1Hierarchical Optimal Power Flow Control for Loss Minimization in Hybrid Multi-terminal HVDC Transmission System显示文摘A hierarchical control scheme is proposed for optimal power flow control to minimize loss in a hybrid multiterminal HVDC(hybrid-MTDC)transmission system.In this scheme,the lower level is the droop control,which enables fast response to power fluctuation and ensures a stable DC voltage,and the upper level is power flow optimization control,which minimizes the losses during the operation of hybrid-MTDC and solves the contradiction between minimizing losses and preventing commutation failure.A 6-terminal hybrid-MTDC is also designed and simulated in PSCAD according to the potential demand of power transmission and wind farms integration in China to verify the proposed control strategy.First,the steady state analysis is conducted and then compared with simulation results.The analysis shows that the proposed control scheme achieves the desired minimum losses while at the same time satisfying system constraints.The proposed control scheme also guarantees that the hybrid-MTDC not only has a good dynamic response,but also remains stable during communication failure.Minxiao Han Dong Xu Lei Wan 2016CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2016,2,1:14
2Effects of hypoxia on survival,behavior,and metabolism of Zhikong scallop Chlamys farreri Jones et Preston 1904显示文摘Hypoxia,a frequent occurring threat in coastal regions,often results in mass mortalities of marine organisms and brings a serious ecological problem.The commercially important Zhikong scallop Chlamys farreri is being under such a threat as the risks of eutrophication and hypoxia have risen in their culture areas.However,little information has been known concerning their tolerance to hypoxia and their strategy for survival.In the present study,a 20-day experiment was conducted to determine the ef fects of hypoxia on the survival,behavior,and metabolism of Zhikong scallop.With the LC_(50)for dissolved oxygen(DO)being estimated as 1.8 mg/L,the survival of Zhikong scallop can be greatly challenged even under the moderate hypoxic condition of around 2.0 mg/L DO.The survival rate ranged from 69%to 59%when DO dropped from 3.0 to 2.0 mg/L,and it was further reduced to 47%at 1.5 mg/L DO.In hypoxic conditions,the scallops became significantly active,which may be explained as escape attempts to avoid hypoxic water.To save energy,Zhikong scallop would depress their respiration.However,when DO dropped from 3.0 to 2.0 mg/L,the oxygen consumption rate hardly changed.The upregulation of lactate dehydrogenase activity and the unrepressed phosphofructokinase activity,which often result in the unbalanced cellular homeostasis and energy budget,may account for the observed increase in the mortality rate of Zhikong scallops.In general,Zhikong scallop is sensitive to hypoxia events,though possible escape attempts,depressed respiration,and oxaloacetate-pathway may increase their survival chance.LI Qiao ZHANG Fang WANG Minxiao LI Mengna SUN Song 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,2:5
3Implications of the autophagy core gene variations on brain metastasis risk in non-small cell lung cancer treated with EGFR-TKI显示文摘Objective The brain is the main site of failure in cancer patients with epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)mutations undergoing treatment.However,identifying patients who may develop brain metastases(BM)is difficult.Autophagy is critical for cancer initiation and progression.We hypothesized that genetic variants in autophagy core genes might contribute to BM risk of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)following treatment with EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor(EGFR-TKIs).Methods We systematically examined 16 potentially functional genetic polymorphisms in seven autophagy core genes among 105 TKI-treated NSCLC patients.Kaplan-Meier curves were plotted to assess the cumulative BM probability.Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analyses were utilized to calculate hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs).We evaluated the potential associations of these genes with subsequent BM development.Results We found that ATG16L1:rs2241880,ATG10:rs10036653,rs3734114,and ATG3:rs7652377 are significantly associated with NSCLC treated with EGFR-TKIs(all P<0.05).BM developed more often in patients with ATG3 rs7652377 CC genotype(33%),ATG10 rs10036653 AA genotype(43%),ATG10:rs3734114 CT/CC genotype(46%),and ATG16L1 rs2241880 AA genotype(37%)compared to patients with AA genotypes at rs7652377(12%),AT/TT genotypes at rs10036653(16%),the TT genotype at rs3734114(13%),or AG/GG genotypes at rs2241880(17%).Conclusion These associations may be critical for understanding the role of autophagy in BM risk.Future prospective studies are needed to determine if prophylactic cranial irradiation(PCI)could offer a survival benefit in this group of patients.Ye Yuan Hu Han Yu Jin Xiao Zhou Minxiao Yi Yang Tang Qianxia Li 2020Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,5:5
