Approaching 18%efficiency of ternary organic photovoltaics with wide bandgap polymer donor and well compatible Y6:Y6-1O as acceptor显示文摘A series of ternary organic photovoltaics(OPVs)are fabricated with one wide bandgap polymer D18-Cl as donor, and well compatible Y6 and Y6-1O as acceptor. The open-circuit-voltage(V_(OC))of ternary OPVs is monotonously increased along with the incorporation of Y6-1O,indicating that the alloy state should be formed between Y6 and Y6-1O due to their excellent compatibility. The energy loss can be minimized by incorporating Y6-1 O,leading to the V_(OC)improvement of ternary OPVs.By finely adjusting the Y6-1O content,a power conversion efficiency of 17.91%is achieved in the optimal ternary OPVs with 30 wt%Y6-1O in acceptors, resulting from synchronously improved short-circuit-current density(JSC)of 25.87 mA cm^(-2),fill factor(FF)of 76.92%and V_(OC)of 0.900 V in comparison with those of D18-Cl:Y6 binary OPVs.The JSC and FF improvement of ternary OPVs should be ascribed to comprehensively optimal photon harvesting, exciton dissociation and charge transport in ternary active layers. The more efficient charge separation and transport process in ternary active layers can be confirmed by the magnetophotocurrent and impedance spectroscopy experimental results, respectively. This work provides new insight into constructing highly efficient ternary OPVs with well compatible Y6 and its derivative as acceptor. | Xiaoling Ma Anping Zeng Jinhua Gao Zhenghao Hu Chunyu Xu Jae Hoon Son Sang Young Jeong Caixia Zhang Mengyang Li Kai Wang He Yan Zaifei Ma Yongsheng Wang Han Young Woo Fujun Zhang | 2021 | National Science Review2021,8,8: | 3
Cobalt-doped Mn3O4 nanocrystals embedded in graphene nanosheets as a high-performance bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst for rechargeable Zn–Air batteries显示文摘A non-noble-metal bifunctional catalyst with efficient and durable activity towards both the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is crucial to the development of rechargeable Zn-air batteries.Herein,a facile one-step hydrothermal method is reported for the synthesis of a high-performance bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst,cobalt-doped Mn_(3)O_(4) nanocrystals supported on graphene nanosheets(Co–Mn_(3)O_(4)/G).Compare to pristine Mn_(3)O_(4),this Co–Mn_(3)O_(4)/G exhibits greatly enhanced electrocatalytic activity, delivering a halfwave potential of 0.866 V for the ORR and a low overpotential of 275 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2) for the OER.The zinc-air battery built with Co–Mn_(3)O_(4)/G shows a reduced charge–discharge voltage of 0.91 V at 10 mA cm^(-2),an power density of 115.24 mW cm^(-2) and excellent stability without any degradation after 945 cycles(315 h),outperforming the state-of-the-art Pt/C–Ir/C catalyst-based device. | Mengyang Dong Xu Liu Lixue Jiang Zhengju Zhu Yajie Shu Shan Chen Yuhai Dou Porun Liu Huajie Yin Huijun Zhao | 2020 | Green Energy & Environment2020,5,4: | 2
Building bioorthogonal click-release capable artificial receptors on cancer cell surface for imaging, drug targeting and delivery显示文摘The current targeting drug delivery mainly relies on cancer cell surface receptors. However,in many cases, binding affinities between protein receptors and homing ligands is relatively low and the expression level between cancer and normal cells is not significant.Distinct from conventional targeting strategies,we have developed a general cancer targeting platform by building artificial receptor on cancer cell surface via a chemical remodeling of cell surface glycans.A new tetrazine(Tz)functionalized chemical receptor has been designed and efficiently installed on cancer cell surface as“overexpressed”biomarker through a metabolic glycan engineering.Different from the reported bioconjugation for drug targeting, the tetrazine labeled cancer cells not only locally activate TCO-caged prodrugs but also release active drugs via the unique bioorthogonal Tz-TCO click-release reaction. The studies have demonstrated that the new drug targeting strategy enables local activation of prodrug, which ultimately leads to effective and safe cancer therapy. | Jing Chen Peng Ji Giri Gnawali Mengyang Chang Feng Gao Hang Xu Wei Wang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,6: | 1
