11Pillar[6]arenes: From preparation, host-guest property to self-assembly and applications显示文摘Pillar[n]arenes primarily comprise pillar[5]arenes and pillar[6]arenes, which belong to the new class of supramolecular macrocyclic hosts. Pillar[n]arenes have aroused wide attention because of their highly rigid and symmetrical architectures, controllable cavity size, and wide applications in a wide variety of areas. Although pillar[6]arene is difficult to synthesize, numerous studies have been conducted on it. In this review, the strategies to synthesize and functionalize pillar[6]arenes are investigated systematically.In addition, their host-guest properties in organic solvents and in aqueous solution are described. Moreover, pillar[6]arenes applied in different fields(e.g., molecular recognition, drug release, cancer therapy,and gas separation) are clarified. 16An amphiphilic[2]biphenyl-extended pillar[6]arene:Synthesis,controllable self-assembly in water and application in cell-imaging显示文摘Synthesis and functionalization of novel macrocyclic host molecules are important topics in supramolecular chemistry.In this work,the first amphiphilic[2]biphenyl-extended pillar[6]arene(AM-[2]BP-ExP6)was designed and synthesized with poly(ethylene glycol)chains as the hydrophilic tails and a rigid cavity as the hydrophobic core.Due to its amphiphilic nature,AM-[2]BP-ExP6 could self-assemble to stable fibers in water.What’s more,AM-[2]BP-ExP6 could associate with quaternary ammonium modified tetraphenylethylene guest(QTPE)to form a 2:1 host-guest complex,accompanied by significant enhanced fluorescence.Interestingly,different like AM-[2]BP-ExP6,AM-[2]BP-ExP6⊃QTPE host-guest complex selfassembled into fluorescent particles with diameter about 310 nm,the obtained fluorescent particles can be further employed in living cell imaging.Tingting Chen Jian Wang Ruowen Tang Yuying Huang Qin Zhao Yong Yao 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8:0
17A review: effect and mechanism of plant extracts rich in polyphenols on reducing uric acid activity显示文摘Hyperuricemia is a metabolic condition caused by the increase of uric acid level in the body,which can lead to gout,kidney disease,cardiovascular disease,hypertension and diabetes.In recent years,the incidence rate of hyperuricemia has been increasing and gradually becoming younger.Allopurinol and febuxostat are commonly used drugs to reduce the level of uric acid in the body.Although these drugs have good curative effect,they can produce adverse reactions.Therefore,it has been the focus of attention to find appropriate treatment and new drugs to reduce serum uric acid level.Natural plants have become the source of new drugs for their multiple biological activities,strong efficacy and minimal side effects.More and more studies have shown that natural plant extracts rich in phenols,flavonoids and other active components can significantly reduce the level of uric acid,and improve the complications caused by high uric acid.In this paper,hyperuricemia related diseases,functional plants rich in polyphenols with the effect of reducing uric acid and the mechanism of their active components were reviewed.Shuping Wang Fuqi Wang Ruowen Zhang Xu Zhao 2021Journal of Polyphenols2021,3,1:0
18Enhanced asymmetrically clipped DC biased optical OFDM for intensity-modulated direct-detection systems显示文摘In this paper,we propose an EADO-OFDM(Enhanced Asymmetrically Clipped DC Biased Optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)method for IM/DD(Intensity-Modulated DirectDetection)optical systems,in which the AV-DCO-OFDM(Absolute Valued DC Biased Optical OFDM)symbols on the even subcarriers and ACO-OFDM(Asymmetrically Clipped Optical OFDM)symbols on the odd subcarriers are combined for simultaneous transmission.Moreover,we discuss the PDF(Probability Density Function)and electrical SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio)of the symbols,which are utilized to estimate the BER(Bit Error Ratio)performance and