1The AGL6-like gene OsMADS6 regulates floral organ and meristem identities in rice显示文摘Although AGAMOUS-LIKE6 (AGL6) MADS-box genes are ancient with wide distributions in gymnosperms and angiosperms, their functions remain poorly understood. Here, we show the biological role of the AGL6-1ike gene, OsMADS6, in specifying floral organ and meristem identities in rice (Oryza sativa L.). OsMADS6 was strongly ex- pressed in the floral meristem at early stages. Subsequently, OsMADS6 transcripts were mainly detectable in paleas, lodicules, carpels and the integument of ovule, as well as in the receptacle. Compared to wild type plants, osmads6 mutants displayed altered palea identity, extra glume-like or mosaic organs, abnormal carpel development and loss of floral meristem determinacy. Strikingly, mutation of a SEPALLATA (SEP)-like gene, OsMADS1 (LHS1), enhanced the defect of osmads6 flowers, and no inner floral organs or glume-like structures were observed in whorls 2 and 3 of osmadsl-z osmads6-1 flowers. Furthermore, the osmadsl-z osmads6-1 double mutants developed severely indetermi- nate floral meristems. 2Discovery of hydrothermal venting community at the base of Cambrian barite in Guizhou Province,Western China: Implication for the Cambrian biological explosion显示文摘The barite deposit in the Niutitang Formation of Lower Cambrian,in Tianzhu County,Guizhou Province,western China,is a super- large barite deposit with about 2·109tons of reserves.Mineral,petrological and geochemical studies reveal that this barite deposit belongs to a hydrothermal sedimentary deposit.Microscopic observations indicate that a lot of algae,sponge spicules and tube-type fos- sils are well-preserved in this barite section,and moreover,those fossils share most characteristics of the deep-sea hydrothermal venting community in the modern Pacific.We suggest that the hydrothermal venting community was thriving in hydrothermal vent in early Cam- brian,and it is of great significance for elucidating the geological background of the‘‘Cambrian explosion’’.China Press.All rights reserved.Ruidong Yang Huairui Wei Miao Bao Wei Wang QiangWang Xiaodong Zhang Ling Liu 2008Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2008,18,1:10

10Generative adversarial networks enhanced location privacy in 5G networks显示文摘5G networks,as the up-to-date communication platforms,are experiencing fast booming.Meanwhile,increasing volumes of sensitive data,especially location information,are being generated and shared using 5G networks for various purposes ceaselessly.Location and trajectory information in the published data has always been and will keep courting risks and attacks by malicious adversaries.Therefore,there are still privacy leakage threats by simply sharing the original data,especially data with location information,due to the short cover range of 5G signal tower.To better address these issues,we proposed a generative adversarial networks(GAN)enhanced location privacy protection model to cloak the location and even trajectory information.We use posterior sampling to generate a subset of data,which is proved complying with differential privacy requirements from the end device side.After that,a data augmentation algorithm modified from classic GAN is devised to generate a series of privacy-preserving full-sized synthetic data from the central server side.With the synthetic data generated from a real-world dataset,we demonstrate the superiority of the proposed model in terms of location privacy protection,data utility,and prediction accuracy.Youyang QU Jingwen ZHANG Ruidong LI Xiaoning ZHANG Xuemeng ZHAI Shui YU 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,12:1
11Acute myeloid leukemia following a primary mediastinal germ cell tumor显示文摘Introduction:There is a known association between primary mediastinal germ cell tumor(PMGCT)and hematologic malignancy that is not linked to treatment.They are exceptionally rare entities with a low morbidity and a poor prognosis.Case presentation:An 11-year-old boy presented with an anterior mediastinal mass diagnosed as a malignant germ cell tumor on the basis of an excisional biopsy.He was found to have acute myeloid leukemia(AML)two years after the chemotherapy for his germ cell tumor.The clinical course was very aggressive with a survival time of only 1 week after diagnosis of AML associated with PMGCT.Conclusion:AML associated with PMGCT needs to be diagnosed correctly.Relevant examinations should be carried out in patients with PMGCTs during and after chemotherapy,and long-term follow-up is still necessary to reduce the risk of morbidity and mortality.Huimin Hong Yan Su Chenghao Chen Lejian He Shuai Zhu Wei Lin Mei Jin Xisi Wang Ruidong Zhang Huyong Zheng Qi Zeng Xiaoli Ma 2020Pediatric Investigation2020,4,3:1

