1Lifetime prediction based on Gamma processes from accelerated degradation data显示文摘Accelerated degradation test is a useful approach to predict the product lifetime at the normal use stress level, especially for highly reliable products. Two kinds of the lifetime prediction based on Gamma processes were studied. One was to predict the lifetime of the population from accelerated degradation data, and the other was to predict the lifetime of an individual by taking the accelerated degradation data as prior information. For an extensive application, the Gamma process with a time transformation and random effects was considered. A novel contribution is that a deducing method for determining the relationships between the shape and scale parameters of Gamma processes and accelerated stresses was presented. When predicting the lifetime of an individual, Bayesian inference methods were adopted to improve the prediction accuracy, in which the conjugate prior distribution and the non-conjugate prior distribution of random parameters were studied. The conjugate prior distribution only considers the random effect of the scale parameter while the non-conjugate prior distribution considers the random effects of both the scale and shape parameter. 2First dark matter search results from the PandaX-Ⅰ experiment显示文摘We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground Laboratory.In the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was found.This result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental results.The minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level.XIAO MengJiao XIAO Xiang ZHAO Li CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. 5High-resolution, full-color quantum dot light-emitting diode display fabricated via photolithography approach显示文摘Displays play an extremely important role in modern information society,which creates a never-ending demand for the new and better products and technologies.The latest requirements for novel display technologies focus on high resolution and high color gamut.Among emerging technologies that include organic light-emitting diode(OL ED),micro light-emiting diode(micro-LED),quantum dot light-emitting diode(QLED),laser display,holographic display and others,QLED is promising owing to its intrinsic high color gamut and the possibility to achieve high resolution with photolithography approach.However,previously demonstrated photolthography techniques suffer from reduced device performance and color Impurities in subpixels from the process.In this study,we demonstrated a sacrificial layer assisted patterming(SLAP)approach,which can be applied in conjunction with photolithography to fabricate high-resolution,full-colo quantum dot(QD)patterns.In this approach,the negative photoresist(PR)and sacrificial layer(SL)were uilized to determine the pixels for QD deposition,while at the same time the SL helps protect the QD layer and keep it intact(named PR-SL approach).To prove this method's viability for QLED display manufacture,a 500-ppi,full-color passive matrix(PM)-QLED prototype was fabricated via this process.Results show that there were no color impurities in the subpixels,and the PM-QL ED has a high color gamut of 114%National Television Standards Committee(NTSC).To the best of our knowledge,this is the first ull-olor QLED prototype with such a high resolution.We anticipate that this innovative patteming technique will open a new horizon for future display technologies and may lead to a disruptive and innovative change in display industry.Wenhai Mei Zhenqi Zhang Aidi Zhang Dong Li Xiaoyuan Zhang Haowei Wang Zhuo Chen Yanzhao Li Xinguo Li Xiaoguang Xu 2020Nano Research2020,13,9:6
6Effects of in-situ TiB_(2)particles on machinability and surface integrity in milling of TiB_(2)/2024 and TiB_(2)/7075 Al composites显示文摘In-situ ceramics particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites are favored in the aerospace industry due to excellent properties.However,the hard ceramic particles as the reinforcement phase bring challenges to machining.To study the effect of in-situ TiB_(2)particles on machinability and surface integrity of TiB_(2)/2024 composite and TiB_(2)/7075 composite,milling experiments were performed,and compared with conventional 2024 and 7075 aluminum alloys.In-situ TiB_(2)particles clustered at the grain boundaries and dispersed inside the matrix alloy grains hinder the dislocation movement of the matrix alloy.Therefore,the milling force and temperature of the composites are higher than those of the aluminum alloys due to the increase of the strength and