1Preliminary Scientific Results of Chang'E-1 Lunar Orbiter:Based on Payloads Detection Data in the First Phase显示文摘Chang'E-1 lunar Orbiter was launched by Long March 3A rocket from Xichang Satel-lite Launch Center at 18:05BT(Beijing Time) Oct.24,2007.It is the first step of its ambitious three-stage moon program,a new milestone in the Chinese space exploration history.The primary science objectives of Chang'E-1 lunar orbiter are to obtain three-Dimension(3D) stereo images of the lunar surface,to analyze the distribution and abundance of elements on the surface,to investigate the thickness of lunar soil,evaluate helium-3 resources and other characteristics,and to detect the space environment around the moon.To achieve the above four mission objectives,eight sets of scientific instruments are chosen as the payloads of the lunar orbiter,including a CCD stereo camera(CCD),a Sagnac-based interferometer spectrometer(ⅡM),a Laser Altimeter(LAM),a Microwave Radiometer(MRM),a Gamma-Ray Spectrometer(GRS),an X-ray spectrometer(XRS),a High-Energy Particle Detector(HPD),and two Solar Wind Ion Detectors(SWID).The detected data of the payloads show that all payloads work well.This paper introduces the status of payloads in the first phase and preliminary scientific results.OUYANG Ziyuan JIANG Jingshan LI Chunlai SUN Huixian ZOU Yongliao LIU Jianzhong LIU Jianjun ZHAO Baochang REN Xin YANG Jianfeng ZHANG Wenxi WANG Jianyu MOU Lingli CHANG Jin ZHANG Liyan WANG Huanyu LI Yongquan ZHANG Xiaohui ZHENG Yongchun WANG Shijin BIAN Wei 2008空间科学学报2008,28,5:24
2Experimental investigation on color variation mechanisms of structural light in Papilio maackii ménétriès butterfly wings显示文摘The body color in animals results from billions of years of their natural evolution in order to evade natural enemies, catch quarries or display themselves beauty, in-vestigation on mechanisms of structural light is an important aspect of bionics. Based on the phenomenon of Papilio maackii ménétriès’ blue scales changing into green ones immediately after dropping some alcohol aqua on the underwing sur-face and soon returning back to the original color, the relationship between micro-structure, optics characteristic of scales and changing color effect were studied using the Olympus Stereomicroscope, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Ultraviolet (UV)-Visible Spectropho-tometer. The color variation mechanisms of blue scales of Papilio maackii mé-nétriès in Chinese Northeast were revealed in this paper. When visible lights trav-eled through the concaver structure with multilayer reflector and the filled medium with different refractive indices, the reflected lights in definite wavelengths pro-duced interference and color at that wavelength came into being. 3Cloning,expression and binding specificity analysis of odorant binding protein 3 of the lucerne plant bug,Adelphocoris lineolatus(Goeze)显示文摘Credible evidence shows that odorant binding proteins(OBPs)are required for insect olfaction perception and play a key role in transporting hydrophobic odorants across the sensillum lymph to the olfactory receptors(ORs).In the present study,a novel OBP(AlinOBP3)gene from the lucerne plant bug,Adelphocoris lineolatus,was cloned and expressed.The expression pattern of AlinOBP3 was evaluated by qPCR,which indicated that AlinOBP3 was dominantly expressed in antennae.The binding properties of AlinOBP3 with 9 cotton volatiles and 5 sex pheromone analogs were measured by fluorescence competitive binding assays with the fluorescence probe 1-NPN.The results revealed that of 9 cotton volatiles,Myrcene,β-Ocimene and α-Phellandrene can bind with AlinOBP3.α-Phellandrene especially bound to AlinOBP3 with a high binding affinity,with a dissociation constant of 56.68 μmol/L.Of the 5 sex pheromone analogs,Hexyl butyrate had the strongest binding affinity with AlinOBP3,with a dissociation constant as 59.53 μmol/L.Butyl butyrate,trans-2-Hexenyl butyrate and Ethyl butyrate had medium binding affinities with AlinOBP3,with dissociation constants of 227.39,108.77 and 143.47 μmol/L,respectively.The results suggest that AlinOBP3 might be a pheromone binding protein(PBP)with a dual-function for the perception of sex pheromones and plant volatiles.GU ShaoHua SUN Yang REN LiYan ZHANG XueYing ZHANG YongJun WU KongMing GUO YuYuan 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,34:7

5Microstructure and structural color in wing scales of butterfly Thaumantis diores显示文摘The butterfly Thaumantis diores is a species in the Northeast of China. There are two kinds of scales on its wings, which overlap like roof tiles and completely cover the membrane. The SEM results showed that only Type-I scales play a key role in forming the blue structural color. Type-II scales have black chemical color. The cross section micro-configuration of scales is achieved by using the transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The brilliant blue generated through the multilayer microstructure is explained by the photonic crystal reason. The multilayer microstructure of the ridges is optimized to 1D Bragg stack for simulation. The reflectivity of the wing is measured by a spectrometer, and the experimental graph accord with the simulation curves basically. When this species fly, the wing's color and brightness can change because of the transform between structural color and chemical color. 9Water-trapping and drag-reduction effects of fish Ctenopharyngodon idellus scales and their simulations显示文摘In the last decades, surface drag reduction has been re-emphasized because of its practical values in engineering applications,including vehicles, aircrafts, ships, and fuel pipelines. The bionic study of drag reduction has been attracting scholars' attentions. Here, it was determined that the delicate microstructures on the scales of the fish Ctenopharyngodon idellus exhibit remarkable drag-reduction effect. In addition, the underlying drag-reduction mechanism was carefully investigated. First,exceptional morphologies and structures of the scales were observed and measured using a scanning electron microscope and3-dimensional(3D) microscope. Then, based on the acquired data, optimized 3D models were created. Next, the mechanism of the water-trapping effect of these structures was analyzed through numerical simulations and theoretical calculations. It was determined that there are many microcrescent units with certain distributions on its surface. In fact, these crescents are effective in generating the 'water-trapping' effect and forming a fluid-lubrication film, thus reducing the skin friction drag effectively.Contrasting to a smooth surface, the dynamics finite-element analysis indicated that the maximum drag-reduction rate of a bionic surface is 3.014% at 0.66 m/s flow rate. 13Replication of Papilio maackii Ménétriés butterfly scale structural color using a magnetron sputtering method显示文摘The natural butterfly Papilio maackii Ménétriés scales were found, through scanning and transmission electron microscopy, to comprise stacks of thin layers. Replicated scales were then fabricated on a silicon substrate using a magnetron sputtering (MS) method with ITO (In2O3(90%)+SnO2(10%)) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). Finally, the optical effects of the replicated scale were examined by a spectrometer. The results showed that the replicated and natural scales have the similar characteristics in structural colors.
