1First dark matter search results from the PandaX-Ⅰ experiment显示文摘We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground Laboratory.In the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was found.This result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental results.The minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level.XIAO MengJiao XIAO Xiang ZHAO Li CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. 3Superior anti-corrosion and self-healing bi-functional polymer composite coatings with polydopamine modified mesoporous silica/graphene oxide显示文摘In this article,graphene oxide(GO)and benzotriazole-loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticles(BTA/MSNs)are combined on micro scale through the in situ polymerization of polydopamine(PDA),preparing a selfhealing bi-functional GO(fGO)used as nano-fillers for anti-corrosion enhancement of waterborne epoxy(WEP)coatings.Scanning electronic microscopy(SEM)images show that the BTA/MSNs are uniformly distributed on the surface of high aspect ratio GO nanosheets to endow GO nanocontainer characteristics.UV-vis profiles demonstrate that fGO has p H-controlled release function.Modulus at lowest frequency is generally used for comparing the corrosion resistance of organic coatings.Modulus at lowest frequency(1.42×10^(5)Ωcm^(2))after 30 days immersion in 3.5 wt.%Na Cl solution revealed 2 orders of magnitude higher that of blank WEP(1.17×10^(7)Ωcm^(2)).With artificial cracks on its coatings,fGO/WEP had no obvious rust compared with blank WEP after 240 h of immersion.We anticipate that self-healing and physical barrier bi-functional nanocontainers improve the traditional anticorrosion coating efficiency with better,longer-lasting performance for shipping,oil drilling or bridge maintenance.Yanqi Ma Haowei Huang Hongda Zhou Michael Graham James Smith Xinxin Sheng Ying Chen Li Zhang Xinya Zhang Elena Shchukina Dmitry Shchukin 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,36:4
4Interactions between cadmium and multiple precipitates in an Al-Li-Cu alloy:Improving aging kinetics and precipitation hardening显示文摘This work demonstrates significant improvements in both the aging kinetics and precipitation hardening of an Al-Li-Cu alloy with the minor addition of Cd(0.06 at.%).The precipitation hardening effect of T1 precipitates in casting Al-Li-Cu alloys has long been ignored since it is difficult to achieve a high number density of fine precipitates without a large number of dislocations.A detailed transmission electron microscopy investigation shows that the Cd addition has changed the distribution of T1 precipitates from the conventional uneven distribution near dislocations or grain boundaries to a more homogeneous manner.Most of the Cd-rich nanoparticles were observed at the broad face and/or terminal of the T1 platelets.It is highly likely that these nanoparticles act as heterogeneous nucleation sites,which consequently leads to a higher number density of T1 precipitates.Moreover,Cd atoms were preferentially segregated withinδprecipitates,which can be attributed to the strong bonding between Li and Cd.The interactions between Cd and the T1(Al2CuLi)andδ′(Al3Li)precipitates in Al-Li-Cu alloy are first reported.The present study may propose a new mechanism to effectively improve precipitation kinetics and therefore the age-hardening effect of Al-Li-Cu alloys.Liang Wu Yugang Li Xianfeng Li Naiheng Ma Haowei Wang 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,11:1
5Electrodeposition of aluminum on aluminum surface from molten salt显示文摘The surface morphology, microstructure and composition of the aluminum coating of the electrodeposition plates in AlCl 3 -NaCl-KCl molten salt with a mass ratio of 8:1:1 were investigated by SEM and EDS. The binding force was measured by splat-cooling method and bending method. The results indicate that the coatings with average thicknesses of 12 and 9 μm for both plates treated by simple grinding and phosphating are compacted, continuous and well adhered respectively. Tetramethylammonium chloride (TMAC) can effectively prevent the growth of dendritic crystal, and the anode activation may improve the adhesion of the coating. 7Acetylation of ezrin regulates membrane–cytoskeleton interaction underlying CCL18-elicited cell migration显示文摘Ezrin,a membrane–cytoskeleton linker protein,plays an essential role in cell polarity establishment,cell migration,and division.Recent studies show that ezrin phosphorylation regulates breast cancer metastasis by promoting cancer cell survivor and promotes intrahepatic metastasis via cell migration.However,it was less characterized whether there are additional post-translational modifications and/or post-translational crosstalks on ezrin underlying context-dependent breast cancer cell migration and invasion.Here we show that ezrin is acetylated by p300/CBP-associated factor(PCAF)in breast cancer cells in response to CCL18 stimulation.Ezrin physically interacts with PCAF and is a cognate substrate of PCAF.The acetylation site of ezrin was mapped by mass spectrometric analyses,and dynamic acetylation of ezrin is essential for CCL18-induced breast cancer cell migration and invasion.Mechanistically,the acetylation reduced the lipid-binding activity of ezrin to ensure a robust and dynamic cycling between the plasma membrane and cytosol in response to CCL18 stimulation.Biochemical analyses show that ezrin acetylation prevents the phosphorylation of Thr567.Using