Gene diagnosis and targeted breeding for blast-resistant Kongyu 131without changing regional adaptability显示文摘The fungus Magnaporthe oryzae threatens the rice production of Kongyu 131 (KY131),a leading japonica variety in Northeast China. In this study, two rice lines,KP1 and KP2-Hd1,were obtained by introgressing the blast resistance genes Pi1 and Pi2 into KY131,respectively.However,both lines headed later than KY131.RICE60K SNP array analysis showed that Hd1 closely linked to Pi2 was introgressed into KP2-Hd1,and the linkage drag of Hd1 was broken by recombination. On the other hand,no known flowering genes were introgressed into KP1.Gene diagnosis by resequencing six flowering genes showed that KP1 carried functional Hd16 and Ghd8 alleles.Due to its suppression role in heading under long-day conditions,Ghd8 was chosen as the target for gene editing to disrupt its function.Four sgRNAs targeting different sites within Ghd8 were utilized to induce large-deletion mutations, which were easy to detect via agarose gel electrophoresis. All the ghd8-mutated KP1 lines were resistant to rice blast disease and headed earlier than the control KP1,even than KY131,under natural long-day conditions, which ensures its growth in Northeast China. This study confirmed that a combination of gene diagnosis and targeted gene editing is a highly efficient way to quickly eliminate undesired traits in a breeding line. | Xiangchun Zhou Gonghao Jiang Longwei Yang Lei Qiu Ping He Chunxiao Nong Yunyue Wang Yuqing He Yongzhong Xing | 2018 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2018,45,10: | 7
Alkaline diagenesis and its genetic mechanism in the Triassic coal measure strata in the Western Sichuan Foreland Basin,China显示文摘The reservoir of the upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation(T3x) in the Western Sichuan Foreland Basin is a set of terrigenous clastic rocks in an environment of coal measure sediments.Diagenesis greatly controls the physical properties of the reservoir through different responses of minerals to acidic and alkaline diagenetic environment. The dissolution of unstable components such as feldspar, rock fragments, carbonate cement, and clay minerals is the major source of secondary pores under acidic diagenesis, while the dissolution of quartz increases the reservoir space in the fault-fold zone of Longmen Mountain and Leikoupo paleo-hills.The dissolution of quartz is a result of cross-formation flow of fluid in the Himalaya epoch and the invasion of alkaline formation water from the Triassic Leikoupo and Jialingjiang formations through fault and fracture systems. In the vertical succession, acidic dissolution occurs at a shallow depth of less than 2,180 m,and alkaline dissolution occurs at a greater depth of more than 2,280 m.The reservoir space is formed by the influence of both acidic and alkaline dissolution in the depth interval of 2,180-2,280 m. | Jiang Zaixing Qiu Longwei Chen Guiju | 2009 | Petroleum Science2009,6,4: | 5

QTL underlying iron and zinc toxicity tolerances at seedling stage revealed by two sets of reciprocal introgression populations of rice(Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Iron and zinc are two trace elements that are essential for rice. But they are toxic at higher concentrations, leading to severe rice yield losses especially in acid soils and inland valleys. In this study, two reciprocal introgression line(IL) populations sharing the same parents were used with high-density SNP bin markers to identify QTL tolerant to iron and zinc toxicities. The results indicated that the japonica variety 02,428 had stronger tolerance to iron and zinc toxicities than the indica variety Minghui 63. Nine and ten QTL contributing to iron and zinc toxicity tolerances, respectively, were identified in the two IL populations. The favorable alleles of most QTL came from 02,428. Among them, q FRRDW2, q ZRRDW3, and q FRSDW11 appeared to be independent of genetic background. The region C11S49–C11S60 on chromosome 11 harbored QTL affecting multiple iron and zinc toxicity tolerance-related traits, indicating partial genetic overlap between the two toxicity tolerances. Our results provide essential information and materials for developing excellent rice cultivars with iron and/or zinc tolerance by marker-assisted selection(MAS). | Huan Liu Aijaz Soomro Yajun Zhu Xianjin Qiu Kai Chen Tianqing Zheng Longwei Yang Danying Xing Jianlong Xu | 2016 | The Crop Journal2016,4,4: | 1

