1Effect of Curing Conditions on the Durability of Ultrahigh Performance Concrete under Flexural Load显示文摘We experimentally investigated the effect of curing conditions on the durability of UHPC under flexuralload.Moreover,the mechanisms of the effect of curing conditions were revealed from the microstructuralpoint of view with environmentalscanning electron microscopy(ESEM)and X-ray computerized tomography(X-ray CT).The experimentalresults show that the flexuralload has negative influence on the durability of UHPC,but UHPC stillexhibits excellent durability under flexuralload.Besides,the curing conditions do show influences on the durability of UHPC.Compared with standard and steam curing,oven curing led to a lower chloride resistance and freeze-thaw performance of UHPC.The microstructure of UHPC paste was detected with ESEM.It is revealed that,compared with standard and steam cured UHPC,the lower reaction degree and internalmicrocracks are the causes for the lower chloride resistance of oven cured UHPC.The defects distribution in UHPC before and after freeze-thaw action was investigated with X-ray CT.The number of defects in oven cured UHPC increases the fastest during the freeze-thaw action due to its more defective顾春平 SUN Wei 郭丽萍 WANG Qiannan 2016Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,2:11
2Retardant effect of dihydroartemisinin on ulcerative colitis in a JAK2/STAT3-dependent manner显示文摘Dihydroartemisinin(DHA)is a semi-synthetic derivative and the main active metabolite of artemisinin.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of DHA on the ulcerative colitis(UC)in both in vivo and in vitro models.Weight,survival rate,colon length,and Disease Activity Index score were used to evaluate the severity of colitis.Reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were used to detect the expressions of cytokines interleukin(IL)-1,IL-1β,IL-4,IL-6,IL-10,IL-12,and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α).The expressions of Janus kinase 2(JAK2)and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3),and the phosphorylation of JAK2(p-JAK2)and STAT3(p-STAT3),were measured by western blot analysis.Western blot analysis and immunohistochemistry were used to detect the expressions of tight junction proteins.We found that the weights and colon lengths of mice in dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)+DHA group were significantly lower and longer than those in the DSS group,respectively.Compared with those in the DSS group,the expressions of IL-1β,IL-6,IL-17,and TNF-αin the DSS+DHA and DSS+5-aminosalicylic acid(5-ASA)groups were decreased,while the expressions of IL-4 and IL-10 were significantly upregulated.DHA largely increased the expressions of zonula occludens-1 and occludin.Western blot analysis and/or immunohistochemical staining analysis showed that the expressions of JAK2,STAT3,p-JAK2,and p-STAT3 in DSS+DHA and DSS+5-ASA groups were significantly lower than those in DSS group.DHA has a specific therapeutic effect on UC.The anti-inflammatory mechanism of DHA is related to the blockage of the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway.These findings provide evidence that DHA may be a useful drug and is expected to become a promising new treatment for human UC.Mingrui Jiang Guangjun Zhong Yichao Zhu Liuhua Wang Yuzhe He Qiannan Sun Xiaoqing Wu Xiaolan You Sujun Gao Dong Tang Daorong Wang 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,9:6
3Facile fabrication of a biocompatible composite gel with sustained release of aspirin for bone regeneration显示文摘Hydrogels are extracellular-matrix-like biomimetic materials that have wide biomedical applications in tissue engineering and drug delivery.However,most hydrogels cannot simultaneously fulfill the mechanical and cell compatibility requirements.In the present study,we prepared a semi-interpenetrating network composite gel(CG)by incorporating short chain chitosan(CS)into a covalent tetra-armed poly(ethylene glycol)network.In addition to satisfying physicochemical,mechanics,biocompatibility,and cell affinity requirements,this CG easily encapsulated acetylsalicylic acid(ASA)via electrostatic interactions and chain entanglement,achieving sustained release for over 14 days and thus promoting periodontal ligament stem cell(PDLSC)proliferation and osteogenic differentiation.In vivo studies corroborated the capacity of PDLSCs and ASA-laden CG to enhance new bone regeneration in situ using a mouse calvarial bone defect model.This might be attributed to PDLSCs and host mesenchymal stem cells expressing monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,which upregulated M2 macrophage recruitment and polarization in situ,indicating its appealing potential in bone tissue engineering.Yunfan Zhang Xueyu Dou Lingyun Zhang Hufei Wang Ting Zhang Rushui Bai Qiannan Sun Xing Wang Tingting Yu Decheng Wu Bing Han Xuliang Deng 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,5:2
