5Response spectra for nuclear structures on rock sites considering the near-fault directivity effect显示文摘Near-fault ground motions, potentially with large amplitude and typical velocity pulses, may signifi cantly impact the performance of a wide range of structures.The current study is aimed at evaluating the safety implications of the near-fault effect on nuclear power plant facilities designed according to the Chinese code.To this end, a set of near-fault ground motions at rock sites with typical forward-directivity effect is examined with special emphasis on several key parameters and response spectra.Spectral comparison of the selected records with the Chinese and other code design spectra was conducted.The bi-normalized response spectra in terms of different corner periods are utilized to derive nuclear design spectra.It is concluded that nuclear design spectra on rock sites derived from typical rupture directivity records are significantly influenced both by the earthquake magnitude and the rupture distance.The nuclear design spectra specified in the code needs to be adjusted to reflect the near-fault directivity effect of large earthquakes.Xu Longjun Yang Shengchao Xie Lili 2010Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2010,9,3:9
6Enhanced selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3 via porous micro-spherical aggregates of Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti mixed oxide nanoparticles显示文摘We rationally designed a high performance denitration(De-NOx) catalyst based on a micrometer-sized spherical Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti(CP-SD)catalyst for selective catalytic reduction(SCR). This was prepared by a co-precipitation and spray drying(CP-SD) method. The catalyst was systematically characterized, and its morphological structure and surface properties were identified. Compare with conventional Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti(CP) catalysts, the Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti(CP-SD) catalyst had superior surface-adsorbed oxygen leading to enhanced 'fast NH3-SCR' reaction. The asobtained Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti(CP-SD) catalyst offered excellent NO conversion and N2 selectivity of 100.0% and 84.8% at 250℃, respectively, with a gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) of 40,000 h-1. The porous micro-spherical structure provides a larger surface area and more active sites to adsorb and activate the reaction gases. In addition, the uniform distribution and strong interaction of manganese, iron, cerium, and titanium oxide species improved H2O and SO2 resistance. 7RNA-seq analysis of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis roots identified candidate genes for saponin synthesis显示文摘Paris polyphylla Smith var.yunnanensis(Franch.) Hand.-Mazz.is a rhizomatous,herbaceous,perennial plant that has been used for more than a thousand years in traditional Chinese medicine.It is facing extinction due to overharvesting.Steroids are the major therapeutic components in Paris roots,the commercial value of which increases with age.To date,no genomic data on the species have been available.In this study,transcriptome analysis of an 8-year-old root and a 4-year-old root provided insight into the metabolic pathways that generate the steroids.Using Illumina sequencing technology,we generated a high-quality sequence and demonstrated de novo assembly and annotation of genes in the absence of prior genome information.Approximately 87,577 unique sequences,with an average length of 614 bases,were obtained from the root cells.Using bioinformatics methods,we annotated approximately 65.51% of the unique sequences by conducting a similarity search with known genes in the National Center for Biotechnology Information's non-redundant database.The unique transcripts were functionally classified using the Gene Ontology hierarchy and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes database.Of 3082 genes that were identified as significantly differentially expressed between roots of different ages,1518(49.25%) were upregulated and 1564(50.75%) were downregulated in the older root.Metabolic pathway analysis predicted that 25 unigenes were responsible for the biosynthesis of the saponins steroids.These data represent a valuable resource for future genomic studies on this endangered species and will be valuable for efforts to genetically engineer P.polyphylla and facilitate saponin-rich plant development.Tao Liu Xiaoxian Li Shiqing Xie Ling Wang Shengchao Yang 2016Plant Diversity2016,38,3:4
