1Illumina-Based Analysis of Bulk and Rhizosphere Soil Bacterial Communities in Paddy Fields Under Mixed Heavy Metal Contamination显示文摘There is an increasing concern about rice(Oryza sativa L.) soil microbiomes under the influence of mixed heavy metal contamination. We used the high-throughput Illumina Mi Seq sequencing approach to explore the bacterial diversity and community composition of soils in four paddy fields, exhibiting four degrees of mixed heavy metal(Cd, Pb and Zn) pollution, and examined the effects of these metals on the bacterial communities. Our results showed that up to 2 104 to 4 359 bacterial operational taxonomic units(OTUs)were found in the bulk and rhizosphere soils of the paddy fields, with the dominant bacterial phyla(greater than 1% of the overall community) including Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, Firmicutes, Acidobacteria, Gemmatimonadetes, Chloroflexi, Bacteroidetes and Nitrospirae. A number of rare and candidate bacterial groups were also detected, and Saprospirales, HOC36, SC-I-84 and Anaerospora were rarely detected in rice paddy soils. Venn diagram analysis showed that 174 bacterial OTUs were shared among the bulk soils with four pollution degrees. Rice rhizosphere soils displayed higher bacterial diversity indices(ACE and Chao 1) and more unique OTUs than bulk soils. Total Cd and Zn in the soils were significantly negatively correlated with ACE and Chao 1, respectively, and the Mantel test suggested that total Pb, total Zn, p H, total nitrogen and total phosphorus significantly affected the community structure.Overall, these results provided baseline data for the bacterial communities in bulk and rhizosphere soils of paddy fields contaminated with mixed heavy metals.HE Huaidong LI Waichin Riqing YU YE Zhihong 2017Pedosphere2017,27,3:10

3Diagnosis, treatment, and misdiagnosis analysis of 28 cases of central nervous system echinococcosis显示文摘Background:To explore central nervous system(CNS)involvement in this disease,from the perspectives of diagnosis,treatment,and misdiagnosis Methods:Twenty-eight patients with CNS echinococcosis were included in this retrospective study,including 18 males(64.3%)and 10(35.7%)females.The average age of all the patients were 23.5 years(ranged 4–60 years).Twenty-three(23)patients(82.1%)received the first surgical resection in our hospital.Five(5)patients(17.9%)gave up surgical treatment for multiple-organ hydatidosis and previous surgery history at other hospitals,and albendazole was applied for a long-term(3–6 months)adjunct therapy for the 5 patients.The average follow-up time was 8 years.Results:For the 28 patients,23 cases received surgical treatments,and the diagnosis was confirmed by pathological examinations.The diagnosis of 4 cases of brain echinococcosis and 2 cases of spinal cord echinococcosis could not be confirmed,resulting in a misdiagnosis rate of 21.4%(6/28).For the pathological examination,a total of 17 cases were infected with Echinococcus granulosus(including 2 cases of spinal cord echinococcosis),and 6 cases were infected with Echinococcus alveolaris.Conclusion:The diagnosis should be specifically considered in endemic regions.The clinical features of CNS hydatidosis were intracranial space-occupying lesions.For the treatment,the surgical removal of cysts should be necessary.In addition,the adjuvant therapy with drug and intraoperative prophylaxis is also suggested.The misdiagnosis may have resulted from atypical clinical features and radiographic manifestations,as well as the accuracy of hydatid immunologic test.Guojia Du Yandong Li Pan Wu Xin Wang Riqing Su Yandong Fan Dangmurenjiafu Geng 2021Chinese Neurosurgical Journal2021,7,4:3
4Three-dimensional solution structure of ω-conotoxin SO_(3) determined by ^(1)H NMR显示文摘Cone snails (Conus) elaborate a series of conotoxin (CTX) peptides in their venoms to paralyze their prey. Among these toxins, w-CTX抯 specifically target to presynaptic voltage-gated calcium channel subsets, causing inhibition of neurotransmitter release. w-CTX SO3 was isolated from the venom of Conus striatus, which is the only available fish-hunting snail near the coast of the South China Sea. The three-dimensional solution structure of w-CTX SO3, a peptide which is the only w-conotoxin reported to show high homology with another w-CTX (MVIIA from C. Magus), has been determined by 1H NMR techniques. The molecular structure of w-CTX SO3 is stabilized by three disulfide bridges and a short triple-stranded antiparallel b-sheet with four turns. 7Development and Prospect of Study on Soil Nonlinear Dynamic Characteristics under Strong-Motion显示文摘Ground motions are significantly influenced by dynamic characteristics of overburden soil layers near ground surface,as thick and soft soil layers would obviously amplify the ground motion strength. The conventional research method on soil nonlinear dynamic characteristics under strong motions is based on experiments in laboratories for the deficiency of observation data,but it is difficult to reliably simulate the complex factors of soils in actual earthquake durations,including loading paths,boundary conditions,and drainage conditions. 