the decrease of the plasticity.In the milling of composites,abrasive wear is the main wear form of carbide tools,due to the scratching of hard nano-TiB_(2)particles.The composites containing in-situ TiB_(2)particles have machining defects such as smearing,micro-scratches,micro-pits and tail on the machined surface.However,in-situ TiB_(2)particles impede the plastic deformation of the composites,which greatly reduces cutting edge marks on the machined surface.Therefore,under the same milling parameters,the surface roughness of TiB_(2)/2024 composite and TiB_(2)/7075 composite is much less than that of2024 and 7075 aluminum alloy respectively.Under the milling conditions of this experiment,the machined subsurface has no metamorphic layer,and the microhardness of the machined surface is almost the same as that of the material.Besides,compared with 2024 and 7075 aluminum alloy,machined surfaces of TiB_(2)/2024 composite and TiB_(2)/7075 composite both show tensile residual stress or low magnitude of compressive residual stress.Jie CHEN Weiwei YU Zhenyu ZUO Yugang LI Dong CHEN Qinglong AN Jiwei GENG Ming CHEN Haowei WANG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,6:5
7Mitotic motor CENP-E cooperates with PRC1 in temporal control of central spindle assembly显示文摘Error-free cell division depends on the accurate assembly of the spindle midzone from dynamic spindle microtubules to ensure chromatid segregation during metaphase-anaphase transition.However,the mechanism underlying the key transition from the mitotic spindle to central spindle before anaphase onset remains elusive.Given the prevalence of chromosome instability phenotype in gastric tumorigenesis,we developed a strategy to model context-dependent cell division using a combination of light sheet microscope and 3D gastric organoids.Light sheet microscopic image analyses of 3D organoids showed that CENP-E inhibited cells undergoing aberrant metaphase-anaphase transition and exhibiting chromosome segregation errors during mitosis.Highresolution real-time imaging analyses of 2D cell culture revealed that CENP-E inhibited cells undergoing central spindle splitting and chromosome instability phenotype.Using biotinylated syntelin as an affinity matrix,we found that CENP-E forms a complex with PRC1 in mitotic cells.Chemical inhibition of CENP-E in metaphase by syntelin prevented accurate central spindle assembly by perturbing temporal assembly of PRC1 to the midzone.Thus,CENP-E-mediated PRC1 assembly to the central spindle constitutes a temporal switch to organize dynamic kinetochore microtubules into stable midzone arrays.These findings reveal a previously uncharacterized role of CENP-E in temporal control of central spindle assembly.Since CENP-E is absent from yeast,we reasoned that metazoans evolved an elaborate central spindle organization machinery to ensure accurate sister chromatid segregation during anaphase and cytokinesis.Xu Liu Leilei Xu Junying Li Phil Y.Yao Wanjuan Wang Hazrat Ismail Haowei Wang Bryce Liao Zhihong Yang Tarsha Ward Ke Ruan Jianchun Zhang Quan Wu Ping He Xia Ding Dongmei Wang Chuanhai Fu Zhen Dou Feng Yan Wenwen Wang Xing Liu Xuebiao Yao 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,8:3
8The influence of nanosized precipitates on Portevin-Le Chatelier bands and surface roughness in AlMgScZr alloy显示文摘The influence of different precipitate-dislocation interactions,namely dislocation shearing and bypassing mechanisms,on PLC bands and the resultant surface roughness in AlMgScZr alloy was investigated.Three-dimensional surface roughness was quantitatively measured by confocal microscopy.We find that the introduction of shearable precipitates increases the stress amplitude,decreases the PLC bands number and surface roughness.However,the stress amplitude decreases,the PLC bands number and surface roughness increase with shearable precipitates turning to nonshearable precipitates.By analyzing the precipitation strengthening mechanisms quantitatively,the influence of precipitates on PLC bands and the resultant surface roughness was explored.Furthermore,our study demonstrates that the shearable precipitates can decrease the surface roughness by decreasing the number of PLC bands,which is instructive for designing structural materials with desirable mechanical property and surface quality.Yaoxiang Duan Han Chen Zhe Chen Lei Wang Mingliang Wang Jun Liu Fengguo Zhang Haowei Wang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,28:3
