| 3 | Systematic study of Ce^(3+) on the structural and magnetic properties of Cu nanosized ferrites for potential applications显示文摘Ce^(3+) substituted Cu-spinel nanoferrites CuCe_xFe_(2-x)O_4(x=0.00, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08 and 0.10) were synthesized via sol-gel self-combustion hybrid route. Single phase spinel ferrite of Cu nanoferrites were examined using X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis whereas the multiphase structure was observed as Ce contents increased from x=0.06. Field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM), Thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis(TGA and DTA) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) were used to find out the morphology phase and metal stretching vibrations of Ce^(3+) substituted nanocrystalline ferrites. The crystallite size was increased and found in the range of 25-91 nm. The agglomerations in Cu ferrite samples increase as the Ce^(3+) concentration increases. The magnetic properties such as remanence, saturation magnetization, coercivity, Bohr magneton and magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant(K) were determined using M-H loops recorded from a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM). Saturation magnetization, remanence and coercivity are increased as the Ce^(3+)contents increase in Cu nanocrystalline samples. Moreover, law of approach to saturation(LoA) was used to calculate the maximum value of saturation for Ce-doped Cu nanoferrites. The soft magnetic behaviour of the Cu nanoferrite is observed as compared to the samples substituted with the increased Ce contents in Cu nanocrystalline ferrite. Bohr magneton and magnetocrystalline anisotropy are found to increase with the substitution of rare earth Ce^(3+) contents in Cu spinel nanocrystalline ferrite. | 4 | Mechanism and monitoring and early warning technology for rockburst in coal mines显示文摘On the basis of the massive amount of published literature and the long-term practice of our research group in the field of prevention and control of rockburst,the research progress and shortcomings in understanding the rockburst phenomenon have been comprehensively in-vestigated.This study focuses on the occurrence mechanism and monitoring and early warning technology for rockburst in coal mines.Results showed that the prevention and control of rockburst had made significant progress.However,with the increasing mining depth,several unre-solved concerns remain challenging.From the in-depth research and analysis,it can be inferred that rockburst disasters involve three main problems,i.e.,the induction factors are complicated,the mechanism is still unclear,and the accuracy of the monitoring equipment and multi-source stereo monitoring technology is insufficient.The monitoring and warning standards of rockburst need to be further clarified and im-proved.Combined with the Internet of Things,cloud computing,and big data,a study of the trend of rockburst needs to be conducted.Further-more,the mechanism of multiphase and multi-field coupling induced by rockburst on a large scale needs to be explored.A multisystem and multiparameter integrated monitoring and early warning system and remote monitoring cloud platform for rockburst should be explored and developed.High-reliability sensing technology and equipment and perfect monitoring and early warning standards are considered to be the de-velopment direction of rockburst in the future.This research will help experts and technicians adopt effective measures for controlling rock-burst disasters. | Xue-qiu He Chao Zhou Da-zhao Song Zhen-lei Li An-ye Cao Shen-quan He Majid Khan | 2021 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2021,28,7: | 3 |
