| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 2 | 粉防己碱抑制前列腺癌细胞迁移和侵袭并通过诱导凋亡抑制细胞增殖显示文摘粉防己碱作为一种传统的中药,在多种肿瘤细胞中呈现显著的抗肿瘤活性。然而,粉防己碱在前列腺癌细胞中的作用却知之甚少,且其作用于前列腺癌的具体机制也尚未有人阐述。为了探究粉防己碱对前列腺癌DU145和PC-3两种细胞系生长抑制、凋亡诱导、迁移和侵袭抑制等方面的作用,通过MTT实验和克隆形成实验检测其对前列腺癌细胞的生长抑制能力,采用流式细胞仪检测其对前列腺癌细胞的凋亡诱导作用。后通过Western blotting实验检测粉防己碱处理后两种前列腺癌细胞系中PARP、Caspase-3、Akt、p-Akt、Bcl-2、Bax等蛋白的表达情况。而细胞划痕实验和transwell侵袭实验则分别用来检测粉防己碱对前列腺癌细胞的迁移和侵袭能力。结果显示,粉防己碱可剂量依赖性和时间依赖性地抑制前列腺癌细胞系DU145和PC-3的生长;且经粉防己碱处理后,两种前列腺癌细胞系的细胞克隆数明显受到抑制。且粉防己碱可抑制两种前列腺癌细胞系的侵袭,并显著抑制其迁移能力。由此可知,粉防己碱对前列腺癌细胞的增殖、迁移和侵袭有显著抑制作用。另外,粉防己碱可剂量依赖性地诱导前列腺癌细胞的凋亡,且此过程是通过caspase级联反应的激活和PI3K-Akt信号通路的抑制而得以实现的。上述结果提示粉防己碱在临床中可作为前列腺癌治疗的一种潜在治疗药物。 | Wei Liu Bo KOU Zhen-Kun Ma Xiao-Shuang Tang Chuan Lv Min Ye Jia-Qi Chen Lei Li Xin-Yang Wang Da-Lin He | 2015 | Asian Journal of Andrology2015,17,5: | 18 |
| 3 | Seven-day triple therapy is a better choice for Helicobacter pylori eradication in regions with low antibiotic resistance显示文摘AIM: To investigate whether 7-d triple therapies are still valid in populations with low levels of resistance.METHODS: A total of 1106 Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori)-positive patients were divided into three groups,each of which received one type of 7-d triple therapy. Therapeutic outcomes of the patients were assessed by the 13C-urea breath test at 8 wk after treatment. The susceptibility of H. pylori to antibiotics was determined by an agar-dilution method. Data analysis was performed by χ2 tests.RESULTS: The eradication rates in groups A,B and C were 90.71%(332/366),90.46%(313/346) and 90.87%(189/208),respectively(P = 0.986). The resistance rates were 8.91% for clarithromycin,14.78% for levofloxacin and 0% for amoxicillin. The eradication rate was significantly different between clarithromycin-and levofloxacin-resistant patients(P < 0.05) in group A. Patients whose treatment failed in group A also had a higher clarithromycin resistance rate than did successive patients(P = 0.034). However,levofloxacin resistance had no obvious influence on the eradication rate. Furthermore,three main antibiotics(clarithromycin,levofloxacin and amoxicillin) had lower DID(defined daily dose per 1000 inhabitants per day) in this city.CONCLUSION: Clarithromycin resistance is the main reason for the failure of 7-d triple therapy. In populations with low levels of resistance,a 7-d triple therapy is a viable choice. | 5 | Ultrasound hepatic/renal ratio and hepatic attenuation rate for quantifying liver fat content显示文摘AIM:To establish and validate a simple quantitative assessment method for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)based on a combination of the ultrasound hepatic/renal ratio and hepatic attenuation rate.METHODS:A total of 170 subjects were enrolled in this study.All subjects were examined by ultrasound and 1H-magnetic resonance spectroscopy(1H-MRS)on the same day.The ultrasound hepatic/renal echointensity ratio and ultrasound hepatic echo-intensity attenuation rate were obtained from ordinary ultrasound images using the MATLAB program.RESULTS:Correlation analysis revealed that the ultrasound hepatic/renal ratio and hepatic echo-intensity attenuation rate were significantly correlated with 1HMRS liver fat content(ultrasound hepatic/renal ratio:r=0.952,P=0.000;hepatic echo-intensity attenuation r=0.850,P=0.000).The equation for predictingliver fat content by ultrasound(quantitative ultrasound model)is:liver fat content(%)=61.519×ultrasound hepatic/renal ratio+167.701×hepatic echo-intensity attenuation rate-26.736.Spearman correlation analysis revealed that the liver fat content ratio of the quantitative ultrasound model was positively correlated with serum alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,and triglyceride,but negatively correlated with high density lipoprotein cholesterol.Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis revealed that the optimal point for diagnosing fatty liver was 9.15%in the quantitative ultrasound model.Furthermore,in the quantitative ultrasound model,fatty liver diagnostic sensitivity and specificity were 94.7%and 100.0%,respectively,showing that the quantitative ultrasound model was better than conventional ultrasound methods or the combined ultrasound hepatic/renal ratio and hepatic echo-intensity attenuation rate.If the 1H-MRS liver fat content had a value<15%,the sensitivity and specificity of the ultrasound quantitative model would be 81.4%and 100%,which still shows that using the model is better than the other methods.CONCLUSION:The quantitative ultrasound model is a simple,low-cost,and sensitive tool that can accurately assess hepatic fat content in clinical practice.It provides an easy and effective parameter for the early diagnosis of mild hepatic steatosis and evaluation of the efficacy of NAFLD treatment. | Bo Zhang Fang Ding Tian Chen Liang-Hua Xia Juan Qian Guo-Yi Lv | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,47: | 9 |