Reservoir Quality and Diagenesis of the Permian Lucaogou Formation Tight Carbonates in Jimsar Sag, Junggar Basin, West China显示文摘The Lower Permian Lucaogou Formation in the Jimsar sag, Junggar Basin is a typical tight-oil reservoir in China. For effective exploration and production, the formation of a high-quality reservoir must be thoroughly studied. In this work, the tight-oil reservoir was examined using a variety of methods, including core and thin-section observations, XRD, SEM, CL and fluid inclusion and isotope testing. The tight-oil reservoirs were primarily deposited in saline lake environments, which are dominated by variable admixture of dolomite, quartz, feldspar, tuff, calcite and pyrite. Nine main lithofacies were identified:(1) siliceous mudstone,(2) dolomitic siliceous mudstone,(3) dolomitic mudstone,(4) intraclast packstone/grainstone,(5) ooid grainstone,(6) bioclast grainstone,(7) dolomitic siltstone,(8) mixed siliclastic and intraclast grainstone and(9) brecciated dolomitic mudstone. The pore types are classified into four categories: primary intergranular, moldic, intercrystalline and fracture pores. The properties of tight-oil reservoirs are quite poor, with low porosity(ave. 7.85%) and permeability(ave. 0.110 mD) and a small pore-throat radius(ave. 0.086 μm). The tight-oil reservoirs are dominated by the aggradation of a repetitive meter-scale sedimentary facies succession that records distinct lacustrine expansions and contractions. These tight carbonates have also undergone significant diagenetic alterations, such as dolomitization, dissolution, neomorphism and fracture created intercrystalline and moldic pores, vug and fractures; chemical and mechanical compaction and carbonate cementation have decreased the reservoir quality. Variations in reservoir quality in the Jimusar sag are due to a combination of lithofacies type, high-frequency cyclic depositional architecture, dissolution intensity, dolomitization and tectonic related deformation. This integrated study has helped in understanding the reservoir heterogeneity and hydrocarbon potential of the Jimusar fine-grained rocks. | Yongqiang Yang Longwei Qiu Yingchang Cao Cheng Chen Dewen Lei Ming Wan | 2017 | Journal of Earth Science2017,28,6: | 1
A Comprehensive Porosity Prediction Model for the Upper Paleozoic Tight Sandstone Reservoir in the Daniudi Gas Field, Ordos Basin显示文摘This paper investigated the porosity controlling factors for tight sandstone reservoir in the Daniudi gas field, Ordos Basin based on an integrated petrographic, petrophysical and geostatistical analyses, and proposed a comprehensive prediction model for reservoir porosity. Compaction was found to be a key factor for causing reservoir densification. The degree of sandstone compaction appears to be affected by grain sizes and sorting. Under normal compaction conditions(e.g., cement content less than 6%, and with no dissolution), the variation in reservoir porosity with burial depth can be well correlated with grain compositions, grain sizes, and sorting. Based on qualitative examination of the controlling factors for reservoir porosities, geostatistics were used to quantify the effects of various geological parameters on reservoir porosities. A statistical model for comprehensive prediction of porosity was then established, on the assumption that the present reservoir porosity directly relates to both normal compaction and diagenesis. This model is easy to use, and has been validated with measured porosity data. The porosity controlling factors and the comprehensive porosity prediction can be used to quantify effects of the main controlling factors and their interaction on reservoir property evolution, and may provide a reference model for log interpretation. | Longwei Qiu Shengchao Yang Changsheng Qu Ningning Xu Qingsong Gao Xiangjin Zhang Xugang Liu Donghui Wang | 2017 | Journal of Earth Science2017,28,6: | 1
