1Flexoelectric materials and their related applications: A focused review显示文摘Flexoelectricity refers to the mechanical-electro coupling between strain gradient and electric polarization, and conversely, the electro-mechanical coupling between electric field gradient and mechanical stress. This unique effect shows a promising size effect which is usually large as the material dimension is shrunk down. Moreover, it could break the limitation of centrosymmetry, and has been found in numerous kinds of materials which cover insulators, liquid crystals, biological materials, and semiconductors. In this review, we will give a brief report about the recent discoveries in flexoelectricity, focusing on the flexoelectric materials and their applications. The theoretical developments in this field are also addressed. 2Structural basis for bivalent binding and inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 infection by human potent neutralizing antibodies显示文摘Neutralizing monoclonal antibodies(nAbs)to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)represent promising candidates for clinical intervention against coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).We isolated a large number of nAbs from SARS-CoV-2-infected individuals capable of disrupting proper interaction between the receptor binding domain(RBD)of the viral spike(S)protein and the receptor angiotensin converting enzyme 2(ACE2).However,the structural basis for their potent neutralizing activity remains unclear.Here,we report cryo-EM structures of the ten most potent nAbs in their native full-length IgG-form or in both IgG-form and Fab-form bound to the trimeric S protein of SARS-CoV-2.The bivalent binding of the full-length IgG is found to associate with more RBDs in the“up”conformation than the monovalent binding of Fab,perhaps contributing to the enhanced neutralizing activity of IgG and triggering more shedding of the S1 subunit from the S protein.Comparison of a large number of nAbs identified common and unique structural features associated with their potent neutralizing activities.This work provides a structural basis for further understanding the mechanism of nAbs,especially through revealing the bivalent binding and its correlation with more potent neutralization and the shedding of S1 subunit.Renhong Yan Ruoke Wang Bin Ju Jinfang Yu Yuanyuan Zhang Nan Liu Jia Wang Qi Zhang Peng Chen Bing Zhou Yaning Li Yaping Shen Shuyuan Zhang Long Tian Yingying Guo Lu Xia Xinyue Zhong Lin Cheng Xiangyang Ge Juanjuan Zhao Hong-Wei Wang Xinquan Wang Zheng Zhang Linqi Zhang Qiang Zhou 2021Cell Research2021,31,5:4
3Effects of Technological Parameters on Carbothermal Reduction and Nitridation of Zircon显示文摘Carbothermal reduction and nitridation(CRN)of zircon(ZrSiO4)permits obtaining different composites of oxides and nitrides such as ZrO2-Si2N2O and ZrN-Si3N4.The effects of technological parameters(carbon source,reaction temperature,and carbon content)on the reaction rate and product phase composition of CRN of zircon were investigated by TGA and XRD.The results show that:(1)carbon source is an important factor for a rapid reaction,and activated carbon is chosen as the carbon source considering the expect products and reaction rate;(2)reaction temperature has vital effect on reaction rate and product.In case of carbon content above 20%,the zircon phase and m-ZrO2 phase decrease with increasing temperature,while the Zr7N8O4 phase increases firstly and then decreases,and the ZrN phase increases continually;(3)different carbon contents result in different reaction products.The higher the carbon content,the lower the starting temperature for the CRN of zircon.YU Renhong FU Yadong ZHANG Mengmeng WANG Lizhi HONG Quanquan ZHANG Ruohua 2011China's Refractories2011,20,1:3
4Viability of primary cultured retinal neurons in a hyperglycemic condition显示文摘The retina of Wistar rats within 1-3 days of birth were dissociated into a retinal cell suspension using 0.05% trypsin digestion. The cell suspension was incubated in Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium for 24 hours, followed by neurobasal medium for 5-7 days. Nissl staining showed that 79.86% of primary cultured retinal cells were positive and immunocytochemical staining showed that the purity of anti-neurofilament heavy chain antibody-positive cells was 71.53%, indicating that the primary culture system of rat retinal neurons was a reliable and stable cell system with neurons as the predominant cell type. The primary cultured retinal neurons were further treated with 0, 5.5, 15, 25, and 35 mM glucose for 24, 48, and 72 hours. The thiazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide test and flow cytometry showed that with increasing glucose concentration and treatment duration, the viability of retinal neurons was reduced, and apoptosis increased. In particular, 35 mM glucose exhibited the most significant effect at 72 hours. 