Velocity structure and radial anisotropy beneath the northeastern Tibetan Plateau revealed by eikonal equation-based teleseismic P-wave traveltime tomography显示文摘The northeastern Tibetan Plateau serves as the frontier for the northeastward expansion of the plateau. In this area, the Tibetan Plateau interacts with the surrounding blocks, such as the Alxa Block, the Ordos Block, the Kunlun-West Qinling belt and the Sichuan Basin.Because of this expansion and interaction, this area suffers from intense deformation. At present, the evolution and deformation mechanisms of the northeastern Tibetan Plateau remain controversial. To provide new insights into these mechanisms,in this study,we conduct tomography of the P-wave velocity and radial anisotropy structures beneath the northeastern Tibetan Plateau. We choose a total of 667 teleseismic earthquakes from August 2006 to October 2020.Waveforms of these earthquakes were recorded by 921 broadband seismic stations in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau and surrounding areas. We first perform cross-correlation on waveforms of each station pair and obtain 770,749 P-wave traveltime differences. Then,we invert the differential traveltime data by applying eikonal equation-based teleseismic tomography. Finally, the P-wave velocity and radial anisotropy structures at depths from 30 to 800 km below the northeastern Tibetan Plateau are obtained. Our tomographic model shows clear low-velocity anomalies and positive radial anisotropy in the lower crust under the northeastern Qilian orogen, the northeastern Songpan-Ganzi belt and the western Qinling fold zone. These features are integrated to demonstrate the existence of lower crustal flow in the study area.Prominent low-velocity anomalies and positive radial anisotropy are found in the uppermost mantle beneath the Qilian orogen, the northeastern Songpan-Ganzi belt and western Qinling fold zone. These characteristics are combined to infer a weak lithosphere and horizontal asthenospheric flow under these tectonic units. Both the Ordos Block and the Sichuan Basin exhibit clear high-velocity anomalies and negative radial anisotropy in the uppermost mantle, thereby reflecting the high mechanical strength of the lithosphere beneath these blocks.High-velocity anomalies are also present in the upper mantle under the northern Chuandian block, potentially implying the northward subduction of the Indian plate.Furthermore, the front of the subducted Indian plate is imaged close to the Xianshuihe fault rather than the Kunlun fault. | Mengyang LI Shaolin LIU Dinghui YANG Xiwei XU Wenhao SHEN Chaodi XIE Wenshuai WANG Shuxin YANG | 2022 | Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,5: | 1
Anion-regulation engineering toward Cu/In/MOF bimetallic electrocatalysts for selective electrochemical reduction of CO_(2) to CO/formate显示文摘The conversion of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))into high-value added energy fuels and chemicals(CO,formate,C_(2)H_(4),etc.)through electrochemical reduction(eCO_(2)R)is a promising avenue to sustainable development. However, low selectivity, barren activity and poor stability of the electrodes hinder the large-scale application of eCO_(2)R.Herein,we reported a copper-indium-organic-framework(CuIn-MOF)based high-performance catalyst for eCO_(2)R.Elec-trochemical measurement results reveal that CuIn-MOF exhibits high Faradaic efficiency(FE)of CO and formate(300 mV,FE_(CO)=78.6%at-0.86 V vs.RHE,FE_(HCOO^(-))=48.4%at-1.16 V vs.RHE,respectively)in a broad range of current density(20.1–88.4 mA cm^(-2))with long-term stability(6 h)for eCO_(2)R in 0.5 M KHCO_(3)electrolyte solution.Specifically, through anion-regulation engineering,SO_(4)^(2-)anion precursor is more beneficial for the formic acid generation than NO_(3)^(-)anion precursor;while for SO_(4)^(2-)anion precursor,Cu plays a positive regulating role in eCO_(2)R to CO compared to In.Additionally, the high performance in a home-made eCO_(2)R reactor derives benefit from enhanced intrinsic activity and charge re-distribution can be attributed to the formation of In-doped Cu layer. | Bingqing Xu Israr Masood Ul Hasan Luwei Peng Junyu Liu Nengneng Xu Mengyang Fan Nabeel Khan Niazi Jinli Qiao | 2022 | Materials Reports(Energy)2022,2,3: | 1
