1Acute effects of physical exercise in type 2 diabetes: A review显示文摘The literature has shown the efficiency of exercise in the control of type 2 diabetes(T2D), being suggested as one of the best kinds of non-pharmacological treatments for its population. Thus, the scientific production related to this phenomenon has growing exponentially. However, despite its advances, still there is a lack of studies that have carried out a review on the acute effects of physical exercise on metabolic and hemodynamic markers and possible control mechanisms of these indicators in individuals with T2 D, not to mention that in a related way, these themes have been very little studied today. Therefore, the aim of this study was to organize and analyze the current scientific production about the acute effects of physical exercise on metabolic and hemodynamic markers and possible control mechanisms of these indicators in T2 D individuals. For such, a research with the following keywords was performed:-exercise; diabetes and post-exercise hypotension; diabetes and excess post-exercise oxygen consumption; diabetes and acute effects in PUBMED, SCIELO and HIGHWIRE databases. From the analyzed studies, it is possible to conclude that, a single exercise session can promote an increase in the bioavailability of nitric oxide and elicit decreases in postexercise blood pressure. Furthermore, the metabolic stress from physical exercise can increase the oxidation of carbohydrate during the exercise and keep it, in high levels, the post exercise consumption of O2, this phenomenon increases the rate of fat oxidation during recovery periods after exercise, improves glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity and reduces glycemia between 2-72 h, which seems to be dependent on the exercise intensity and duration of the effort.Ricardo Yukio Asano Marcelo Magalhes Sales Rodrigo Alberto Vieira Browne José Fernando Vila Nova Moraes Hélio José Coelho Júnior Milton Rocha Moraes Hebert Gustavo Simoes 2014World Journal of Diabetes2014,5,5:8

13High-intensity, but not moderate-intensity, exercise increasespost-exercise rate of fat oxidation in type 2 diabetics显示文摘Background:Aerobic exercise is recommended for glycemic and weight control in type 2 diabetes(T2D),but exercise intensity that increase post-exercise fat oxidation has not been established yet.It is expected that high-intensity exercise induce higher absolute oxidations and rates of oxidation of CHO(during)and fat(after)in normoglycemic,but in hyperglycemic it is unclear.Aim:To compare the effects of exercise intensity on CHO and fat oxidation during and after exercise in individuals with T2D.Methods:Eleven persons with T2D,randomly underwent three experimental sessions 72 hours apart:1)20 minute of high-intensity exercise(120%of lactate threshold(LT)–120%LT),2)20 minute of moderate-intensity exercise(80%of LT–80%LT),and 3)20 minute of control session(CON)–no exercise was performed and the individuals remained seated during the whole time.Percentages of CHO and fat contribution and CHO and fat oxidation rate(mg/min)were analyzed during and after sessions.Results:The rate of CHO oxidation during exercise was significantly higher during 120%LT in relation to 80%LT and CON(18.2±5.6 vs.9.5±2.7 vs.1.1±0.4 mg?min?1),the absolute rate of fat oxidation was significantly higher in 120%LT compared to 80%LT and CON during exercise(13.5±3.3,9.5±2.2,and 0.7±0.2 mg?min?1,respectively,p<0.05).During the post-exercise oxygen consumption recovery period,only the 120%LT had higher fat oxidation(94.5%vs.68.1%,p<0.05),when compared to CON.Both exercise sessions equally elicited a lowered glycaemia during the post-exercise period,but CHO oxidation was lower after 120%LT than CON(0.1±0.2 vs.0.9±0.5 mg?min?1,p<0.05).Conclusions:Higher intensity elicited an elevated CHO oxidation rate during exercise and a higher percentage of fat utilization during the post-exercise recovery period compared to moderate-intensity exercise and control sessions.Relevance for patients:High-intensity aerobic exercise,even of short duration,may benefit individuals with T2D on the substrate oxidation related to the body fat.Exercise can be an important tool for the prevention and management of T2D due to its effects on carbohydrate and fat metabolism,reduction of body fat,and control of blood glucose.Ricardo Yukio Asano Marcelo Magalhaes Sales Rodrigo Alberto Vieira Browne José Fernando Vila Nova de Moraes Rafael da Costa Sotero Gisela Arsa Jonato Prestes Johanna Lopez John Eugene Lewis Herbert Gustavo Simoes 2016Journal of Clinical & Translational Research2016,2,2:0
14Identification of ISSR markers linked to flowering traits in a representative sample of Eucalyptus cladocalyx显示文摘Early flowering and flower abundance have long been considered desirable traits in eucalypt breeding programs. In particular, flowers of Eucalyptus cladocalyx provide a nectar source for the production of honey in arid ecosystems. To identify inter-simple sequence repeat(ISSR) markers that are associated with early flowering and flower abundance in the southern Atacama Desert, we used a sample of 47 trees, representing five Australian provenances of E. cladocalyx. A unified mixed linear model(which considered the effect of genetic structure and the kinship relationship among trees) revealed that three loci were significantly associated with early flowering, which accounted for 10–16 % of the phenotypic variation, while two loci accounted for 11–13 % in flowering intensity.Locus ISO1–500 bpwas associated with both flowering traits. This result is consistent with our previous findings indicating that marker-assisted selection on early flowering should have significant and positive impact on flowering intensity. 16Surface Crack Network Detection on MgO-based Refractory Castable by Digital Image Correlation显示文摘A preliminary application of the digital image correlation( DIC) is presented aiming to detect and analyze crack networks which are induced by stresses arising during curing and drying( CD) of Mg O containing refractory castable slabs. Surface images of castable samples placed in a specially designed climatic chamber were recorded over the CD stages with a digital camera and processed by the DIC technique to measure the displacement fields. Post-processing DIC results were carried out to estimate the length,orientation and opening of cracks in the networks.
