1Expenditure of hospital care on cancer in China, from 2011 to 2015显示文摘Objective: A solid understanding of levels and trends of spending on cancer is important to evaluate whether our healthcare resources were wisely spent and to prioritize future resources for cancer treatment and prevention.However, studies on economic burden of cancers in China are scant and the results are inconsistent.Methods: The Chinese hospital information database and nearly 350 million inpatient medical record data were used. As the ratios of cancer inpatient payments to total inpatient payments were mainly influenced by the grades and sites of hospitals, the estimates of payments of cancer inpatients in this study were stratified by hospital grades and provinces. Only the payments of cancer inpatients happened in grade 2, grade 3 and specialized cancer hospitals were included in the analyses. The total medical payments of cancers in China were estimated based on the ratios of outpatient payments to inpatient payments in specialized cancer hospitals.Results: From 2011 to 2015, the payments of cancer inpatients in China have increased by 84.1% and the total inpatient payments reached 177.1 billion RMB in 2015, accounting for 4.3% of the total health expenditure in China. Based on the ratio of outpatient payments to inpatient payments, the total payments on cancer treatments in China were estimated to be 221.4 billion RMB in 2015. Among different cancer types, the highest payments were the treatment of trachea, bronchus and lung cancer. The major cancer inpatient payments(67.1% in 2015) spent in grade 3 general hospitals and this ratio increased continually from 2011 to 2015. The expenditure of cancer treatments also varies by region with the major expenditure in the eastern region of China.Conclusions: This study estimated the total payments of cancer treatments in China and analyzed how the money was spent on cancer treatments in the recent 5 years, which would provide information for decision makings on the allocation of resources to service provisioning, prevention strategies, research funding, and assessing whether the economic burden of cancer is affordable to the governments.Yue Cai Ming Xue Wanqing Chen Maogui Hu Zhiwen Miao Lan Lan Rongshou Zheng Qun Meng 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,3:81
2Zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating of meta-diorite from the basement of the Songliao Basin and its geological significance显示文摘The basement of the Songliao Basin mainly contains low-grade metamorphic rocks and granites. It has been long disputed whether the basin has Precambrian metamorphic basement. This is a report of zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating results of a meta-diorite sample, which was taken from the Si-5 drilling hole in the southern portion of the Songliao Basin. The SHRIMP analyses indicate that the meta-diorite with a weighted mean 207Pb/206Pb age of 1839±7 Ma (2σ, n = 8) was emplaced during Paleo-Proterozoic time. Additionally, the meta-diorite has old Nd model ages (TDM1: 2999Ma; TDM2: 2849Ma). 3Unequal-thickness billet optimization in transitional region during isothermal local loading forming of Ti-alloy rib-web component using response surface method显示文摘Avoiding the folding defect and improving the die filling capability in the transitional region are desired in isothermal local loading forming of a large-scale Ti-alloy rib-web component(LTRC). To achieve a high-precision LTRC, the folding evolution and die filling process in the transitional region were investigated by 3 D finite element simulation and experiment using an equal-thickness billet(ETB). It is found that the initial volume distribution in the second-loading region can greatly affect the amount of material transferred into the first-loading region during the second-loading step, and thus lead to the folding defect. Besides, an improper initial volume distribution results in non-concurrent die filling in the cavities of ribs after the second-loading step, and then causes die underfilling. To this end, an unequal-thickness billet(UTB) was employed with the initial volume distribution optimized by the response surface method(RSM). For a certain eigenstructure, the critical value of the percentage of transferred material determined by the ETB was taken as a constraint condition for avoiding the folding defect in the UTB optimization process,and the die underfilling rate was considered as the optimization objective. Then, based on the RSM models of the percentage of transferred material and the die underfilling rate, non-folding parameter combinations and optimum die filling were achieved. 