| 1 | Loess in the Tian Shan and its implications for the development of the Gurbantunggut Desert and drying of northern Xinjiang显示文摘Eolian loess is widely distributed on the various geomorphic surfaces between 700-2400 m a.s.l. on the northern slope of the Tian Shan. It is formed in a synchronous manner with dust transported from the Gurbantunggut Desert in the Junggar Basin. The thickest section of loess was found in the Shawan and Shihezi regions. Paleomagnetic and climatic proxy analyses of over 71 m of a loess-paleosol sequence on the highest terrace of the Qingshui He (River) in the Shawan show that the paleomagnetic Bruhues/Matuy-ama (B/M) boundary lies at the bottom of paleosol S8, at a depth of 69.5 m, and the bottom of the sequence was estimated to be -0.8 Ma. This implies that the extremely dry climatic conditions in the Junggar Basin and the initial Gurbantunggut Desert were present at least by 0.8 Ma. | 2 | Paleomagnetic dating of the Jiuquan Gravel in the Hexi Corridor:Implication on mid-Pleistocene uplift of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The sediments in the foreland basins around the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau preserved crucial information to reveal its tectonic history. In the Hexi Corridor, north periphery of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, the angular unconformity between the Jiuquan Gravel and the Yumen Conglomerate has been well known to represent an intensive tectonic event of the plateau. However, its age is poorly constrained. Our paleomagnetic dating at the Laojunmiao section in the Jiuxi Basin show that the bottom of the Jiuquan Gravel reaches 0.84 MaBP, the top of the Yumen Conglomerate is about 0.93 MaBP. | 3 | Sedimentary Conditions of Evaporites in the Late Jurassic Xiali Formation,Qiangtang Basin:Evidence from Geochemistry Records显示文摘The Qiangtang Basin(QB), located in the central Tibetan Plateau, is a Jurassic marine basin and one of the most important prospective salt resource belts in China. In recent decades, many outcrops of gypsiferous bed have been found in the Jurassic marine strata in the basin. Salt springs with abnormally high sodium(Na^+) contents had been identified in the Late Jurassic Xiali Formation(Fm.) in the basin in the last years. However, to date, no potash or halite deposits have been identified in the QB. Gypsum outcrops and salt springs are very important signs in the investigation of halite and potash deposits. Therefore, the Xiali Fm. is a potentially valuable layer to evaluate for the possible presence of halite and potash deposits in the basin. However, few studies have explored the formation conditions of evaporites in the unit. Here, we present detailed geochemical records from the Yanshiping section related to the study of the formation conditions of evaporites in the Xiali Fm. of the QB. Climate proxies based on the obviously increased anion concentrations of SO_4(2-) and Cl^- and the significant correlation coefficients of Ca2+-SO42-(R = 0.985) and Na^+-Cl^-(R = 0.8974) reveal that the upper member of the Xiali Fm.(the upper Xiali Fm.) formed under an arid climate and evolved into the sulfate phase or early chloride phase. Provenance proxies based on the obviously increased K^+ and Na^+ ion concentrations and the significant correlation coefficient of Na^+-Cl^-(R = 0.8974) suggest that the upper Xiali Fm. featured optimal provenance conditions for the possible formation of halite deposits. The regression and the semi-closed tidal flat environment in the upper Xiali Fm. were favorable for the formation of potash and halite deposits. The low Mg^(2+) /Ca^(2+) values(mean value = 1.82) and significant Na^+-Cl^- correlation coefficient(R = 0.8974) also suggest that the upper Xiali Fm. is the layer most likely to contain potential halite deposits. In addition, the macroscopic correlations of tectonism, provenance, paleoclimate, saliferous strata and sedimentary environment between the QB and the adjoining Amu Darya Basin in Central Asia reveal that the two basins shared similar geologic settings that were favorable for the formation of evaporites during the Late Jurassic. | 5 | 准噶尔盆地基底构造显示文摘我们已完成了穿越准噶尔盆地及其周边地区的I-I、II-II、III-III、IV-IV和额敏—哈密剖面5条综合地球物理剖面。