| 7 | Medium-term efficacy of arthroscopic debridement vs conservative treatment for knee osteoarthritis of Kellgren-Lawrence grades I-III显示文摘BACKGROUND Arthroscopic debridement is a mature treatment for knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Due to the differences in the research subjects,methods,and efficacy evaluation indexes,there are great differences in the surgical efficacy reported in the literature.AIM To compare the medium-term efficacy of arthroscopic debridement and conservative treatment for KOA of Kellgren-Lawrence grades I-III.METHODS Patients with KOA of Kellgren-Lawrence grades I-III who were admitted to the orthopedic clinic of our hospital from July 2018 to December 2018 and agreed to undergo arthroscopic surgery were included in an arthroscopic debridement group,and those who refused surgical treatment were included in a conservative treatment group.Gender,age,body mass index(BMI),side of KOA,American hospital for special surgery knee score(HSS score)before treatment,visual analogue scale(VAS)score during walking and rest before treatment,conservative treatment content,and surgical procedure were recorded.Outpatient visits were conducted at the 1st,3rd,6th,12th,and 24th mo after treatment in the two groups.The changes of HSS score and VAS score in each group before and after treatment were statistically analyzed,and the differences of HSS score and VAS score in different treatment stages between the two groups were also compared.RESULTS In the conservative treatment group,there were 80 patients with complete followup data,including 20 males and 60 females,aged 58.75±14.66 years old.And in the knee arthroscopic debridement group,there were 98 patients with complete follow-up data,including 24 males and 74 females,aged 59.27±14.48 years old.There was no statistically significant difference in the general data(gender,age,BMI,side of KOA,Kellgren-Lawrence grade distribution,HSS score,and VAS score)between the two groups before treatment.The HSS scores of the conservative treatment group at the 1st,3rd,6th,12th,and 24th mo after treatment were significantly higher than that before treatment(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in HSS score of the conservative treatment group among the 1st,3rd,6th,12th,and 24th mo(P>0.05).The HSS score of the knee arthroscopic debridement group at the 1st mo after surgery was significantly higher than that before surgery(P<0.05).HSS scores of the knee arthroscopic debridement group at the 3rd,6th,12th,and 24th mo were significantly higher than those before surgery and at the 1st mo after surgery(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in HSS scores at the 3rd,6th,12th,and 24th mo after surgery(P>0.05).HSS scores at the 3rd,6th,12th,and 24th mo were significantly higher in the arthroscopic debridement group than in the conservative treatment group(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in HSS scores between the two groups before treatment and at the 1st mo of follow-up(P>0.05).VAS scores during walking and rest were significantly decreased in both groups,and the VAS score during rest was significantly lower in the arthroscopic debridement group than in the conservative treatment group,but there was no significant difference in the VAS score during walking between the two groups after treatment.CONCLUSION Compared with conservative treatment,arthroscopic debridement can significantly improve the knee resting pain and knee functional status of patients with KOA of Kellgren-Lawrence grades I-III within 2 years after treatment. | Bo Lv Kai Huang Jun Chen Zhuo-Yi Wu Hua Wang | 2021 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2021,9,19: | 9 |
