1Optimal operation of electricity, natural gas and heat systems considering integrated demand responses and diversified storage devices显示文摘In recent years, the increasing penetration level of renewable generation and combined heat and power(CHP) technology in power systems is leading to significant changes in energy production and consumption patterns. As a result, the integrated planning and optimal operation of a multi-carrier energy(MCE) system have aroused widespread concern for reasonable utilization of multiple energy resources and efficient accommodation of renewable energy sources. In this context, an integrated demand response(IDR) scheme is designed to coordinate the operation of power to gas(P2 G) devices, heat pumps,diversified storage devices and flexible loads within an extended modeling framework of energy hubs. Subsequently, the optimal dispatch of interconnected electricity,natural gas and heat systems is implemented considering the interactions among multiple energy carriers by utilizing the bi-level optimization method. 2Infantile hepatic hemangioendothelioma:A clinicopathologic study in a Chinese population显示文摘AIM:To investigate whether the clinicopathologic features of infantile hemangioendothelioma(IHE) of the liver in a Chinese population are similar to the features observed in other races.METHODS:The clinical data,radiological findings,histopathological changes and outcome of 12 cases of IHE diagnosed by the Department of Pathology,West China Hospital over the last 10 years were analyzed retrospectively.Immunohistochemical studies were carried out using antibodies against CD31,CD34,Factor Ⅷ,cytokeratin 8 and cytokeratin 18.RESULTS:The 12 patients were aged from fetal to 5 years(three males and nine females).The tumor was presented with different clinical manifestations,mainly as an asymptomatic,palpable,upper abdominal mass,except for the two fetuses who were detected antena-tally by ultrasound.In one patient,this presentation was accompanied by an initial severe pneumothorax.No symptoms of congestive heart failure were present and neither congenital abnormalities nor vascular tumors in the skin or other organs were found.Laboratory abnormalities included leukocytosis(40%),anemia(60%),thrombocytosis(60%),hyperbilirubinemia(16.7%),abnormal liver function(50%) and increased α-fetoprotein(80%).Based on radiological findings and gross specimens,the tumor presented as a solitary lesion or a multifocal space-occupying lesion.The tumor size ranged from 5.0 cm × 3.5 cm × 2.0 cm to 13.8 cm × 9.0 cm × 7.7 cm,and the 0.2-1.1 cm nodules were diffusely distributed within the multifocal tumor.Seven cases were surgically resected,three cases underwent biopsy and the two fetuses were aborted.Histologically,nine cases were classified as typeⅠ and three as type Ⅱ,presenting aggressive morphologic features,immature vessels,active mitosis and necrosis.An inflammatory component,predominantly eosinophilic granulocytes,sometimes obscured the nature of the tumor.Ten patients are alive after a follow-up of 1-9 years.Based on immunohistochemistry,the endothelial cells in all cases were positive for CD31,CD34 and polyclonal factor Ⅷ antigen,whereas the scattered hyperplasia bile ducts were positive for cytokeratin 8 and cytokeratin 18.CONCLUSION:The clinical manifestations of IHE are non-specific.There is no significant correlation between histological type and prognosis.The clinicopathologic features of IHE in Chinese patients may provide a clue to further evidence-based studies.Zhang Zhang,Hui-Jiao Chen,Wen-Juan Yang,Hong Bu,Bing Wei,Xiao-Yu Long,Jing Fu,Rui Zhang,Yun-Bi Ni,Hong-Ying Zhang,Department of Pathology,West China Hospital,Sichuan University,Guoxuexiang 37,Chengdu 610041,Sichuan Province,China 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,36:16