4Plasma microRNAs as potential new biomarkers for early detection of early gastric cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND Early gastric cancer(EGC), compared with advanced gastric cancer(AGC), has a higher 5-year survival rate. However, due to the lack of typical symptoms and the difficulty in diagnosing EGC, no effective biomarkers exist for the detection of EGC, and gastroscopy is the only detection method.AIM To provide new biomarkers with high specificity and sensitivity through analyzed the differentially expressed microRNAs(miRNAs) in EGC and AGC and compared them with those in benign gastritis(BG).METHODSWe examined the differentially expressed miRNAs in the plasma of 30 patients with EGC, AGC, and BG by miRNA chip analysis. Then, we analyzed and selected the significantly different miRNAs using bioinformatics. Reverse transcription quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)confirmed the relative transcription level of these miRNAs in another 122 patients, including patients with EGC, AGC, Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori)-negative gastritis(Control-1), and H. pylori-positive atrophic gastritis(Control-2).To establish a diagnostic model for the detection of plasma miRNA in EGC, we chose miRNAs that can be used to determine EGC and AGC from Control-1 and Control-2 and miRNAs in EGC from all other groups.RESULTS Among the expression profiles of the miRNA chips in the three groups in the discovery set, of 117 aberrantly expressed miRNAs, 30 confirmed target prediction, whereas 14 were included as potential miRNAs. The RT-qPCR results showed that 14 potential miRNAs expression profiles in the two groups exhibited no differences in terms of H. pylori-negative gastritis(Control-1) and H. pyloripositive atrophic gastritis(Control-2). Hence, these two groups were incorporated into the Control group. A combination of four types of miRNAs,miR-7641, miR-425-5 p, miR-1180-3 p and miR-122-5 p, were used to effectively distinguish the Cancer group(EGC + AGC) from the Control group [area under the curve(AUC) = 0.799, 95% confidence interval(CI): 0.691-0.908, P < 0.001].Additionally, miR-425-5 p, miR-24-3 p, miR-1180-3 p and miR-122-5 p were utilized to distinguish EGC from the Control group(AUC = 0.829, 95%CI: 0.657-1.000, P =0.001). Moreover, the miR-24-3 p expression level in EGC was lower than that in the AGC(AUC = 0.782, 95%CI: 0.571-0.993, P = 0.029), and the miR-4632-5 p expression level in EGC was significantly higher than that in AGC(AUC = 0.791,95%CI: 0.574-1.000, P = 0.024).CONCLUSION The differentially expressed circulatory plasma miR-425-5 p, miR-1180-3 p, miR-122-5 p, miR-24-3 p and miR-4632-5 p can be regarded as a new potential biomarker panel for the diagnosis of EGC. The prediction and early diagnosis of EGC can be considerably facilitated by combining gastroscopy with the use of these miRNA biomarkers, thereby optimizing the strategy for effective detection of EGC. 5Essential roles of exosome and circRNA_101093 on ferroptosis desensitization in lung adenocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Resistance to ferroptosis,a regulated cell death caused by irondependent excessive accumulation of lipid peroxides,has recently been linked to lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD).Intracellular antioxidant systems are required for protection against ferroptosis.The purpose of the present studywas to investigate whether and how extracellular system desensitizes LUAD cells to ferroptosis.Methods:Established human lung fibroblasts MRC-5,WI38,and human LUAD H1650,PC9,H1975,H358,A549,and H1299 cell lines,tumor and matched normal adjacent tissues of LUAD,and plasma from healthy individuals and LUAD patients were used in this study.Immunohistochemistry and immunoblotting were used to analyze protein expression,and quantitative reverse transcription-PCR was used to analyze mRNA expression.Cell viability,cell death,and the lipid reactive oxygen species generationwere measured to evaluate the responses to ferroptosis.Exosomes were observed using transmission electron microscope.The localization of arachidonic acid(AA)was detected using click chemistry labeling followed by confocal microscopy.Interactions between RNAs and proteins were detected using RNA pull-down,RNA immunoprecipitation and photoactivatable