8Metallogenetic model of Jiaodong-type gold deposits,eastern China显示文摘The genesis of giant gold provinces is an international scientific frontier,in which the source of a huge amount of gold and the drive for mineralization are key challenges.The mineralization intensity of the Jiaodong gold province in eastern China is a rare occasion in the world,because it owns gold reserves of~5500 tons within an area of less than 10,000 km^(2).The Jiaodong gold province formed in the superimposed domain of diverse tectonic regimes in an intracontinental setting.Paleoproterozoic regional peak metamorphism and Triassic continental collision are followed by the tectonic transition and gold mineralization at ca.120 Ma with time intervals of 1.9 billion years and about 100 million years,respectively.The Jiaodong gold deposits are different from orogenic and intrusion-related gold deposits in terms of the tectonic background,types of host rocks,and oreforming mechanism.These gold deposits show close spatial-temporal and genetic relationships to mafic igneous rocks,implying the derivation of ore-forming fluids from the metasomatic mantle domains.Mafic dykes in Jiaodong have negativeε_(Hf)(t)values of-29.9 to-9.1,Os content of 0.002-0.16 ppb,heavyδ^(18)O up to 8.23‰,and high initial^(187)Os/^(188)Os ratios of 0.1352-0.8858.These indicate that the lithospheric mantle was metasomatized by ancient crust-derived components.The lithospheric mantle in the western Jiaodong shows generally more enriched isotope features than that in the eastern part,which is explained to be an important reason for its huge gold resources.The mafic dykes show lighter Mg isotope characteristics(averageδ^(26)Mg of-0.33‰,n=50)and high Ca O content(overall greater than 6.5 wt%),indicating that the lithospheric mantle would also record the metasomatism by the carbonate rocks from the subducting oceanic slab.Under the background of the rollback of the subducting paleo-Pacific slab and the destruction of the North China Craton,partial melting of the lower crust would produce granitic magmas that led to the enrichment of gold in the residual crust.The syn-mineralization asthenosphere upwelling would promote the recycling of the lower crust and the partial melting of the metasomatic mantle domains.Basic magmas,produced by the partial melting,and the mantle itself would degas to form ore fluids.The ore fluids would further leach gold in the lower crust to increase its fertility.The auriferous fluids were transported to the middle to upper crust along the detachment and strike-slip faults.Water-rock interaction and fluid immiscibility,which occurred in and above the ductile-brittle transition zone to induce gold precipitation,formed the Jiaodong gold deposits.Given the unique geological features and genetic model of the Jiaodong gold deposits,they can be defined as“Jiaodong-type”gold deposits.Jun DENG Qingfei WANG Liang ZHANG Shengchao XUE Xuefei LIU Lin YANG Liqiang YANG Kunfeng QIU Yayun LIANG 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,10:2

10Overwhelming electrochemical oxygen reduction reaction of zinc-nitrogen-carbon from biomass resource chitosan via a facile carbon bath method显示文摘Developing high efficiency and low cost electrocatalysts is critical for the enhancement of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),which is the fundamental for the development and commercialization of renewable energy conversion technology.Herein,zinc-nitrogen-carbon(Zn-N-C)was prepared by using biomass resource chitosan via a facile carbon bath method.The obtained Zn-N-C delivered a high specific surface area(794.7 cm^2/g)together with pore volume(0.49 cm^3/g).During the electrochemical evaluation of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),Zn-N-C displayed high activity for ORR with an onset pote ntial E0=0.96 VRHE and a half wave potential E1/2=0.86 VRHE,which were more positive than those of the comme rcial 20 wt%Pt/C benchmark catalyst(E0=0.96 VRHE and E1/2=0.81 VRHE).In addition,the ZnN-C catalyst also had a better stability and methanol tolerance than those of the Pt/C catalyst.Libing Hu Feng Yu Fu Wang Shengchao Yang Banghua Peng Long Chen Gang Wang Juan Hou Bin Dai Zhi-Qun Tian 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,5:2
11Extracellular-superoxide dismutase DNA methylation promotes oxidative stress in homocysteine-induced atherosclerosis显示文摘In the present study,we investigate the effect of homocysteine(Hcy)on extracellular-superoxide dismutase(ECSOD)DNA methylation in the aorta of mice,and explore the underlying mechanism in macrophages,trying to identify the key targets of Hcy-induced EC-SOD methylation changes.ApoE--mice are fed different diets for 15 weeks,EC-SODand DNAmethyltransferase1(DNMT1)expression levels aredetected byRT-PCRandwestern blot analysis.EC-SOD methylation levels are assessed by ntMS-PCR.After EC-SOD overexpression or knockdown in macrophages,following the transfection of macrophages with pEGFP-N1-DNMT1,the methylation levels of ECSOD are detected.Our data show that the concentrations of Hcy and the area of atherogenic lesions