2Endovascular treatment with or without intravenous alteplase for acute ischaemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion显示文摘Background and purpose It remains controversial if endovascular treatment(EVT)can improve the outcome of patients with acute basilar artery occlusion(BAO).This study aims to compare the functional outcomes between EVT with and without intravenous thrombolysis(IVT)first in patients who had acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)due to BAO.Methods Patients who had AIS with BAO who underwent EVT within 24 hours of onset were enrolled in this multicentre cohort study,and the efficacy and safety were compared between IVT+EVT and direct EVT.The primary outcome was 90-day functional independence.All outcomes were assessed with adjusted OR(aOR)from the multivariable logistic regression.In addition,a meta-analysis was performed on all recently published pivotal studies on functional independence after EVT in patients with BAO.Results Of 310 enrolled patients with BAO,241(78%)were treated with direct EVT and 69(22%)with IVT+EVT.Direct EVT was associated with a worse functional outcome(aOR,0.46(95%CI 0.24 to 0.85),p=0.01).IVT+EVT was associated with a lower percentage of patients who needed≥3 passes of stent retriever(10.14%vs 20.75%).The meta-analysis regression revealed a potential positive correlation between bridging with IVT first and functional independence(r=0.14(95%CI 0.05 to 0.24),p<0.01).Conclusions This study showed that compared with direct EVT,EVT with IVT first was associated with better functional outcomes in patients with BAO treated within 24 hours of onset.The meta-analysis demonstrated similar favourable efficacy of IVT first followed by EVT in patients with BAO.Ximing Nie David Wang Yuehua Pu Yufei Wei Qixuan Lu Hongyi Yan Xin Liu Lina Zheng Jingyi Liu Xinxuan Yang Yarong Ding Dacheng Liu Wanying Duan Zhe Zhang Zhonghua Yang Miao Wen Weibin Gu Xinyi Hou Xinyi Leng Yuesong Pan Zhongrong Miao Liping Liu 2022Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,3:10
3Predicting sRNAs and Their Targets in Bacteria显示文摘Bacterial small RNAs (sRNAs) are an emerging class of regulatory RNAs of about 40-500 nucleotides in length and, by binding to their target mRNAs or proteins, get involved in many biological processes such as sensing environmental changes and regulating gene expression. Thus, identification of bacterial sRNAs and their targets has become an important part of sRNA biology. Current strategies for discovery of sRNAs and their targets usually involve bioinformatics prediction followed by experimental validation, emphasizing a key role for bioinformatics prediction. Here, therefore, we provided an overview on prediction methods, focusing on the merits and limitations of each class of models. 4An Ultra‑Durable Windmill‑Like Hybrid Nanogenerator for Steady and Efficient Harvesting of Low‑Speed Wind Energy显示文摘Wind energy is one of the most promising and renewable energy sources;however,owing to the limitations of device structures,collecting low-speed wind energy by triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)is still a huge challenge.To solve this problem,an ultra-durable and highly efficient windmill-like hybrid nanogenerator(W-HNG)is developed.Herein,the W-HNG composes coupled TENG and electromagnetic generator(EMG)and adopts a rotational contact-separation mode.This unique design efficiently avoids the wear of friction materials and ensures a prolonged service life.Moreover,the generator group is separated from the wind-driven part,which successfully prevents rotation resistance induced by the friction between rotor and stator in the conventional structures,and realizes low-speed wind energy harvesting.Additionally,the output characteristics of TENG can be complementary to the different performance advantages of EMG to achieve a satisfactory power production.The device is successfully driven when the wind speed is 1.8 m s−1,and the output power of TENG and EMG can achieve 0.95 and 3.7 mW,respectively.After power management,the W-HNG has been successfully applied as a power source for electronic devices.This work provides a simple,reliable,and durable device for improved performance toward large-scale low-speed breeze energy harvesting.Ying Zhang Qixuan Zeng Yan Wu Jun Wu Songlei Yuan Dujuan Tan Chenguo Hu Xue Wang 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,12:6
5A flutter-effect-based triboelectric nanogenerator for breeze energy collection from arbitrary directions and self-powered wind speed sensor显示文摘Triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)have been developed rapidly into an efficient wind energy collection equipment.Reducing the frictionwear and energy loss in breeze energy collection is a research direction worthy of attention.Herein,a flutter-effect-based triboelectricnanogen erator(FE-TENG)is designed to collect the breeze energy at low wind speed from arbitrary directions.Distinguishing from previouswind-driven TENGs,the wind-driven part of this device is separated from the TENG units,which not only avoids the wear of friction layerscaused by direct wind contact but also reduces the energy loss,therefore,relatively stable electric outputs are obtained with Voc-281 V,Isc-13.4μA,Qsc-143 nC,and output power-4 mW at the wind speed of 4.5 m/s,respectively.In addition,a real-time wind speed monitoringsystem based on LabVIEW software with high sen sitivity and fast response to wind is achieved relying on the excellent linear relation shipbetween wind speed and electrical output signal.Furthermore,it has been successfully applied as power sources for portable electronics,about 170 commercial light-emitting devices(LEDs)are lighted and a digital watch is successfully driven at the wind speed of 2.9 m/s.This worknot only provides a new structure and idea for the future collection of clean and sustainable breeze energy from arbitrary directions but also hasgreat potential in the field of self-powered systems.Jie Hu Xianjie Pu Hongmei Yang Qixuan Zeng Qian Tang Dazhi Zhang Chenguo Hu Yi Xi 2019Nano Research2019,12,12:6