5Effects of Spherical Aggregates Addition on Properties of Al2O3-SiO2 System Castables显示文摘Compared with traditional aggregates,spherical aggregates with high flowability,easy control of particle size distribution and favor of dense packing and so on,are expected to replace traditional aggregates as important raw materials for future high performance refractories. Therefore,investigation of effects of spherical aggregates addition on properties of refractories becomes very meaningful. Using A70 mullite traditional aggregates and A70 mullite spherical aggregates, bauxite homogenization powder,microsilica,and calcium aluminate cement as raw materials,different Al_2O_3-SiO_2system low cement castables were prepared by replacing conventional aggregates with spherical aggregates. The effect of spherical aggregates addition on workability and mechanical properties of castables after heated at different temperatures was researched,and microstructure of the specimen was analyzed by SEM. Compared with traditional irregularly shaped aggregates,spherical aggregates endow castables with better flowability and easy pump ability. By introduction of spherical aggregates into the castables,flowability and pumpability are significantly improved,and water addition and ball completely sunk time are reduced. The introduction of spherical aggregates is favorable to density and cold crushing strength of castables,but unfavorable to CMOR. The effect of spherical aggregates addition on HMOR at1 400 ℃ can be negligible. 6Effect of ZrO_2-nitrides Composite Powder Addition on Oxidation Resistance of Al_2O_3-C Refractories显示文摘Oxidation of carbon is the main problem of Al2O3-C refractories.ZrO2-nitrides composite powder was synthesized through carbothermal reduction and nitridation (CRN) of zircon.The effect of ZrO2-nitrides composite powder addition on oxidation resistance of the Al2O3-C refractories was investigated by measuring the thickness of oxidation layer.Phase compositions of the Al2O3-C refractories before and after oxidation were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD).Results show that the oxidation resistance of the Al2O3-C refractories can be obviously improved by adding the synthesized ZrO2-nitrides composite powder.The formation of mullite and zircon in the oxidation layer results in the densification of oxidation layer,which prevents oxygen diffusion and improves the oxidation resistance of the Al2O3-C refractories.ZHANG Mengmeng YU Renhong ZHOU Ningsheng 2011China's Refractories2011,20,3:2

10Distribution Characteristics and Shielding Effects of Ion Clouds显示文摘The latest research shows that the ions generated by the corona discharge of lightning rod have dual functions of attracting and shielding lightning discharge. After the lightning rod is installed at a certain height on the ground,the lightning rod tip reaches the corona threshold to ionize the surrounding air and generate positive and negative ions under the action of the electric field at the end of the lightning downward leader. Constrained by Coulomb’s Law,its positive ions( opposite charges attract each other) form an upward leader( streamer),which moves towards the end of the lightning downward leader and is connected to the downward leader,establishing a discharge channel to attract lightning to the needle tip and discharge the current to the ground,and playing a role in attracting lightning. Its negative ions are repelled by the electric field at the end of the lightning downward leader( repelled by isotropic charges) and influenced by the wind,and diffuse in the downwind area to form an ion cloud,inhibiting the growth of corona at the tip of ground objects,and playing a role in shielding lightning. In this paper,Franklin’s understanding of the role of lightning rod and Yang Shaojie’s new definition of the working principle of lightning rod are briefly introduced. The formation mechanism,distribution characteristics,shielding effect,and impact on lightning strike point distribution of ion clouds are analyzed. 12Chemical Corrosion Mechanisms of Magnesite-chrome Bricks by Converter Slag显示文摘The corrosion resistance of four kinds magnesite-chrome bricks against converter salg was investigated by static crucible slag tests. The microstructures of the as-delivered and tested refractories were analyzed by means of SEM and EDS. The results showed that: Different magnesite-chrome bricks have different slag resistances. Generally, the slag resiantance sequence is as follows: rebounded fused magnesite-chrome brick>semi-rebounded magnesite-chrome brick>direct-bonded magnesite-chrome brick>silicate bonded magnesite-chrome brick. Slag reacts with the periclase of magnesite-chrome refractories, which results in the dissoving of periclase in fayalite slag. 13Role of in-situ Formed Nonoxides Bonded Phases in Property Improvement of Alumina ULC Castables显示文摘In order to enhance performance of pre-cast shapes of alumina based castables,the present work explored the approach of forming in-situ bonding phases by incorporating Si powders and then heating in carbon embedded atmosphere. Using tabular alumina as aggregates,tabular alumina,SiC powders,Si powders,calcium aluminate cement,microsilica and ultrafineα-Al2O3 powders as matrix, alumina based ultra low cement(ULC) castables were prepared.Influences of Si powder addition at O, 4%,6%,8%and 10%(in mass ) on regular properties, cold modulus of rupture(CMOR),hot modulus of rupture(HMOR),thermal shock resistance(TSR) and microstructure of the castables after carbonization were investigated. After incorporation of Si powders and carbon embedded heating,the in-situ mullite and nonoxide phases such as SiAlON and SiC can be formed by oxidation, nitridation or carbonization reaction.HMOR and TSR of the castables with in-situ nonoxides bonding are obviously improved.After carbon embedded heating,the HMOR at 1 400℃increases from 1.6 MPa to 8.3 MPa,and the residual CMOR ratio after thermal shock increases from 64.9%to 137.9%when Si addition increases from 0 to 10%.YU Renhong DU Penghui ZHOU Ningsheng LI Cuixia 2013China's Refractories2013,22,1:0