5Effects of acute kidney injury on acute pancreatitis patients’ survival rate in intensive care unit: A retrospective study显示文摘BACKGROUND Acute kidney injury(AKI)is one of the most common acute pancreatitis(AP)-associated complications that has a significant effect on AP,but the factors affecting the AP patients’survival rate remains unclear.AIM To assess the influences of AKI on the survival rate in AP patients.METHODS A total of 139 AP patients were included in this retrospective study.Patients were divided into AKI group(n=72)and non-AKI group(n=67)according to the occurrence of AKI.Data were collected from medical records of hospitalized patients.Then,these data were compared between the two groups and further analysis was performed.RESULTS AKI is more likely to occur in male AP patients(P=0.009).AP patients in AKI group exhibited a significantly higher acute physiologic assessment and chronic health evaluation II score,higher Sequential Organ Failure Assessment score,lower Glasgow Coma Scale score,and higher demand for mechanical ventilation,infusion of vasopressors,and renal replacement therapy than AP patients in non-AKI group(P<0.01,P<0.01,P=0.01,P=0.001,P<0.01,P<0.01,respectively).Significant differences were noted in dose of norepinephrine and adrenaline,duration of mechanical ventilation,maximum and mean values of intra-peritoneal pressure(IPP),maximum and mean values of procalcitonin,maximum and mean serum levels of creatinine,minimum platelet count,and length of hospitalization.Among AP patients with AKI,the survival rate of surgical intensive care unit and in-hospital were only 23%and 21%of the corresponding rates in AP patients without AKI,respectively.The factors that influenced the AP patients’survival rate included body mass index(BMI),mean values of IPP,minimum platelet count,and hospital day,of which mean values of IPP showed the greatest impact.CONCLUSION AP patients with AKI had a lower survival rate and worse relevant clinical outcomes than AP patients without AKI,which necessitates further attention to AP patients with AKI in surgical intensive care unit.Ni Shi Guo-Dong Sun Yuan-Yuan Ji Ying Wang Yu-Cheng Zhu Wan-Qiu Xie Na-Na Li Qiu-Yuan Han Zhi-Dong Qi Rui Huang Ming Li Zhen-Yu Yang Jun-Bo Zheng Xing Zhang Qing-Qing Dai Gui-Ying Hou Yan-Song Liu Hong-Liang Wang Yang Gao 2021World Journal of Gastroenterology2021,27,38:8

7Risk factors for gastric cancer:a large-scale,population-based case-control study显示文摘Background:Early detection of gastric cancer(GC)has been the topic of major efforts in China.This study aimed to explore the risk factors associated with GC and to provide evidence for the selection of a high-risk population of GC.Methods:Based on the cancer screening cohort of the National Cancer Screening Program in Urban China,GC patients diagnosed by endoscopy and pathological examinations constituted the case group,and controls were 1:3 matched by sex and age(±5 years)individually.The variables were selected by univariable analysis of factors such as body mass index(BMI),dietary habits,lifestyle,stomach disease history,and family history of GC;and multivariable logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of GC and to calculate the odds ratio(OR)of related factors and its 95%confidence interval(CI).Results:A total of 215 GC cases and 645 matched healthy controls were included in the final analysis,with a median age of 61 years for the case and control groups.Overall analysis showed that high educational level(above primary school)(OR=0.362,95%CI=0.219–0.599,P<0.001),overweight/obesity(BMI≥24 kg/m2;OR=0.489,95%CI=0.329–0.726,P<0.001),cigarette smoking(OR=3.069,95%CI=1.700–5.540,P<0.001),alcohol consumption(OR=1.661,95%CI=1.028–2.683,P=0.038),history of stomach disease(OR=6.917,95%CI=4.594–10.416,P<0.001),and family history of GC in first-degree relatives(OR=4.291,95%CI=1.661–11.084,P=0.003)were significantly correlated with the occurrence of GC.Subgroup analyses by age and gender indicated that GC risk was still increased in the presence of a history of stomach disease.A history of chronic gastritis,gastric ulcer,or gastric polyposis was positively associated with GC,with adjusted ORs of 4.155(95%CI=2.711–6.368),1.839(95%CI=1.028–3.288),and 2.752(95%CI=1.197–6.326).Conclusions:Subjects who smoke,drink,with history of stomach disease and family history of GC in first-degree relatives are the high-risk populations for GC.Therefore,attention should be paid to these subjects for GC screening.Rui Zhang He Li Ni Li Ju-Fang Shi Jiang Li Hong-Da Chen Yi-Wen Yu Chao Qin Jian-Song Ren Wan-Qing Chen Jie He 2021Chinese Medical Journal2021,,16:7