ribonucleoside-enhanced crosslinking and immunoprecipitation methods.Proteomic analysis was used to investigate RNA-regulated proteins,and metabolomic analysis was performed to analyze metabolites.Cellderived xenograft,patient-derived xenograft,cell-implanted intrapulmonary LUAD mouse models and plasma/tissue specimens from LUAD patients were used to validate the molecular mechanism.Results:Plasma exosome from LUAD patients specifically reduced lipid peroxidation and desensitized LUAD cells to ferroptosis.A potential explanation is that exosomal circRNA_101093(cir93)maintained an elevation in intracellular cir93 in LUAD to modulate AA,a poly-unsaturated fatty acid critical for ferroptosisassociated increased peroxidation in the plasma membrane.Mechanistically,cir93 interacted with and increased fatty acid-binding protein 3(FABP3),which transported AA and facilitated its reaction with taurine.Thus,global AA was reduced,whereas N-arachidonoyl taurine(NAT,the product of AA and taurine)was induced.Notably,the role of NAT in suppressing AA incorporation into the plasma membrane was also revealed.In pre-clinical in vivo models,reducing exosome improved ferroptosis-based treatment.Conclusion:Exosome and cir93 are essential for desensitizing LUAD cells to ferroptosis,and blocking exosome may be helpful for future LUAD treatment.Xiao Zhang Yunhua Xu Lifang Ma Keke Yu Yongjie Niu Xin Xu Yi Shi Susu Guo Xiangfei Xue Yikun Wang Shiyu Qiu Jiangtao Cui Hong Wang Xiaoting Tian Yayou Miao Fanyu Meng Yongxia Qiao Yongchun Yu Jiayi Wang 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,4:10
6Construction and stability of an extra-large section chamber in solid backfill mining显示文摘In solid backfill mining without gangue removal, the gangue is separated directly underground and backfilled into goaf. This necessitates the underground construction of an extra-large section chamber for separation equipments. For the construction of an extra-large section chamber in the Tangshan mine, we proposed an active support through a combination of bolting, anchor cables, lining, and a reinforced chamber floor by inverted arch pouring. ABAQUS software was used to analyze the surrounding rock deformation and the plastic zone development of the chamber under different excavation schemes.The best excavation scheme was determined, and the effectiveness of the combined supports was verified. 7Enhanced aromatic selectivity by the sheet-like ZSM-5 in syngas conversion显示文摘Aromatics are important basic chemicals. However, direct conversion of syngas via the conventional Fischer-Tropsch synthesis produces little aromatics. We presented herein that a bifunctional composite of ZSM-5 in combination with Zn Cr Oxcatalyzes syngas conversion to aromatics. Particularly, ZSM-5 crystals with a sheet-like morphology can enhance significantly the aromatization activity. The lower length ratio of the b/a axes of the crystals, the more aromatics form but without influencing the selectivity of small molecules such as CH4 and C2–C4. 9Investigation into co-pyrolysis characteristics of oil shale and coal显示文摘Samples of five types of coal and oil shale from the Daqing region have been subjected to co-pyrolysis in different blending ratios with thermo-gravimetry(TG),given a heating rate of 30 °C/min to a final temperature of 900 °C.Investigations on pyrolysis of mixing coal and oil shale in different proportions were carried out,indicating that the main scope of weight loss corresponding to hydrocarbon oil and gas release was between 350 and 550 °C.At higher temperatures,significant weight loss was attributed to coke decomposition.Characteristic pyrolysis parameters of blends from oil shale and the high ranked XZ coal varied with the blending ratio,but oil shale dominated the process.At the same blending proportions,highly volatile medium and low ranked coal of low moisture and ash content reacted well during pyrolysis and could easily create synergies with oil shale.Medium and high ranked coal with high moisture content played a negative role in co-pyrolysis.Miao Zhenyong Wu Guoguang Li Ping Meng Xianliang Zheng Zhilei 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2:9

