| 1 | Characterization and assessment of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emissions from typical industries显示文摘VOCs play an increasingly important role in affecting air quality and threatening human health in China in recent years,where industry activities show a significant contribution to VOCs emission.In this article we report our long term study of industrial VOCs emissions of six major industries (vehicle manufacturing,printing,equipment coating,electronic manufacturing,furniture manufacturing and bio-pharming) on the aspects of emission characteristics,environmental impact and health risk assessment,and control challenge analysis with the purpose to obtain in-depth understanding of industry VOCs emissions and offer some original basements for national control and management of industry VOCs emissions.This study shows that all these industries give middle or low emission with total VOCs concentration less than 1000 mg/m3 at each exhaust pipe.Benzenes,esters,alcohols,ketones,alkanes,chloroalkanes and alkenes were detected as the major emission components and the most frequently monitored VOCs were benzenes,which varied obviously with different processes and industries.The environmental impact assessments indicate that vehicle manufacturing and benzenes should be prior controlled with the purpose to reduce air pollution.While,health risk assessments suggest that furniture manufacturing and chloroalkanes should be firstly controlled.Control analysis indicates that developing technologies with low cost and high efficiency and establishing and completing specific industry emission standards/regulations are the two key issues in VOCs emission management at present stage. | WANG HaiLin NIE Lie LI Jing WANG YuFei WANG Gang WANG JunHui HAO ZhengPing | 2013 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,3: | 60 |
| 2 | Fabrication,microstructures,and properties of copper matrix composites reinforced by molybdenum-coated carbon nanotubes显示文摘Multiwalled carbon nanotubes(CNTs) were coated by a molybdenum layer using carbonyl thermal decomposition process with a precursor of molybdenum hexacarbonyl.The Mo-coated CNTs(Mo-CNTs) were added into copper powders to fabricate Mo-CNT/Cu composites by means of mechanical milling followed by spark plasma sintering.The Mo-CNTs were uniform dispersion in the Cu matrix when their contents were 2.5 vol.%-7.5 vol.%,while some Mo-CNT clusters were clearly observed at additions of 10.0 vol.%-15.0 vol.% Mo-CNTs in the mixture.The mechanical,electrical,and thermal properties of the Mo-CNT/Cu composites were characterized,and the results showed that the tensile strength and hardness were 2.0 and 2.2 times higher than those of CNT-free specimens,respectively.Moreover,the Mo-CNT/Cu composites exhibited an enhanced thermal conductivity but inferior electrical conductivity compared with sintered pure Cu.The uncoated CNT/Cu composites were fabricated by the similar processes,and the measured tensile strength,hardness,thermal conductivity,and electrical conductivity of the CNT/Cu composites were lower than those of the Mo-CNT/Cu composites. | NIE Junhui JIA Chengchang JIA Xian ZHANG Yafeng SHI Na LI Yi | 2011 | Rare Metals2011,30,4: | 12 |
| 3 | Tensile and Fracture Properties of 15 vol% SiC_p/2009Al Composites Fabricated by Hot Isostatic Pressing and Hot Extrusion Processes显示文摘15 vol% silicon carbide particle(Si Cp)-reinforced 2009 Al matrix(15 vol% Si Cp/2009Al) composites were fabricated by hot isostatic pressing(HIP) and hot extrusion processes. The tensile and fracture properties of 15 vol% Si Cp/2009 Al were studied. The results showed that hot extrusion increased the ultimate tensile strength(UTS), yield strength(YS), elongation(EL), reduction in area(RA), and fracture toughness of the composites. The heat treatment resulted in the increase in UTS, YS, and fracture toughness, but a decrease in EL and RA. Both hot extrusion and heat treatment had negligible effects on elastic modulus(E). With the increase of Si Cpsize, the UTS, YS, and E