| 2 | Spatial–temporal distribution and potential ecological risk assessment of nonylphenol and octylphenol in riverine outlets of Pearl River Delta, China显示文摘The aquatic environments of the Pearl River Delta in Southern China are subjected to contamination with various industrial chemicals from local industries. In this paper, the occurrence, seasonal variation and spatial distribution of alkylphenol octylphenol(OP) and nonylphenol(NP) in river surface water and sediments in the runoff outlets of the Pearl River Delta were investigated. NP and OP were detected in all water and sediment samples and their mean concentrations in surface water during the dry season ranged from 810 to 3366 ng/L and85.5 to 581 ng/L, respectively, and those in sediments ranged from 14.2 to 95.2 ng/g dw and 0.4to 3.0 ng/g dw, respectively. In surface water, much higher concentrations were detected in the dry season than those in the wet season. In sediments, the concentrations in the dry season were also mostly higher. High concentrations of NP and OP were found in Humen outlet, likely due to high levels of domestic and industrial wastewater discharges. | 3 | Associations between the physical environment and park-based physical activity:A systematic review显示文摘Background:With an increase in the evidence for the associations between park-based physical activity(PA)and physical environments(especially park and neighborhood environments),researchers face an important challenge in interpreting and summarizing the evidence to develop environ?mental change interventions.An updated review is needed to better inform policymaking and environmental interventions.The current study aimed to systematically review the research on the associations of park-based PA with park and neighborhood environmental characteristics.Methods:We targeted English peer-reviewed articles from 5 electronic databases using keywords related to park-based PA,park environments,and neighborhood environments.Of the 4071 identified papers,25 studies published between 2008 and 2016 met all the eligibility criteria and were included in this review.Results:The characteristics of physical environment that received consistent support included paths/trails,lighting,and incivilities(e.g.,broken glasses and litter).Mixed findings were revealed for 6 park environmental factors(unspecified active facilities,playgrounds and skating areas,fit?ness stations,picnic areas,greenness,and park size)and 2 neighborhood environmental factors(park density and park proximity).Conclusion:It can be concluded that paths/trails,lighting,and incivilities are 3 key physical environmental attributes of park-based PA.Given the inconsistent findings on park and neighborhood environmental factors,more robust designs such as prospective investigation are required. | Ru Zhang Hagen Wulff Yanping Duan Petra Wagner | 2019 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2019,8,5: | 7 |
| 4 | Effects of Bushen Yiqi Huoxue Decoction in Treatment of Patients with Diminished Ovarian Reserve:A Randomized Controlled Trial显示文摘Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of Bushen Yiqi Huoxue Decoction BYHD)in patients with diminished ovarian reserve(DOR).Methods:A total of 180 patients with DOR diagnosed from December2013 to December 2014 were equally assigned into progynova and duphaston(E+D)group,Zuogui Pill group and BYHD group with 60 cases in each by computerized randomization.Patients received E+D,Zuogui Pill or BYHD for 12 months,respectively.Follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),estradiol(E_(2)),anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH),antral follicle count(AFC),ovarian volume,endometrial thickness,and the resistance indices(Rls)of ovarian arteries and uterine arteries were observed before and after treatment.Results:Nine women(4 from the E+D group,3 from the Zuogui Pill group,and 2 from the BYHD group)withdrew from the study.After 6 months,Zuogui Pill and BYHD significantly decreased FSH and LH and increased endometrial thickness and AMH(all P<0.01),BYHD also resulted in E2 elevation(P<0.05),ovary enlargement(P<0.05),AFC increase(P<0.01),and RI of ovarian arteries decrease(P<0.05).After 12 months,further improvements were observed in the Zuogui Pill and BYHD groups(all P<0.01),but BYHD showed better outcomes,with lower FSH,larger ovaries and a thicker endometrium compared with the Zuogui Pill group(all P<0.01).However,E+D only significantly increased endometrial thickness(P<0.01)and no significant improvements were observed in the RI of uterine arteries in the three groups.Conclusions:BYHD had a favorable therapeutic effect in patients with DOR by rebalancing hormone levels,promoting ovulation,and repairing the thin endometrium.The combination of tonifying Shen(Kidney),benefiting qi and activating blood circulation may be a promising therapeutic strategy for DOR. | ZHOU Jing PAN Xin-yao LIN Jin ZHOU Qi LAN Li-kun ZHU Jun DUAN Ru WANG Lan SUN Yan WANG Ling | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2022,28,3: | 7 |