8Comparison of labeling methods and time course of traumatic brain injury-induced cell death in mice显示文摘BACKGROUND:Various molecular mechanisms of cell death following traumatic brain injury have been previously described.However,the time course of cell death remains unclear.TUNEL and Fluoro-Jade B labeling have been widely used to label apoptotic cells and neuronal degeneration.Propidium iodide (PI) functions as a biomarker of cell death in vivo.OBJECTIVE:To explore the role of PI labeling compared to TUNEL and Fluoro-Jade B staining for detecting neural cell death,and to observe time course of traumatic brain injury-induced cell death in mice.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,animal experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Aging and Nervous Diseases,Soochow University from September 2007 to December 2008.MATERIALS:PI (B1221) was purchased from Sigma,USA.TUNEL kit was purchased from Roche Molecular Biochemicals,USA.Fluoro-Jade B was purchased from Chemicon,USA.METHODS:A total of 70 healthy,male,Kunming mice were randomly assigned to sham-surgery (n=5) and model (n=65) groups.Traumatic brain injury was established using the controlled cortical impact method.PI was intraperitoneally injected at 1 hour prior to animal sacrifice.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:TUNEL,Fluoro-Jade B,and PI-positive cells were quantified using a double-labeling method to determine the time course of traumatic brain injury-induced cell death.RESULTS:PI labeled cells in an earlier phase of cell death than TUNEL and Fluoro-Jade B labeling.PI-positive cells were observed immediately following injury,and the numbers rapidly increased in injured brain areas at 1 hour,peaked at 24-48 hours,and subsequently decreased at 3-21 days post-injury.TUNEL-labeled cells were significantly increased at 12 hours,while Fluoro-Jade B-labeled cells were increased at 6 hours after injury,with cells still visible at 6-48 hours post-injury.Moreover,a greater number of PI-positive cells were observed compared to TUNEL-and Fluoro-Jade B-labeled cells.CONCLUSION:PI labeling is more sensitive and reliable than TUNEL and Fluoro-Jade B staining for detecting cell death following traumatic brain injury.Moreover,PI labeling can function as a reliable marker to estimate the entire time course of cell death.Chengliang Luo Xiping Chen Hong Ni Qianqian Li Rui Yang Yuxia Sun Guangyou Zhu Luyang Tao 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,9:6

10Dissecting human embryonic skeletal stem cell ontogeny by single-cell transcriptomic and functional analyses显示文摘Human skeletal stem cells(SSCs)have been discovered in fetal and adult long bones.However,the spatiotemporal ontogeny of human embryonic SSCs during early skeletogenesis remains elusive.Here we map the transcriptional landscape of human limb buds and embryonic long bones at single-cell resolution to address this fundamental question.We found remarkable heterogeneity within human limb bud mesenchyme and epithelium,and aligned them along the proximal-distal and anterior-posterior axes using known marker genes.Osteo-chondrogenic progenitors first appeared in the core limb bud mesenchyme,which give rise to multiple populations of stem/progenitor cells in embryonic long bones undergoing endochondral ossification.Importantly,a perichondrial embryonic skeletal stem/progenitor cell(eSSPC)subset was identified,which could self-renew and generate the osteochondral lineage cells,but not adipocytes or hematopoietic stroma.eSSPCs are marked by the adhesion molecule CADM1 and highly enriched with FOXP1/2 transcriptional network.Interestingly,neural crest-derived cells with similar phenotypic markers and transcriptional networks were also found in the sagittal suture of human embryonic calvaria.Taken together,this study revealed the cellular heterogeneity and lineage hierarchy during human embryonic skeletogenesis,and identified distinct skeletal stem/progenitor cells that orchestrate endochondral and intramembranous ossification.Jian He Jing Yan Jianfang Wang Liangyu Zhao Qian Xin Yang Zeng Yuxi Sun Han Zhang Zhijie Bai Zongcheng Li Yanli Ni Yandong Gong Yunqiao Li Han He Zhilei Bian Yu Lan Chunyu Ma Lihong Bian Heng Zhu Bing Liu Rui Yue 2021Cell Research2021,31,7:5