4Low-Rate DoS Attack Flows Filtering Based on Frequency Spectral Analysis显示文摘In frequency domain,the power spectrum of Low-rate denial of service(LDoS) attacks is totally spread into the spectrum of normal traffic.It is a challenging task to detect and filter LDoS attack flows from the normal traffic.Based on the analysis of LDoS attack flows and legitimate TCP traffic in time and frequency domains,the periodicity of the TCP traffic and LDoS attack flows is explored to facilitate the research of network traffic processing.Hence,an approach of LDoS attack flow filtering based on frequency spectrum analysis is proposed.In this approach,the TCP traffic and LDoS attack flows are transformed from the time domain into the frequency domain.Then the round-trip time(RTT) is estimated by using frequency domain search method.Analysis of amplitude spectrum shows that TCP traffic energy is mainly concentrated on the points of n/RTT.Therefore,a comb filter using infinite impulse response(IIR) filter is designed to filter out the LDoS attack flows in frequency domain,while most legitimate TCP traffic energy at the points of n/RTT are pass through.Experimental results show that the maximum pass rate for legitimate TCP traffic reaches 92.55%,while the maximum filtration rate of LDoS attack flows reaches 81.36%.The proposed approach can effectively filter the LDoS attack flows while less impact on the legitimate TCP traffic.Zhijun Wu Minxiao Wang Changcan Yan Meng Yue 2017China Communications2017,14,6:4
5Wind Power Fluctuation Compensation by Variable Speed Pumped Storage Plants in Grid Integrated System:Frequency Spectrum Analysis显示文摘Electrical power generation from wind technology is the most rapidly growing technology due to its ample characteristics.Nevertheless,because of its stochastic feature,it has the unnecessary impact on the operations and stability of the power grid system.The fluctuation of the grid frequency problem,for example,is more pronounced.The fluctuation of the frequency in turn impacts even the collapse of the power system.To minimize such problems,a droop-vector control strategy applied on a doubly-fed induction machine based(DFIM)variable speed pumped storage(VSPS)system is proposed in this paper.This method is should be used as a wind power fluctuation compensation solution in the wind farm-grid integration system.The system model is made on the basis of the technique called a phasor model.The frequency spectrum analysis approach is used in the VSPS plant for determining the dynamic performances of the grid in case of contingencies including wind power fluctuation compensation.The software platform MATLAB/Simulink is used for verifying the performance of the proposed system.The results show that the method of the frequency spectrum analysis technique is effective for determining the wind power fluctuation and stability requirements in large power networks.The control strategy proposed in this paper implementing the VSC-DFIM based VSPS plant integrated with the power gird and wind farm network achieves a well-controlled power flow and stable grid frequency with the deviations being in acceptable ranges.Minxiao Han Girmaw Teshager Bitew Sifrash Amogne Mekonnen Wenli Yan 2021CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,2:3
6Experimental study of laser lift-off of ultra-thin polyimide film for flexible electronics显示文摘It is increasingly crucial for flexible electronics to efficiently and reliably peel large-area, ultra-thin flexible films off from rigid substrate serving as substrates of flexible electronics device, especially in industrial production. This paper experimentally investigated the mechanism and technologic characteristics of laser lift-off(LLO) process of ultra-thin(~ 2 μm) polyimide(PI)film. It was found increasingly difficult to obtain desirable ultra-thin PI film by LLO with the decrease of the film thickness. The optimal process parameters were achieved considering laser fluence and accumulated irradiation times(AIT), which were found to be strongly correlative to the thickness of PI film. The process mechanism of LLO of PI film was disclosed that laser ablation of interfacial PI will result in the formation of gas products between the PI and glass substrate, enabling the change of interface microstructures to reduce the interface bond strength. The amount of gas products mainly determines the result of LLO process for ultra-thin PI film, from residual adhesion to wrinkles or cracking. The strategy of multi-scanning based on multiple irradiations of low-energy laser pulses was presented to effectively achieve a reliable LLO process of ultra-thin PI film. 7DNA barcoding of Antarctic marine zooplankton for species identification and recognition显示文摘Polar zooplankton are particularly sensitive to climate change, and have been used as rapid-responders to indicate climate-induced changes in the