4SMRT sequencing and ddPCR reveal the complexity of developmental trajectories and temporal dynamics of gut bifidobacterial communities in infants显示文摘Infant intestinal microbiome is closely linked with health and risk of disease. Bifidobacterium are important components of the infant gut and are known to confer various health effects on the host. However, few studies have described the precise composition and dynamics of early infant gut bifidobacterial communities. Thus, this was a pilot study aiming to describe the developmental trajectories and temporal dynamics of bifidobacterial communities in infants before 6 months of age. A total of 28 fecal samples from 4 infants(GF, ZZ, QM, TN, respectively)were collected and analyzed after 5, 15, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, and 180 days of birth by a bifidobacteria-target method(based on single-molecule real-time sequencing of partial bifidobacterial rpsK genes)in conjunction with droplet digital polymerase chain reaction(ddPCR). The infant fecal microbiota comprised a total of 11 bifidobacterial species, including 4 major species, i.e., B. dentium(37.35%), B. catenulatum(32.04%), B. breve(22.24%), and B. animalis(8.02%). The infant microbiota showed highly individualized developmental trajectories. The leading species for GF was B. catenulatum, with a relatively stable developmental trajectory. In ZZ, B. breve was enriched, and the developmental trajectory was rather fluctuating. The most abundant species for QM and TN was B. dentium. The developmental trajectory of B. dentium in QM showed a trend of gradual decrease, whereas an opposite trend was seen in samples of TN. The results of ddPCR confirmed large variations in quantities of bifidobacteria between infants and suggested discordances in temporal dynamics of bifidobacterial communities during the first half year of infancy. 5‘Plug-and-play’ plasmonic metafibers for ultrafast fibre lasers显示文摘Metafibers expand the functionalities of conventional optical fibres to unprecedented nanoscale light manipulations by integrating metasurfaces on the fibre tips,becoming an emerging light-coupling platform for both the nanoscience and fibre optics communities.Current metafibers remain proof-of-concept demonstrations that mostly explore isolated bare fibres owing to the lack of standard interfaces with universal fibre networks.Here,we develop methodologies for fabricating well-defined plasmonic metasurfaces directly on the end facets of commercial single-mode fibre jumpers using standard planar technologies and provide the first demonstration of their practical applications in the nonlinear plasmonic regime.Featuring plug-and-play connections with fibre circuitry and arbitrary metasurface landscapes,the metafibers with tunable plasmonic resonances are implemented into fibre laser cavities,yielding all-fibre sub-picosecond(minimum 513 fs)soliton mode locked lasers at optical wavelengths of 1.5μm and 2μm,demonstrating their unusual polarimetric nonlinear transfer functions and superior saturation absorption responses.The nanofabrication process flow is compatible with existing cleanroom technologies,offering metafibers an avenue to become a regular member of functionalised fibre components.This work paves the way toward the next generation of ultrafast lasers,optical frequency combs,and ultracompact‘all-in-fibre’optical systems.Lei Zhang Huiru Zhang Ni Tang Xiren Chen Fengjiang Liu Xiaoyu Sun Hongyan Yu Xinyu Sun Qiannan Jia Boqu Chen Benoit Cluzel Philippe Grelu Aurelien Coillet Feng Qiu Lei Ying Wei E.I.Sha Xiaofeng Liu Jianrong Qiu Ding Zhao Wei Yan Duanduan Wu Xiang Shen Jiyong Wang Min Qiu 2022Light(Advanced Manufacturing)2022,3,4:0
6Green synthesis of ceria powders with special physical properties by carbon dioxide carbonization显示文摘In order to improve the application values of Ce element, in this paper, rare earth chloride solution was used as raw material, the pH value was controlled by inorganic alkali, the ceria powders with special physical properties were prepared by carbon dioxide carbonization method. According to characterization of SEM, XRD, and TG-DSC, Ce(OH)3 prepared at pH = 7.5 exhibits smaller particle size than that prepared at other conditions. CeO_2 precursor obtained by direct carbonization of Ce(OH)3 shows smaller particle size and narrow size distribution, CeO_2 precursor forms at first by carbonization of Ce(OH)3 with the continuous addition of CO2 gas,and the chemical component is indicated to be Ce_2 O(CO_3)_2·6 H_2 O.Cubic phase CeO_2 powders are obtained by calcined at 750 ℃ for 4 h. The mean particle size D_(50) is0.941 μm, and particle size distribution is smaller than 1. The microscopic appearance is homogeneous,with a spherical-like shape and a grain size of 200-500 nm. The light quality characteristics of sedimentation volume and accumulation density are obviously better than those of carbonate precipitation products.