9A novel-green adsorbent based on betaine-modified magnetic nanoparticles for removal of methyl blue显示文摘A potential adsorbent based on betaine-modified magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(BMNPs) was successfully synthesized by facile method, characterized and applied for methyl blue(MB) removal from aqueous solution. The characterization results of FTIR, transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) showed that the prepared nanoparticles could be well dispersed in water and exhibited excellent superparamagnetism. These properties imply the potential to recycle BMNPs from wastewater through magnetic field. In the adsorption process, the effects of main experimental parameters such as p H of MB solution, initial concentration of MB, contact time, and adsorption capacity for MB were studied and optimized. These results demonstrated that large amounts of quaternary ammonium groups existing on the surface of BMNPs could promote absorption of MB via electrostatic forces. Additionally, the adsorption kinetics of MB was found to follow a pseudosecond-order kinetic model and the adsorption equilibrium data fitted very closely to the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model. The maximum adsorption capacity for MB was calculated to be 136 mg g 1at room temperature. 10Current status,trends,and predictions in the burden of gallbladder and biliary tract cancer in China from 1990 to 2019显示文摘Background:Gallbladder and biliary tract cancer(GBTC)has greatly damaged the health of patients and is accompanied by a dismal prognosis.The worldwide distribution of GBTC shows extensive variance and the updated data in China is lacking.This study was to determine the current status,trends,and predictions in the burden of GBTC over the past 30 years in China.Methods:This was a descriptive,epidemiological,secondary analysis of the Global Burden of Disease,Injuries,and Risk Factor Study 2019 data.Data including incidence,prevalence,mortality,and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)of GBTC in China by year,age,and sex were assessed.Joinpoint regression analysis was conducted to evaluate trends of disease burden due to GBTC from 1990 to 2019.Nordpred age-period-cohort analysis was applied for the projection of mortality and incidence due to GBTC from 2019 to 2044.Results:Nationally,there were 38,634(95%uncertainty interval[UI]:27,350-46,512)new cases and 47,278(95%UI:32,889-57,229)patients due to GBTC,causing 34,462(95%UI:25,220-41,231)deaths,and 763,584(95%UI:566,755-920,493)DALYs in 2019.Both cases and rates of burden owing to GBTC were heavier among males and at old age.From 1990 to 2019,the age-standardized rates of incidence,prevalence,mortality,and DALYs of GBTC generally increased from 1990 to 2019,with average annual percentage change at 0.8%(95%confidential interval[CI]:0.6-1.0%),1.3%(95%CI:1.1-1.5%),0.4%(95%CI:0.2-0.6%),and 0.2%(95%CI:0.1-0.4%),respectively.Even though the age-standardized incidence rate and agestandardized mortality rate in both sexes were predicted to decline gradually from 2019 to 2044,the number of new cases and deaths were expected to grow steadily.Conclusions:GBTC is becoming a major health burden in China,particularly among males and older individuals.Given the aging population and increasing burden,effective strategies and measurements are urged to prevent or reduce the number of new cases and deaths of GBTC.Shimin Chen Ke Han Yang Song Shaohua Liu Xuehang Li Shengshu Wang Haowei Li Rongrong Li Jianhua Wang Yao He Miao Liu 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,14:2
11Hybrid Passive/Active Vibration Control of a Loosely Connected Spacecraft System显示文摘In this paper,a hybrid passive/active vibration(HPAV)controller of a loosely connected spacecraft consisting of a servicing satellite,a target and an X-shape structure isolator is first proposed to suppress vibrations of the system when subjected to the impulsive external excitations during the on-orbit missions.The passive dynamic response of the combined system can be adjusted appropriately to achieve the desired vibration isolation performance by tuning the structural parameters of the bio-inspired X-shape structure.Moreover,the adaptive control design through dynamic scaling technique is selected as the active component to maintain high vibration isolation performance in the presence of parameter uncertainties such as mass of the satellite platform,the damping and rotation friction coefficients of the X-shape structure.Compared with the pure passive system and the traditional spring-mass-damper(SMD)isolator,the HPAV strategy witnesses lower transmissibility,smaller vibration amplitude and higher convergence rate when subjected to the post-capture impact.Numerical simulations demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the proposed hybrid control scheme in suppressing vibrations of the free-floating spacecraft.Xin Wang Xiaokui Yue Haowei Wen Jianping Yuan 2020Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2020,,1:2
