| 2 | Hybrid-Traffic-Detour Based Load Balancing for Onboard Routing in LEO Satellite Networks显示文摘To deal with the dynamic and imbalanced traffic requirements in Low Earth Orbit satellite networks, several distributed load balancing routing schemes have been proposed. However, because of the lack of global view, these schemes may lead to cascading congestion in regions with high volume of traffic. To solve this problem, a Hybrid-Traffic-Detour based Load Balancing Routing(HLBR) scheme is proposed, where a Long-Distance Traffic Detour(LTD) method is devised and coordinates with distributed traffic detour method to perform self-adaptive load balancing. The forwarding path of LTD is acquired by the Circuitous Multipath Calculation(CMC) based on prior geographical information, and activated by the LTDShift-Trigger(LST) through real-time congestion perception. | 9 | Possible South-Dipping Mesozoic Subduction at Southern Tethys Ocean-Constrained from Global Tectonic Reconstructions and Seismic Tomography显示文摘The evolution of the Tethys Ocean involved several episodes of ocean opening(including the Paleo-Tethys and Neo-Tethys) along its southern margin as terranes rifting away from eastern Gondwana. These oceans were terminated by well observed north-dipping subduction as the same terranes accreted to southern Eurasia. However, the presence of south-dipping subduction, though geologically proposed by numerous studies, have generally been omitted in the reconstruction of Tethyan evolution. Here, we synthesize the Mesozoic south-dipping subduction evolutions in the global reconstruction and focus on two potential events located along the northern edges of Southwest Borneo Block and the Woyla Arc. We next evaluate their slab volumes after thermal diffusion in the current mantle. Fast velocity anomalies in the mantle beneath the same region are then converted to cold anomalies and their volumes are further estimated and compared to the volumes evaluated from these two Mesozoic south-dipping subduction. We further identify seismic fast velocity anomalies likely relevant to slab remnants of south-dipping Tethyan subduction in the present-day mantle beneath the Indian ocean and West Australia, and link them to arc systems in plate reconstructions. In addition, one more tectonic scenario relevant to the north-dipping subduction in our study region is also examined. We speculate the relationship and evolution between such south-dipping subduction and north-dipping subduction in the south of Tethys Oceans. | 11 | Global health governance for travel health: lessons learned from thecoronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreaks in large cruise ships显示文摘Background: The outbreak and global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) attracts a great deal ofattentions to the problem of travel health. Cruise tourism is increasingly popular, with an estimated 30 millionpassengers transported on cruise ships worldwide each year. Safeguarding the health of cruise travelers duringthe entire travel is of ultimate importance for both the industry and global public health.Objective: This study aimed to explore the challenges and opportunities in travel health from the perspective ofglobal health governance.Methods: The global governance framework including problems, values, tools or regulations, and actors relatedto travel health were used to analyze the issues involved.Results: Up to April 2020, nearly thirty cruise ship voyages reported COVID-19 cases. The Diamond Princess,Grand Princess and Ruby Princess cruise ship had over 1,400 total reported COVID-19 cases, and more than 30deaths. A community with a common future in travel health is the core value of global health governance fortravel health. The travel-related international regulations, including the International Health Regulation (IHR[2005]), United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the International Maritime Organization(IMO) conventions should be further updated to deal with the travel health problems. The roles andresponsibilities and the cooperation mechanisms of different actors are not clear in relation to the public healthemergencies during the travel.Conclusion: Travel health transcends national borders and involves multilevel actors, thus needs globalcooperation and governance. Regulations and legislation at global and country level are required to preventlarge-scale humanitarian crisis on travel health. | 12 | Dual bound states in the continuum enhanced second harmonic generation with transition metal dichalcogenides monolayer显示文摘The emergence of two dimensional(2D)materials has opened new possibilities for exhibiting second harmonic genera-tion(SHG)at the nanoscale,due to their remarkable optical response related to stable excitons at room temperature.However,the ultimate atomic-scale interaction length with light makes the SHG of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides(TM-Ds)monolayers naturally weak.Here,we propose coupling a monolayer of TMDs with a photonic grating slab that works with doubly resonant bound