| 1 | Chinese Stroke Center Alliance:a national effort to improve healthcare quality for acute stroke and transient ischaemic attack:rationale,design and preliminary findings显示文摘Background In June 2015,the Chinese Stroke Association(CSA)initiated the Chinese Stroke Center Alliance(CSCA)to establish the national hospital-based stroke care quality assessment and improvement platform.This article outlines its objectives,operational structure,patient population,quality improvement(QI)intervention tools,data elements,data collection methodology and current patient and hospital data.Methods The CSCA is a national,hospital-based,multicentre,voluntary,multifaceted intervention and continuous QI initiative.This multifaceted intervention includes stroke centre development,written care protocols,workshops and a monitoring/feedback system of evidencebased performance measures.The data coordinating centre of the CSCA resides at the China National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases,Beijing Tiantan Hospital.results As of July 2017,1576 hospitals in China have contributed detailed clinical information to serve as a benchmark for the stroke care quality of 433264 patients with acute stroke/transient ischaemic attacks(TIA),including 352572(81.38%)acute ischaemic stroke,30362(7.01%)TIA,42080(9.71%)spontaneous intracranial haemorrhage,5505(1.27%)subarachnoid haemorrhage and 2745(0.63%)not specified stroke.Conclusion The CSCA programme is designed to establish a continuous national stroke registry and help healthcare providers develop stroke centres and treat patients in a consistent manner in accordance with accepted national guidelines and,ultimately,improve patient outcomes.It supports the CSA mission to reduce stroke burden in China. | Yongjun Wang Zixiao Li Yilong Wang Xingquan Zhao Liping Liu Xin Yang Caiyun Wang Hongqiu Gu Fuying Zhang Chunjuan Wang Ying Xian David Z Wang Qiang Dong Anding Xu Jizong Zhao Chinese Stroke Center Alliance investigators | 2018 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,4: | 38 |

| 5 | Turbidite and bottom-current evolution revealed by anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility of redox sediments in the Ulleung Basin,Sea of Japan显示文摘Anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility(AMS) from above and below 7.31 m in a core from the southern Ulleung Basin shows clear differences on an equal area projection of the lower hemisphere.Rather concentrated steep inclination of K 3 and horizontal inclination of K 1 and K 2(K1 ≥K2 ≥K3) are located within the upper part,and the latter two axes lie perpendicular to each other near the bedding plane.In contrast,random distribution of the three axes and extremely high value of shape parameters(Q=(K1-K2)/[(K1+K2)/2-K3]) are evident in the lower part,indicating complete destruction of the original sedimentary structure.This result is consistent with data from X-radiographs,which show numerous conglomerates,distortions and cleavages in the lower part.According to age models by Liu et al.(2010) and Zou et al.(2010),the bottom age at 7.31 m is 48 cal ka BP,and the time domain is discussed below.The degree of AMS(P) is low,1-1.08,and linearly related to the foliation(F)(R2 =0.95,N=176).The relationship between F and linearity(L) implies oblate aligning patterns that are typically sedimentary in origin.At least five redox couplets were found with the aid of S ratios and other rock magnetic parameters,and in most cases,the original signals of climate survived early diagenesis.The paleomagnetically reoriented AMS show corresponding changes with millennial events in the last 48 cal ka.Clearly tilted K 3 directions and reduction of P and F occurred within DO1-BA warm events,when melt water pulse 1A nd the YD cold event took place.The turbulent conditions therein,synchronous with coarsening of sediments,provide evidence of strong bottom currents and possible directional changes,as evidenced by different K3 tilting directions.A NE current direction in the last 4.5 cal ka is consistent with in situ measurements of bottom currents.Responses of AMS,mainly to climatic modulation,show on the one hand,the limited influence of diagenesis on rock magnetic signals and,on the other hand,the dramatic change of hydrodynamic conditions and terrigenous inputs during rapid sea level rise during the last deglaciation. | GE ShuLan SHI XueFa LIU YanGuang WANG KunShan ZOU JianJun DIAO JingYu ZHU ZhiWei WANG ChunJuan | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,6: | 7 |
| 6 | Predictors of dysphagia screening and pneumonia among patients with acute ischaemic stroke in China:findings from the Chinese Stroke Center Alliance(CSCA)显示文摘Background and purpose Guidelines recommend dysphagia screening to identify those at high risk of pneumonia.However,little is known about the prevalence and predictors of dysphagia screening and pneumonia among patients with acute ischaemic stroke in China.Methods Using data from the Chinese Stroke Center Alliance,which is a multicentre,prospective,consecutive patient enrolment programme,univariate and multivariate analyses were conducted to identify patient and hospital characteristics associated with dysphagia screening and pneumonia during acute hospitalisation.Results Of 790811 patients admitted to 1476 hospitals,622718(78.7%)underwent dysphagia screening,and 64398(8.1%)developed pneumonia.Patients in stroke units were more likely to be screened for dysphagia than those not in stroke units(OR 1.50;95%CI 1.48 to 1.52),while patients with a past history of stroke were less likely to be screened(OR 0.87;95%CI 0.86 to 0.88).Dysphagia screening(OR 1.46;95%CI 1.30 to 1.65),dysphagia(OR 7.31;95%CI 7.15 to 7.46),and admission to stroke units(OR 1.17;95%CI 1.14 to 1.19)were significantly associated with a greater risk of pneumonia.Conclusions Dysphagia was a critical factor in the development of pneumonia.Nearly one in five patients with acute ischaemic stroke in the Chinese Stroke Center Alliance were not screened for dysphagia.Pneumonia prevention during acute hospitalisation is dependent not only on dysphagia screening but also on the effectiveness of subsequent dysphagia management interventions.Further studies are needed to elucidate the relationship between dysphagia screening,stroke unit care and pneumonia in patients with acute ischaemic stroke. | Jianshu Liang Zhike Yin Zixiao Li Hongqiu Gu Kaixuan Yang Yunyun Xiong Yongjun Wang Chunjuan Wang | 2022 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,4: | 5 |