12Analyses of a Glycine max Degradome Library Identify microRNA Targets and MicroRNAs that Trigger Secondary SiRNA Biogenesis显示文摘Plant microRNAs (miRNAs) regulate gene expression mainly by guiding cleavage of target mRNAs. In this study, a degradome library constructed from different soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) tissues was deep-sequenced. 428 potential targets of small interfering RNAs and 25 novel miRNA families were identified. A total of 211 potential miRNA targets, including 174 conserved miRNA targets and 37 soybean-specific miRNA targets, were identified. Among them, 121 targets were first discovered in soybean. The signature distribution of soybean primary miRNAs (pri-miRNAs) showed that most pri-miRNAs had the characteristic pattern of Dicer processing. The biogenesis of TAS3 small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) was conserved in soybean, and nine Auxin Response Factors were identified as TAS3 siRNA targets. Twenty-three miRNA targets produced secondary small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) in soybean. These targets were guided by five miRNAs: gma-miR393, gma-miR1508, gma-miR1510, gma-miR1514, and novel-11. Multiple targets of these secondary siRNAs were detected. These 23 miRNA targets may be the putative novel TAS genes in soybean. 14Cell behaviors on surface of pure tantalum with nano-dimpled structure显示文摘Tantalum exhibits excellent biocompatibility and good chemical stability, which has been employed in dental and orthopedic applications.The local microenvironment of the surface of implants influence determines the surrounding cell responses.In this work, nano-dimpled structure on the surface of pure tantalum was fabricated by electrochemical anodization.The surface morphology of the nano-dimpled structure was observed, and the dimensions of the nano-dimpled structure were measured by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The surface roughness of the sample with nano-dimpled structure was measured by atomic force microscopy(AFM).The results show that the diameter of nano-dimpled ranges from 40 to 180 nm, and the higher the applied voltage, the larger the diameter.Moreover, nano-dimpled structure has good hydrophilicity.In vitro results show that nano-dimpled structure can promote the adhesion and proliferation of mouse cranial anterior bone(MC-3T3-E1) cells.The filopodia of MC-3T3-E1 cells can be fully extended on this nano-dimpled structure.On the surface of the nano-dimpled structure with a dimple size of 40 nm, the cells have the longest aspect ratio.The small dimple size of the nanodimpled structure is beneficial to cell proliferation and osteogenic differentiation.Jun-Wei Ma Rui Zan Wen-Zhi Chen Jia-Hua Ni Xiao-Nong Zhang 2019Rare Metals2019,38,6:4

16Low-Complexity Joint Channel Estimation and Symbol Detection for OFDMA Systems显示文摘In this paper,we propose a joint channel estimation and symbol detection(JCESD)algorithm relying on message-passing algorithms(MPA)for orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA)systems.The channel estimation and symbol detection leverage the framework of expectation propagation(EP)and belief propagation(BP)with the aid of Gaussian approximation,respectively.Furthermore,to reduce the computation complexity involved in channel estimation,the matrix inversion is transformed into a series of diagonal matrix inversions through the Sherman-Morrison formula.Simulation experiments show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the pilot overhead by about 50%,compared with the traditional linear minimum mean square error(LMMSE)algorithm,and can approach to the bit error rate(BER)performance bound of perfectly known channel state information within 0.1 dB.Rui Xin Zuyao Ni Sheng Wu Linling Kuang Chunxiao Jiang 2019China Communications2019,16,7:4
17Dynamic Stability Analysis of Wedge in Rock Slope Based on Kinetic Vector Method显示文摘A new method(kinetic vector method, KVM) is presented for analyzing the dynamic stability of wedge in rock slope. The dynamic analysis is carried out based on three dimensional distinct element code(3DEC), and the kinetic inertial force of the wedge under seismic loading can be obtained via calculating the net vectorial nodal force of the finite difference grid. Then, the factor of safety(FOS) of the wedge can be calculated based on limit equilibrium method(LEM) at each dynamic analysis step, therefore time series of the FOS for whole earthquake process can be obtained. For the purpose of evaluating the entire dynamic stability of the wedge, dynamic factor of safety(DFOS) is proposed and defined as a numerical value corresponding with a given rate of probability guarantee based on reliability theory. Consequently, the KVM inherits the merits of the LEM and also has fully nonlinear dynamic analysis capabilities, and the feasibility and correctness of the KVM are tested by an example given by Hoek and Bray(1981). 