are significantly increased in ApoE--mice fed with a high-methionine diet,and have a positive correlation with the levels of superoxide anions,which indicates that Hcy-activated superoxide anions enhance the development of atherogenic lesions.EC-SOD expression is suppressed by Hcy,and the content of superoxide anion is increased when EC-SOD is silenced by RNAi in macrophages,suggesting that EC-SOD plays a major part in oxidative stress induced by Hcy.Furthermore,the promoter activity of EC-SOD is increased following transfection with the-1/-110o fragment,and EC-SOD methylation level is significantly suppressed by Hcy,and more significantly decreased upon DNMT1 overexpression.In conclusion,Hcy may alter the DNA methylation status and DNMT1 acts as the essential enzyme in the methyl transfer process to disturb the status of EC-SOD DNA methylation,leading to decreased expression of Ec-sODandincreasedoxidativestressandatherosclerosis.Shengchao Ma Guanjun Lu Qing Zhang Ning Ding Yuzhen Jie Hui Zhang Lingbo Xu Lin Xie Xiaoling Yang Huiping Zhang Yideng Jiang 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,9:1
12Submergence induced changes of molecular species in membrane lipids in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘The composition of membrane lipids is sensitive to environmental stresses.Submergence is a type of stress often encountered by plants.However,how the molecular species of membrane lipids respond to submergence has not yet been characterised.In this study,we used a lipidomic approach to profile the molecular species of membrane lipids in whole plants of Arabidopsis thaliana that were completely submerged for three days.The plants survived one day of submergence,after which,we found that the total membrane lipids were only subtly decreased,showing significant decreases of monogalactosyldiacylglycerol(MGDG)and phosphatidylcholine(PC)and an increase of phosphatidic acid(PA);however,the basic lipid composition was retained.In contrast,three days of submergence caused plants to die,and the membranes deteriorated via the rapid loss of 96% of lipid content together with a 229% increase in PA.The turnover of molecular species from PG and MGDG to PA indicated that submergenceinduced lipid changes occurred through PA-mediated degradation.In addition,molecular species of extraplastidic PG degraded sooner than plastidic ones,lyso-phospholipids exhibited various patterns of change,and the double-bond index(DBI)remained unchanged until membrane deterioration.Our results revealed the unique changes of membrane lipids upon submergence and suggested that the major cause of the massive lipid degradation could be anoxia.Mulan Wang Yunmei Shen Faqing Tao Shengchao Yang Weiqi Li 2016Plant Diversity2016,38,3:1
13All-optical modulation of quantum states by nonlinear metasurface显示文摘Metasurfaces have proven themselves an exotic ability to harness light at nano-scale,being important not only for classical but also for quantum optics.Dynamic manipulation of the quantum states is at the heart of quantum information processing;however,such function has been rarely realized with metasurfaces so far.Here,we report an all-optical dynamic modulation of the photonic quantum states using the nonlinear metasurface.The metasurface consists of a metallic nanostructure combined with a photoisomerizable azo layer.By tuning the plasmonic resonance through optically switching the azo molecules between their binary isomeric states,we have realized dynamic control of transmission efficiencies of orthogonally polarized photons and also the phase delay between them,thereby an entangled state was efficiently controlled.As an illustration,a quantum state distillation has been demonstrated to recover a Bell state from a non-maximally entangled one to that with fidelities higher than 98%.Our work would enrich the functions of the metasurface in the quantum world,from static to dynamic modulation,making the quantum metasurface going practical.Di Zhang Yang Chen Shengchao Gong Wei Wu Wei Cai Mengxin Ren Xifeng Ren Shuang Zhang Guangcan Guo Jingjun Xu 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,3:1