Construction of a high-density mutant population of Chinese cabbage facilitates the genetic dissection of agronomic traits显示文摘Chinese cabbage(Brassica rapa ssp.pekinensis)is an economically important vegetable crop throughout the world, especially in Asia.High-quality genome sequences are available for Chinese cabbage, but gene functional studies remain challenging. To promote functional genomic studies of Chinese cabbage,we generated an ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS)mutant population of~8000 M_(2) plants using the double haploid inbred line A03 as the parent. The genome of A03 was sequenced and used as a reference for high-throughput functional characterization of gene mutations at the whole-genome level.A total of 300 M_(2) to M_(5) EMS mutants were phenotypically screened and then sequenced, revealing 750629 SNPs and 46272 InDel mutations that cover 98.27%of all predicted genes in the A03 genome.A forward-genetics approach was successfully used to identify two genes with chloroplast-related functions that are responsible for the yellow leaf mutant trait.A reverse-genetics approach was also used to identify associations between mutations in five genes of the glucosinolate biosynthetic pathway and variations in glucosinolate content of the mutant plants. In addition,we built the Chinese cabbage EMS mutation database(CCEMD,www.bioinformaticslab.cn/EMSmutation/home)to increase the usability of this mutant population resource. In summary,we performed large-scale screening of a heading Chinese cabbage EMS mutant collection at the phenotypic and genotypic levels, which will facilitate gene mining of Chinese cabbage and might also be useful for the study of other Brassica crops. | Xiaoxue Sun Xing Li Yin Lu Shan Wang Xiaomeng Zhang Kang Zhang Xiangjie Su Mengyang Liu Daling Feng Shuangxia Luo Aixia Gu Yu Fu Xueping Chen Shuxin Xuan Yanhua Wang Donghui Xu Shumin Chen Wei Ma Shuxing Shen Feng Cheng Jianjun Zhao | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,5: | 1
A review of the influencing factors on teleseismic traveltime tomography显示文摘Teleseismic traveltime tomography is an important tool for investigating the crust and mantle structure of the Earth. The imaging quality of teleseismic traveltime tomography is affected by many factors, such as mantle heterogeneities, source uncertainties and random noise. Many previous studies have investigated these factors separately. An integral study of these factors is absent. To provide some guidelines for teleseismic traveltime tomography,we discussed four main influencing factors:the method for measuring relative traveltime differences, the presence of mantle heterogeneities outside the imaging domain, station spacing and uncertainties in teleseismic event hypocenters.Four conclusions can be drawn based on our analysis.(1)Comparing two methods,i.e.,measuring the traveltime difference between two adjacent stations(M1)and subtracting the average traveltime of all stations from the traveltime of one station(M2),reveals that both M1 and M2 can well image the main structures;while M1 is able to achieve a slightly higher resolution than M2;M2 has the advantage of imaging long wavelength structures. In practical teleseismic traveltime tomography, better tomography results can be achieved by a two-step inversion method.(2)Global mantle heterogeneities can cause large traveltime residuals(up to about 0.55 s),which leads to evident imaging artifacts.(3)The tomographic accuracy and resolution of M1 decrease with increasing station spacing when measuring the relative traveltime difference between two adjacent stations.(4)The traveltime anomalies caused by the source uncertainties are generally less than 0.2 s,and the impact of source uncertainties is negligible. | Yang Pan Shaolin Liu Dinghui Yang Wenshuai Wang Xiwei Xu Wenhao Shen Mengyang Li | 2023 | Earthquake Science2023,36,3: | 0