12Novel Mg-Bi-Mn wrought alloys:The effects of extrusion temperature and Mn addition on their microstructures and mechanical properties显示文摘Designing and developing the Mg alloys with low cost and high performance is of the great significance.Novel Mg-1Bi-xMn(x=0,1and 2 wt.%)extruded alloys,in this work,were fabricated at different extrusion temperatures(220,250 and 300℃).The effects of extrusion temperature and Mn addition on the microstructures and mechanical properties of extruded alloys at room temperature were investigated.The results showed that decreasing the extrusion temperature could refine the average grain size,weaken the basal fiber texture intensity and improve the microstructural homogeneity of extruded alloys.When the Mn element was added to the Mg-1Bi alloy,the average grain size further reduced.Simultaneously,the number fraction of low angle grain boundaries(LAGBs)increased,along with the occurrence of regions without dynamic recrystallization(unDRX).The combined effects of grain refinement and coarse unDRXed structure made the textures of the extruded Mg-1Bi-xMn alloys never obviously change.Besides few large size un-dissolved second phases,fine Mg_(3)Bi_(2) and α-Mn phases were precipitated in the extruded Mg-1Bi-xMn alloys and partial nano-scaleα-Mn particles pined at grain boundaries(GBs)to effectively impede the migration of GBs for grain refinement.Microstructural variations determined the extruded Mg-1Bi-2Mn alloy to exhibit the highest yield strength of~319.2 MPa with the appropriate elongation-to-failure of~13%at the extrusion temperature of 220℃,and they enabled the extruded Mg-1Bi-1Mn alloy to show the highest elongation-to-failure of~26%without the obvious loss of yield strength of~252.1 MPa.Qinghang Wang Haowei Zhai Lintao Liu Hongbo Xia Bin Jiang Jun Zhao Daolun Chen Fusheng Pan 2022Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,9:2
13Beamforming analysis based on CSB sin-FDA显示文摘This paper studies the adaptive beamforming algorithm based on the frequency diverse array(FDA)array where the interference is located at the same angle(but different range)with the target.We take the cross subarray-based FDA with sinusoidal frequency offset(CSB sin-FDA)as the receiving array instead of the basic FDA.The sampling covariance matrix under insufficient snapshot can be corrected by the automatic diagonal loading method.On the basis of decomposing the mismatched steering vector error into a vertical component and a parallel one,this paper searches the vertical component of the error by the quadratic constraint method.The numerical simulation verifies that the beamformer based on the CSB sin-FDA can effectively hold the mainlobe at the target position when the snapshot is insufficient or the steering vector is mismatched.WANG Bo XIE Junwei ZHANG Jing ZHANG Haowei 2020Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2020,31,1:2
14Porous polyetheretherketone microcarriers fabricated via hydroxylation together with cellderived mineralized extracellular matrix coatings promote cell expansion and bone regeneration显示文摘Porous microcarriers have aroused increasing attention recently by facilitating oxygen and nutrient transfer,supporting cell attachment and growth with sufficient cell seeding density.In this study,porous polyetheretherketone(PEEK)microcarriers coated with mineralized extracellular matrix(mECM),known for their chemical,mechanical and biological superiority,were developed for orthopedic applications.Porous PEEK microcarriers were derived from smooth microcarriers using a simple wet-chemistry strategy involving the reduction of carbonyl groups.This treatment simultaneously modified surface topology and chemical composition.Furthermore,the microstructure,protein absorption,cytotoxicity and bioactivity of the obtained porous microcarriers were investigated.The deposition of mECM through repeated recellularization and decellularization on the surface of porous MCs further promoted cell proliferation and osteogenic activity.Additionally,the mECM coated porous microcarriers exhibited excellent bone regeneration in a rat calvarial defect repair model in vivo,suggesting huge potential applications in bone tissue engineering.Shuo Sun Zixue Jiao Yu Wang Zhenxu Wu Haowei Wang Qingming Ji Yi Liu Zongliang Wang Peibiao Zhang 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,2:2