| 5 | Enhancing Dielectric and Mechanical Behaviors of Hybrid Polymer Nanocomposites Based on Polystyrene,Polyaniline and Carbon Nanotubes Coated with Polyaniline显示文摘The dielectric and mechanical properties of hybrid polymer nanocomposites of polystyrene/polyaniline/carbon nanotubes coated with polyaniline(PCNTs) have been investigated using impedance analyzer and extensometer. The blends of PS/PANI formed the heterogeneous phase separated morphology in which PCNTs are dispersed uniformly. The incorporation of a small amount of PCNTs into the blend of PS/PANI has remarkably increased the dielectric properties. Similarly, the AC conductivity of PS/PANI is also increased five orders of magnitude from 1.6 × 10^(-10) to 2.0 × 10^(-5) S·cm^(-1) in the hybrid nanocomposites. Such behavior of hybrid nanocomposites is owing to the interfacial polarization occurring due to the presence of multicomponent domains with varying conductivity character of the phases from insulative PS to poor conductor PANI to highly conductive CNTs. Meanwhile, the tensile modulus and tensile strength are also enhanced significantly up to 55% and 160%, respectively, without much loss of ductility for three phase hybrid nanocomposites as compared to the neat PS. | 6 | Bioassay-guided isolation of novel and selective urease inhibitors from Diospyros lotus显示文摘Two new dimeric naphthoquinones, 5′,8′-dihydroxy-6,6′-dimethyl-7,3′-binaphthyl-1,4,1′,4′-tetraone(1; Di-naphthodiospyrol D) and 5′,8′-dihydroxy-5,8-dimethoxy-6,6′-dimethyl-7,3′-binaphthyl-1,4,1′,4′-tetraone(2; Di-naphthodiospyrol E), along with known naphthoquinones diospyrin(3) and 8-hydroxy diospyrin(4) were isolated from the chloroform fraction of extract of Diospyros lotus roots. Their structures were elucidated by advanced spectroscopic analyses, including HSQC, HMBC, NOESY, and J-resolved NMR experiments. The fractions and compounds 1-4 were evaluated for urease activity and phosphodiesterase-Ⅰ, carbonic anhydrase-Ⅱ and α-chymotrypsin enzyme inhibitory activities. Compounds 1 and 2 and their corresponding fractions showed significant and selective inhibitory effects on urease activities. The IC_(50) values of 1 and 2 were 260.4 ± 6.37 and 381.4 ± 4.80 μmol·L-1, respectively, using thiourea(IC_(50) = 21 ± 0.11 μmol·L^(-1)) as the standard inhibitor. | 7 | 煤岩电磁辐射理论与技术新进展显示文摘煤炭作为我国重要的基础能源和工业原料,其安全开采是保障国家能源安全、支撑经济社会稳定发展的关键。随着浅部煤炭资源的逐渐枯竭,深部开采逐渐成为我国煤炭资源开发新常态,煤岩动力灾害风险随之攀升,严重制约煤炭安全高效开采,对我国煤炭工业可持续发展造成了恶劣的社会负面影响。准确可靠的监测手段是进行煤岩动力灾害防治的必要前提,地球物理监测预警方法通过感知煤岩变形破坏过程中释放的声、电、磁等物理信号来反演煤岩体的损伤破坏状态,已被广泛应用于煤岩动力灾害预警中。其中电磁辐射监测法具有非接触、无损、实时、前兆性强等优势,适用于矿山信息化智能化发展要求。因此,大力推动电磁辐射监测技术的发展,对于煤岩动力灾害防治具有重要意义,可为智慧矿山建设提供重要的技术支持。围绕试验现象、机理模型、技术方法3个方面对电磁辐射理论与技术研究成果进行综述,回顾了电磁辐射现象的发现过程,分析了电磁辐射信号特征、影响因素、力电耦合效应等煤岩电磁辐射特征规律,根据典型电磁辐射机理模型与应力作用、裂纹扩展过程的相关性进行了分类评述,并对现有煤岩电磁辐射监测预警装备及技术方法进行了简要介绍。在此基础上,详细阐述了近年来在煤岩电磁辐射矢量特性研究、煤岩电磁辐射机理微观尺度验证、煤岩电磁辐射定位技术方面取得的新进展。总结了当前煤岩电磁辐射机理未完全揭示和无法实现孕灾区域定位两大理论与技术研究瓶颈,为未来煤岩电磁辐射理论与技术的发展提出了新目标。 | 何学秋 韦梦菡 宋大钊 李振雷 邱黎明 何生全 MAJID Khan 王安虎 | 2023 | 煤炭科学技术2023,51,1: | 2 |
| 8 | Sedative and antinociceptive activities of two new sesquiterpenes isolated from Ricinus communis显示文摘Two new sesquiterpenes, trivially named ricinusoids A(1) and ricinusoids B(2), were isolated from ethyl acetate fraction of Ricinus communis. The structures of new compounds were elucidated by detailed spectroscopic techniques, including 1 D-and 2 D-NMR, UV, IR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry. The compounds(1-2) were also assessed for in-vivo sedative and analgesic like effects in open field and acetic acid induced writhing tests respectively at 5, 10, and 20 mg·kg^(–1) i.p. Pretreatment of both test compounds caused significant(P ≤ 0.05) reduction in locomotive activity like sedative agents and abdominal constrictions like analgesics. | 14 | The role of graveyards in species conservation and beta diversity:a vegetation appraisal of sacred habitats from Bannu,Pakistan显示文摘Graveyards or sacred groves are often places of natural vegetation protected by spiritual believers because of their sacred beliefs and indigenous culture.A study of graveyards was conducted to determine their role in species conservation,community formation,and associated indicators and species