Molecular surface functionalization of In_(2)O_(3) to tune interfacial microenvironment for enhanced catalytic performance of CO_(2) electroreduction显示文摘Indium-based materials(e.g.,In_(2)O_(3))are a class of promising non-noble metal-based catalysts for electroreduction of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)).However,competitive hydrogen reduction reaction(HER)on indium-based catalysts hampers CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)process.We herein tune the interfacial microenvironment of In_(2)O_(3) through chemical graft of alkyl phosphoric acid molecules using a facile solution-processed strategy for the first time, which is distinguished from other researches that tailor intrinsic activity of In_(2)O_(3) themselves. The surface functionalization of alkyl phosphoric acids over In_(2)O_(3) is demonstrated to remarkably boost CO_(2) conversion. For example, octadecylphosphonic acid modified In_(2)O_(3) exhibits Faraday efficiency for H_(2) H_(2) H_(2)(FE)of as low as 6.6%and FEHCOOH of 86.5%at-0.67 V vs.RHE,which are far superior to parent In_(2)O_(3) counterparts(FE of 24.0%and FEHCOOH of 63.1%).Moreover,the enhancing effect of alkyl phosphoric acid functionalization is found to be closely related to the length of alkyl chains.By virtue of comprehensive experimental characterizations and molecular dynamics simulations,it is revealed that the modification of alkyl phosphoric acids significantly alters the interface microenvironment of the electrocatalyst, which changes the electrocatalyst surface from hydrophilic and aerophobic to hydrophobic and aerophilic. In this case, the water molecules are pushed away and more CO_(2) molecules are trapped, increasing local CO_(2) concentration at In_(2)O_(3) active sites, thus leading to the significantly enhanced CO_(2)RR and suppressed HER.This work highlights the importance of regulating the interfacial microenvironment of inorganic catalysts by molecular surface functionalization as a means for promoting the electrochemical performance in electrosynthesis and beyond. | Suwen WangQiang GaoCui Xu Shuai Jiang Mengyang Zhang Xianjun Yin Hui-Qing Peng Bin Liu Yu-Fei Song | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,3: | 0

The complete and fully-phased diploid genome of a male Han Chinese显示文摘Since the release of the complete human genome, the priority of human genomic study has now been shifting towards closing gaps in ethnic diversity. Here,we present a fully phased and well-annotated diploid human genome from a Han Chinese male individual(CN1),in which the assemblies of both haploids achieve the telomere-to-telomere(T2T)level.Comparison of this diploid genome with the CHM13 haploid T2T genome revealed significant variations in the centromere.Outside the centromere,we discovered 11,413 structural variations, including numerous novel ones.We also detected thousands of CN1 alleles that have accumulated high substitution rates and a few that have been under positive selection in the East Asian population.Further,we found that CN1 outperforms CHM13 as a reference genome in mapping and variant calling for the East Asian population owing to the distinct structural variants of the two references.Comparison of SNP calling for a large cohort of 8869 Chinese genomes using CN1 and CHM13 as reference respectively showed that the reference bias profoundly impacts rare SNP calling, with nearly 2 million rare SNPs miss-called with different reference genomes. Finally, applying the CN1 as a reference,we discovered 5.80 Mb and 4.21 Mb putative introgression sequences from Neanderthal and Denisovan, respectively, including many East Asian specific ones undetected using CHM13 as the reference. Our analyses reveal the advances of using CN1 as a reference for population genomic studies and paleo-genomic studies. This complete genome will serve as an alternative reference for future genomic studies on the East Asian population. | Chentao Yang Yang Zhou Yanni Song Dongya Wu Yan Zeng Lei Nie Panhong Liu Shilong Zhang Guangji Chen Jinjin Xu Hongling Zhou Long Zhou Xiaobo Qian Chenlu Liu Shangjin Tan Chengran Zhou Wei Dai Mengyang Xu Yanwei Qi Xiaobo Wang Lidong Guo Guangyi Fan Aijun Wang Yuan Deng Yong Zhang Jiazheng Jin Yunqiu He Chunxue Guo Guoji Guo Qing Zhou Xun Xu Huanming Yang Jian Wang Shuhua Xu Yafei Mao Xin Jin Jue Ruan Guojie Zhang | 2023 | Cell Research2023,33,10: | 0