18Synergistic oxidation-reforming of biomass for high quality syngas production based on a bifunctional catalyst显示文摘Conventional O_(2)gasification for low-rank biomass/sludge conversion is prone to high CO_(2)concentrations in the syngas because of its high O content and low calorific value.This study establishes a synergistic oxidationreforming reaction route for the conversion of low-rank carbon-containing resources into high-quality syngas.The efficient oxidation-reforming reaction is based on the bifunctional catalyst NiO-Fe2O3/Al2O3,which includes Fe2O3 oxidation sites and NiO reforming sites.Hydrogen temperature-programmed reduction,together with X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy experiments,demonstrated that the two functional active sites have strong interactions with the support,leading to efficient cooperation between the oxidation reaction and reforming reaction with regards to both the reaction sequence and C/H/O element balance.Syngas produced from biomass/sludge based on oxidation-reforming reactions has an extremely low CO_(2)concentration of approximately 3%,and the valid gas(CO,H_(2))concentration exceeds 95%.The valid gas yield of walnut shell reached 1452.9 mL/g,the total gas yield was 1507.2 mL/g,and the H_(2)/CO ratio was 1.02,which are all very close to the theoretical maximum values of 1553.1 mL/g and 1.01,respectively,demonstrating that the inherent CO_(2)/H_(2)O along with CH4/tar species were efficiently converted to H_(2)and CO through oxidation-reforming reactions.During a 60-cycle test,NiO-Fe2O3/Al2O3 exhibited good redox stability.Tao He Dan Zhang Wenqing Chen Zeng Liu Ruidong Zhao Jianqing Li Jingli Wu Zhiqi Wang Jinhu Wu 2024Green Carbon2024,2,1:0

20Protective effects of IRG1/itaconate on acute colitis through the inhibition of gasdermins-mediated pyroptosis and inflammation response显示文摘Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a chronic relapsing gastrointestinal disorder,while the treatment effect is not satisfactory.Immune responsive gene 1(IRG1)is a highly ex-pressed gene in macrophage in response to inflammatory response and catalyzes the production of itaconate.Studies have reported that IRG1/itaconate has a significant antioxidant effect.This study aimed to investigate the effect and mechanism of IRG1/itaconate on dextran sulfate so-dium(DSS)-induced colitis in vivo and in vitro.In vivo experiments,we found IRG1/itaconate ex-erted protective effects against acute colitis by increasing mice weight,the length of colon,reducing disease activity index and colonic inflammation.Meanwhile,IRG1 deletion aggravated the macrophages/CD4+/CD8+T-cell accumulation,and increased the release of interleukin(IL)-1b,tumor necrosis factor-a(TNF-a),IL-6,the activation of nuclear factor-kB(NF-kB)/mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathway,and gasdermin D(GSDMD)mediated pyrop-tosis.Four-octyl itaconate(4-OI),a derivative of itaconate,attenuated these changes,therefore relieved DSS-induced colitis.In vitro experiment,we found 4-OI inhibited the reactive oxygen species production,thereby inhibiting the activation of MAPK/NF-kB signaling pathway in RAW264.7 and murine bone-marrow-derived macrophages.Simultaneously,we found 4-OI inhib-ited caspase1/GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis to reduce the release of cytokines.Finally,we found anti-TNF-a agent reduced the severity of DSS-induced colitis and inhibited gasdermin E(GSDME)-mediated pyroptosis in vivo.Meanwhile,our study revealed that 4-OI inhibited caspase3/GSDME-mediated pyroptosis induced by TNF-a in vitro.Taken together,IRG1/itaconate exerted a pro-tective role in DSS-induced colitis by inhibiting inflammatory response and GSDMD/GSDME-medi-ated pyroptosis,which could be a promising candidate for IBD therapy.Wenchang Yang Yaxin Wang Tao Wang Chengguo Li Liang Shi Peng Zhang Yuping Yin Kaixiong Tao Ruidong Li 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,4:0