17A Comprehensive Porosity Prediction Model for the Upper Paleozoic Tight Sandstone Reservoir in the Daniudi Gas Field, Ordos Basin显示文摘This paper investigated the porosity controlling factors for tight sandstone reservoir in the Daniudi gas field, Ordos Basin based on an integrated petrographic, petrophysical and geostatistical analyses, and proposed a comprehensive prediction model for reservoir porosity. Compaction was found to be a key factor for causing reservoir densification. The degree of sandstone compaction appears to be affected by grain sizes and sorting. Under normal compaction conditions(e.g., cement content less than 6%, and with no dissolution), the variation in reservoir porosity with burial depth can be well correlated with grain compositions, grain sizes, and sorting. Based on qualitative examination of the controlling factors for reservoir porosities, geostatistics were used to quantify the effects of various geological parameters on reservoir porosities. A statistical model for comprehensive prediction of porosity was then established, on the assumption that the present reservoir porosity directly relates to both normal compaction and diagenesis. This model is easy to use, and has been validated with measured porosity data. 18Analysis of changes in the Panax notoginseng glycerolipidome in response to long-term chilling and heat显示文摘Long-term moderately high or low temperatures can damage economically important plants.In the present study,we treated Panax notoginseng,an important traditional Chinese medicine,with temperatures of 10,20,and 30℃for 30 days.We then investigated P.notoginseng glycerolipidome responses to these moderate temperature stresses using an ESI/MS-MS-based lipidomic approach.Both long-term chilling(LTC,10℃)and long-term heat(LTH,30℃)decreased photo pigment levels and photosynthetic rate.LTH-induced degradation of photo pigments and glycerolipids may further cause the decline of photosynthesis and thereafter the senescence of leaves.LTC-induced photosynthesis decline is attributed to the degradation of photo synthetic pigments rather than the degradation of chloroplastidic lipids.P.notoginseng has an especially high level of lysophosphatidylglycerol,which may indicate that either P.notoginseng phospholipase A acts in a special manner on phosphatidylglycerol(PG),or that phospholipase B acts.The ratio of sulfoquinovosyldiacylglycerol(SQDG)to PG increased significantly after LTC treatment,which may indicate that SQDG partially substitutes for PG.After LTC treatment,the increase in the degree of unsaturation of plastidic lipids was less than that of extraplastidic lipids,and the increase in the unsaturation of PG was the largest among the ten lipid classes tested.These results indicate that increasing the level of unsaturated PG may play a special role in maintaining the function and stability of P.notoginseng photosystems after LTC treatment.Tao Liu Jia Chen Furong Xu Xiahong He Shengchao Yang Youyong Zhu Weiqi Li Guowei Zheng 2020Plant Diversity2020,42,2:1
19LncRNA FPASL suppresses fibroblast proliferation through its DNA methylation via DNMT3b in hypertrophic scar显示文摘Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)are increasingly being implicated as key regulators of cell proliferation,apoptosis,and differentiation.However,the molecular mechanisms of specific lncRNAs in the context of hypertrophic scar remain largely unclear.Here,we find that the lncRNA FPASL(fibroblast proliferation-associated LncRNA)is downregulated in HS,and FPASL reduces fibroblast proliferation and colony formation and blocks cell cycle progression.Using GO annotation enrichment analysis along with AZC(a specific inhibitor of DNA methylation),we identify that DNA methylation is responsible for downregulating FPASL in hypertrophic scar.Subsequent studies demonstrate that high expression of DNMT3b inhibits FPASL expression in HS.Mechanistic study reveals a significant increase in fibroblast proliferation after transfection with LNA-FPASL,which is further inhibited by knockdown of DNMT3b.Thus,our study reveals that DNMT3b mediates hypermethylation of the lncRNA FPASL promoter and the downregulation of lncRNA FPASL promotes fibroblast proliferation in hypertrophic scar.Kai Wu Fang Ma Jiangyong Shen Hui Zhang Yu Wan Xi He Anning Yang Jiantuan Xiong Yun jiao Zhigang Bai Shengchao Ma Yideng Jiang Huiping Zhang Yinju Hao 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,12:0
20The stochastic semantics and verification for periodic control systems显示文摘Periodic control systems(PCS) are widely used in the embedded industry like aerospace and automotive.Such systems usually run periodic tasks and respond to the external signals.Based on our previous work on Mode diagram modeling(MDM) notations for specifying the periodic control system,we present the stochastic semantics for MDM in this paper.The stochastic semantics of MDM is based on the Markov chain.The semantics proposed here provides the basis for the satisfaction of formulae of the interval temporal logic(ITL) based specification language that is aimed to specify the properties of PCS.To verify whether the system satisfies the ITL-based properties,we apply the statistical model checking technique to efficiently estimate the probability of the system satisfying the given property with a desired level of confidence.The empirical experiments show that our approach is both effective and efficient.YANG MengFei WANG Zheng PU GeGuang Qin ShengChao GU Bin HE JiFeng 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,12:0
