1Trends in cancer mortality in China from 2004 to 2018:A nationwide longitudinal study显示文摘Background:The long-term trend in cancer death in a rapidly developing country provides information for cancer prophylaxis.Here,we aimed to identify the trends in cancer mortality in China during the 2004-2018 period.Methods:Using raw data from the national mortality surveillance system of China,we assessed the mortalities of all cancer and site-specific cancers during the 2004-2018 period.The participants were divided into three age groups:≥65 years,40-64 years,and≤39 years.Changing trends in cancer death by gender,residency,and tumor location were estimated using fitting joinpoint models to log-transformed crude mortality rates(CMRs)and age-standardizedmortality rates(ASMRs).Results:Cancer death accounted for 24% of all-cause of death in China during 2014-2018.The CMR of all cancer was 150.0 per 100,000 persons.Cancer was the leading cause of death in the population<65 years.The six major cancer types(lung/bronchus cancer,liver cancer,stomach cancer,esophagus cancer,colorectal cancer,and pancreas cancer)accounted for 75.85% of all cancer deaths.The CMR of all cancer increased while the ASMR decreased during 2014-2018(P<0.001).Lung/bronchus cancer and liver cancer were the leading causes of cancer death in the population<65 years,accounting for 45.31%(CMR)and 44.35%(ASMR)of all cancer death,respectively.The ASMR of liver cancer was higher in the 40-64 years population than in the≥65 years population,in contrast to the other five major cancers.The ASMRs of liver cancer,stomach cancer,and esophagus cancer decreased although they were higher in rural residents than in urban residents;the ASMRs of lung/bronchus cancer,colorectal cancer,and pancreas cancer increased in rural residents although they were higher in urban residents than in rural residents during 2014-2018.Conclusion:Although the ASMR of all cancer decreased in China during 2004-2018,lung/bronchus cancer and liver cancer remained the leading causes of cancer-related premature death.Lung/bronchus cancer,colorectal cancer,and pancreas cancer increased in rural residents.Dongming Jiang Lijuan Zhang Wenbin Liu Yibo Ding Jianhua Yin Rongbing Ren Qi Li Yifan Chen Jiaying Shen Xiaojie Tan Hongwei Zhang Guangwen Cao 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,10:23
2Relative position determination of a lunar rover using the biased differential phase delay of same-beam VLBI显示文摘When only data transmission signals with a bandwidth of 1 MHz exist in the rover, the position can be obtained using the differential group delay data of the same-beam very long baseline interferometry (VLBI). The relative position between a lunar rover and a lander can be determined with an error of several hundreds of meters. When the guidance information of the rover is used to determine relative position, the rover's wheel skid behavior and integral movement may influence the accuracy of the determined position. This paper proposes a new method for accurately determining relative position. The differential group delay and biased differential phase delay are obtained from the same-beam VLBI observation, while the modified biased differential phase delay is obtained using the statistic mean value of the differential group delay and the biased phase delay as basis. The small bias in the modified biased phase delay is estimated together with other parameters when the relative position of the rover is calculated. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed using the same-beam VLBI observation data of SELENE. The radio sources onboard the rover and the lander are designed for same-beam VLBI observations. The results of the simulations of the differential delay of the same-beam VLBI observation between the rover and the lander show that the differential delay is sensitive to relative position. An approach to solving the relative position and a strategy for tracking are also introduced. 3Nanoencapsulation of arsenate with nanoscale zero-valent iron(nZVI):A 3D perspective显示文摘The principal forces driving the efficient enrichment and encapsulation of arsenic(As) into nanoscale zero-valent iron(nZVI) are the disordered arrangement of the atoms and the gradient chemical potentials within the core-shell interface. The chemical compositions and the fine structure of nZVI are characterized with a combination of spherical aberration corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy(Cs-STEM), X-ray energy-dispersive spectroscopy(XEDS), electron energy loss spectroscopy(EELS), and high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(HR-XPS). Atomically resolved EELS at the oxygen K-edge unfolds that the Fe species in nZVI are well stratified from Fe(Ⅲ) oxides in the outermost periphery to a mixed Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ) interlayer, then Fe(Ⅱ) oxide and the pure Fe(0) phase. Reactions between As(Ⅴ)and nZVI suggest that a well-structured local redox gradient exists within the shell layer, which serves as a thermodynamically favorable conduit for electron transfer from the iron core to the surface-bound As(Ⅴ). HR-XPS with ion sputtering shows that arsenic species shift from As(Ⅴ), As(Ⅲ)/As(Ⅴ) to As(Ⅴ)/As(Ⅲ)/As(0) from the iron oxide shell–water interface to the Fe(0) core. 6Activation of the cold-sensing TRPM8 channel triggers UCP1-dependent thermogenesis and prevents obesity显示文摘Brown adipose tissue(BAT)is an energy-expending organ that produces heat.Expansion or activation of BAT prevents obesity and diabetes.Chronic cold exposure enhances thermogenesis in BAT through uncoupling protein 1(UCP1)activation triggered