7Bisphenol A exposure alters release of immune and developmental modulators and expression of estrogen receptors in human fetal lung fibroblasts显示文摘Bisphenol A(BPA) has been shown to exert biological effects through estrogen receptor(ER)-dependent and ER-independent mechanisms. Recent studies suggest that prenatal exposure to BPA may increase the risk of childhood asthma. To investigate the underlying mechanisms in the actions of BPA, human fetal lung fibroblasts(h FLFs) were exposed to varying doses of BPA in culture for 24 hr. Effects of BPA on localization and uptake of BPA,cell viability, release of immune and developmental modulators, cellular localization and expression of ERα, ERβ and G-protein coupled estrogen receptor 30(GPR30), and effects of ERs antagonists on BPA-induced changes in endothelin-1(ET-1) release were examined.BPA at 0.01–100 μmol/L caused no changes in cell viability after 24 hr of exposure. h FLFs expresses all three ERs. BPA had no effects on either cellular distribution or protein expression of ERα, however, at 100 μmol/L(or 23 μmol/L intracellular BPA) increased ERβprotein levels in the cytoplasmic fractions and GPR 30 protein levels in the nuclear fractions.These paralleled with increased release of growth differentiation factor-15, decreased phosphorylation of nuclear factor kappa B p65 at serine 536, and decreased release of ET-1,interleukin-6, and interferon gamma-induced protein 10. ERs antagonists had no effects on BPA-induced decrease in ET-1 release. These data suggest that BPA at 100 μmol/L altered the release of immune and developmental modulators in h FLFs, which may negatively influence fetal lung development, maturation, and susceptibility to environmental stressors, although the role of BPA in childhood asthma remains to be confirmed in in vivo studies.Laziyan Mahemuti Qixuan Chen Melanie C. 10Biochar-based Solid Acids as Catalysts for Carbohydrate Hydrolysis: A Critical Review显示文摘Recently, increasing interest has been focused on the hydrolysis of carbohydrates to monosaccharides, among which, glucose and xylose as typical platform sugars can be used to produce chemicals and biofuels. As heterogeneous catalysts, solid acids have gained extensive attention for biomass biorefinery and could replace the conventional process owing to their excellent properties, including acceptable acidity and easy separation. In particular, biochar-based solid acids derived from biomass are promising for biomass conversion owing to the low-cost of feedstocks and the simple preparation procedure. Herein, we attempt to provide a critical overview of biochar-based solid acids for hydrolysis of carbohydrates into glucose and xylose. The preparation methods and properties of biochar-based catalysts as well as the influence of their properties on catalytic performance were discussed in detail. 15Nano-Medicine for Thrombosis:A Precise Diagnosis and Treatment Strategy显示文摘Thrombosis is a global health issue and one of the leading factors of death.However,its diagnosis has been limited to the late stages,and its therapeutic window is too narrow to provide reasonable and effective treatment.In addition,clinical thrombolytics suffer from a short half-life,allergic reactions,inactivation,and unwanted tissue hemorrhage.Nano-medicines have gained extensive attention in diagnosis,drug delivery,and photo/sound/magnetic-theranostics due to their convertible properties.Furthermore,diagnosis and treatment of thrombosis using nano-medicines have also been widely studied.This review summarizes the recent advances in this area,which revealed six types of nanoparticle approaches:(1)in vitro diagnostic kits using“synthetic biomarkers”;(2)in vivo imaging using nano-contrast agents;(3)targeted drug delivery systems using artificial nanoparticles;(4)microenvironment responsive drug delivery systems;(5)drug delivery systems using biological nanostructures;and(6)treatments with external irradiation.The investigations of nano-medicines are believed to be of great significance,and some of the advanced drug delivery systems show potential applications in clinical theranotics.Min Su Qixuan Dai Chuan Chen Yun Zeng Chengchao Chu Gang Liu 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,8:1