13Pulsed radiofrequency inhibits expression of P2X3 receptors and alleviates neuropathic pain induced by chronic constriction injury in rats显示文摘Background:Pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) is a minimally invasive interventional technique that provides a novel and effective treatment strategy for neuropathic pain (NP).PRF is advantageous because it does not damage nerves and avoids sensory loss after treatment.At present,animal studies have demonstrated that PRF is safe and effective for relieving the NP associated with sciatic nerve damage in rats with chronic constriction injury (CCI).However,the mechanism through which this effect occurs is unknown.An increasing body of evidence shows that the expression of the P2X ligand-gated ion channel 3 (P2X3) receptor is closely related to NP;this study was to investigate whether the expression of this receptor is involved in NP relief due to PRF.Methods:A total of 36 healthy adult male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into three groups:Sham group,CCI group,and PRF group.The right sciatic nerve was ligated in CCI group and PRF group to establish a CCI model;the right sciatic nerve was separated but not ligated in Sham group.On day 14 after the operation,PRF was administered to the ligated sciatic nerve in PRF group (42℃,45 V,2 min).A non-live electrode was placed at the exposed sciatic nerve for the rats in Sham and CCI groups.The hindpaw withdrawal threshold (HWT) and thermal withdrawal latency (TWL) were measured at the right hindpaw at different time points before and after PRF or sham therapy.On day 28 after treatment,the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) and spinal dorsal horn of the right L4-6 were harvested from each group to determine the mRNA and protein levels of the P2X3 receptor.Results:On day 28 after PRF treatment,the HWT (8.33 ± 0.67 g vs.3.62 ± 0.48 g) and TWL (25.42 ± 1.90 s vs.15.10 ± 1.71 s) were significantly higher in PRF group as compared to CCI group (P < 0.05).The mRNA expression of the P2X3 receptor in the DRG in PRF group was 23.7% lower than that in CCI group (P < 0.05),in the spinal dorsal horns in PRF group was 22.7% lower than that in CCI group (P < 0.05).The protein expression of the P2X3 receptor in the DRG in PRF group was 27.8 % lower than that in CCI group (P < 0.05),in the spinal dorsal horns in PRF group was 35.6% lower than that in CCI group (P < 0.05).Conclusion:PRF possibly reduces NP in CCI rats by inhibiting the expression of the P2X3 receptor in the L4-6 DRG and spinal dorsal horns.Miao Fu Lan Meng Hao Ren Fang Luo 2019Chinese Medical Journal2019,,14:8
14Shear strength of frozen clay under freezing-thawing cycles using triaxial tests显示文摘Using a new low-temperature dynamic triaxial apparatus, the influence law of freezing-thawing cycles on clay shear strength is studied. In this research, the concept of correction coefficients of freezing-thawing cycles on clay static strength, cohesion and internal friction angles is proposed, and the change patterns, correction curves and regressive formulae of clay static strength, cohesion and internal friction angles under freezing-thawing cycles are given. The test results indicate that with increasing numbers of freezing-thawing cycles, the clay static strength and cohesion decrease exponentially but the internal friction angle increases exponentially. The performance of static strength, cohesion and internal friction angles are different with increasing numbers of freezing-thawing cycles, i.e., the static strength decreases constantly until about 30% of the initial static strength prior to the freezing-thawing cycling and then stays basically stable. After 5-7 freezing-thawing cycles, the cohesion decreases gradually to about 70% of the initial cohesion. The internal friction angle increases about 20% after the first freezing-thawing cycle, then increases gradually close to a stable value which is an increase of about 40% of the internal friction angle. 15Construction of a macromolecular structural model of Chinese lignite and analysis of its low-temperature oxidation behavior显示文摘The aim of this paper is to analyze the change in the active structure of lignite during the process of lowtemperature oxidation by constructing a molecular structure model for lignite. Using quantum computation combined with experimental results of proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), a structural model for the large molecular structure was constructed. By analyzing the bond lengths in the model molecule, the evolution law for the active structure of lignite was predicted for the process of low-temperature oxidation. In low-temperature oxidation,alkanes and hydroxyls are the primary active structures observed in lignite, though ether may also react. These active functional groups react with oxygen to release heat, thereby speeding up the reaction between coal and oxygen. 