| 1 | Sequence-related amplified polymorphism primer screening on Chinese fir(Cunninghamia lanceolata(Lamb.) Hook)显示文摘Chinese fir(Cunninghamia lanceolata(Lamb.)Hook) is one of the most important coniferous tree species used for timber production in China. Here, we conducted a sequence-related amplified polymorphism(SRAP) primer screening assay with a total of 594 primer combinations,using 22 forward and 27 reverse primers on four representative Chinese fir genotypes. The obtained results indicated that Chinese fir genomic DNA has a notable amplification bias on the employed forward or reverse primer nucleotides(30selection bases). Out of the tested primer sets, 35 primer combinations with clearly distinguished bands, stable amplification, and rich polymorphism were selected and identified as optimal primer sets. These optimal primer pairs gave a total of 379 scorable bands,including 265 polymorphic bands, with an average of 10.8bands and 7.6 polymorphic bands per primer combination.The produced band number for each optimal primer set ranged from 7 to 14 with a percentage of polymorphic bands spanning from 33.3 to 100.0 %. | 2 | Facile surface modification of mesoporous silica with heterocyclic silanes for efficiently removing arsenic显示文摘Arsenic being one of the most toxic heavy metals has long been a focus of concern due to its gravest threats to human health and environment. Herein, we employ a new method named ring-opening click reaction to synthesize thiol- and amino- bifunctionalized SBA-15 (denoted as bi-SBA-15) for directly remove As(Ⅲ) without preoxidation As(Ⅲ) to As(V) from contaminated water. Quite different from commonly modified with trialkoxysilanes, ring-opening click reaction is substantially faster (0.5–2 h at 25 ℃) and more efficient. The synthesized bi-SBA-15 exhibits excellent adsorption performance of As(Ⅲ) and As(V) in an aqueous solution with a great adsorption capacity (33.70 mg/g and 42.66 mg/g, respectively), a very short equilibrium time (<30 min), which is much faster than those of other adsorbents reported previously. | 4 | Performance-enhanced and cost-effective triboelectric nanogenerator based on stretchable electrode for wearable SpO2 monitoring显示文摘Recently,stretchable and wearable health monitoring equipment has greatly improved human’s daily life,which sets higher demands for portable power source in stretchability,sustainability,and biocompatibility.In this work,we proposed a stretchable triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)based on stretchable poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS)/porous carbon hybrid for oxyhemoglobin saturation(SpO2)monitoring.To combine advantages of carbon material for its high conductivity and organic electrode for its high stretchability,we spin-coated a solution of PEDOT:PSS/porous carbon onto a plasma-treated pre-stretched Ecoflex film to fabricate a stretchable electrode with rough surface.Due to its roughness and high potential difference with the dielectric material,the stretchable-electrode-based TENG exhibited better performance compared to the pristine TENG based on carbon or PEDOT:PSS material.The output voltage and current reached up to 51.5 V and 13.2μA as the carbon concentration increased.More importantly,the performance further increased under large strain(100%)which is suitable for wearable systems.Finally,the device demonstrated its application potential for powering a flexible blood oxygen monitor.This simple and cost-effective method can enhance the stretchability and stability of organic/inorganic electrode-based TENG,which paves the development of high-performance stretchable TENG. | Huamin Chen Wei Yang Cheng Zhang Mingqiang Wu Wenjie Li Yuxiao Zou Longfeng Lv Hualiang Yu Huizhen Ke Ruping Liu Yun Xu Jun Wang Zhou Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 2 |

| 6 | Estrogen receptor gene polymorphism in a Chinese population with multiple sclerosis显示文摘This study sought to elucidate the role of the PvuII and XbaI polymorphisms of the estrogen receptor gene in 74 Chinese patients with multiple sclerosis, and 95 ethnicity-matched controls, using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment-length polymorphism analysis. The results revealed that the P allele of PvuII was significantly more prevalent in multiple sclerosis patients compared with controls (P = 0.019). While distribution frequencies were significantly increased in female multiple sclerosis patients compared with female controls (P = 0.044), no significant difference was observed between male patients and controls (P > 0.05). Frequencies of Ppxx genotypes were significantly higher in multiple sclerosis patients compared with controls (24.3% vs. 12.8%, P = 0.025). Genotypes and alleles of the estrogen receptor were not associated with age, number of attacks or expanded disability status scale scores of patients with multiple sclerosis. These findings indicate that the PvuII but not the XbaI polymorphism in the estrogen receptor gene is associated with susceptibility to multiple sclerosis in the Chinese population. | 8 | Expression of acetylated histone 3 in the spinal cord and the effect of morphine on inflammatory pain in rats显示文摘In this study, a rat model of inflammatory pain was produced by injecting complete Freund's adjuvant into the hind paw, and the expression of acetylated histone 3 in the spinal cord dorsal horn was examined using immunohistochemical staining. One day following injection, there was a dramatic