VT3D:a visualization toolbox for 3D transcriptomic data显示文摘Data visualization empowers researchers to communicate their results that support scientific reasoning in an intuitive way.Three-dimension(3D)spatially resolved transcriptomic atlases constructed from multi-view and high-dimensional data have rapidly emerged as a powerful tool to unravel spatial gene expression patterns and cell type distribution in biological samples, revolutionizing the understanding of gene regulatory interactions and cell niches. However, limited accessible tools for data visualization impede the potential impact and application of this technology. Here we introduce VT3D,a visualization toolbox that allows users to explore 3D transcriptomic data, enabling gene expression projection to any 2D plane of interest,2D virtual slice creation and visualization, and interactive 3D data browsing with surface model plots. In addition,it can either work on personal devices in standalone mode or be hosted as a web-based server. We apply VT3D to multiple datasets produced by the most popular techniques, including both sequencing-based approaches(Stereo-seq,spatial transcriptomics, and Slide-seq)and imaging-based approaches(MERFISH and STARMap),and successfully build a 3D atlas database that allows interactive data browsing. We demonstrate that VT3D bridges the gap between researchers and spatially resolved transcriptomics, thus accelerating related studies such as embryogenesis and organogenesis processes. The source code of VT3D is available at https://github.com/BGI-Qingdao/VT3D,and the modeled atlas database is available at http://www.bgiocean.com/vt3d_example. | Lidong Guo Yao Li Yanwei Qi Zhi Huang Kai Han Xiaobin Liu Xin Liu Mengyang Xu Guangyi Fan | 2023 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2023,50,9: | 0
Raman imaging analysis of intracellular biothiols independent of the aggregation of sensing substrates显示文摘The content of biothiols in cells is highly associated with the occurrence and development of several diseases. However, due to their active chemical properties,thiol-contained molecules are normally volatile during the detection process, rendering precise analysis of intracellular biothiols challenging. In this study,5,5’-dithiobis-(2-nitrobenzoic acid)(DTNB)is covalently modified on the surface of gold nanorods(AuNRs),constructing sensing substrates for in situ Raman imaging analysis of biothiols in cells.Au NRs are able to serve as ideal surface-enhanced Raman scattering substrates, and thus Raman signals of DTNB are greatly amplified by AuNRs.Meanwhile, the disulfide bond of DTNB can be broken by thiols, thereby releasing part of DTNB from the surface of AuNRs.As a result, three kinds of main biothiols are sensitively quantified with DTNB-modified AuNRs according to the variation of Raman signals, and DTNB-modified Au NRs exhibit far better analytical performance than a commercial probe. In addition, the sensing substrates can be readily delivered to cytoplasm with the transmembrane of Au NRs,and are capable of responding to biothiols in cells.Notably, the Raman approach is established by the breaking of chemical bonds rather than the aggregation of substrates, which is more inclined to analyze intracellular biothiols with a desirable spatial resolution. Therefore, fluctuation of biothiols in glioma cells is evidently observed via Raman imaging.Overall, this work provides an alternative strategy for designing Raman sensors to visualize active molecules in cells. | Min Zhang Zijun Li Mengyang Zhang Hang Heng Shiying Xu Zhaoyin Wang Zhihui Dai | 2023 | Science China Chemistry2023,66,8: | 0