overall performance of EADO-OFDM.The Monte Carlo simulation results have validated the theoretical analysis and have also confirmed the EADO-OFDM is attractive considering the following benefits.Firstly,EADO-OFDM is more energy efficient compared to the power-efficient DCO-OFDM(DC Biased Optical OFDM),since the required DC bias is smaller when appropriate constellation size combinations are chosen.In addition,EADO-OFDM performs better than the conventional ADO-OFDM(Asymmetrically Clipped DC Biased Optical OFDM),because the absolute value operation causes no clipping distortion.Ruowen Bai Jiaxuan Chen Tianqi Mao Zhaocheng Wang 2017Journal of Communications and Information Networks2017,2,4:0
19Intermittent F-actin Perturbations by Magnetic Fields Inhibit Breast Cancer Metastasis显示文摘F-actin(filamentous actin)has been shown to be sensitive to mechanical stimuli and play critical roles in cell attachment,migration,and cancer metastasis,but there are very limited ways to perturb F-actin dynamics with low cell toxicity.Magnetic field is a noninvasive and reversible physical tool that can easily penetrate cells and human bodies.Here,we show that 0.1/0.4-T 4.2-Hz moderate-intensity low-frequency rotating magnetic field-induced electric field could directly decrease F-actin formation in vitro and in vivo,which results in decreased breast cancer cell migration,invasion,and attachment.Moreover,lowfrequency rotating magnetic fields generated significantly different effects on F-actin in breast cancer vs.noncancerous cells,including F-actin number and their recovery after magnetic field retrieval.Using an intermittent treatment modality,low-frequency rotating magnetic fields could significantly reduce mouse breast cancer metastasis,prolong mouse survival by 31.5 to 46.0%(P<0.0001),and improve their overall physical condition.Therefore,our work demonstrates that low-frequency rotating magnetic fields not only can be used as a research tool to perturb F-actin but also can inhibit breast cancer metastasis through F-actin modulation while having minimum effects on normal cells,which reveals their potential to be developed as temporal-controlled,noninvasive,and high-penetration physical treatments for metastatic cancer.Xinmiao Ji Xiaofei Tian Shuang Feng Lei Zhang Junjun Wang Ruowen Guo Yiming Zhu Xin Yu Yongsen Zhang Haifeng Du Vitalii Zablotskii Xin Zhang 2023Research2023,,4:0
20Multi‐vital on‐skin optoelectronic biosensor for assessing regional tissue hemodynamics显示文摘Evaluation of the oxygen‐mediated effects of clinical and daily activities demands an on‐skin device that can track multi‐vital regional tissue hemodynamics simultaneously.For example,peripheral arterial disease(PAD)is the third most prevalent cardiovascular disease,but the means of diagnosing and monitoring this disease are limited because the affected area is usually in the non‐pulsatile area away from the heart.Herein,we report on an ultrathin and ultralight multi‐vital near‐infrared optoelectronic biosensor for the diagnosis and rehabilitation monitoring of regional tissue hemodynamics,which is suitable for mounting on the skin for long‐term measurement.The device can simultaneously detect tissue oxygen saturation,heart rate,arterial blood oxygen,and tissue perfusion and shows potential for various hypoxia monitoring applications.Moreover,the tissue hemodynamics detected by this device showed a highly accordance with the ankle‐brachial index and CT angiography obtained by traditional clinical methods.Therefore,our design was able to accurately diagnose and effectively evaluate PAD patients before and after surgery.The on‐skin optoelectronic biosensor shows potential in biological oxygen‐mediated behavior evaluation,injury‐state monitoring,PAD clinical diagnosis optimization,and after surgery care.Ming Xin Tong Yu Yongchang Jiang Ruowen Tao Jiean Li Feng Ran Tangsong Zhu Jinrong Huang Jing Zhang Jia‐Han Zhang Nan Hu Wei Wang Qiuhong Zhang Zhao Liu Xinran Wang Yi Shi Lijia Pan 2023SmartMat2023,4,3:0