atomic force microscopic measurements,our study revealed that acetylation of ezrin induced its unfolding into a dominant structure,which prevents ezrin phosphorylation at Thr567.Thus,these results present a previously undefined mechanism by which CCL18-elicited crosstalks between the acetylation and phosphorylation on ezrin control breast cancer cell migration and invasion.This suggests that targeting PCAF signaling could be a potential therapeutic strategy for combating hyperactive ezrin-driven cancer progression.Xiaoyu Song Wanjuan Wang Haowei Wang Xiao Yuan Fengrui Yang Lingli Zhao McKay Mullen Shihao Du Najdat Zohbi Saravanakumar Muthusamy Yalei Cao Jiying Jiang Peng Xia Ping He Mingrui Ding Nerimah Emmett Mingming Ma Quan Wu Hadiyah-Nicole Green Xia Ding Dongmei Wang Fengsong Wang Xing Liu 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,6:1

11Hybrid Protocol for Wireless-Powered Untrusted Relay Networks with Imperfect Channel Reciprocity显示文摘This work investigates the security issue of the energy-constrained untrusted relay network with imperfect channel reciprocity,where the relay without the built-in power supply can only scavenge energy from radio-frequency signals radiated by the source and destination.A hybrid power-splitting(PS)-and time-switching(TS)-based relaying(HPTR)protocol is presented to improve the degraded secrecy performance due to the incomplete self-interference cancellation at the destination.To evaluate the secrecy throughput(ST)of the studied system,the analytical expression of the secrecy outage probability under the delay-limited transmission mode and the closed-form lower bound of the ergodic secrecy capacity under delay-tolerant transmission mode are derived.Both linear and nonlinear models for the energy harvester at the relay are compared.The optimal PS and TS ratios are evaluated numerically.The theoretical derivations are validated by numerical results,revealing that the residual jamming has a negative effect on the secrecy performance of untrusted relay networks,which can be alleviated by the HPTR protocol.Besides,we compare the ST performance of the HPTR protocol with that of the PS and TS relaying schemes,and the results show that the HPTR protocol outperforms both PS and TS relaying protocols in terms of the ST.Rui Ma Haowei Wu Liubin Wang Jinglan Ou Lian Yan 2021China Communications2021,18,9:0

13Design of Fine Life Cycle Prediction System for Failure of Medical Equipment显示文摘The inquiry process of traditional medical equipment maintenance management is complex,which has a negative impact on the efficiency and accuracy of medical equipment maintenance management and results in a significant amount of wasted time and resources.To properly predict the failure of medical equipment,a method for failure life cycle prediction of medical equipment was developed.The system is divided into four modules:the whole life cycle management module constructs the life cycle data set of medical devices from the three parts of the management in the early stage,the middle stage,and the later stage;the status detection module monitors the main operation data of the medical device components through the normal value of the relevant sensitive data in the whole life cycle management module;and the main function of the fault diagnosis module is based on the normal value of the relevant sensitive data in the whole life cycle management module.The inference machine diagnoses the operation data of the equipment;the fault prediction module constructs a fine prediction system based on the least square support vector machine algorithm and uses the AFS-ABC algorithm to optimize the model to obtain the optimal model with the regularized parameters and width parameters;the optimal model is then used to predict the failure of medical equipment.Comparative experiments are designed to determine whether or not the design system is effective.The results demonstrate that the suggested system accurately predicts the breakdown of ECG diagnostic equipment and incubators and has a high level of support and dependability.The design system has the minimum prediction error and the quickest program execution time compared to the comparison system.Hence,the design system is able to accurately predict the numerous causes and types of medical device failure.Ma Haowei Cheng Xu Jing Yang 2023Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Technology2023,3,2:0
14Microbial diversity in lake sediments detected by PCR-DGGE显示文摘In this study,PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE)was applied to analyze the microbial communities in lake sediments from Lake Xuanwu,Lake Mochou in Nanjing and Lake Taihu in Wuxi.Sediment samples from seven locations in three lakes were collected and their genomic DNAs were extracted.The DNA yields of the sediments of Lake Xuanwu and Lake Mochou were high(10 mg/g),while that of sediments in Lake Taihu was relatively low.After DNA purification,the 16S rDNA genes(V3 to V5 region)were amplified and the amplified DNA fragments were separated by parallel DGGE.The DGGE profiles showed that there were five common bands in all the lake sediment samples indicating that there were similarities among the populations of microorganisms in all the lake sediments.The DGGE profiles of Lake Xuanwu and Lake Mochou were similar and about 20 types of micro-organisms were identified in the sediment samples of both lakes.These results suggest that the sediment samples of