| 1 | Second harmonic generation in a high-Q lithium niobate microresonator fabricated by femtosecond laser micromachining显示文摘We report on second harmonic generation(SHG) in on-chip high-Q(>105) lithium niobate(Li Nb O3, LN) microresonators fabricated by femtosecond laser micromachining. We examine the efficiency of SHG with either a continuous-wave(CW) or an ultrashort pulsed pump laser. | 2 | Effects of elevated CO_2 on the nutrient compositions and enzymes activities of Nilaparvata lugens nymphs fed on rice plants显示文摘Elevated CO 2 may reduce the tolerance of Nilaparvata lugen (N. lugens) to adverse environmental factors through the biological and physiological degeneration of N. lugens. In an artificial climate box, under 375 and 750 μL L 1 CO 2 levels, the rice stems nutrient content, the nutrient content and enzyme activities of N. lugens nymph fed on rice seedlings exposed to ambient and elevated CO 2 were studied. The results showed that rice stems had significantly higher protein and total amino acid levels under ambient than elevated CO 2 levels. Nymphs had significantly higher protein levels in the ambient CO 2 treatment, while their glucose levels were significantly lower under ambient CO 2 conditions. Significantly higher trypsin activity was observed in nymphs grown in elevated CO 2 . Significantly lower activities of the protective enzymes total superoxide dismutase and catalase were observed in the nymphs under ambient CO 2 . Meanwhile, the activity of the detoxification enzyme glutathione S-transferase was significantly higher in the ambient CO 2 treatment. | 4 | A novel hyperbranched aromatic polyamide containing bithiazole: Synthesis,metal complexation and magnetic properties显示文摘Based on the polycondensation of bifunctional 2,2′-diamino-4,4′-bithiazole(DABT) and trifunctional 1,3,5-benzenetricarbonyl trichloride (BTC),a novel hyperbranched aromatic polyamide PBD was synthesized with excellent solubility and good thermal stability.The structure of the polymer was confirmed by FT-IR and 1H NMR spectrum.The calculated degree of branching of our product was 52%.By exploring the influence of several different solvent systems,the yield of the polymer increased in the solvent system of DMAc/LiCl.Two kinds of metal complexes were obtained by chelation of the polyamide with Cu2+ and Ni2+,and the metal contents of the complexes were determined by complexometric titration.The magnetic behaviors of the complexes were examined as a function of magnetic field strength at 5 K,and as a function of temperature (5–300 K) at a magnetic field strength of 2.4 × 106 A/m.The results indicated that the complexes were soft ferromagnetic materials with Curie-Weiss temperature at 102 K and 53 K,respectively. | DING NengWen LIN WeiHong SUN WeiLin SHEN ZhiQuan | 2011 | Science China Chemistry2011,54,2: | 3 |
| 5 | A New Brown Frog of the Genus Rana(Anura,Ranidae)from North China,with a Taxonomic Revision of the R.chensinensis Species Group显示文摘The Rana chensinensis species group is widely distributed throughout North China.However,its taxonomy and composition remain controversial.In recent field investigations of the Taihang Mountains,a series of Rana specimens were collected,which were once identified as R.chensinensis.However,these samples showed significant differences from R.chensinensis of the type locality(Shaanxi Province in the Qinling Mountains)in both morphology and genetics.In this paper,based on analyses of seventeen geographic populations from the Taihang and Qinling Mountains,we describe a new species(namely R.taihangensis sp.nov.)in the R.chensinensis species group.A phylogenetic analysis of the R.chensinensis species group based on mitochondrial genes—COI,16S rRNA and Cytb—revealed the monophyly of the cryptic species,which formed the sister taxon to R.kukunoris.Morphological comparisons indicated that the cryptic species can be distinguished from its congeners by a combination of characteristics.Additionally,the distribution patterns of the Rana species in North China were clarified.The populations of the southwestern Taihang Mountains,Xiaoqinling Mountains,and Funiu Mountains in Henan Province remain R.chensinensis,whereas the populations recorded as R.chensinensis in Beijing City,Hebei Province,and the southeastern Taihang Mountains of Henan Province should be revised as R.taihangensis sp.nov. | Huijun SHEN Mengyu XU Xinyue YANG Zhuo CHEN Nengwen XIAO Xiaohong CHEN | 2022 | Asian Herpetological Research2022,13,3: | 2 |