17Metabolism and disposition of pyrotinib in healthy male volunteers: covalent binding with human plasma protein显示文摘Pyrotinib is a novel irreversible EGFR/HER2 dual tyrosine kinase inhibitor that is used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer. In this study we investigated the metabolism and disposition of pyrotinib in six healthy Chinese men after a single oral dose of 402?mg of [14C]pyrotinib. At 240?h postdose, the mean cumulative excretion of the dose radioactivity was 92.6%, including 1.7% in urine and 90.9% in feces. In feces, oxidative metabolites were detected as major drug-related materials and the primary metabolic pathways were O-depicoline (M1), oxidation of pyrrolidine (M5), and oxidation of pyridine (M6-1, M6-2, M6-3, and M6-4). In plasma, the major circulating entities identified were pyrotinib, SHR150980 (M1), SHR151468 (M2), and SHR151136 (M5), accounting for 10.9%, 1.9%, 1.0%, and 3.0%, respectively, of the total plasma radioactivity based on the AUC0–∞ ratios. Approximately 58.3% of the total plasma radioactivity AUC0–∞ was attributed to covalently bound materials. After incubation of human plasma with [14C]pyrotinib at 37?°C for 2, 5, 8, and 24?h, the recovery of radioactivity by extraction was 97.4%, 91.8%, 69.6%, and 46.7%, respectively, revealing covalent binding occurred independently of enzymes. A group of pyrotinib adducts, including pyrotinib-lysine and pyrotinib adducts of the peptides Gly-Lys, Lys-Ala, Gly-Lys-Ala, and Lys-Ala-Ser, was identified after HCl hydrolysis of the incubated plasma. Therefore, the amino acid residue Lys190 of human serum albumin was proposed to covalently bind to pyrotinib via Michael addition. 19Pretreatment with scutellaria baicalensis stem-leaf total flavonoid protects against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in hippocampal neurons显示文摘Previous experimental studies have shown that cerebral infarction can be effectively reduced following treatment with scutellaria baicalensis stem-leaf total flavonoid(SSTF). However, the mechanism of action of SSTF as a preventive drug to treat cerebral infarction remains unclear. In this study, Sprague-Dawley rats were pretreated with 50, 100, 200 mg/kg SSTF via intragastric administration for 1 week prior to the establishment of focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. The results showed that pretreatment with SSTF effectively improved neurological function, reduced brain water content and the permeability of blood vessels, ameliorated ischemia-induced morphology changes in hippocampal microvessels, down-regulated Fas and Fas L protein expression, elevated the activity of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase, and decreased malondialdehyde content. In contrast to low-dose SSTF pretreatment, the above changes were most obvious after pretreatment with moderate- and high-doses of SSTF. Experimental findings indicate that SSTF pretreatment can exert protective effects on the brain against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. 20Fracture mechanics model of fully mechanized top coal caving of shallow coal seams and its application显示文摘Based on break characteristics of roofs in fully mechanized top-coal mining of thick shallow coal seams, a fracture mechanics model was built, and the criterion of crack propagation in the main roof was derived using the fracture mechanics theory. The relationships between the fracture length of the roof and the working resistance of the supports were discovered, and the correlations between the load on the overlying strata and the ratio of the crack's length to the thickness of the roof were obtained. Using a working face of Jindi Coal Mine, Xing county Shanxi province as an example, the relationships between the fracture length of the roof and the working resistance of the supports were analysed in detail. The results give a design basis in hydraulic top coal caving supports, which could provide useful references in the practical application. On-site experiment proves that the periodic weighting step interval of the caving face is 15–16 m, which is basically consistent with the theoretical analysis results, and indicates that the mechanized caving hydraulic support is capable of meeting the support requirements in the mining of a super-thick but shallowly buried coal seam.Zhang Jiangong Miao Xiexing Huang Yanli Li Meng 2014International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,3:6