via a b-adrenergic pathway.Here,we report that the cold-sensing transient receptor potential melastatin 8(TRPM8)is functionally present in mouse BAT.Challenging brown adipocytes with menthol,a TRPM8 agonist,up-regulates UCP1 expression and requires protein kinase A activation.Upon mimicking long-term cold exposure with chronic dietary menthol application,menthol significantly increased the core temperatures and locomotor activity in wild-type mice;these effects were absent in both TRPM82/2 and UCP12/2 mice.Dietary obesity and glucose abnormalities were also prevented by menthol treatment.Our results reveal a previously unrecognized role for TRPM8,suggesting that stimulation of this channel mediates BAT thermogenesis,which could constitute a promising way to treat obesity.Shuangtao Ma Hao Yu Zhigang Zhao Zhidan Luo Jing Chen Yinxing Ni Rongbing Jin Liqun Ma Peijian Wang Zhenyu Zhu Li Li Jian Zhong Daoyan Liu Bernd Nilius Zhiming Zhu 2012Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2012,4,2:2
7Distribution-based CFAR detectors in SAR images显示文摘As traditional two-parameter constant false alarm rate (CFAR) target detection algorithms in SAR images ignore target distribution, their performances are not the best or near best. As the resolution of SAR images increases, small targets present more pixels in SAR images. So the target distribution is of much significance. Distribution-based CFAR detection algorithm is presented. We unite the pixels around the test cell, and estimate the distribution of test cell by them. Generalized Likelihood Ratio Test (GLRT) is used to deduce the detectors. The performance of the distribution-based CFAR (DBCFAR) detectors is analyzed theoretically. False alarms of DBCFAR detection are fewer than those of CFAR at the same detection rate. Finally experiments are done and the results show the performance of DBCFAR is out of conventional CFAR. 9Genome Assembly and Pathway Analysis of Edible Mushroom Agrocybe cylindracea显示文摘Agrocybe cylindracea,an edible mushroom,is widely cultivated for its abundance of nutrients and flavor,and many of its metabolites are reported to have beneficial roles,such as medicinal effects on tumors and chronical illnesses.However,the lack of genomic information has hindered further molecular studies on this fungus.Here,we present a genome assembly of A.cylindracea together with comparative genomics and pathway analyses of Agaricales species.The draft,generated from both next-generation sequencing(NGS)and single-molecule real-time(SMRT)sequencing platforms to overcome high genetic heterozygosity,is composed of a56.5 Mb sequence and 15,384 predicted genes.This mushroom possesses a complex reproductive system,including tetrapolar heterothallic and secondary homothallic mechanisms,and harbors several hydrolases and peptidases for gradual and effective degradation of various carbon sources.Our pathway analysis reveals complex processes involved in the biosynthesis of polysaccharides and other active substances,including B vitamins,unsaturated fatty acids,and N-acetylglucosamine.RNA-seq data show that A.cylindracea stipes tend to synthesize carbohydrate for carbon sequestration and energy storage,whereas pilei are more active in carbon utilization and unsaturated fatty acid biosynthesis.These results reflect diverse functions of the two anatomical structures of the fruiting body.Our comprehensive genomic and transcriptomic data,as well as preliminary comparative analyses,provide insights into the molecular details of the medicinal effects in terms of active compounds and nutrient components.Yuan Liang Dengxue Lu Sen Wang Yuhui Zhao Shenghan Gao Rongbing Han Jun Yu Weili Zheng Jianing Geng Songnian Hu 2020Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,3:2

15Chronic hypoperfusion due to intracranial large artery stenosis is not associated with cerebralβ-amyloid deposition and brain atrophy显示文摘Background:Insufficient cerebral perfusion is suggested to play a role in the development of Alzheimer disease(AD).However,there is a lack of direct evidence indicating whether hypoperfusion causes or aggravates AD pathology.We investigated the effect of chronic cerebral hypoperfusion on AD-related pathology in humans.Methods:We enrolled a group of cognitively normal patients(median age:64 years)with unilateral chronic cerebral hypoperfusion.Regions of interest with the most pronounced hypoperfusion changes were chosen in the hypoperfused region and were then mirrored in the contralateral hemisphere to create a control region with normal perfusion.11C-Pittsburgh compound-positron emission tomography standard uptake ratios and brain atrophy indices were calculated from the computed tomography images of each patient.Results:The median age of the 10 participants,consisting of 4 males and 6 females,was 64 years(47-76 years).We found that there were no differences in standard uptake ratios of the cortex(volume of interest[VOI]:P=0.721,region of interest[ROI]:P=0.241)and grey/white ratio(VOI:P=0.333,ROI:P=0.445)and brain atrophy indices(Bicaudate,Bifrontal,Evans,Cella,Cella media,and Ventricular index,P>0.05)between the hypoperfused regions and contralateral normally perfused regions in patients with unilateral chronic cerebral hypoperfusion.Conclusion:Our findings suggest that chronic hypoperfusion due to large vessel stenosis may not directly induce cerebralβ-amyloid deposition and neurodegeneration in humans.Dongyu Fan Huiyun Li Dongwan Chen Yang Chen Xu Yi Heng Yang Qianqian Shi Fangyang Jiao Yi Tang Qiming Li Fangyang Wang Shunan Wang Rongbing Jin Fan Zeng Yanjiang Wang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,5:1