| 14 | Two types of cinnamoyl-Co A reductase function divergently in accumulation of lignins,flavonoids and glucosinolates and enhance lodging resistance in Brassica napus显示文摘Brassica crops,which are of worldwide importance,provide various oil,vegetable and ornamental products,as well as feedstocks for animal husbandry and biofuel industry.Cinnamoyl-Co A reductase(CCR)is the entry point to the lignin pathway and a crucial locus in manipulation of associated traits,but CCRassociated metabolism and traits in Brassica crops have remained largely unstudied except in Arabidopsis thaliana.We report the identification of 16 CCR genes from Brassica napus and its parental species B.rapa and B.oleracea.The Bn CCR1 and Bn CCR2 subfamilies displayed divergent organ-specificity and participation in the yellow-seed trait.Their functions were dissected via overexpression of representative paralogs in B.napus.Bn CCR1 was expressed preferentially in G-and H-lignin biosynthesis and vascular development,while Bn CCR2 was expressed in S-lignin biosynthesis and interfascicular fiber development.Bn CCR1 showed stronger effects on lignification-related development,lodging resistance,phenylpropanoid flux control,and seed coat pigmentation,whereas Bn CCR2 showed a stronger effect on sinapate biosynthesis.Bn CCR1 upregulation delayed bolting and flowering time,while Bn CCR2 upregulation weakened the leaf vascular system in consequence of suppressed G-lignin accumulation.Bn CCR1 and Bn CCR2 were closely but almost oppositely linked with glucosinolate metabolism via inter-pathway crosstalk.We conclude that Bn CCR1 and Bn CCR2 subfamilies offer great but differing potential for manipulating traits associated with phenylpropanoids and glucosinolates.This study reveals the CCR1–CCR2 divergence in Brassicaceae and offers a resource for rapeseed breeding for lodging resistance,yellowseed traits,and glucosinolate traits. | Nengwen Yin Bo Li Xue Liu Ying Liang Jianping Lian Yufei Xue Cunmin Qu Kun Lu Lijuan Wei Rui Wang Jiana Li Yourong Chai | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,3: | 1 |

| 19 | Knockdown of PGC1α suppresses dysplastic oral keratinocytes proliferation through reprogramming energy metabolism显示文摘Oral potentially malignant disorders(OPMDs)are precursors of oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC).Deregulated cellular energy metabolism is a critical hallmark of cancer cells.Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma coactivator-1 alpha(PGC1α)plays vital role in mitochondrial energy metabolism.However,the molecular mechanism of PGC1αon OPMDs progression is less unclear.Therefore,we investigated the effects of knockdown PGC1αon human dysplastic oral keratinocytes(DOKs)comprehensively,including cell proliferation,cell cycle,apoptosis,xenograft tumor,mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA),mitochondrial electron transport chain complexes(ETC),reactive oxygen species(ROS),oxygen consumption rate(OCR),extracellular acidification rate(ECAR),and glucose uptake.We found that knockdown PGC1αsignificantly inhibited the proliferation of DOKs in vitro and tumor growth in vivo,induced S-phase arrest,and suppressed PI3K/Akt signaling pathway without affecting cell apoptosis.Mechanistically,downregulated of PGC1αdecreased mtDNA,ETC,and OCR,while enhancing ROS,glucose uptake,ECAR,and glycolysis by regulating lactate dehydrogenase A(LDHA).Moreover,SR18292(an inhibitor of PGC1α)induced oxidative phosphorylation dysfunction of DOKs and declined DOK xenograft tumor progression.Thus,our work suggests that PGC1αplays a crucial role in cell proliferation by reprograming energy metabolism and interfering with energy metabolism,acting as a potential therapeutic target for OPMDs. | Yunkun Liu Nengwen Huang Xianghe Qiao Zhiyu Gu Yongzhi Wu Jinjin Li Chengzhou Wu Bo Li Longjiang Li | 2023 | International Journal of Oral Science2023,15,3: | 0 |