decrease in acetylated histone 3 expression in spinal cord dorsal horn neurons. However, on day 7, expression recovered in adjuvant-injected rats. While acetylated histone 3 labeling was present in dorsal horn neurons, it was more abundant in astrocytes and microglial cells. The recovery of acetylated histone 3 expression was associated with a shift in expression of the protein from neurons to glial cells. Morphine injection significantly upregulated the expression of acetylated histone 3 in spinal cord dorsal horn neurons and glial cells 1 day after injection, especially in astrocytes, preventing the transient downregulation. Our results indicate that inflammatory pain induces a transient downregulation of acetylated histone 3 in the spinal cord dorsal horn at an early stage following adjuvant injection, and that this effect can be reversed by morphine. | 12 | BRCA1 involved in regulation of Bcl-2 expression and apoptosis susceptibility to ionizing radiation显示文摘BRCA1 has been proposed to be tightly linked to the resistance of tumor cells to ionizing radiation. The pathway leading to this phenomenon is not yet clear. In this work, we investigated the role of BRCA1 in the apoptosis regulation in response to carbon ion irradiation. We utilized three different cancer cell lines with various states for BRCA1 and p53 to identify the relationship between endogenous BRCA1 and the apoptosis-related genes, and determine whether p53 function would affect the role of BRCA1 in apoptosis regulation. By Western blot analysis, we found that Bax expressions were not significantly changed after irradiation in all of three cell lines. However, Bcl-2 expression showed an up-regulation by endogenous BRCA1 regardless of p53 status. Moreover, the changes in Bcl-2 protein were due to the increase in the transcriptional levels of Bcl-2 mRNA, based on real-time PCR assay. At the same time, BRCA1-deficient cells showed a greater apoptosis susceptibility to irradiation when compared with BRCA1-proficient cells. | 13 | Association of Remnant-like Particle Cholesterol with Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events in Subjects with Different Levels of Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin/Kexin 9:A 9.5-year Follow-up Study in a Beijing Community Population显示文摘Objective::The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between remnant-like particle cholesterol(RLP-C)and major adverse cardiovascular events(MACEs)in patients with different levels of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin 9(PCSK9).Methods::From September 2007 to January 2009,1,859 subjects in Pingguoyuan communities in Beijing were initially screened.After excluding those with bedridden status,mental illness,severe systemic diseases,and missing data,1,680 subjects were recruited for follow up.All recruited subjects were followed up from February 2013 to September 2013(181 subjects were lost to follow-up)and from June 2017 to September 2018(174 subjects were lost to follow up).Finally,1,325 subjects were included in the study.General demographic characteristics,lifestyle and behaviors,disease history and use of medication was collected.Levels of total cholesterol,triglycerides,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,fast blood glucose,RLP-C,low-density lipoprotein triglycerides and PCSK9 were measured.The levels of RLP-C(low:RLP-C≤157 mg/L;high:RLP-C>157 mg/L)and PCSK9(low:PCSK9≤135.87μg/L;high:PCSK9>135.87μg/L)were represented using quartiles.Subjects were categorized into 4 groups according to their RLP-C and PCSK9 levels:Q4,high levels of RLP-C with high levels of PCSK9;Q3,high levels of RLP-C with low levels of PCSK9;Q2,low levels of RLP-C with high levels of PCSK9;and Q1,low levels of RLP-C with low levels of PCSK9.The association of RLP-C with MACEs in subjects with different PCSK9 levels was evaluated.Results::After a median follow-up of 9.5 years,1,325 subjects were included in the study and a total of 191 MACEs had occurred.The incidence of MACEs was higher in the RLP-C>157 mg/L group than the RLP-C≤157 mg/L group(18.40%vs.10.42%).Cox proportional hazards regression model analysis showed that increased RLP-C levels were associated with an increased risk of MACEs(hazard ratio:1.405;95%confidence interval:1.005-1.964;P<0.005).The incidence of MACEs was higher in the high RLP-C/PCSK9 group vs.the low RLP-C/PCSK9 group(20.68%vs.8.76%).Cox proportional hazards regression model analysis showed that RLP-C was associated with an increased risk of MACEs in subjects with high PCSK9 levels independent of traditional risk factors(hazard ratio:1.791;95%confidence interval:1.168-2.825;P=0.001),but not in those with low PCSK9 levels.Conclusions::RLP-C was identified as a risk factor for MACEs,particularly in subjects with high PCSK9 levels.Lowering PCSK9 levels may reduce residual risk in subjects with elevated plasma RLP-C levels. | Xiaona Wang Ruping Tie Ruihua Cao Xu Yang Wenkai Xiao Li Sheng Ping Ye | 2023 | Cardiology Discovery2023,3,3: | 0 |