通过综合研究,初步了解准噶尔盆地及邻近地区的地球动力学问题:准噶尔盆地基底由北部的乌伦古地体和南部的玛纳斯地体组成。两者的分界为西西北方向的滴水泉—三个泉缝合线。其西部与北东向Dalbutte缝合带相连,东部与北西向的Cranamary缝合带相连。准噶尔盆地北部的乌伦古地体基底为双层构造,上层为泥盆系和下石炭统组成的褶皱基底,大致表现为北厚(3~5 km)、南薄(1~2 km)。缝合线以南的玛纳斯地体为单层基底,即新元古代结晶基底。准噶尔盆地地壳厚度为44~52 km,北薄南厚。周边山区地壳厚度高于盆地地区。盆地及邻近地区地壳分为上、中、下层,并且中地壳一般较薄。盆地地区的地壳存在多条深断裂。南北方向发育了6条主要深断裂,分别为红车、德伦山、石溪、呼图壁、彩南和阜康。这些断层倾角较大,向上延伸至上地壳下部,向下切入地壳基底界面。壳内水平构造和构造面无明显垂向断层,似有“开放断层”特征。这些断层是上地幔物质挤入地壳的良好通道。此外,该地区还有两条主要的横向深断层。一是北西西走向的滴水泉—三个泉深断裂,它向南倾斜,具有逆断层性质,可能会破坏滴水泉—三个泉缝合带。另一条是近东西向的昌吉—玛纳斯深断裂,向南倾斜,主要发育在中下地壳,具有逆断层性质。这些深断裂对盆地构造发育具有一定的控制作用。准噶尔盆地西部的莫霍面基本连续地延伸到了天山的莫霍面,并且后者的莫霍面深度明显大于前者。但是,盆地东部的莫霍面与博格达山脉的莫霍面并不连续。前者以叠加关系延伸到后者之下,表明盆地东部的地壳向博格达山脉俯冲。这有助于解释天山东部构造活动相对减弱而博格达山脉向北推高的构造地貌现象。周边准噶尔盆地具有挤压盆地山地构造耦合格局,尤其是南部边界东部博格达—准东盆地的山地盆地构造耦合。现在将准噶尔盆地与吐哈盆地分开的博格达山脉是年轻的、仍在上升的山脉。博格达山的隆升是印支运动以来多次推覆造山运动的反映,其现貌是新近纪以来新构造运动的结果。准噶尔盆地盖层发育经历了3个阶段:与天山和松潘—甘孜造山带形成有关的二叠纪—三叠纪前陆盆地阶段,区域压缩较弱的侏罗纪—早始新世陆内坳陷阶段,以及新近纪晚期以来与天山抬升有关的活化前陆盆地阶段。 | Xiaojun WANG Yong SONG Baoli BIAN Junmeng ZHAO Heng ZHANG Maodu YAN Shunping PEI Qiang XU Shuaijun WANG Hongbing LIU Changhui JU | 2021 | 地学前缘2021,28,6: | 2 |

| 7 | New insights on the age of the Mengyejing Formation in the Simao Basin,SE Tethyan domain and its geological implications显示文摘Knowledge on the origin and mechanism of the large potash formation in the southeast Tethyan tectonic domain are still under debate,one of which mainly due to the controversial ages of the potash-bearing strata.Here we present a detailed detrital zircon U-Pb geochronologic-magnetostratigraphic study of the potash-bearing Mengyejing(MYJ)Formation(Fm)from the Simao Basin.948 paleomagnetic cores and 4 detrital zircon U-Pb samples were collected from a 932-m thick Jiangcheng section.Thermal demagnetization isolated 857 primary characteristic remnant magnetization(ChRM)directions,indicated by positive reversals and fold tests and petrologic examinations.Seven normal and seven reversed polarity zones were identified and correlated well with chrons C27r to C34n of the geomagnetic polarity timescale(GPTS2012),yielding the first known age sequence of>112 to~63 Ma for the MYJ Fm.The ages for the potash bearing strata in the Simao commenced~20 Ma earlier than those in the adjacent Khorat basins,opposite to the traditional viewpoint that the former would rather correspond to the middle and lower parts of the latter.Given the paleogeographic reconstruction of likely a pan-Simao-Khorat basin during the Cretaceous,~85 Ma would be another important potential period for future potash exploration in the Simao Basin. | Maodu YAN Dawen ZHANG Xiaomin FANG Weilin ZHANG Chunhui SONG Chenglin LIU Jinbo ZAN Miaomiao SHEN | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,2: | 1 |

| 13 | Quantum dynamics studies on the non-adiabatic effects of H+LiD reaction显示文摘After the Big Bang,chemical reactions of hydrogen with LiH and its isotopic variants played an important role in the late stage of recombination.Moreover,these reactions have attracted the attention of experts in the field of molecular dynamics because of its simple structure.Electronically non-adiabatic effects play a key role in many chemical reactions,while the related studies in LiH2 reactive system and its isotopic variants are not enough,so the microscopic mechanism of this system has not been fully explored.In this work,the microscopic mechanism of H+LiD reaction are performed by comparing both the adiabatic and non-adiabatic results to study the non-adiabatic effects.The reactivity of R1(H+LiD→Li+HD)channel is inhibited,while that of R2(H+LiD→D+LiH)channel is enhanced when the non-adiabatic couplings are considered.For R1 channel,a direct stripping process dominates this channel and the main reaction mechanism is not influenced by the non-adiabatic effects.For R2 channel,at relatively low collision energy,the dominance changes from a rebound process to the complex-forming mechanism when the non-adiabatic effects are considered,whereas the rebound collision approach still dominates the reaction at relatively high collision energy in both calculations.The presented results provide a basis for further detailed study on this importantly astrophysical reaction system. | Yuwen Bai Zijiang Yang Bayaer Buren Ye Mao Maodu Chen | 2023 | Frontiers of physics2023,18,3: | 0 |