| 7 | Concentrating partially entangledW-class states on nonlocal atoms using low-Q optical cavity and linear optical elements显示文摘Entanglement plays an important role in quantum information science, especially in quantum communications. Here we present an efficient entanglement concentration protocol(ECP) for nonlocal atom systems in the partially entangled W-class states, using the single-photon input-output process regarding low-Q cavity and linear optical elements. Compared with previously published ECPs for the concentration of non-maximally entangled atomic states, our protocol is much simpler and more efficient as it employs the Faraday rotation in cavity quantum electrodynamics(QED) and the parameter-splitting method. The Faraday rotation requires the cavity with low-Q factor and weak coupling to the atom, which makes the requirement for entanglement concentration much less stringent than the previous methods, and achievable with current cavity QED techniques. The parameter-splitting method resorts to linear-optical elements only. | 14 | Molecular characterization of a novel reovirus isolated from SARS patients with distinct S1 segment显示文摘We reported a novel mammalian reovirus, designed BYD1, isolated from throat swabs of patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), in 2003. In the present study, we firstly compared the genome electrophoretic migration patterns of reovirus BYD1 with 3 prototype reovirus strains by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) and determined the complete nucleotide sequence of the S1 gene segment of BYD1 by single primer amplification technique. The electropherogram of BYD1 was different from those of the 3 prototype strains and any other reovirus isolates reported before. The entire S1 segment sequence of BYD1 is 1437 bp long with two meaningful open reading frames (ORFs). The longest ORF encodesσ1, the cell attachment protein, and the second longest ORF supposedly encodesσ1s, an important nonstructural virulence factor. The terminal sequences of S1 segment are 5'GCUA and 3'UCAUC, which are consistent with those of other mammalian reoviruses. The highest homology of deducedσ1 amino acid sequence is 64% identity with known mammalian reoviruses. Phylogenetic analysis of both S1 nucleotide sequence andσ1 amino acid sequence indicated the BYD1 isolate belonged to a new clade of serotype 2 group. | 15 | Cenozoic Uplift of the Central Yunnan Fragment, Southwestern China, Revealed by Apatite(U-Th)/He Dating显示文摘The age of central Yunnan fragment uplift has long been debated, with estimates ranging from the Late Eocene to about 1 Ma. To determine the central Yunnan fragment uplift time in the Cenozoic, apatite(U-Th)/He(AHe) was used to analyze the low-temperature thermochronology of samples from the Jiaozi Mountain area of the eastern central Yunnan fragment. The sampling area is located in the Dongchuan District of Kunming, Yunnan Province, near the Xiaojiang fault zone. The results show that AHe ages from the eastern part of central Yunnan fragment were mainly concentrated around 25.7–37.9 Ma, and intensive uplift had happened before 36.5 Ma. Together with previous low-temperature thermochronology research on the western and eastern central Yunnan fragment, we concluded that the Yunnan Plateau uplifted prior to 36.5 Ma, in a west to east sequence. | 16 | Clinical manifestations of respiratory syncytial virus infection and the risk of wheezing and recurrent wheezing illness:a systematic review and meta‑analysis显示文摘Background Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)infection in infants is a global health priority.We aimed to investigate the common manifestations of RSV infection by age group and human development index(HDI)level and to assess its association with the development of wheezing and recurrent wheezing illness.Methods We searched the literature published between January 1,2010 and June 2,2022 in seven databases.Outcomes included common manifestations and long-term respiratory outcomes of RSV infection in children.Random-and fixed-effect models were used to estimate the effect size and their 95%confidence intervals.Subgroup analysis was conducted by age and HDI levels.This review was registered in PROSPERO(CRD42022379401).Results The meta-analysis included 47 studies.The top five manifestations were cough(92%),nasal congestion(58%),rhinorrhea(53%),shortness of breath(50%),and dyspnea(47%).The clinical symptoms were most severe in infants.In our analysis,compared to very high and high HDI countries,fewer studies in medium HDI countries reported related manifestations,and no study in low HDI countries reported that.The RSV-infected infants were more likely to develop wheezing than the non-infected infants[odds ratio(OR),3.12;95%CI,2.59–3.76]and had a higher risk of developing wheezing illnesses after recovery(OR,2.60;95%CI,2.51–2.70).Conclusions Cough and shortness of breath are common manifestations of RSV infection.More attention should be given to infants and areas with low HDI levels.The current findings confirm an association between RSV infection and wheezing or recurrent wheezing illness. | Ming‑Yue Jiang Yu‑Ping Duan Xun‑Liang Tong Qiang‑Ru Huang Meng‑Meng Jia Wei‑Zhong Yang Lu‑Zhao Feng | 2023 | World Journal of Pediatrics2023,19,11: | 0 |