15Effect of Ultrafine Spinel Sources on Slag Resistance and Microstructure of Alumina-spinel Castables显示文摘In order to clarify the effect of ultrafine spinel sources on slag resistance and microstructure of alumina-spinel castables,using tabular alumina and spinel as coarse aggregates, tabular alumina powders, spinel powders,calcium aluminate cement,spinel containing cement,spinel micro-powder and reactive alumina ultrafines as matrix,alumina-spinel castables used for RH snorkels were prepared by changing the particle size and sources of preformed spinel. The effects of different ultrafine spinel sources( CMA72,spinel micro-powder) on the properties of alumina-spinel castables were investigated. Thermal shock resistance and slag resistance of specimens were compared by the residual strength rate( 1 100 ℃,air cooling 1 cycle) and static crucible method. The microstructure and the slag corrosion resistance mechanism of the specimens were analyzed by SEM and EDS. The result shows that slag resistance of alumina-spinel castables can be improved by adding ultrafine preformed spinel,such as CMA72,and spinel micro-powder. 16Effect of Zircon Addition on Properties of Low Carbon AL_2O_3-C Refractories显示文摘Using tabular alumina as aggregate,tabular alumina fines, reactive alumina ultra-fines, aluminum powders,silicon powders,carbon black,flake graphite,B4C and zircon fines as matrix,low carbon Al2O3- C refractories were prepared. Influences of zircon powders additions( 0,3%,5% and 7%,in mass,the same hereinafter) on properties,phase composition and microstructure were investigated. The results show that the ZrO2- nitride can be in-situ formed through carbothermal reduction and nitridation in Al2O3- C refractories.With the increase of zircon powder,the oxidation resistance of the Al2O3- C refractories improves obviously,the oxidized layer thickness decreases from 7. 94 mm without zircon to 2. 71 mm with 5% zircon. HMOR at 1 400 ℃of the Al2O3- C refractories reaches the maximum 14. 9MPa when zircon addition is 5%. 17Influences of Technological Parameters on Carbothermal Reduction and Nitridation of Titanium Dioxide显示文摘The particle size of starting materials, the homogeneity of the carbon/oxide mixtures, and the carbon content are important parameters for a rapid reaction. The influences of technological parameters (carbon particle size, oxide particle size, mixing method, carbon content) on the reaction rate of carbothermal reduction and nitridation of titanium dioxide (TiO2) were investigated by a continuous thermogravimetric analyzer for large size specimen. The carbon particle size is the most important parameter for a rapid reaction, but carbon particle may have no influence on the morphology of titanium nitride (TiN) powder. Oxide particles are the precursors of TiN powder, but the TiO2 particles size has very little influence on the reaction rate. The carbon content not only influences the reaction rate to some degree, but also influences the purity of TiN powder. The mixing method of the specimen has very little influence on the reaction rate. 18Influence of SiC Contents in Al_2O_3-SiO_2 Castables on Resistance to PbO-rich Slag显示文摘Low cement Al2O3-SiO2 castables was prepared using super grade bauxite(w(Al2O3)>85%) as aggregate,brown fused corundum,silicon carbide,Secar 71 CA cement,α-Al2O3 micropowder and microsilica as fine powders.The influence of SiC(0,5 wt%,10 wt%,and 15 wt%)on resistance to PbO-rich slag was investigated by static crucible slag test(1 300 ℃ for 5 h,in air).The slag corrosion mechanism of the castables was analyzed by means of SEM,EDS and XRD.The results show that the resistance of Al2O3-SiO2 castables to PbO-rich slag is improved obviously by the addition of SiC.The corrosion mechanism of the PbO-rich slag can be discribed as that PbO in the slag reacts with SiO2 and CaO in Al2O3-SiO2 castables,forming low-melting compounds(such as PbO·SiO2 and 2PbO·SiO2).YU Renhong AO Ping ZHOU Ningsheng WEI Ruili 2009China's Refractories2009,18,3:0
19Effects of Spherical Light-weight Aggregates Additions on Workability and Mechanical Properties of Al_2O_3-SiO_2 System Castables显示文摘In order to clarify the effect of spherical light-weight aggregates addition on properties of Al_2 O_3-Si O_2 system castables,adopting A70 mullite traditional light-weight aggregates and A70 mullite spherical light-weight aggregates,bauxite homogenization powder,microsilica,calcium aluminate cement as main raw materials,lightweight Al_2 O_3-Si O_2 system castables were prepared by replacing conventional light-weight aggregate with spherical light-weight aggregates. The effects of spherical light-weight aggregates addition on workability,mechanical properties of castables after heated at different temperatures were researched; the microstructure of the aggregates was analyzed by SEM. The result shows that the introduction of spherical light-weight aggregates can significantly improve the flowability and reduce the water addition of the castables. Water demand of the castable is reduced from 18% with the conventional light-weight aggregates to 14% with spherical light-weight aggregates. In addition,light-weight castables prepared by spherical aggregates can keep the same workability within a wider range of water addition. Therefore,spherical aggregates are user-friendly.
