3Dual-polarization programmable metasurface modulator for near-field information encoding and transmission显示文摘Controlling the polarization state of electromagnetic waves is an important topic in microwaves due to the enormous application potential in radar technology and mobile communications. Here, we propose a programmable metasurface based on single-pole double-throw switches to realize multifunctional polarization conversions.A structure of the double-sided metallic pattern is adopted in the metasurface, in which a novel double-pole double-throw hub is achieved to guide the energy direction. Such a mechanism successfully induces multiple transmission channels into the metasurface structure for functional design. By controlling the states of the switches with a field programmable gate array, the x-and y-polarizations of the incident waves can be efficiently modulated into linear co-and cross-polarizations of transmitted waves, suggesting a higher degree of freedom on wave manipulations. The proposed metasurface can be developed as a near-field information encoder to transmit binary coding sequence according to the energy distribution. Character transmissions are realized by programming binary ASCII codes on the transmitted fields. Nine supercells on the metasurface can encode 9-bit binary information in one frame of near-field imaging, which can be switched in real time with high speed. 4Optimal Waist Circumference Cut-off values for Identifying Metabolic Risk Factors in Middle-aged and Elderly Subjects in Shandong Province of China显示文摘Objective To study the optimal waist circumference(WC) cut-off values for identifying metabolic risk factors in middle-aged and elderly subjects in Shandong Province of China. Methods A total of 2 873 men and 5 559 women were included in this cross-sectional study. Metabolic syndrome(MetS) was diagnosed according to the definition of Chinese Diabetes Society in 2004. The relation between WC and MetS was analyzed by multivariate logistic regression analysis. The optimal WC cut-off values were identified using the area under the ROC curve and the different diagnostic criteria for central obesity were compared. Results The WC was the risk factor for MetS independent of BMI, blood glucose, blood lipid, and blood pressure. The optimal WC cut-off value was 83.8 cm and 91.1 cm for identifying MetS in women and men, respectively. Compared with 80 cm and 85 cm for women and men, 85 cm and 90 cm had a higher Youden index for identifying all metabolic risk factors and MetS in women and men. 5Risk or Beneficial Factors Associated with Unplanned Revascularization Risk Following Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Large Single-Center Data显示文摘Objective To analyze factors associated with unplanned revascularization(UR) risk in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD) who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods A total of 10,640 cases with CAD who underwent PCI were analyzed. Multivariate COX regressions and competing risk regressions were applied.Results The patients who underwent UR following PCI in 30 days, 1, and 2 years accounted for 0.3%,6.5%, and 8.7%, respectively. After multivariate adjustment, the number of target lesions [hazard ratio(HR) = 2.320;95% confidence interval(CI): 1.643–3.277;P < 0.001], time of procedure(HR = 1.006;95%CI: 1.001–1.010;P = 0.014), body mass index(HR = 1.104;95% CI: 1.006–1.210;P = 0.036), incomplete revascularization(ICR)(HR = 2.476;95% CI: 1.030–5.952;P = 0.043), and age(HR = 1.037;95% CI:1.000–1.075;P = 0.048) were determined as independent risk factors of 30-day UR. Factors, including low-molecular-weight heparin or fondaparinux(HR = 0.618;95% CI: 0.531–0.719;P < 0.001), secondgeneration durable polymer drug-eluting stent(HR = 0.713;95% CI: 0.624–0.814;P < 0.001), left anterior descending artery involvement(HR = 0.654;95% CI: 0.530–0.807;P < 0.001), and age(HR = 0.992;95%CI: 0.985–0.998;P = 0.014), were independently associated with decreased two-year UR risk. 6Adsorption desulfurization of model gasoline by metal–organic framework Ni3(BTC)2显示文摘This work presented the synthesis of Ni-based metal-organic framework material with a paddle-wheel structure Ni3(BTC)2 (Ni-BTC) and its application in thiophene (TP) adsorption from gasoline distillate by batch method. Adsorption isotherms of TP, cyclohexene, and toluene in cyclohexane onto Ni-BTC were conducted at 298-308 K to interpret the different effect of cyclohexene and toluene on TP adsorption. The results showed that, compared w让h cyclohexene, toluene addition in model gasoline led to a more evident decline in sulfur capacity of Ni-BTC, which is opposite to isostructural HKUST-1. The adsorption isotherms of TP, cyclohexene and toluene fit Langmuir model, S-type model and Temkin model well, respectively, indicating that the adsorption mechanisms of TP and the two competitors are different from one another The adsorption capacities on Ni-BTC followed the order of cyclohexene < toluene < TP at the same equilibrium concentrations, implying the order of the adsorption affinities, which is in good agreement with the different extent of influence by the two competitors. The enthalpy of TP adsorption on Ni-BTC was estimated to be -80.01 kj/mol, almost twice that on