decreased, but the EL and RA increased. | 5 | Analysis of the efficacy of transcatheter arterial infusion chemotherapy in the treatment of pancreatic carcinoma显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of infusion of gemcitabine(GEM) and fluorouracil(5-FU)through the celiac artery and superior mesenteric artery in the treatment of pancreatic carcinoma(PC).Methods:We analyzed 20 patients diagnosed clinically or pathologically with PC,without metastases,who had an estimated survival duration of>3 months in our department from May 2009 to December 2014.Nine patients were treated directly without surgical resection of the tumor,while the other 11 patients were treated after surgery.In all patients,the femoral artery was punctured using the Seldinger technique,and a catheter was placed in the opening of the celiac artery or the superior mesenteric artery.We administered 500 mg/m2 GEM and 500 mg/m2 5-FU.Observational data included data on clinical efficacy and survival rates during the follow-up period of 3-72 months.Results:Twenty patients were treated 85 times with transcatheter arterial infusion chemotherapy(TAI).The survival rates were 80%,40%,35%,20%,10%,and 5% at 3,6,12,24,and 72 months,respectively.Conclusion: TAI chemotherapy with GEM and 5-FU may be a therapeutic option for the treatment of PC. | Chunhui Nie Yuelin Zhang Guanhui Zhou Tanyang Zhou Tongyin Zhu Baoquan Wang Shengqun Chen Hongliang Wang Ziniu Yu Li Jing Junhui Sun | 2021 | Journal of Interventional Medicine2021,4,1: | 4 |

| 8 | Friction and wear properties of copper matrix composites reinforced by tungsten-coated carbon nanotubes显示文摘Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were coated by tungsten layer using metal organic chemical vapor deposition process with tungsten hexacarbonyl as a precursor. The W-coated CNTs (W-CNTs) were dispersed into Cu powders by magnetic stirring process and then the mixed powders were consolidated by spark plasma sintering to fabricate W-CNTs/Cu composites. The CNTs/Cu composites were fabricated using the simi-lar processes. The friction coefficient and mass wear loss of W-CNTs/Cu and CNTs/Cu composites were studied. The results showed that the W-CNT content, interfacial bonding situation, and applied load could influence the friction coefficient and wear loss of W-CNTs/Cu com-posites. When the W-CNT content was 1.0 wt.%, the W-CNTs/Cu composites got the minimum friction coefficient and wear loss, which were decreased by 72.1% and 47.6%, respectively, compared with pure Cu specimen. The friction coefficient and wear loss of W-CNTs/Cu composites were lower than those of CNTs/Cu composites, which was due to that the interfacial bonding at (W-CNTs)-Cu interface was bet-ter than that at CNTs-Cu interface. | 9 | Effective spectral index properties for Fermi blazars显示文摘Blazars are a special subclass of active galactic nuclei with extreme observation properties. This subclass can be divided into two further subclasses of flat spectrum radio quasars(FSRQs) and BL Lacertae objects(BL Lacs) according to their emission line features. To compare the spectral properties of FSRQs and BL Lacs, the 1.4 GHz radio, optical R-band, 1 keV X-ray, and 1 GeVy-ray flux densities for 1108 Fermi blazars are calculated to discuss the properties of the six effective spectral indices of radio to optical(α_(RO)), radio to X-ray(α_(RX)), radio to y ray(α_(Ry)), optical to X-ray(α_(OX)), optical to y ray(α_(Oy)), and X-ray to y ray(α_(Xy)).The main results are as follows: For the averaged effective spectral indices, α_(OX_> α_(Oy)> α_(Xy)> α_(Ry)> α_(RX)> α_(RO) for samples of whole blazars and BL Lacs; α_(Xy)≈α_(Ry)≈α_(RX) for FSRQs and low-frequency-peaked BL Lacs(LBLs); and α_(OX)≈α_(Oy)≈α_(Xy) for high-synchrotron-frequency-peaked BL Lacs(HBLs). The distributions of the effective spectral indices involving optical emission(α_(RO), α_(OX), and α_(Oy)) for LBLs are different from those for FSRQs, but if the effective spectral index does not involve optical emission(α_(RX), α_(Ry), and α_(Xy)), the