1The HuangZaoSi Maize Genome Provides Insights into Genomic Variation and Improvement History of Maize显示文摘Maize is a globally important crop that was a classic model plant for genetic studies. Here, we report a 2.2 Gb draft genome sequence of an elite maize line, HuangZaoSi (HZS). Hybrids bred from HZS-improved lines (HILs) are planted in more than 60% of maize fields in China. Proteome clustering of six completed sequeneed maize genomes show that 638 proteins fall into 264 HZS-specific gene families with the majority of contributions from tandem duplication events. Resequencing and comparative analysis of 40 HZSrelated lines reveals the breeding history of HILs. More than 60% of identified selective sweeps were clustered in identity.by.descent conserved regions, and yield-related genes/QTLs were enriched in HZS characteristic selected regions. Furthermore, we dem on strated that HZS-specific family genes were not uniformly distributed in the genome but enriched in improvement/function.related genomic regions. 2Pyridinic nitrogen enriched porous carbon derived from bimetal organic frameworks for high capacity zinc ion hybrid capacitors with remarkable rate capability显示文摘Aqueous zinc ion hybrid capacitors(ZIHCs)hold great potential for large-scale energy storage applications owing to their high safety and low cost,but suffer from low capacity and energy density.Herein,pyridinic nitrogen enriched porous carbon(nPC)was successfully synthesized via the growth,subsequent annealing and acid etching of bimetal organic frameworks for high capacity and safe ZIHCs with exceptional rate capability.Benefiting from the mesopores for easy ion diffusion,high electrical conductivity enabled by in-situ grown carbon nanotubes matrix and residual metal Co nanoparticles for fast electron transfer,sufficient micropores and high N content(8.9 at%)with dominated pyridinic N(54%)for enhanced zinc ion storage,the resulting nPC cathodes for ZIHCs achieved high capacities of 302 and137 m Ah g^(-1) at 1 and 18 A g^(-1),outperforming most reported carbon based cathodes.Theoretical results further disclosed that pyridinic N possessed larger binding energy of-4.99 eV to chemically coordinate with Zn2+than other N species.Moreover,quasi-solid-state ZIHCs with gelatin based gel electrolytes exhibited high energy density of 157.6 Wh kg^(-1) at 0.69 kW kg^(-1),high safety and mechanical flexibility to withstand mechanical deformation and drilling.This strategy of developing pyridinic nitrogen enriched porous carbon will pave a new avenue to construct safe ZIHCs with high energy densities.Yao Li Pengfei Lu Ping Shang Lisha Wu Xiao Wang Yanfeng Dong Ronghuan He Zhong-Shuai Wu 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5:3
3Beneficial use of stainless steel EAF slag as composite cement admixture and its heavy metals leaching risk analysis显示文摘This study analyzes the feasibility of using stainless steel electric arc furnace(EAF)slag as composite cement admixture and the risk of leaching-out of heavy metals.The results show that the stainless steel EAF slag,mainly made up of Ca2SiO4,Ca3Mg(SiO4)2,some Cr-containing minerals and in small particle size,is easily ground and has cementitious activity.EAF slag,when used as cement admixture,can be added with a maximum percentage of 32%.It can meet the strength requirements of the standard P·C 32.5 cement.When the mixing percentage is decreased to 25%,the strength of the cement can be increased to that of P·C 42.5 cement.Other main quality indexes of composite cement,such as the setting time and stability,also satisfy standard requirements.The results also show that most of the heavy metals in the stainless steel EAF slag exist in a stable speciation.The concentration of heavy metals that leach out from the stainless steel EAF slag and the composite cement products is far lower than the standard limit of hazardous wastes.The main heavy metal,chromium,exists as less hazardous trivalent chromium.Therefore,the risk of heavy metals leaching out from the stainless steel EAF slag is low.The internal exposure index(IRa)and the external exposure index(Iγ)of the stainless steel EAF slag are both lower than 1.0,satisfying the standard requirements of the state for the radionuclides of building materials.Therefore,stainless steel EAF slag can be safely used as admixture to produce composite cement.WANG Ruyi CHEN Ronghuan SHI Lei 2009Baosteel Technical Research2009,3,4:3
4Single‑Layer ZnO Hollow Hemispheres Enable High‑Performance Self‑Powered Perovskite Photodetector for Optical Communication显示文摘The carrier transport layer with reflection reduction morphology has attracted extensive attention for improving the utilization of light.Herein,we introduced single-layer hollow ZnO hemisphere arrays(ZHAs)behaving light trapping effect as the electron transport layer in perovskite photodetectors(PDs).The singlelayer hollow ZHAs can not only reduce the reflection,but also widen the angle of the effective incident light and especially transfer the distribution of the optical field from the ZnO/FTO interface to the perovskite active layer confirmed by the 3D finitedifference time-domain simulation.These merits benefit for the generation,transport and separation of carriers,improving the light utilization efficiency.Finally,our optimized FTO/ZHA/CsPbBr3/carbon structure PDs showed high self-powered performance with a linear dynamic range of 120.3 dB,a detectivity of 4.2×10^(12) Jones,rise/fall time of 13/28μs and the f_(−3) dB of up to 28 kHz.Benefiting from the high device performance,the PD was demonstrated to the application in the directional transmission of encrypted files as the signal receiving port with super high accuracy.This work uniquely utilizes the features of high-performance self-powered perovskite PDs in optical communication,paving the path to wide applications of all-inorganic perovskite PDs.Xiyan Pan Jianqiang Zhang Hai Zhou Ronghuan Liu Dingjun Wu Rui Wang Liangping Shen Li Tao Jun Zhang Hao Wang 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,4:3