HKUST-1. The poor reusability of Ni-BTC in batch experiment, which is owing to its sensitivity to the air, can be prevented from regenerating used Ni-BTC in fixed-bed reactor by N2 flow. 10Low-loading gold in situ doped with sulfur by biomolecule-assisted approach for promoted electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction显示文摘For electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction(CO_(2)RR),CO_(2)-to-CO conversion is considered an ideal route towards carbon neutrality for practical applications.Gold(Au)is known as a promising catalyst with high selectivity for CO;however,it suffers from high cost and low mass-specific activity.In this study,we design and prepare a catalyst featuring uniform S-doped Au nanoparticles on N-doped carbon support(denoted as S-Au/NC)by an in situ synthesis strategy using biomolecules.The S-Au/NC displays high activity and selectivity for CO in CO_(2)RR with a Au loading as low as 0.4 wt.%.The Faradaic efficiency of CO(FECO)for S-Au/NC is above 95%at−0.75 V(vs.RHE);by contrast,the FECO of Au/NC(without S)is only 58%.The Tafel slope is 77.4 mV·dec−1,revealing a favorable kinetics process.Furthermore,S-Au/NC exhibits an excellent long-term stability for CO_(2)RR.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the S dopant can boost the activity by reducing the free energy change of the potential-limiting step(formation of the*COOH intermediate).This work not only demonstrates a model catalyst featuring significantly reduced use of noble metals,but also establishes an in situ synthesis strategy for preparing high-performance catalysts.Meijie Tan Xiaoqian Han Sen Ru Chao Zhang Zhouru Ji Zhaolin Shi Guomeng Qiao Yunying Wang Ruixue Cui Qiquan Luo Jiqing Jiao Yaguang Li Tongbu Lu 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:1

19Novel Zn-doped CuO nanocomposites inhibit tumor growth in vitro and in vivo:role of reactive oxygen species-dependent apoptosis and autophagy cross-linked by NF-kappaB pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE Zn-doped CuO nanocomposites(nZn-CuO NPs) are novel nanoparticles synthesized by sonochemical method.This study aimed to further investigate the antitumor effects and mechanism of nZn-CuO NPs,as well as the exact mechanism of reactive oxygen species(ROS) on nZn-CuO NPs-induced death using N-acetylcysteine(NAC).METHODS The antitumor effects of nZn-CuO NPs were evaluated by MTS assay and orthotopic transplantation tumor model in nude mice.The effects of nZn-CuO NPs with or without NAC on ROS production,DNA damage,apoptosis,mitochondrial damage,autophagy,lysosome impairment,and ER and Golgi stress were determined.Also,western blot was used to detect apoptosis and autophagy related proteins,as well as NF-κB pathway related proteins.RESULTS nZn-CuO NPs significantly inhibit tumor growth both in vitro and in vivo.nZn-CuO NPs were able to cause cytotoxicity,ROS production,DAN damage mitochondrial damage,apoptosis,and autophagy,and NAC can attenuate them.Further studies showed that nZn-CuO NPs induced changes of apoptosis,autophagy and NF-κB pathway related proteins,and NAC can restore them.CONCLUSION Overall,our data demonstrated that nZn-CuO NPs could inhibit tumor growth both in vitro and in vivo by ROS-dependent regulation of apoptosis and autophagy,which might be cross-linked by NF-κB pathways.Huan-li XU Ru YUAN Xiao LI Cong LI Gan QIAO Xiu-kun LIN 2018中国药理学与毒理学杂志2018,32,4:0
20Impact of antagonist peptides and chelators on the diagnostic performance of PET/CT using gallium-68 labeled somatostatin receptor antagonists显示文摘Objective:Different SSTR2 antagonists have been developed.This study aims to evaluate the impact of different peptides and chelators on the diagnostic performance of SSTR2 antagonists in well-differentiated NETs.Methods:In this prospective study,participants were equally randomized into two arms:Arm A,participants would undergo a whole-body 68Ga-NODAGA-LM3 PET/CT scan on the 1st day and 68Ga-DOTA-LM3 PET/CT scan on the 2nd day;Arm B,participants would undergo a whole-body 68Ga-NODAGA-LM3 PET/CT scan on the 1st day and 68Ga-NODAGA-JR11 PET/CT scan on the 2nd day.Biodistribution in normal organs,lesion detection ability,and tumor uptakes were compared within each Arm.Results:A total of 40 participants(age,49.5±13.4,21 men),20 in each arm,were recruited in the study.In Arm A,68Ga-DOTA-LM3 showed lower background.However,the lesion detection ability(overall lesion detected,445 versus 548,P=0.005)and the lesion uptake(overall lesions SUVmax,19.8±17.2 versus 35.3±28.8,P<0.001)was significantly lower than those of 68Ga-NODAGA-LM3.In Arm B,both 68Ga-NODAGA-LM3 and 68Ga-NODAGA-JR11 showed similar biodistribution and lesion uptake(SUVmax,28.5±23.8 versus 25.0±20.0,P<0.001)despite minor differences.The lesion detection ability was the same between these two tracers(overall lesion detected,503 versus 503).Conclusions:The diagnostic performance of SSTR2 antagonists was sensitive to chelators.Both 68Ga-NODAGA-LM3 and 68Ga-NODAGA-JR11 outperformed 68Ga-DOTA-LM3 with higher lesion uptake and detection ability,of which 68Ga-NODAGA-LM3 had marginally but significantly higher lesion uptake.Haiqun Xing Wenjia Zhu Yuejuan Cheng Qiao Yang Ru Jia Hong Zhao Chunmei Bai Li Huo Wenming Wu 2022Journal of Pancreatology2022,5,3:0