Origin and diagenetic evolution of dolomites in Paleogene Shahejie Formation lacustrine organic shale of Jiyang Depression,Bohai Bay Basin,East China显示文摘The origin of dolomite in Shahejie Formation shale of Jiyang Depression in eastern China were studied by means of petrologic identification, compositional analysis by X-ray diffraction, stable carbon and oxygen isotopic composition, and trace element and rare earth element analyses. The results show that the development of dolomite is limited in the lacustrine organic rich shale of Shahejie Formation in the study area. Three kinds of dolomite minerals can be identified: primary dolomite(D1), penecontemporaneous dolomite(D2), and ankerite(Ak). D1 has the structure of primary spherical dolomite, high magnesium and high calcium, with order degree of 0.3-0.5, and is characterized by the intracrystalline corrosion and coexistence of secondary enlargement along the outer edge. D2 has the characteristics of secondary enlargement, order degree of 0.5-0.7, high magnesium, high calcium and containing a little iron and manganese elements. Ak is characterized by high order degree of 0.7-0.9, rhombic crystal, high magnesium, high calcium and high iron. The micritic calcite belongs to primary origin on the basis of the carbon and oxygen isotopic compositions and the fractionation characteristics of rare earth elements. According to the oxygen isotopic fractionation equation between paragenetic dolomite and calcite, it is calculated that the formation temperature of dolomite in the shale is between 36.76-45.83 ℃, belonging to lacustrine low-temperature dolomite. Based on the maturation and growth mechanism of primary and penecontemporaneous dolomite crystals, a dolomite diagenetic sequence and the dolomitization process are proposed, which is corresponding to the diagenetic environment of Shahejie Formation shale in the study area. | TENG Jianbin QIU Longwei ZHANG Shoupeng MA Cunfei | 2022 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,6: | 1

Quantitative Architectural Anatomy of the Meandering Fluvial Deposits of the Neogene Upper Guantao Formation in Zhanhua Sag,Bohai Bay Basin,China显示文摘The residual oil in the fluvial reservoir of Gudong Oilfield is still widely developed even after decades of development. In order to explore the remaining oil in the subsurface fluvial reservoir,we need to have a better understanding on fluvial sandbody characteristics. This paper aims to demonstrate how to quantify anatomy on meandering fluvial architecture.Sedimentologic data from core descriptions of Guantao Formation in Gudong Oilfield were used to identify architectural elements. The upper Guantao Formation consists of ten lithofacies composing five different types of architectural elements.By integrating the available core, well logs, and seismic data, the fluvial sandbody distribution was analyzed. To characterize the fluvial channel geomorphology,we used seismic inversion to explore the stratigraphic correlation and stacking patterns of different channels, and the sandbody isopach map was obtained by the sandbody thickness in each layer. The architectural elements distribution in the plane was mapped by the sandbody isopach map and its profile characteristics.According to the investigation of meandering fluvial outcrops, subsurface meandering fluvial seismic geomorphology, and modern river morphology, the upstream-bar portions are always eroded because of the downstream channel migration.Statistics on the morphometric parameters(bar width/looplength,upstream deflection angle, downstream deflection angle, etc.)of modern meandering river(Ob River)were obtained from the Google Earth. It is found that the bar width/looplength and upstream deflection angle, upstream deflection angle and downstream deflection angle in modern meandering river have a good relationship, and we can have a quantitative architectural characterization on the point bar. This study quantified lithofacies thickness and proportion in different architectural elements of Guantao Formation, which ensures a high resolution anatomy on the small scale architecture.By using this method, the lithofacies proportion in each architectural element was computed, and through the statistics of architectural elements proportion in the Gudong Oilfield, the different lithofacies proportions in the block 6 can be computed. | Yupeng Qiao Longwei Qiu Jun Wang Fan Song Ziyi Song Abigail Kuttin | 2023 | Journal of Earth Science2023,34,6: | 0
A Discovery of ~3.1 Ga Basement in the Bohai Bay Basin显示文摘Objective The North China Craton(NCC)is one of the oldest continental fragments, which underwent multistage crust growth during the early Precambrian from>3.8 Ga to 1.8Ga.In previous studies, many zircon ages have been obtained from the exposed basement rocks. However,we know little about the hidden basement because of Phanerozoic to Cenozoic strata coverage. The drill holes provided a rare opportunity to obtain the basement rocks beneath the Bohai Bay Basin(BBB).In this study。 | MENG Fanchao CUI Yan CAO Yingchang QIU Longwei WEI Jiayi QU Zhijing LIU Jiaqi | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,4: | 0