| 8 | Antioxidant Effect of Human Selenium-containing Single-chain Fv in Rat Cardiac Myocytes显示文摘Reactive oxygen species(ROS) plays a key role in human heart diseases. Glutathione peroxidase(GPX) functions as an antioxidant as it catalyzes the reduction of hydroperoxide. In order to investigate the antioxidant effect of human selenium-containing single-chain Fv(Se-scFv-B3), a new mimic of GPX, a model system of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)-induced rat cardiac myocyte damage was established. The cardiac myocyte damage was characterized in terms of cell viability, lipid peroxidation, cell membrane integrity, and intracellular H2O2 level. The Se-scFv-B3 significantly reduced H2O2-induced cell damage as shown by the increase of cell viability, the decline of malondialdehyde(MDA) production, lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) release, and intracellular H2O2 level. | 13 | Characteristics of fecal microbial communities in patients with non-anastomotic biliary strictures after liver transplantation显示文摘AIM To explore the possible relationship between fecal microbial communities and non-anastomotic stricture(NAS) after liver transplantation(LT).METHODS A total of 30 subjects including 10 patients with NAS, 10 patients with no complications after LT, and 10 nonLT healthy individuals were enrolled. Fecal microbial communities were assessed by the 16 S r RNA gene sequencing technology.RESULTS Different from the uncomplicated and healthy groups, unbalanced fecal bacterium ratio existed in patients with NAS after LT. The results showed that NAS patients were associated with a decrease of Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes and an increase of Proteobacteria at the phylum level, with the proportion-ratio imbalance between potential pathogenic families including Enterococcaceae, Streptococcaceae, Enterobacteriaceae, Pseudomonadaceae and dominant families including Bacteroidaceae. | 14 | Value of pretransplant albumin-bilirubin score in predicting outcomes after liver transplantation显示文摘BACKGROUND Due to the significant shortage of organs and the increasing number of candidates on the transplant waiting list, there is an urgent need to identify patients who are most likely to benefit from liver transplantation. The albuminbilirubin(ALBI) grading system was recently developed to identify patients at risk for adverse outcomes after hepatectomy. However, the value of the pretransplant ALBI score in predicting outcomes after liver transplantation has not been assessed.AIM To retrospectively investigate the value of the pretransplant ALBI score in predicting outcomes after liver transplantation.METHODS The clinical data of 272 consecutive adult patients who received donation after cardiac death and underwent liver transplantation at our centre from March 2012 to March 2017 were analysed in the cohort study. After the exclusion of patients who met any of the exclusion criteria, 258 patients remained. The performance of the ALBI score in predicting overall survival and postoperative complications after liver transplantation was evaluated. The optimal cut-off value of preoperative ALBI was calculated according to long-term survival status. The outcomes after liver transplantation, including postoperative complications and survival analysis, were measured.RESULTS The remaining 258 consecutive patients were included in the analysis. The median follow-up time was 17.30(interquartile range: 8.90-28.98) mo. Death occurred in 35 patients during follow-up. The overall survival rate was 81.0%.The preoperative ALBI score had a significant positive correlation with the overall survival rate after liver transplantation. The calculated cut-off for ALBI scores to predict postoperative survival was-1.48. Patients with an ALBI score >-1.48 had a significantly lower survival rate than those with an ALBI score ≤-1.48(73.7% vs 87.6%, P < 0.05), and there were no statistically significant differences in survival rates between patients with a model for end stage liver disease score ≥ 10 and < 10 and different Child-Pugh grades. In terms of the specific complications,a high ALBI score was associated with an increased incidence of biliary complications, intraabdominal bleeding, septicaemia, and acute kidney injury after liver transplantation(P < 0.05 for all).CONCLUSION The ALBI score predicts overall survival and postoperative complications