fragile Antarctic ecosystem. DNA barcoding provides an alternative approach for rapid zooplankton species identification. Ninety-four specimens belonging to 32 Antarctic zooplankton species were barcoded to construct a comprehensive reference library. An 830 to 1 050 base-pair region of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (mtCOI) gene was obtained as DNA barcodes. The intraspecific variation of the gene ranged from 0 to 2.6% (p-distance), with an average of 0.67% (SD=0.67%). The distance between species within the same genera ranged from 0.1% (Calanus) to 29.3%, with an average of 15.3% (SD=8.4%). The morphological and genetic similarities between Calanus propinquus and C. simillimus raise new questions about the taxonomic status of C. simillimus. With the exception of the two Calanus species, the intraspecific genetic divergence was much smaller than the interspecific divergence among congeneric species, confirming the existence of a barcode gap for Antarctic zooplankton. In addition, species other than Calanus sp. formed a monophyletic group. Therefore, we have confirmed DNA barcoding as an accurate and efficient approach for zooplankton identification in the Antarctic area (except for Hydromedusa, Tunicata, and other gelatinous zooplankton). Indicator vector analysis further confirmed this conclusion. 9Identification and characterization of endosymbiosis-related immune genes in deep-sea mussels Gigantidas platifrons显示文摘Deep-sea mussels of the subfamily Bathymodiolinae are common and numerically dominant species widely distributed in cold seeps and hydrothermal vents.During long-time evolution,deep-sea mussels have evolved to be well adapted to the local environment of cold seeps and hydrothermal vents by various ways,especially by establishing endosymbiosis with chemotrophic bacteria.However,biological processes underlying the establishment and maintenance of symbiosis between host mussels and symbionts are largely unclear.In the present study,Gigantidas platifrons genes possibly involved in the symbiosis with methane oxidation symbionts were identified and characterized by Lipopolysaccharide(LPS)pull-down and in situ hybridization.Five immune related proteins including Toll-like receptor 2(TLR2),integrin,vacuolar sorting protein(VSP),matrix metalloproteinase 1(MMP1),and leucine-rich repeat(LRR-1)were identified by LPS pull-down assay.These five proteins were all conserved in either molecular sequences or functional domains and known to be key molecules in host immune recognition,phagocytosis,and lysosome-mediated digestion.Furthermore,in situ hybridization of LRR-1,TLR2 and VSP genes was conducted to investigate their expression patterns in gill tissues of G.platifrons.Consequently,LRR-1,TLR2,and VSP genes were found expressed exclusively in the bacteriocytes of G.platifrons.Therefore,it was suggested that TLR2,integrin,VSP,MMP1,and LRR-1 might be crucial molecules in the symbiosis between G.platifrons and methane oxidation bacteria by participating in symbiosis-related immune processes.LI Mengna CHEN Hao WANG Minxiao ZHONG Zhaoshan ZHOU Li LI Chaolun 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,4:1
10Inductive eff ect of bioactive substances on strobilation of jellyfi sh Aurelia coerulea显示文摘The moon jellyfi sh Aurelia spp.is a worldwide distributed scyphozoan species that seasonally blooms in coastal waters.Although the strobilation is directly responsible for the scale of jellyfi sh bloom,the underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown.We exposed Aurelia coerulea polyps to 18 bioactive substances to test their ability to induce strobilation at the natural typically non-strobilation temperature of 21°C.Results revealed that A.coerulea polyps responded in four types.Type I—no change for estradiol,folic acid,iodine,retinoic acid,serotonin hydrochloride,and vitamin A.We suggested that 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine and N-acetyl-L-glutamic acid could not induce strobilation,since the percent of strobilated polyps in these two substances treatments was 3.3%and 1%,respectively.Type II—polyp body elongation for 3,5-diiodo-Ltyrosine,indole-3-acetic acid,L-dopamine,and noradrenaline treatments.Type III—transverse constrictions for L-thyroxine,progesterone,and melatonin treatments.Finally,Type IV—complete strobilation for 5-methoxy-2-methylindole,acetylcholine chloride,and indomethacin treatments,where the pre-strobilation periods were 2,4,and 2 days,and the mean numbers of ephyrae released per strobila were 4.7,5.7,and 5.7,respectively.The results reveal that indole derivatives,which contained methoxy or methyl pharmacophore,were the common strobilation inducer in the genus Aurelia.Iodinated organic compounds,catecholamine,acetylcholine chloride,and retinoic acid are species-specifi c strobilation inducer.Therefore,A.coerulea strobilation is regulated by neuronal and endocrine processes.Our fi ndings provide clues in understanding the mechanism of strobilation and contribute to developing specifi c strobilation antagonists in controlling moon jellyfi sh blooms.WANG Nan WANG Minxiao WANG Yantao LI Chaolun 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,5:1