composition using multivariate statistical approaches.It was hypothesized that variations in the age of graveyards would give rise to diverse plant communities under the impact of various edaphic and climatic factors.Quantitative ecological techniques were applied to determine various phytosociological attributes.All the data were put in MS Excel for analysis in PCORD and CANOCO softwares for cluster analysis(CA),two-way cluster analysis(TWCA),indicator species analysis and canonical correspondence analysis.CA and TWCA through Sorenson distance measurements identified five major graveyard plant communities:(1)FicusBougainvillea-Chenopodium;(2)Acacia-Datura-Convolvulus;(3)Ziziphus-Vitex-Abutilon;(4)Acacia-Lantana-Salsola;and(5)Melia-Rhazya-Peganum.Species such as Capparis decidua,Herniaria hirsuta,Salvadora oliedes and Populus euphratica were only present inside graveyards rather than outside and advocate the role of graveyards in species conservation.The impact of different environmental and climatic variables plus the age of the graveyards were also assessed for comparison of plant communities and their respective indicator species.The results indicate that higher chlorine concentration,age of graveyards,low soil electrical conductivity,lower anthropogenic activities,higher nitrogen,calcium and magnesium concentrations in the soil,and sandy soils were the strong environmental variables playing a significant role in the formation of graveyard plant communities,their associated indicators and species distribution patterns.These results could further be utilized to evaluate the role of edaphic and climatic factors,indicator species and conservation management practices at a greater scale. | Saqib Kamran Shujaul Mulk Khan Zeeshan Ahmad Amjad Ur Rahman Majid Iqbal Fazal Manan Zahoor Ul Haq Saif Ullah | 2020 | Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,4: | 1 |

| 16 | AFM characterization of surface mechanical and electrical properties of some common rocks显示文摘The characterization of micro-surface mechanical and electrical properties of the natural rock materials remains inadequate,and their macroscopic performance can be better comprehended by investigating the surface properties.With this purpose,the present research focuses on characterizing the microsurface morphology,Derjaguin-Muller-Toporov(DMT)modulus,adhesion,and potential of granite,shale,and limestone by employing the atomic force microscope(AFM)as a pioneer attempt.The results show that the micro-surface morphology of the rock fluctuates within hundreds of nanometers,among which the granite micro-surface is comparatively the smoothest,followed by limestone.The morphology of the shale is the roughest,indicating that the regional difference of shale micro-surface is dominant.The distribution of the adhesion on rock micro-surface is uneven;the average adhesion of eight measuring areas for shale is 23.93 n N,accounting for three times of granite and limestone,while the surface DMT modulus of shale is relatively lower than granite and limestone.It is inferred from the obtained results that higher surface adhesion is helpful to the gas adsorption of shale,and the lower surface DMT(elastic)modulus is useful to the formation of fractures and pores.Thus,these two are the micromechanical basis of shale gas adsorption.Additionally,introducing a method to reduce the surface adhesion will benefit the exploration of unconventional resources such as shale gas.The micro-surface of the three types of rocks all shows electricity,with average potential ranging from tens of millivolts to hundreds of millivolts.Besides,the micro-surface potential of the rocks are heterogeneous,and both positive and negative points can be found.The existence and uneven distribution of micro-surface potential provide a robust physical basis for the electromagnetic radiation generated by rock fracture under loading.This study offers a new method for revealing the adsorption characteristics of unconventional gas reservoir rocks and the electromagnetic radiation mechanism of the rock fracture. | Xianghui Tian Xueqiu He Dazhao Song Zhenlei Li Majid Khan Huifang Liu Liming Qiu | 2022 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,2: | 1 |