15Abnormal nonlinear optical responses on the surface of topological materials显示文摘The nonlinear optical(NLO)responses of topological materials are under active research.Most previous works studied the surface and bulk NLO responses separately.Here we develop a generic Green’s function framework to investigate the surface and bulk NLO responses together.We reveal that the topological surface can behave disparately from the bulk under light illumination.Remarkably,the photocurrents on the surface can flow in opposite directions to those in the bulk interior,and the light-induced spin current on the surface can be orders of magnitude stronger than its bulk counterpart on a per-volume basis.We also study the responses under inhomogeneous field and higher-order NLO effect,which are all distinct on the surface.These anomalous surface responses suggest that light can be a valuable tool for probing the surface states of topological materials.Besides,the surface effects should be prudently considered when investigating the optical properties of topological materials.Haowei Xu Hua Wang Ju Li 2022npj Computational Materials2022,,1:1
16Dot-shaped beamforming analysis based on OSB log-FDA显示文摘The range and angle information of the frequency diverse array(FDA) cannot be exclusively determined at the output of the array because of the range-angle coupled transmit beampattern. The best decoupling approach is to form a dot-shaped beampattern rather than the S-shaped beampattern of the basic FDA.Considering the degradation of the output signal-to-interferenceplus-noise ratio(SINR) caused by the coupled beampattern, we propose a dot-shaped beamforming method based on the analyzed overlapping subarray-based using a logarithmic offset and a subarray-based planar FDA using a logarithmically increasing frequency offset, with elements transmitting at multiple frequencies. 18Interactions between cadmium and multiple precipitates in an Al-Li-Cu alloy:Improving aging kinetics and precipitation hardening显示文摘This work demonstrates significant improvements in both the aging kinetics and precipitation hardening of an Al-Li-Cu alloy with the minor addition of Cd(0.06 at.%).The precipitation hardening effect of T1 precipitates in casting Al-Li-Cu alloys has long been ignored since it is difficult to achieve a high number density of fine precipitates without a large number of dislocations.A detailed transmission electron microscopy investigation shows that the Cd addition has changed the distribution of T1 precipitates from the conventional uneven distribution near dislocations or grain boundaries to a more homogeneous manner.Most of the Cd-rich nanoparticles were observed at the broad face and/or terminal of the T1 platelets.It is highly likely that these nanoparticles act as heterogeneous nucleation sites,which consequently leads to a higher number density of T1 precipitates.Moreover,Cd atoms were preferentially segregated withinδprecipitates,which can be attributed to the strong bonding between Li and Cd.The interactions between Cd and the T1(Al2CuLi)andδ′(Al3Li)precipitates in Al-Li-Cu alloy are first reported.The present study may propose a new mechanism to effectively improve precipitation kinetics and therefore the age-hardening effect of Al-Li-Cu alloys.Liang Wu Yugang Li Xianfeng Li Naiheng Ma Haowei Wang 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,11:1
19Secret key generation over a Nakagami-m fading channel with correlated eavesdropping channel显示文摘The analysis of secret key capacity is an important investigation on the design of secret key agreement protocol.In this paper,we characterize the secret key capacity based on received signal envelopes obeying Nakagami-m distribution between two legitimate users,in the presence of a passive eavesdropper,when the eavesdropping channel is correlated with the legitimate channel.The expression of secret key capacity is derived based on mutual information and applies to both integer and non-integer m.Simulation results indicate that the secret key capacity is proportional to m-fading parameter and average signal-tonoise ratio(SNR)and inversely proportional to the number of paths.In addition,some behaviors of secret key capacity over a high mobility fading channel,and microcell and macrocell environments are provided.These results cover the performance of secret key capacity when the received signal envelope follows Rayleigh,Rician,and Gaussian distributions.Shixun GONG Xiaofeng TAO Na LI Haowei WANG Jin XU 2022Science China(Information Sciences)2022,65,9:1