16A method of monitoring gas saturation in carbon dioxide injection heavy oil reservoirs by pulsed neutron logging technology显示文摘A method is proposed to characterize the fast neutron scattering cross-section ( s f) quantitatively by the combina-tion of inelastic gamma rays and captured gamma rays, so as to realize the gas saturation evaluation of CO_(2)-injected heavy oilreservoirs based on the three-de tector pulsed neutron logging technology. Factors influencing of the evaluation effect of thismethod are analyzed and the effectiveness of this method is verified by a simulation example. By using the Monte Carlo simu-lation method and the physical model of bulk-volume rock, the relationship between s f and CO_(2) saturation is studied, and thesaturation interpretation model is established. The influences of formation temperature and pressure, heavy oil density, bore-hole fluid and reservoir methane content on the evaluation results of CO_(2) saturation are analyzed. The results show that thecharacterization of s f by the combination of secondary gamma information can eliminate the influence of formation lithology,borehole fluid and methane content are the main factors affecting the quantitative monitoring of CO_(2) saturation, and the ef-fects of formation temperature and pressure and heavy oil density are negligible. 18Co-Production of High-Grade Dissolving Pulp,Furfural,and Lignin from Eucalyptus via Extremely Low Acid Pretreatment and Pulping Technologies and Catalysis显示文摘Hemicellulose and lignin are not reasonably utilized during the dissolved pulp preparation process.This work aimed to propose a process for the co-production of dissolving pulp,furfural,and lignin from eucalyptus.High-grade dissolving pulp was prepared from eucalyptus using a combination of extremely low acid(ELA)pretreatment,Kraft cooking,and elementary chlorine-free(ECF)bleaching.The obtained pre-hydrolysate was catalytic conversion into furfural in a biphasic system,and lignin during Kraft cooking and ECF was recovered.The process condition was discussed as well as the mass flow direction.The results showed that ELA pretreatment could effectively remove 80.1%hemicellulose.Compared with traditional hydrothermal pretreatment,the ELA pretreatment significantly increased the xylose yield from 5.05 to 14.18 g/L at 170℃ for 2 h,which had practical significance for furfural production.The 82.7%furfural yield and 82.9%furfural selectivity were obtained from xylose-rich pre-hydrolysate using NaCl as a phase modifier in a biphasic system with 4-methyl-2-pentanone(MIBK)as an organic phase by ion exchange resin catalysts at 190℃ for 2 h.Subsequently,the pretreated eucalyptus was subjected to Kraft cooking,and the optimal alkali amount was 14%.Then,the Kraft pulp was bleached using the O-D1-EP-D_(2) sequence,and dissolving pulp was obtained with an ISO brightness of 86.0%,viscosity of 463 mL/g,andα-cellulose content of 95.4%.The Kraft lignin which has a potential application was investigated by 2D-HSQC NMR and 31P NMR.The results showed that the S/G ratio of Kraft lignin was 1.93,and the content of phenolic hydroxyl groups was 2.53 mmol/g.Moreover,based on the above proposed process,30.5 g dissolving pulp,5.5 g furfural,and 21.2 g lignin per 100 g eucalyptus chips(oven dry)were produced.This research will provide new catalysis and pulping technical routes for dissolving pulp,furfural,and Kraft lignin products,which are in great demand in the chemical industry.Chengxiang Li Yue Wu Chunhui Zhang Yao Liu Qixuan Lin Junli Ren 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,6:1
19Single-atomic-site iron on N-doped carbon for chemoselective reduction of nitroarenes显示文摘A facile,gram-scale and sustainable approach has been established for the synthesis of single-atomic-site iron on N-doped carbon(Fe_(SA)@NC-20A)via the pyrolysis of aniline modified FeZn-ZIFs,in which the synthesis of zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIFs)can be accomplished in water at room temperature,and no acid etching is required.The as-synthesized catalyst exhibits better performance on the chemoselective hydrogenation of nitroarenes with a broad substrate scope(turnover frequency(TOF)up to 1,727 h^(-1),23 examples)than most of previously reported works.Based on high-angle annular dark field scanning transmission microscopy(HAADF-STEM)images in combination with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS),electron spin resonance(ESR),and Mossbauer spectroscopy,Fe is dispersed as single atoms via forming FeNx(x=4-6).This work not only determines the active sites of FesA@NC-20A for hydrogenation(FeN4),but also proposes tentative pathways for both N-H activation of hydrazine and the reduction of nitroarene on FeN4 site,both of which are the key steps for the hydrogenation of nitroarenes.In addition,this catalyst shows excellent stability,and no significant activity degradation is observed when recycling for 10 times or restoring in air for 2 months.Guoping Lu Kangkang Sun Yamei Lin Qixuan Du Jiawei Zhang Kui Wang Pengcheng Wang 2022Nano Research2022,15,1:1
20Indocyanine green-based nanodrugs: A portfolio strategy for precision medicine显示文摘As the sole cyanine dye approved by the Food and Drug Administration(FDA), indocyanine green(ICG) has been widely applied in solid tumor and metastases surgical navigation as well as malignant tissue destruction. The great performance of ICG benefits from excellent fluorescent properties in the near infrared region(NIR) and reactive oxygen species(ROS) or hyperthermia effects under irradiation. Nevertheless, some intrinsic limitations, such as unstable optical properties, concentration-dependent aggregation, proneness to photo-bleaching, and poor aqueous stability in vivo, severely restrict its further applications. To overcome these challenges, ICG-based nanodrugs(nanoICG), as one kind of portfolio strategy, could bridge the efficient cargo-carriers and ICG molecules to artificially improve their existing performance. In this mini-review, we will focus on the developed engineering strategies for nano-ICG formulation synthesis and their desired performance in tumor tracing and eradication.