these two city lakes(Xuanwu,Mochou)have similar microbial communities.However,the DGGE profiles of sediment samples in Lake Taihu were significantly different from these two lakes.Furthermore,the DGGE profiles of sediment samples in different locations in Lake Taihu were also different,suggesting that the microbial communities in Lake Taihu are more diversified than those in Lake Xuanwu and Lake Mochou.The differences in microbial diversity may be caused by the different environmental conditions,such as redox potential,pH,and the concentrations of organic matters.Seven major bands of 16S rDNA genes fragments from the DGGE profiles of sediment samples were further reamplified and sequenced.The results of sequencing analysis indicate that five sequences shared 99%-100%homology with known sequences(Bacillus and Brevibacillus,uncultured bacteria),while the other two sequences shared 93%-96%homology with known sequences(Acinetobacter,and Bacillus).The study shows that the PCR-DGGE technique combined with sequence analysis is a feasible and efficient method for the determination of microbial communities in sediment samples.Xinqing ZHAO Liuyan YANG Can CHEN Lin XIAO Lijuan JIANG Zhe MA Haowei ZHU Zhenyang YU Daqiang YIN 2008Frontiers in Biology2008,3,3:0
15Genetic structure of Aedes albopictus(Diptera:Culicidae)populations in China and relationship with the knockdown resistance mutations显示文摘Background Mosquito control is needed to prevent dengue fever, which is mainly spread byAedes albopictus in China. Application of insecticides is one of the main mosquito control methods;however, this approach can fail due to the knockdown resistance (kdr) gene mutation that causes decreased sensitivity to insecticides inAe. albopictus. Thekdr mutation patterns among different regions in China differ significantly. However, the underlying mechanism and factors that influencekdr mutation remain unclear. To explore the potential influence of genetic background on the development of insecticide resistance inAe. albopictus, we analyzed the genetic structure ofAe. albopictus populations in China and its correlation with majorkdr mutations.Methods We collectedAe. albopictus from 17 sites in 11 provinces (municipalities) across China from 2016 to 2021 and extracted the genomic DNA from individual adult mosquitoes. We selected eight microsatellite loci for genotyping, and based on microsatellite scores, we estimated intraspecific genetic diversity, population structure, and effective population size. The association between the intrapopulation genetic variation and F1534 mutation rate was evaluated by the Pearson correlation coefficient.Results Based on variation analysis of the microsatellite loci of 453 mosquitoes representing 17 populations throughout China, more than 90% of the variation occurred within individuals, whereas only about 9% of the variation occurred among populations, indicating that field populations ofAe. albopictus are highly polymorphic. The northern populations tended to belong to gene pool I (BJFT 60.4%, SXXA 58.4%, SDJN 56.1%, SXYC 46.8%), the eastern populations tended to belong to pool III (SH 49.5%, JZHZ 48.1%), and the southern populations tended to belong to three different gene pools. Moreover, we observed that the greater the fixation index (FST), the lower the wild-type frequency of F1534 ofVSGC.Conclusions The degree of genetic differentiation amongAe. albopictus populations in China was low. These populations were divided into three gene pools, in which the northern and eastern pools are relatively homogeneous, while the southern gene pool is heterogeneous. 16Can Digital Transformation Definitely Improve Firms'Markups?显示文摘In this paper,digital transformation is included in the heterogeneity model of firms.Based on a general equilibrium analysis,we find that under the effect of diminishing marginal productivity,digital transformation does not always have a positive impact on firms'markups,but has an'inverted U-shaped'nonlinear influence,which first promotes and then inhibits markups.Firm innovation and firm productivity are the key micro-mechanisms for the above effects to play a role.Based on the analysis of typical facts and empirical data of listed companies,the measurement test yields the following results.First,digital transformation can significantly improve firms'markups when it is below a specific threshold value,but it will have a negative impact when it exceeds this value.That is,there is an'inverted U-shaped'nonlinear relationship between digital transformation and firms'markups.Second,the heterogeneity analysis shows that digital transformation has a greater effect on the markups of state-owned firms,export firms and technology-intensive firms than on the markups of other firms.Third,digital transformation has an impact on firms'markups through two key mechanisms:firm innovation ability and production eficiency.The quantitative empirical results confirm the correctness of the theoretical expectations.Therefore,firms need to grasp the strategic opportunities brought by the progress of digital technology and accelerate the process of promoting the digital transformation.Firms should make proper choices in the selection and arrangement of key areas,as well as avoid possible problems such as'too much'.In this way,we can better consolidate the micro foundation of China's high-quality economic development.Xiang Dai Haowei Ma Erzhen Zhang 2024China Finance and Economic Review2024,13,1:0