| 17 | Floristic composition and ecological gradient analyses of the Liakot Forests in the Kalam region of District Swat,Pakistan显示文摘Kalam Kohistan is a dry,temperate hilly region in the Hindu Raj Series of the Greater Hindu Kush Mountains with diverse forests.As plant distribution and composition is expression of a range of various environmental variables,ecological and floristic attributes of vegetation in the Laikot Forests were therefore evaluated via consecutive explorative trips.These forests have not been evaluated ecologically before due to harsh climatic conditions and issues of accessibility and the study in hand is one of the first in its nature.Quantitative ecological techniques were used to sample forest vegetation and identify species in quadrats of 2 m×2 m for herbs,5 m×5 m for shrubs and 10 m×10 m for trees.All the data of 195 plant species and environmental factors were analyzed via Two-way Cluster Analysis and Canonical Correspondence Analysis using PCORD and CANOCO software.Among 195 plant species from 63 families were 27 species of Asteraceae,the most-speciose family,followed by Poaceae(20 spp.).The dominant life form was therophyte(86 spp.;44%share),followed by phanerophyte(41 spp.;21%share).For the leaf size spectrum,most prevalent was nanophyll(73 spp.;44%)followed by microphyll(66 spp.,34%)and mesophyll(44 spp.;23%).Calcium carbonate,pH,potassium,sand,silt,organic matter,slope aspect and grazing significantly influenced species composition,distribution and habitat.The floristic variation in the region was diverse due to elevational and aspect gradients and thus devided into three zones.This vegetation zonation can be utilized for forest management,species and habitat conservation.Both in situ and ex situ conservation of threatened plant species may improve their conservation status in future if address properly. | Sohail Anwar Shujaul Mulk Khan Zeeshan Ahmad Zahid Ullah Majid Iqbal | 2019 | Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,4: | 1 |
| 18 | An Integrated Deep Learning Framework for Fruits Diseases Classification显示文摘:Agriculture has been an important research area in the field of image processing for the last five years.Diseases affect the quality and quantity of fruits,thereby disrupting the economy of a country.Many computerized techniques have been introduced for detecting and recognizing fruit diseases.However,some issues remain to be addressed,such as irrelevant features and the dimensionality of feature vectors,which increase the computational time of the system.Herein,we propose an integrated deep learning framework for classifying fruit diseases.We consider seven types of fruits,i.e.,apple,cherry,blueberry,grapes,peach,citrus,and strawberry.The proposed method comprises several important steps.Initially,data increase is applied,and then two different types of features are extracted.In the first feature type,texture and color features,i.e.,classical features,are extracted.In the second type,deep learning characteristics are extracted using a pretrained model.The pretrained model is reused through transfer learning.Subsequently,both types of features are merged using the maximum mean value of the serial approach.Next,the resulting fused vector is optimized using a harmonic threshold-based genetic algorithm.Finally,the selected features are classified using multiple classifiers.An evaluation is performed on the PlantVillage dataset,and an accuracy of 99%is achieved.A comparison with recent techniques indicate the superiority of the proposed method. | Abdul Majid Muhammad Attique Khan Majed Alhaisoni Muhammad Asfand Eyar Usman Tariq Nazar Hussain Yunyoung Nam Seifedine Kadry | 2022 | Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,4: | 1 |