| 17 | ERF5.1 modulates carotenoid accumulation by interacting with CCD4.1 in Lycium显示文摘Carotenoids are important natural pigments and have medical and health functions for humans.Carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase 4(CCD4)and ethylene responsive factor(ERF)participate in carotenoid metabolism,but their roles in Lycium have not been discovered.Here,we annotated LbCCDs from the Lycium reference genome and found that LbCCD4.1 expression was significantly correlated with the carotenoid metabolites during Lycium five fruit developmental stages.Over-expression of LbCCD4.1 in NQ’s leaves resulted in a series of significantly lower contents of carotenoid metabolites,includingβ-carotene andβ-cryptoxanthin.Moreover,LbERF5.1,a transcription factor belonging to the ERF family that was located in the nucleus,was isolated.Significant reductions in the carotenoids,especially lutein,violaxanthin and their derivatives,were observed in over-expressing ERF5.1 transgenic NQ’s leaves.Over-expression or virus-induced gene silencing of LbERF5.1 in NQ’s leaves induced a consistent up-or down-expression,respectively,of LbCCD4.1.Furthermore,yeast one-hybrid and dual-luciferase reporter assays showed that ERF5.1 interacted with the promoter of CCD4.1 to increase its expression,and LbERF5.1 could bind to any one of the three predicted binding sites in the promoter of LbCCD4.1.A transcriptome analysis of LbERF5.1 and LbCCD4.1 over-expressed lines showed similar global transcript expression,and geranylgeranyl diphosphate synthase,phytoene synthase,lycopeneδ-cyclase cytochrome,cytochrome P450-type monooxygenase 97A,cytochrome P450-type monooxygenase 97C,and zeaxanthin epoxidase in the carotenoid biosynthesis pathway were differentially expressed.In summary,we uncovered a novel molecular mechanism of carotenoid accumulation that involved an interaction between ERF5.1 and CCD4.1,which may be used to enhance carotenoid in Lycium. | Jianhua Zhao Yuhui Xu Haoxia Li Xinlei Zhu Yue Yin Xiyan Zhang Xiaoya Qin Jun Zhou Linyuan Duan Xiaojie Liang Ting Huang Bo Zhang Ru Wan Zhigang Shi Youlong Cao Wei An | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,12: | 0 |

| 20 | Response Mechanisms to Flooding Stress in Mulberry Revealed by Multi-Omics Analysis显示文摘Abiotic stress,including flooding,seriously affects the normal growth and development of plants.Mulberry(Morus alba),a species known for its flood resistance,is cultivated worldwide for economic purposes.The transcriptomic analysis has identified numerous differentially expressed genes(DEGs)involved in submergence tolerance in mulberry plants.However,a comprehensive analyses of metabolite types and changes under flooding stress in mulberry remain unreported.A non-targeted metabolomic analysis utilizing liquid chromatographytandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS)was conducted to further investigate the effects of flooding stress on mulberry.A total of 1,169 metabolites were identified,with 331 differentially accumulated metabolites(DAMs)exhibiting up-regulation in response to flooding stress and 314 displaying down-regulation.Pathway enrichment analysis identified significant modifications in many metabolic pathways due to flooding stress,including amino acid biosynthesis and metabolism and flavonoid biosynthesis.DAMs and DEGs are significantly enriched in the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathways for amino acid,phenylpropanoid and flavonoid synthesis.Furthermore,metabolites such as methyl jasmonate,sucrose,and D-mannose 6-phosphate accumulated in mulberry leaves post-flooding stress.Therefore,genes and metabolites associated with these KEGG pathways are likely to exert a significant influence on mulberry flood tolerance.This study makes a substantial contribution to the comprehension of the underlying mechanisms implicated in the adaptation of mulberry plants to submergence. | Jingtao Hu Wenjing Chen Yanyan Duan Yingjing Ru Wenqing Cao Pingwei Xiang Chengzhi Huang Li Zhang Jingsheng Chen Liping Gan | 2024 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2024,93,2: | 0 |