Sedimentary Processes and Depositional Characteristics of Coarse-grained Subaqueous Fans along Steep Slopes in a Lacustrine Rift Basin:A Case Study from the Dongying Depression,Bohai Bay Basin,China显示文摘Coarse-grained subaqueous fans are vital oil and gas exploration targets in the Bohai Bay basin,China. The insufficient understanding of their sedimentary processes, depositional patterns, and controlling factors restricts efficient exploration and development.Coarse-grained subaqueous fans in the Yong′an area,Dongying Depression, are investigated in this study. These fans include nearshore subaqueous fans, and sublacustrine fans, and their sedimentary processes, depositional patterns and distribution characteristics are mainly controlled by tectonic activity and paleogeomorphology.Nearshore subaqueous fans developed near the boundary fault during the early–middle deposition stage due to strong tectonic activity and large topographic subsidence.Early sublacustrine fans developed at the front of the nearshore subaqueous fans in the area where the topography changed from gentle to steep along the source direction. While the topography was gentle, sublacustrine fans did not develop.During the late weak tectonic activity stage, late sublacustrine fans developed with multiple stages superimposed.Frequent fault activity and related earthquakes steepened the basin margin, and the boundary fault slopes were 25.9°–34°.During the early–middle deposition stage, hyperpycnal flows triggered by outburst floods developed.During the late deposition stage, with weak tectonic activity, seasonal floods triggered hyperpycnal flows, and hybrid event beds developed distally. | YANG Baoliang QIU Longwei YANG Yongqiang Kouassi Louis KRA DONG Daotao Danish KHAN | 2023 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,2: | 0
Depositional Environment and Lithofacies Analyses of Eocene Lacustrine Shale in the Bohai Bay Basin:Insights from Mineralogy and Elemental Geochemistry显示文摘The effect of various depositional parameters including paleoclimate, paleosalinity and provenance,on the depositional mechanism of lacustrine shale is very important in reconstructing the depositional environment. The classification of shale lithofacies and the interpretation of shale depositional environment are key features used in shale oil and gas exploration and development activity. The lower 3rd member of the Eocene Shahejie Formation(Es_(3)^(x)shale)was selected for this study,as one of the main prospective intervals for shale oil exploration and development in the intracratonic Bohai Bay Basin.Mineralogically,it is composed of quartz(avg.9.6%),calcite(avg.58.5%),dolomite(avg.7%),pyrite(avg.3.3%)and clay minerals(avg.20%).An advanced methodology(thin-section petrography, total organic carbon and total organic sulfur contents analysis,X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray fluorescence(XRF),field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM))was adopted to establish shale lithofacies and to interpret the depositional environment in the lacustrine basin.Six different types of lithofacies were recognized, based on mineral composition, total organic carbon(TOC)content and sedimentary structures.Various inorganic geochemical proxies(Rb/Sr,Ca/(Ca+Fe),Ti/Al,Al/Ca,Al/Ti,Zr/Rb)have been used to interpret and screen variations in depositional environmental parameters during the deposition of the Es_(3)^(x)shale.The experimental results indicate that the environment during the deposition of the Es_(3)^(x)shale was warm and humid with heightened salinities, moderate to limited detrital input, higher paleohydrodynamic settings and strong oxygen deficient(reducing)conditions.A comprehensive depositional model of the lacustrine shale was developed. The interpretations deduced from this research work are expected to not only expand the knowledge of shale lithofacies classification for lacustrine fine-grained rocks, but can also offer a theoretical foundation for lacustrine shale oil exploration and development. | Danish KHAN LIANG Chao QIU Longwei Kamran MIRZA WANG Yelei Muhammad KASHIF Saif Ur REHMAN WANG Yuzhe TENG Jianbin | 2023 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,2: | 0