15A missense variant of MASP2 is associated with increased risk of radiation pneumonitis in lung cancer patients treated with radiation therapy显示文摘Objective In this study,mannan-binding lectin-associated serine protease 2(MASP2)gene variant was evaluated to assess the risk of radiation pneumonitis(RP)in patients with pulmonary malignancies.Methods A total of 169 lung cancer patients with radiotherapy were included in our prospective study(NCT02490319)and genotyped using the Sanger sequencing method.Multivariate Cox hazards analysis and multiple testing were applied to estimate the hazard ratio(HR)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)of all factors possibly associated with RP risk.Results Patients with mean lung disease≥15 Gy and V20≥24%had higher risk of RP≥grade 2 compared with their counterparts(HR=1.888,95%CI:1.186-3.004,P=0.007;HR=2.126,95%CI:1.338-3.378,P=0.001,respectively).Importantly,CC+CA genotype of MASP2:rs12711521 was strongly associated with an increased occurrence of RP≥grade 2(HR=1.949,95%CI:1.278-2.971,P=0.002).Conclusion MASP2:rs12711521 was found to be significantly associated with RP≥grade 2 in our cohort and may thus be one of the important predictors of severe RP before radiotherapy,if further validated in larger population.Yang Tang Li Yang Wan Qin Minxiao Yi Bo Liu Xianglin Yuan 2020Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,5:1
16Single-ended Fault Detection Scheme Using Support Vector Machine for Multi-terminal Direct Current Systems Based on Modular Multilevel Converter显示文摘This paper proposes a single-ended fault detection scheme for long transmission lines using support vector machine(SVM)for multi-terminal direct current systems based on modular multilevel converter(MMC-MTDC).The scheme overcomes existing detection difficulties in the protection of long transmission lines resulting from high grounding resistance and attenuation,and also avoids the sophisticated process of threshold value selection.The high-frequency components in the measured voltage extracted by a wavelet transform and the amplitude of the zero-mode set of the positive-sequence voltage are the inputs to a trained SVM.The output of the SVM determines the fault type.A model of a four-terminal DC power grid with overhead transmission lines is built in PSCAD/EMTDC.Simulation results of EMTDC confirm that the proposed scheme achieves 100%accuracy in detecting short-circuit faults with high resistance on long transmission lines.The proposed scheme eliminates mal-operation of DC circuit breakers when faced with power order changes or AC-side faults.Its robustness and time delay are also assessed and shown to have no perceptible effect on the speed and accuracy of the detection scheme,thus ensuring its reliability and stability.Guangyang Zhou Xiahui Zhang Minxiao Han Shaahin Filizadeh Zhi Geng 2023Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2023,11,3:0
17Gametogenesis and reproductive traits of the cold-seep mussel Gigantidas platifrons in the South China Sea显示文摘Gigantidas platifrons(Bivalvia,Mytilidae),the dominant species at the Formosa cold seep,relies on methanotrophic symbionts dwelling in its gills for nutrition.The reproductive patterns of G.platifrons provide fundamental information for understanding the population recruitment of this species.However,we know very little about important processes in reproduction,such as gametogenesis and symbiotic bacteria transmission.To this end,we described the developmental patterns of the gonads from nine surveys and juvenile length-distribution from one-year larval traps and detected bacteria in gonad from G.platifrons samples.Our results show that G.platifrons is a functionally dioecious species.The reproduction of G.platifrons is discontinuous,with spawning maturity peak around the fourth quarter of the year.The seasonal reproduction of G.platifrons was further supported by the unimodal shell length distribution of the trapped juvenile mussels.Given the small oocyte size(48.99–70.14μm),which was comparable to that of coastal mussels,we proposed that G.platifrons developed via a free-living,planktotrophic larval stage before settlement.The blooms at the water surface can also supply the development of the planktonic larvae of G.platifrons.Meanwhile,no bacteria were observed in gonads,suggesting a horizontal symbiont transfer mode in this mussel.Collectively,these results provide fundamental biological information for an improved understanding of the early life history of G.platifrons in the Formosa cold seep.ZHONG Zhaoshan WANG Minxiao CHEN Hao ZHENG Ping LI Chaolun 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,4:0
