1Gastrointestinal bleeding during acute ischaemic stroke hospitalisation increases the risk of stroke recurrence显示文摘Objective Gastrointestinal(GI)bleeding in patients who had a stroke is strongly associated with a higher risk of death and loss of independence.However,it is unknown whether GI bleeding increases risk for recurrence of stroke.In this study,we assess the potential relationship between GI bleeding and stroke recurrence in patients within 12 months of an acute ischaemic stroke(AIS),using the China National Stroke Registry(CNSR).Methods This study included 22216 patients who had an ischaemic stroke included in the CNSR from 2007 to 2008.We analysed baseline patient characteristics,GI bleeding and outcomes of patients who had an AIS,specifically stroke recurrence at 3,6 and 12 months.We used multivariable logistic regression to evaluate a possible association between GI bleeding and stroke recurrence.results Of the 12415 patients included in our study,12.3%,15.5%and 17.7%had a stroke recurrence at 3,6 and 12 months,respectively.GI bleeding was an independent stroke recurrence risk factor in patients after ischaemic stroke at 3 months(adjusted OR 1.481,95%CI 1.118 to 1.962),6 months(adjusted OR 1.448,95%CI 1.106 to 1.896)and 12 months(adjusted OR 1.350;95%CI 1.034 to 1.763).Conclusion GI bleeding was associated with the increased risk of stroke recurrence after an AIS.Wanliang Du Xingquan Zhao Yilong Wang Yuesong Pan Gaifen Liu Anxin Wang Ruijun Ji Liping Liu Hongqiu Gu Kehui Dong Penglian Wang Yongjun Wang 2020Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2:7

4Fabrication of novel bifunctional nanohybrid based on layered rare-earth hydroxide with magnetic and fluorescent properties显示文摘We demonstrate the fabrication of a novel magnetic nanohybrid involving the drug molecule 5 aminolevulinic acid(5-ALA)intercalated Gd-Eu layered rare-earth hydroxide(LRH)coated on magnesium ferrite particles(MgFe2O4).The structure,thermostability,morphology,luminescence properties,cytotoxic effect and magnetism are investigated.The 5-ALA intercalated composite may correspond to a monolayered vertical arrangement,and the thermal stability of organics is enhanced after intercalation.The LRH precursor shows red emission of Eu^3+and the maximum emission peak of the composite is at 451 nm,corresponding to the blue emission.The detection of drug molecules can be realized through the change of luminescence.The magnetic nanohybrid shows strong magnetic sensitivity,which provides an easy and efficient way to separate 5-ALA-MgFe2O4@LGd0.95H:Eu0.05 particles from a sol or a suspension system and to carry drugs to targeted locations under an external magnetic field.The cytotoxic effect of MgFe2O4@LRH is observed with a sulforhodamine B(SRB)colorimetric assay,which has low cytotoxic effects on selected cells.The fabrication of novel bifunctional drug carriers based on LRH with magnetic and fluorescent properties has potential applications in drug detection and drug delivery.Qingyang GU jinyan LI Liangshuo JI Ruijun JU Haibo JIN Rongyue ZHANG 2020Frontiers of Materials Science2020,14,4:0
5Facile and scalable preparation of ultra-large boron nitride nanosheets and their use for highly thermally conductive polymer composites显示文摘Due to their excellent physical and chemical properties,boron nitride nanosheets(BNNSs)have shown great application potential in many fields.However,the difficulty in scalable preparation of large-size BNNSs is still the current factor that limits this.Herein,a simple yet efficient microwave-assisted chemical exfoliation strategy is proposed to realize scalable preparation of BNNSs by using perchloric acid as the edge modifier and intercalation agent of h-BN.The as-obtained BNNSs behave a thin-layered structure(average thickness of 3.9 nm)with a high yield of~16%.Noteworthy,the size of BNNSs is maintained to the greatest extent so as to realize the preparation of BNNSs with ultra-large size(up to 7.1μm),which is the largest so far obtained for the top-down exfoliated BNNSs.Benefiting from the large size,it can significantly improve the thermal diffusion coefficient and the thermal conductivity of polyvinyl alcohol by 51 and 62 times respectively,both showing a higher value than the one previously reported.This demonstrates that the prepared BNNSs have great promise in enhancing the thermal conductivity of polymer materials.Wenyu WU Bin GUO Xiaojing LIU Huaxin MA Zhao ZHANG Zhi ZHANG Minghao CUI Yu GU Ruijun ZHANG 2022Frontiers of Materials Science2022,16,1:0