6Two-stage treatment process of pickling wastewater in the cold-rolling production of stainless steel显示文摘Based on the characteristics of pickling wastewater in the cold-rolling production of stainless steel,a new processing route,featuring source sludge reduction,wastewater two-stage treatment,heavy metal-contained sludge and calcium salt sludge separating recovery,was proposed.As shown by the research results,after the two-stage process treatment,the effluent water can steadily reach the emission standards,the sludge yield can be decreased by more than 8%;within the heavy metal-contained sludge,the recovery rates of Fe,Cr and Ni can either reach or surpass 95%,and the total content of F and S can drop to around 3%.Therefore,the sludge in the front part can be used as ferric dust.In the calcium salt sludge,the recovery rate of F can either reach or surpass 85%,and the total contents of Fe,Cr and Ni can fall below 0.5%.So the sludge in the rear part can be used as fluorgypsum or fluorite.Meanwhile,the results of the analysis on heavy metals leaching toxicity and morphologic distribution indicate that the two kinds of sectionalized sludge are not classified as hazardous wastes,which have a stable behavior and better utilization values compared with the former mixed-sludge.SHI Lei CHEN Ronghuan WANG Ruyi 2010Baosteel Technical Research2010,4,2:2

13Trash to treasure:lactate and protein lactylation in maize root impacts response to drought显示文摘Lactate,protein lactylation(Kla),and specifically histone lactylation have recently been shown to regulate antipathogenic immune responses in mammals.Herein,after we confirmed the presence and accumulation of lactate in maize roots under drought conditions,a lactylome profiling analysis revealed that Kla modifications were invariably present in maize roots,that there were obvious differences in the lactylomes of drought-sensitive(B73)vs.drought-tolerant(Jing2416)lines,and that growing Jing2416 under drought conditions caused significant decreases in the lactylation of multiple enzymes responsible for fatty acid degradation.Inspired by findings of histone-Kla based epigenetic regulation of immune functions in animals,we initially discovered 37 Kla sites on 16 histones in the maize genome,and again detected obvious differential histone Klamediated trends between two lines by Ch IP-Seq.Notably,only 2.7%of genes with differential histone Kla peaks detected during drought stress were commonly present in both lines,a finding demonstrating that abiotic stress triggers distinct epigenetic activities in diverse germplasm while also strongly supporting that a histone Kla layer of regulation is associated with physiological responses to drought stress.Interestingly,exogenous application of spermidine improved the drought tolerance of B73and substantially altered the levels of lactate,protein lactylation,and histone Kla modification.Thus,beyond extending the known domain of Kla-based biochemical and epigenetic regulation from animal immunity to plant stress physiology,our study suggests the physiological,biochemical,and genetic function of“the best-known metabolic waste”,lactate.Zi Shi Miaoyi Zhou Wei Song Ya Liu Ronghuan Wang Yuandong Wang Ruyang Zhang Jiuran Zhao Wen Ren 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,8:1

15Study on metallurgical properties and pellet proportioning technology of stainless steel cold-rolling sludge显示文摘With a complicated composition,large production and serious damage to the environment,stainless steel cold- rolling sludge has been a focal point concerning environmental protection for stainless steel enterprises. Up to now , neither at home nor abroad have any technologies come into being that are not only proper,safe and economical but also suitable for bulk utilization of stainless steel cold-rolling sludge. Based on the characteristics of the stainless steel cold- rolling sludge,orthogonal experiments were carried out on pellet proportioning and high-temperature roasting,and major metallurgical properties of sludge pellets were also tested. As the results show ,pellets with 30% addition of cold-rolling sludge are qualified regarding their compressive strength,chemical composition and major metallurgical properties. No adverse impact happens to the blast furnace operation when sludge pellets account for 10% of the blast furnace raw materials.