10High-Performance Beamformer and Low-Complexity Detector for DF-Based Full-Duplex MIMO Relaying Networks显示文摘In this paper, we consider a full.duplex multiple.input multiple.output(MIMO) relaying network with the decode.and.forward(DF) protocol. Due to the full.duplex transmissions, the self.interference from the relay transmitter to the relay receiver degrades the system performance. We thus propose an iterative beamforming structure(IBS) to mitigate the self.interference. In this method, the receive beamforming at the relay is optimized to maximize the signal.to.interference.plus.noise.ratio(Max.SINR), while the transmit beamforming at the relay is optimized to maximize the signal.to.leakage.plusnoise.ratio(Max.SLNR). To further improve the performance, the receive and transmit beamforming matrices are optimized between Max.SINR and Max.SLNR in an iterative manner. Furthermore, in the presence of the residual self.interference, a low.complexity whitening.filter(WF) maximum likelihood(ML) detector is proposed. In this detector, a WF is designed to transform a colored interference.plus.noise to a white noise, while the singular value decomposition is used to convert coupled spatial subchannels to parallelindependent ones. From simulations, we find that the proposed IBS performs much better than the existing schemes. NMR spectra image analysis can be used to analyze the kinetics of biomacromolecular conformational changes. 15Modeling of kiwifruit metallothionein kiwi503显示文摘Kiwifruit metallothionein, kiwi503, is a typical plant metallothionein protein. It has 63 amino acid residues in two cysteine-rich regions and one spacer region of about 32 residues. In this note, the two cysteine-rich regions and the spacer region have been modeled separately by the distance geometry and the homology method. The three parts are then connected to generate a three-dimensional structural model of kiwifruit metallothionein kiwi503. The result shows that there is no structural or energy barrier preventing either cysteine rich domain from independently forming a metal-sulfur chelating cluster. 19Beamforming design for RIS-aided amplify-and-forward relay networks显示文摘The use of a reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)in the enhancement of the rate performance is considered to involve the limitation of the RIS being a passive reflector.To address this issue,we propose a RIS-aided amplify-and-forward(AF)relay network in this paper.By jointly optimizing the beamforming matrix at AF relay and the phase-shift matrices at RIS,two schemes are put forward to address a maximizing signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)problem.First,aiming at achieving a high rate,a high-performance alternating optimization(AO)method based on Charnes–Cooper transformation and semidefinite programming(CCT-SDP)is proposed,where the optimization problem is decomposed into three subproblems solved using CCT-SDP,and rank-one solutions can be recovered using Gaussian randomization.However,the optimization variables in the CCT-SDP method are matrices,leading to extremely high complexity.To reduce the complexity,a low-complexity AO scheme based on Dinkelbachs transformation and successive convex approximation(DT-SCA)is proposed,where the variables are represented in vector form,and the three decoupling subproblems are solved using DT-SCA.Simulation results verify that compared to three benchmarks(i.e.,a RIS-assisted AF relay network with random phase,an AF relay network without RIS,and a RIS-aided network without AF relay),the proposed CCT-SDP and DT-SCA schemes can harvest better rate performance.Furthermore,it is revealed that the rate of the low-complexity DT-SCA method is close to that of the CCT-SDP method.Xuehui WANG Feng SHU Riqing CHEN Peng ZHANG Qi ZHANG Guiyang XIA Weiping SHI Jiangzhou WANG 2023Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,12:0
20Spatial Autocorrelation Analysis of Genetic Structure of Zelkova schneideriana in Mailing Town,Guangxi显示文摘We analyzed the fine-scale spatial genetic structure of the individuals of Zelkova schneideriana,which were classified by age using the spatial autocorrelation method,to quantify spatial patterns of genetic variation within the population and to explore potential mechanisms that determine genetic variation in population. The spatial autocorrelation coefficient( r) at 13 distance classes was determined on the basis of both geographical distance and genetic distance matrix which was derived from co-dominant SSR data using Gen Al Ex software. The results showed that all the individuals of Z. schneideriana exhibited significantly positive spatial genetic structure at distance less than 40 m( the X-intercept was 53. 568),indicating that the average length of the smallest genetic patch for the same genotype clustering of the Z. schneideriana Mailing population was about 50 m. Limited seed dispersal is the main factor that leads to the spatial genetic variation within populations. The individuals in age Class II showed significantly positive spatial genetic structure at distance less than 30 m( the X-intercept was 47. 882),while the individuals in age Class I and age Class III showed no significant spatial genetic structure in any of the spatial distance classes.