after liver transplantation. | 15 | Secondary organic aerosols in Jinan, an urban site in North China: Significant anthropogenic contributions to heavy pollution显示文摘Secondary organic aerosols(SOAs) are an important component of particulates, but whether biogenic SOAs(BSOAs) or anthropogenic SOAs(ASOAs) are the dominant contributors to haze pollution remains poorly characterized. In this study, particulate samples were collected from September 2014 to August 2015 at an urban site in Jinan, which is the capital of Shandong Province and a typical city in the North China Plain. The PM2.5 samples were analyzed for BSOA(isoprene(SOAI) and monoterpenes(SOAM)) and ASOA(aromatic(SOAA)) tracers. The concentrations of the SOAAtracer(1.1 ± 1.0 ng/m3) were lowest, and those of SOAItracers(41.8 ± 86.2 ng/m3) were highest, with the concentrations of SOAMtracers(19.4 ± 9.9 ng/m3) being intermediate. The SOAItracers were more abundant in the summer and less abundant in the winter. Both SOAIand SOAMincreased with increasing ozone level but decreased with increasing NOx level. Correlation analysis revealed a good correlation between 2,3-dihydroxy-4-oxopentanoic acid and levoglucosan levels in three seasons. These results suggested that biomass burning activities occurring in the NCP can enhance the emissions of aromatics and should be controlled, especially in the autumn and winter. SOA tracers were classified according to pollution degree, and the results showed that as pollution increases, the contributions of SOAAincrease. | 17 | Source apportionment of PM_(2.5)and visibility in Jinan,China显示文摘Atmospheric extinction is impacted by the chemical composition of particles.To better understand the chemical composition of PM_(2.5)(particles with diameters of less than 2.5μm)and its relationship with extinction,one-month sampling campaigns were carried out in four different seasons from 2013 to 2014 in Jinan,China.The seasonal average concentrations of PM_(2.5)were 120.9(autumn),156.6(winter),102.5(spring),and 111.8μg/m^(3)(summer).The reconstructed PM_(2.5)chemical composition showed that sulfate,nitrate,chlorine salt,organic matter(OM),mineral dust,elemental carbon(EC)and others accounted for 25%,14%,2%,24%,22%,3%and 10%,respectively.The relationship between the chemical composition of PM_(2.5)and visibility was reconstructed by the IMPROVE method,and ammonium sulfate,ammonium nitrate,OM and EC dominated the visibility.Seven main sources were resolved for PM_(2.5),including secondary particles,coal combustion,biomass burning,industry,motor vehicle exhaust,soil dust and cooking,which accounted for 37%,21%,13%,13%,12%,3%and 1%,respectively.The contributions of different sources to visibility were similar to those to PM_(2.5).With increasing severity of air pollution,the contributions of secondary particles and coal combustion increased,while the contribution of motor vehicle exhaust decreased.The results showed that coal combustion and biomass burning were still the main sources of air pollution in Jinan. | Mengtian Cheng Guiqian Tang Bo Lv Xingru Li Xinrui Wu Yiming Wang Yuesi Wang | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4: | 5 |

How the balance between osteoblastogenesis and adipogenesis from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) is lost upon aging is still unclear. Here, we found that the RNA-binding protein Musashi2(Msi2) regulates BMSC lineage commitment. Msi2 is commonly enriched in stem cells and tumor cells. We found that its expression was downregulated during adipogenic differentiation and upregulated during osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs. Msi2 knockout mice exhibited decreased bone mass with substantial accumulation of marrow adipocytes, similar to aging-induced osteoporosis. Depletion of Msi2 in BMSCs led to increased adipocyte commitment. Transcriptional profiling analysis revealed that Msi2 deficiency led to increased PPARγ signaling.RNA-interacting protein immunoprecipitation assays demonstrated that Msi2 could inhibit the translation of the key adipogenic factor Cebpα, thereby inhibiting PPAR signaling. Furthermore, the expression of Msi2 decreased significantly during the aging process of mice, indicating that decreased Msi2 function during aging contributes to abnormal accumulation of adipocytes in bone marrow and osteoporosis.