states in the continuum(BIC).The BIC slabs are designed to exhibit a pair of BICs,reson-ant with both the fundamental wave(FW)and the second harmonic wave(SHW).Firstly,the spatial mode matching can be fulfilled by tilting FW's incident angle.We theoretically demonstrate that this strategy leads to more than four orders of magnitude enhancement of SHG efficiency than a sole monolayer of TMDs,under a pump light intensity of 0.1 GW/cm^(2).Moreover,we demonstrate that patterning the TMDs monolayer can further enhance the spatial overlap coefficient,which leads to an extra three orders of magnitude enhancement of SHG efficiency.These results demonstrate remarkable pos-sibilities for enhancing SHG with nonlinear 2D materials,opening many opportunities for chip-based light sources,nano-lasers,imaging,and biochemical sensing. | Peilong Hong Lei Xu Mohsen Rahmani | 2022 | Opto-Electronic Advances2022,5,7: | 2 |

| 15 | Overexpression of the ThTPS gene enhanced salt and osmotic stress tolerance in Tamarix hispida显示文摘Trehalose is a non-reducing disaccharide with high stability and strong water absorption properties that can improve the resistance of organisms to various abiotic stresses.Trehalose-6-phosphate synthase(TPS)plays important roles in trehalose metabolism and signaling.In this study,the full-length cDNA of ThTPS was cloned from Tamarix hispida Willd.A phylogenetic tree including ThTPS and 11 AtTPS genes from Arabidopsis indicated that the ThTPS protein had a close evolutionary relationship with AtTPS7.However,the function of At TPS7 has not been determined.To analyze the abiotic stress tolerance function of ThTPS,the expression of ThTPS in T.hispida under salt and drought stress and JA,ABA and GA3 hormone stimulation was monitored by qRT-PCR.The results show that ThTPS expression was clearly induced by all five of these treatments at one or more times,and salt stress caused particularly strong induction of Th TPS in the roots of T.hispida.The ThTPS gene was transiently overexpressed in T.hispida.Both physiological indexes and staining results showed that ThTPS gene overexpression increased salt and osmotic stress tolerance in T.hispida.Overall,the Th TPS gene can respond to abiotic stresses such as salt and drought,and its overexpression can significantly improve salt and osmotic tolerance.These findings establish a foundation to better understand the responses of TPS genes to abiotic stress in plants. | Peilong Wang Xiaojin Lei Jiaxin Lü Caiqiu Gao | 2022 | Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,1: | 1 |
| 16 | Effect of vanadium content on hydrogen storage property in Ti-V-Cr alloys显示文摘The effect of vanadium content on the microstructure and hydrogen absorption/desorption properties in Ti-V-Cr alloys was studied. The results show that with the increase of vanadium content from 5at.%, 10at.% to 35at.%, the hydrogen absorption capacity increases gradually from 1.14wt.%, 1.57wt.% to 2.84wt.%, and the hydrogen desorption capacity also increase from 0.43, 0.64, to 1.59. This indicates that the alloy with 35at.% vanadium content has the most optimum hydrogen storage capacity among these alloys. The microstructure observation also indicates that the alloy with 35at.% vanadium turns to be the single-phase alloy of the BCC solid solution. Furthermore, with the increase of vanadium content the pressure plateau becomes more distinguishing and shifts to lower pressure level gradually. | 20 | A comparison of the strength and position variability of the Kuroshio Extension SST front显示文摘This study compares the seasonal and interannual-to-decadal variability in the strength and position of the Kuroshio Extension front(KEF)using high-resolution satellite-derived sea surface temperature(SST)and sea surface height(SSH)data.Results show that the KEF strength has an obvious seasonal variation that is similar at different longitudes,with a stronger(weaker)KEF during the cold(warm)season.However,the seasonal variation in the KEF position is relatively weak and varies with longitude.In contrast,the low-frequency variation of the KEF position is more distinct than that of the KEF strength even though they are well correlated.On both seasonal and interannual-to-decadal time scales,the western part of the KEF(142°–144°E)has the greatest variability in strength,while the eastern part of the KEF(149°–155°E)has the greatest variability in position.In addition,the relationships between wind-forced Rossby waves and the low-frequency variability in the KEF strength and position are also discussed by using the statistical analysis methods and a wind-driven hindcast model.A positive(negative)North Pacific Oscillation(NPO)-like atmospheric forcing generates positive(negative)SSH anomalies over the central North Pacific.These oceanic signals then propagate westward as Rossby waves,reaching the KE region about three years later,favoring a strengthened(weakened)and northward(southward)-moving KEF. | Peilong Yu Lifeng Zhang Mingyang Liu Quanjia Zhong Yongchui Zhang Xin Li | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,5: | 1 |