18Controlled release of hydrogen by implantation of magnesium induces P53-mediated tumor cells apoptosis显示文摘Hydrogen has been used to suppress tumor growth with considerable efficacy.Inhalation of hydrogen gas and oral ingestion of hydrogen-rich saline are two common systemic routes of hydrogen administration.We have developed a topical delivery method of hydrogen at targeted sites through the degradation of magnesium-based biomaterials.However,the underlying mechanism of hydrogen’s role in cancer treatment remains ambiguous.Here,we investigate the mechanism of tumor cell apoptosis triggered by the hydrogen released from magnesium-based biomaterials.We find that the localized release of hydrogen increases the expression level of P53 tumor suppressor proteins,as demonstrated by the in vitro RNA sequencing and protein expression analysis.Then,the P53 proteins disrupt the membrane potential of mitochondria,activate autophagy,suppress the reactive oxygen species in cancer cells,and finally result in tumor suppression.The anti-tumor efficacy of magnesium-based biomaterials is further validated in vivo by inserting magnesium wire into the subcutaneous tumor in a mouse.We also discovered that the minimal hydrogen concentration from magnesium wires to trigger substantial tumor apoptosis is 91.2μL/mm^(3)per day,which is much lower than that required for hydrogen inhalation.Taken together,these findings reveal the release of H2 from magnesium-based biomaterial exerts its anti-tumoral activity by activating the P53-mediated lysosome-mitochondria apoptosis signaling pathway,which strengthens the therapeutic potential of this biomaterial as localized anti-tumor treatment.Rui Zan Hao Wang Weijie Cai Jiahua Ni Berengere J.C.Luthringer-Feyerabend Wenhui Wang Hongzhou Peng Weiping Ji Jun Yan Jiazeng Xia Yang Song Xiaonong Zhang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,3:3
19Fluidized-bed pyrolysis of waste bamboo显示文摘Bamboo was a popular material substituting for wood,especially for one-off commodity in China. In order to recover energy and materials from waste bamboo,the basic characteristics of bamboo pyrolysis were studied by a thermogravimetric analyzer. It implied that the reaction began at 190~210 °C,and the percentage of solid product deceased from about 25% to 17% when temperature ranged from 400 °C to 700 °C. A lab-scale fluidized-bed furnace was setup to research the detailed properties of gaseous,liquid and solid products respectively. When temperature increased from 400 °C to 700 °C,the mass percent of solid product decreased from 27% to 17% approximately,while that of syngas rose up from 19% to 35%. When temperature was about 500°C,the percentage of tar reached the top,about 31%. The mass balance of these experiments was about 93%~95%. 20EDIL3 depletion suppress epithelial-mesenchymal transition of lens epithelial cells via transforming growth factor β pathway显示文摘AIM: To study the effect of discoidin I-like domaincontaining protein 3(EDIL3) depletion on the proliferation and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT) in human lens epithelial cells(LECs). METHODS: RNA interference was used to inhibit the expression of EDIL3 in human LECs in vitro. The morphology of cells was observed using an inverted microscope. Cell proliferation was assessed using Ed U kit. Cell migration was investigated using Transwell chamber and EMT of LECs was assessed using confocal microscope and Western blotting. The transforming growth factor β(TGFβ) pathway was investigated using Western blotting. RESULTS: The data showed that silencing EDIL3 expression changed LECs morphology and suppressed LECs proliferation(P<0.05) and migration(P<0.01). Furthermore, the result of Western blotting showed that EDIL3 depletion reduced the expression of α-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)(P<0.001) and vimentin(P<0.01), while increased the expression of E-cadherin(P<0.001). EDIL3 depletion could suppress the phosphorylation of Smad2(P<0.01) and Smad3(P<0.01) and the activation of exracellular signal regulated kinase(ERK)(P<0.05).