| 7 | FeSe2 clusters with excellent cyclability and rate capabilityfor sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) have great promise for sustainable and economicalenergy-storage applications. Nevertheless, it is a major challenge to developanode materials with high capacity, high rate capability, and excellent cyclingstability for them. In this study, FeSe2 clusters consisting of nanorods weresynthesized by a facile hydrothermal method, and their sodium-storage propertieswere investigated with different electrolytes. The FeSe2 clusters delivered highelectrochemical performance with an ether-based electrolyte in a voltage rangeof 0.5-2.9 V. A high discharge capacity of 515 mAh.g-1 was obtained after 400 cyclesat 1 A.g-1, with a high initial columbic efficiency of 97.4%. Even at an ultrahighrate of 35 A-g-1 a specific capacity of 128 mAh.g-1 was achieved. Using calculations,we revealed that the pseudocapacitance significantly contributed to the sodium-ionstorage, especially at high current rates, leading to a high rate capability. | 8 | Disulfiram thermosensitive in-situ gel based on solid dispersion for cataract显示文摘To improve the corneal permeability and water-solubility of disulfiram(DSF), which is an ocular drug for cataract, P188 was selected as a matrix to prepare solid dispersion of DSF(DSF SD) by hot melt method. The DSF SD was characterized by DSC, XRD, and IR, and the results suggested that DSF was amorphous in DSF SD. The DSF SD was added to borate buffer solution(BBS) contained 20% poloxamer P407 and 1.2% poloxamer P188 to form in-situ gel. In vitro and in vivo experiments revealed that DSF SD combined with in-situ gel(DSF SD/in-situ gel) increased the residence time and the amount of DSF penetrated through the corneal. The pharmacodynamics studies exhibited DSF SD/in-situ gel delayed the development of selenium-induced cataract at some content. | 13 | Mineralogical study of surface sediments in the western Arctic Ocean and their implications for material sources显示文摘Mineralogical analysis was performed on bulk sediments of 79 surface samples using X-ray diffraction. The analytical results, combined with data on ocean currents and the regional geological background, were used to investigate the mineral sources. Mineral assemblages in sediments and their distribution in the study area indicate that the material sources are complex.(1) Feldspar is abundant in the sediments of the middle ChukchiSea near the Bering Strait, originating from sediments in the Anadyr River carried by the Anadyr Current. Sediments deposited on the western side of the ChukchiSea are rich in feldspar. Compared with other areas, sediments in this region are rich in hornblende transported from volcanic and sedimentary rocks in Siberia by the Anadyr Stream and the Siberian Coastal Current. Sediments in the eastern ChukchiSea are rich in quartz sourced from sediments of the Yukon and Kuskokwim rivers carried by the Alaska Coastal Current. Sediments in the northern ChukchiSea are rich in quartz and carbonates from the Mackenzie River sediments.(2) Sediments of the southern and central Canada Basin contain little calcite and dolomite, mainly due to the small impact of the Beaufort Gyre carrying carbonates from the Canadian Arctic Islands. Compared with other areas, the mica content in the region is high, implying that the Laptev Sea is the main sediment source for the southern and central Canada Basin. In the other deep sea areas, calcite and dolomite levels are high caused by the input of large amounts of sediment carried by the Beaufort Gyre from the Canadian Arctic Islands(Banks and Victoria). The Siberian Laptev Sea also provides small amounts of sediment for this region. | 14 | Bio-capped and green synthesis of ZnO/g-C_(3)N_(4) nanocomposites and its improved antibiotic and photocatalytic activities: An exceptional approach towards environmental remediation显示文摘In this research study, we have synthesized the bio-capped ZnO/g-C_(3)N_(4) nanocomposites by employing lemon juice(Citrus limon) as a stabilizer and mediator. Fruitfully, lemon juice which contains various acidic functional groups and citric acid has the capability to block the surface of g-C_(3)N_(4) from chemical reactivity and activated the surface of g-C_(3)N_(4) for various reactions. Consequently, the agglomeration behavior and controlled shape of g-C_(3)N_(4) has also been achieved. Our experimental results i.e. XRD,TEM, HRTEM, PL, FS, XPS, and PEC have confirmed that the lemon juice mediated and green g-C_(3)N_(4)(L-CN) have good performances and remarkable visible light photocatalytic activities as compared to the chemically synthesized g-C_(3)N_(4)(CN). Furthermore, the small surface area and low charge separation of g-C_(3)N_(4) is upgraded by coupling with Zn O nanoparticles. It is proved that the coupling of Zn O worked as a facilitator and photoelectron modulator to enhance the charge separation of g-C_(3)N_(4). Compared to pristine lemon-mediated green g-C_(3)N_(4)(L-CN), the most active sample 5Zn O/L-CN showed ~ 5-fold improvement in activities for ciprofloxacin(CIP) and methylene blue(MB) degradation. More specifically,the mineralization process and degradation pathways, and the mineralization process of ciprofloxacin(CIP) and methylene blue(MB) are suggested.