18Reverse Droop Control-based Smooth Transfer Strategy for Interface Converters in Hybrid AC/DC Distribution Networks显示文摘Hybrid AC/DC distribution networks are promising candidates for future applications due to their rapid advancement in power electronics technology.They use interface converters(IFCs)to link DC and AC distribution networks.However,the networks possess drawbacks with AC voltage and frequency offsets when transferring from grid-tied to islanding modes.To address these problems,this paper proposes a simple but effective strategy based on the reverse droop method.Initially,the power balance equation of the distribution system is derived,which reveals that the cause of voltage and frequency offsets is the mismatch between the IFC output power and the rated load power.Then,the reverse droop control is introduced into the IFC controller.By using a voltage-active power/frequency-reactive power(U-P/f-Q)reverse droop loop,the IFC output power enables adaptive tracking of the rated load power.Therefore,the AC voltage offset and frequency offset are suppressed during the transfer process of operational modes.In addition,the universal parameter design method is discussed based on the stability limitations of the control system and the voltage quality requirements of AC critical loads.Finally,simulation and experimental results clearly validate the proposed control strategy and parameter design method.Wenyuan Cao Minxiao Han Xiangkun Meng Wenqiang Xie Zmarrak Wali Khan Josep M.Guerrero Gibran David Agundis Tinajero 2023CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,1:0
19Complex regulatory network of Betula BplSPL8 in planta显示文摘SQUAMOSA-promoter binding protein-like(SPL) proteins are plant-specific transcription factors and participate in different pathways,including the vegetative to reproductive transition,male sterility,biosynthesis of gibberellic acid(GA),plant morphogenesis and response to environmental stress.In this study,we generated transgenic Arabidopsis that overexpressed Betula Bpl SPL8 and confirmed that Bpl SPL8 is a transcription factor with transcriptional activation activity and is located in the nucleus.Functional analysis of Bpl SPL8 showed that it is involved in regulating different development processes:(1) Bpl SPL8 can delay flowering by reducing sensitivity to GA under short days;(2) Bpl SPL8 controls the number and morphogenesis of leaves,including up-rolling leaves under long days and folded leaves mediated by GA under short days;(3) Bpl SPL8 can promote root elongation during late development of roots and inhibit lateral root formation;(4)Bpl SPL8 may be involved in regulating carotenoid biosynthesis and secretion metabolism.These results show that there is a complex regulatory network for the SPL family genes that is mediated by other components and may provide a new insights for the functional research of SPL genes.Chuang Liu Minxiao Guan Xiaoqing Hu Jing Tian Xuemei Liu 2017Journal of Forestry Research2017,28,5:0
20Integrated biomarker response to assess toxic impacts of iron and manganese on deep-sea mussel Gigantidas platifrons under a deep-sea mining activity scenario显示文摘Deep-sea mining activities can potentially release metals,which pose a toxicological threat to deep-sea ecosystems.Nevertheless,due to the remoteness and inaccessibility of the deep-sea biosphere,there is insufficient knowledge about the impact of metal exposure on its inhabitants.In this study,deep-sea mussel Gigantidas platifrons,a commonly used deep-sea toxicology model organism,was exposed to manganese(100,1000μg/L)or iron(500,5000μg/L)for 7 d,respectively.Manganese and iron were chosen for their high levels of occurrence within deep-sea deposits.Metal accumulation and a battery of biochemical biomarkers related to antioxidative stress in superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),malondialdehyde(MDA);immune function in alkaline phosphatase(AKP),acid phosphatase(ACP);and energy metabolism in pyruvate kinase(PK)and hexokinase(HK)were assessed in mussel gills.Results showed that deep-sea mussel G.platifrons exhibited a high capacity to accumulate Mn/Fe.In addition,most tested biochemical parameters were altered by metal exposure,demonstrating that metals could induce oxidative stress,suppress the immune system,and affect energy metabolism of deep-sea mussels.The integrated biomarker response(IBR)approach indicated that the exposure to Mn/Fe had a negative impact on deep-sea mussels,and Mn demonstrated a more harmful impact on deep-sea mussels than Fe.Additionally,SOD and CAT biomarkers had the greatest impact on IBR values in Mn treatments,while ACP and HK were most influential for the low-and high-dose Fe groups,respectively.This study represents the first application of the IBR approach to evaluate the toxicity of metals on deep-sea fauna and serves as a crucial framework for risk assessment of deep-sea mining-associated metal exposure.Li ZHOU Mengna LI Zhaoshan ZHONG Minxiao WANG Hao CHEN Chao LIAN Hao WANG Huan ZHANG Lei CAO Chaolun LI 2024Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2024,42,2:0
