the CDT method achieves a speedup of 2 to 3 orders of magnitude compared to the 3D calculation. | Lei WANG Junkui MAO Song WEI Longfei WANG Jin PAN | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,5: | 0 |
| 7 | Evaluation of Effects of Tea Saponin on Behavior, Growth and Development of Cylas formicarius (Coleoptera: Brentidae)显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to expand the insect resistance spectrum of tea saponin, and its control effect on Cylas formicarius and the potential as an insecticide for pest control were explored. [Methods] The olfactory avoidance rate of C. formicarius to tea saponin aqueous solution was determined by Y-type olfactometer;the feeding avoidance rate of C. formicarius to tea saponin was determined by the selective method;the antifeedant rate of C. formicarius to tea saponin was determined by non-selective method;and the development duration and mortality of C. formicarius under the influence of tea saponin were determined by artificial feeding method. [Results] C. formicarius had no significant olfactory tendency to every concentration of tea saponin, and the olfactory avoidance rate of 20.0% tea saponin aqueous solution was only 9.14%. Tea saponin had a feeding avoidance effect on C. formicarius, and the avoidance rate increased with the increase of tea saponin concentration. At 6 h, the feeding avoidance rates of 0.5%, 1.0%, 5.0%, 10.0% and 20.0% tea saponin on C. formicarius were 58.14%, 77.77%, 88.23%, 95.00% and 97.65 %, respectively;and the feeding avoidance effect at 6 h was significant, and the feeding avoidance rate was higher than that of 1 h. Tea saponin had a significant antifeedant effect on C. formicarius, and the longer the feeding time, the higher the antifeedant rate. At 72 h, the antifeedant rates of 0.5%, 1.0%, 5.0%, 10.0 % and 20.0% tea saponin to C. formicarius were 63.01%, 67.54%, 97.14 %, 96.42% and 98.57%, respectively. The larval development duration of C. formicarius was shortened with the increase of tea saponin concentration, and the larval death occurred. The development duration of larvae under the influence of 1.0% tea saponin was the shortest, which was 4.01 d shorter than that of the control, and the mortality was the highest, which was 26.65%. [Conclusions] Tea saponin had neither olfactory avoidance effect nor olfactory attracting effect to C. formicarius, but had obvious feeding avoidance effect and strong antifeedant effect.