distributions for LBLs and FSRQs almost come from the same parent population. X-ray emissions from blazars include both synchrotron and inverse Compton (IC) components; the IC component for FSRQs and LBLs accounts for a larger proportion than that for HBLs; and the radiation mechanism for LBLs is similar to that for FSRQs, but the radiation mechanism for HBLs is different from that for both FSRQs and LBLs in X-ray bands. | 10 | Some statistical correlation analyses for Fermi/LAT Blazars显示文摘A sample including 664 blazars(301 Flat Spectrum Radio Quasars and 363 BL Lacs) with γ-ray data in both 1FGL and 2FGL catalogues were selected. The average values of both γ-photon average energy and the photon spectral index for FSRQs, LBLs, IBLs and HBLs, follow the blazars sequence, FSRQs → LBLs →IBLs → HBLs. The slopes of correlation between photon spectral index and γ-ray luminosity for 4 the sub-classes of blazars also follow the blazars sequence. Also, there was close anti-correlations between the difference of two γ-ray photon spectral indices and the logarithm of the ratio of two γ-ray luminosities from 2FGL and 1FGL catalogs. It implies that the spectrum becomes flat when the source becomes brighter in high energetic γ-ray band. | 11 | Attenuation of ethylene signaling increases cotton resistance to a defoliating strain of Verticillium dahliae显示文摘The severity of Verticillium wilt on cotton caused by defoliating strains of Verticillium dahliae has gradually increased and threatens production worldwide. Identification of the molecular components of leaf defoliation may increase cotton tolerance to V. dahliae. Ethylene, a major player in plant physiological processes, is often associated with senescence and defoliation of plants. We investigated the cotton–V.dahliae interaction with a focus on the role of ethylene in defoliation and defense against V. dahliae.Cotton plants inoculated with V. dahliae isolate V991, a defoliating strain, accumulated more ethylene and showed increased disease symptoms than those inoculated with a non-defoliating strain. In cotton with a transiently silenced ethylene synthesis gene(GhACOs) and signaling gene(GhEINs) during cotton–V. dahliae interaction, ethylene produced was derived from cotton and more ethylene increased cotton susceptibility and defoliation rate. | 14 | Estimation of inverse Compton peak frequency for 4FGL Blazars显示文摘This study uses a parabolic equation to fit the Inverse Compton (IC) spectral component of 3743 blazars (794 FSRQs,1432 BLLacs,and 1517 BCUs) from the 4FGL-DR3 catalog.Some mutual correlations are investigated,and a Bayesian classification is performed to the IC peak frequencies.Our analyses draw the following conclusions:(1) The Bayesian classification shows two components with a dividing boundary of log(v_(p)^(IC)/Hz)pIC=22.9.Therefore,the 3743 blazars are divided into low IC peak frequency(LCP) blazars and high IC peak frequency (HCP) blazars.(2) A strong linear correlation exists between IC peak frequency(logv_(p)^(IC)) and γ-ray photon spectral index (Γ).The IC peak frequency can be estimated by an empirical relation logv_(p)^(IC)=–4.5·Γ+32.8 for BL Lacs and logv_(p)^(IC)=4.0+31.4pICfor FSRQs,which is consistent with the result by Abdo et al.(3) The ICspectral curvature and IC peak frequency are not as closely related as the synchrotron curvature and the synchrotron peak frequency.(4) An anti-correlation exists between IC peak frequency and IC peak luminosity,implying that as the IC peak frequency in the γ-ray band decreases,the source becomes more luminous.The beaming effect is stronger for the source with a lower IC peak frequency.(5) Positive correlations exist between IC and synchrotron components for both peak frequencies and peak fluxes,but no clear correlation exists between IC curvature and synchrotron curvature. | JiangHe Yang JunHui Fan Yi Liu ManXian Tuo ZhiYuan Pei WenXin Yang YuHai Yuan SiLe He ShengHui Wang XiaoHai Qu YueLian Zhang JianJun Nie XiuHui Chen | 2023 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,4: | 0 |