| 15 | Boosting the photocatalytic nitrogen reduction to ammonia through adsorption-plasmonic synergistic effects显示文摘Ammonia is one of the most essential chemicals in the modern society but its production still heavily relies on energy-consuming Haber-Bosch processes.The photocatalytic reduction of nitrogen with water for ammonia production has attracted much attention recently due to its synthesis under mild conditions at room temperature and atmospheric pressure using sunlight.Herein,we report a high-performance Au/MIL-100(Cr)photocatalyst,comprising MIL-100(Cr)and Au nanoparticles in photocatalytic nitrogen reduction to ammonia at ambient conditions under visible light irradiation.The optimized photocatalyst(i.e.,0.10Au/MIL-100(Cr))achieved the excellent ammonia production rate with 39.9μg g_(cat)^(-1) h^(-1) compared with pure MIL-100(Cr)(2.73μg gcat^(-1) h^(-1)),which was nearly 15 times that on pure MIL-100(Cr).The remarkable activity could be attributed to the adsorption-plasmonic synergistic effects in which the MIL-100(Cr)and Au are responsible to the strong trapping and adsorption of N2 molecules and photo-induced plasmonic hot electrons activating and decomposing the N2 molecules,respectively.This study might provide a new strategy for designing an efficient plasmonic photocatalyst to improve the photocatalytic performance of N2 fixation under visible light irradiation. | Yunni Liu Xingyu Ye Ruping Li Ying Tao Chi Zhang Zichao Lian Dieqing Zhang Guisheng Li | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,12: | 0 |
| 16 | Functional groups and seasonal diversity of crustacean zooplankton in adjacent waters of Haizhou Bay,South Yellow Sea显示文摘Zooplankton are important linkages in the food web and can respond nonlinearly to environmental changes.Marine organisms thrive from spring to summer.Thus,it is crucial to understand how ecological functions of zooplankton communities may shift under seasonal environmental changes during this period.Samples were collected from May to August(May,June-Ⅰ,June-Ⅱ,July-Ⅰ,July-Ⅱ,and August)in 2018 in Haizhou Bay,Jiangsu,East China for zooplankton and environmental variables.Crustaceans accounted for 75 out of 134 zooplankton taxa and 91.8%of total zooplankton abundance.The average abundance of crustacean varied between 2824.6±635.4 inds./m3 in July-Ⅱand 6502.7±1008.8 inds./m3 in June-Ⅱ.Multivariate analyses results showed that the dissimilarity of community increased gradually in the time series.Body length,feeding type,trophic group,and reproduction mode were used to investigate crustacean community functions.Trait-based functional groups contained species with similar ecological roles.Functional diversity fused the differences of species and trait.The proportion of large-sized species(2-5 mm)decreased with the increasing proportion of medium-sized species(1-2 mm).The proportion of current feeders increased with the drop in the proportion of mixed feeders.Parthenogenesis species increased with decreasing free spawners,and omnivores-carnivores increased with decreasing omnivoresherbivores.Generalized additive models suggested that temperature was the main driver of variations in crustacean zooplankton function.Seven identified functional groups varied with increasing temperature.Omnivorous-herbivorous copepods declined(90.0%-68.0%),whereas the parthenogenetic cladocerans increased(0-24.1%).The small egg-brooding ambush copepods fluctuated(6.5%-9.3%)with increasing water temperature.The other functional groups changed slightly.Functional diversity also varied according to temperature changes.The community structure and ecological function of crustacean zooplankton community showed gradual changes with increasing temperature from spring to summer. | Zeqi ZHENG Shunan FU Yixuan LI Ruping GE Hongju CHEN Zhenjiang YE Yunyun ZHUANG Guangxing LIU | 2023 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,3: | 0 |
| 17 | Trait-based approach revealed the seasonal variation of mesozooplankton functional groups in the South Yellow Sea显示文摘Functional traits determine the fitness of organisms and mirror their ecological functions.Although trait-based approaches provide ecological insights,it is underexploited for marine zooplankton,particularly with respect to seasonal variation.Here,based on four major functional traits,including body length,feeding type,trophic group,and reproduction mode,we quantified the seasonal variations of mesozooplankton functional groups in the South Yellow Sea(SYS)in the spring,summer,and autumn of 2018.Strong seasonal dynamics were identified for all traits but patterns varied among traits.Small zooplankton(47.7–88.6%),omnivores–herbivores(81.3–97.6%),and free spawners(54.8–92.5%)dominated in three seasons,while ambush feeders and current feeders dominated in spring(45.7%),and autumn(73.4%),respectively.Cluster analysis of the functional traits showed that the mesozooplankton in the SYS can be classified into eight functional groups.The biogeographic and seasonal variations of functional groups can be partially explained by environmental drivers.Group 1,represented by omnivores–herbivores,was the most dominant functional group,the abundance of which peaked in spring and was positively correlated with chlorophyll a concentration,indicating its close association with phytoplankton dynamics.The contribution of giant,active ambush carnivores,passive ambush carnivore jellyfish,current omnivores–detritivores,and parthenogenetic cladocerans increased with sea surface temperature.The proportion of giant,active ambush carnivores and active ambush omnivore–carnivore copepods decreased with salinity in autumn.This study presents a new perspective for understanding the dynamics of zooplankton and paves the way for further research on the functional diversity of zooplankton in the SYS. | Zhishuang Zhang Hongju Chen Yixuan Li Ruping Ge Guangxing Liu Shaukat Ali Yunyun Zhuang | 2023 | Marine Life Science & Technology2023,5,1: | 0 |
