| 1 | Sequencing of Cultivated Peanut, Arachis hypogaea, Yields Insights into Genome Evolution and Oil Improvement显示文摘Cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is an allotetraploid crop planted in Asia, Africa, and America for edible oil and protein. To explore the origins and consequences of tetraploidy, we sequenced the allotetraploid A. hypogaea genome and compared it with the related diploid Arachis duranensis and Arachis ipaensis genomes. We annotated 39 888 A-subgenome genes and 41 526 B-subgenome genes in allotetraploid peanut. The A. hypogaea subgenomes have evolved asymmetrically, with the B subgenome resembling the ancestral state and the A subgenome undergoing more gene disruption, loss, conversion, and transposable element proliferation, and having reduced gene expression during seed development despite lacking genome-wide expression dominance. Genomic and transcriptomic analyses identified more than 2 500 oil metabolism-related genes and revealed that most of them show altered expression early in seed development while their expression ceases during desiccation, presenting a comprehensive map of peanut lipid biosynthesis. | 2 | Geochemical and isotopic characteristics of volcanic rocks from the northern East China Sea shelf margin and the Okinawa Trough显示文摘Volcanic rocks both from the northern East China Sea (NECS) shelf margin and the northern Okinawa Trough are subalkaline less aluminous,and lower in High Field Strength Elements (HFSE).These rocks are higher in Large Ion Lithophile Elements (LILE),thorium and uranium contents,positive lead anomalies,negative Nb-Ta anomalies,and enrichment in Light Rare Earth Elements (LREE).Basalts from the NECS shelf margin are akin to Indian Ocean Mid-Ocean Ridge Basalt (MORB),and rhyolites from the northern Okinawa Trough have the highest 207 Pb/ 204 Pb and 208 Pb/ 204 Pb ratios.The NECS shelf margin basalts have lower 87 Sr/ 86 Sr ratios,ε N d and σ 18 O than the northern Okinawa Trough silicic rocks.According to 40 K– 40 Ar isotopic ages of basalts from the NECS shelf margin,rifting of the Okinawa Trough may have been active since at least 3.65–3.86 Ma.The origin of the NECS shelf margin basalt can be explained by the interaction of melt derived from Indian Ocean MORB-like mantle with enriched subcontinental lithosphere.The basalts from both sides of the Okinawa Trough may have a similar origin during the initial rifting of the Okinawa Trough,and the formation of basaltic magmas closely relates to the thinning of continental crust.The source of the formation of the northern Okinawa Trough silicic rocks was different from that of the middle Okinawa Trough,which could have been generated by the interaction of basaltic melt with an enriched crustal component.From the Ryukyu island arc to East China,the Cenozoic basalts have apparently increasing trends of MgO contents and ratios of LREE to Heavy Rare Earth Elements (HREE),suggesting that the trace element variabilities of basalts may have been influenced by the subduction of the Philippine Sea plate,and that the effects of subduction of the Philippine Sea plate on the chemical composition of basaltic melts have had a decreasing effect from the Ryukyu island arc to East China. | ZENG Zhigang YU Shaoxiong WANG Xiaoyuan FU Yongtao YIN Xuebo ZHANG Guoliang WANG Xiaomei CHEN Shuai | 2010 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2010,29,4: | 19 |
| 3 | Molecular phylogenetic relationships of China Seas groupers based on cytochrome b gene fragment sequences显示文摘The classification and evolutionary relationships are important issues in the study of the groupers. Cytochrome b gene fragment of twenty-eight grouper species within six genera of subfamily Epinephelinae was amplified using PCR techniques and the sequences were analyzed to derive the phylogenetic relationships of the groupers from the China Seas. Genetic information indexes, including Kimura-2 parameter genetic distance and Ts/Tv ratios, were generated by using a variety of biology softwares. With Niphon spinosus, Pagrus major and Pagrus auriga as the designated outgroups, phylogenetic trees, which invoke additional homologous sequences of other Epinephelus fishes from GenBank, were constructed based on the neighbor-joining (NJ), maximum-parsimony (MP), maximum-likelihood (ML) and minimum-evolution (ME) methods. | 4 | Changes in T lymphocyte subsets after severe traumatic brain injury显示文摘BACKGROUND: Besides local changes of cranial parenchymal cells, hemorrhage, etc., severe traumatic brain injuries also cause the changes of total body fluid and various functions, and the changes of lymphocytes and T lymphocyte subsets should be paid more attention to. OBJECTIVE: To reveal the changing laws of T lymphocyte subsets after severe traumatic brain injury, and compare with mild to moderate brain injury. DESIGN: A comparative observation. SETTINGS: Department of Neurosurgery, Longgang District Buji People's Hospital of Shenzhen City; Central Laboratory of Shenzhen Hospital of Prevention and Cure for Chronic Disease. PARTICIPANTS: All the subjects were selected from the Department of Neurosurgery, Longgang District Buji People's Hospital of Shenzhen City from August 2002 to August 2005. Thirty patients with severe brain injury, whose Glasgow coma score (GCS) was ≤ 8 points, were taken as the experimental group, including 21 males and 9 females, aging 16–62 years. Meanwhile, 30 patients with mild traumatic brain injury were taken as the control group (GCS ranged 14–15 points), including 18 males and 12 females, aging 15–58 years. All the subjects were in admission at 6 hours after injury, without disease of major organs before injury. Informed consents were obtained from all the patients or their relatives. METHODS: ① The T lymphocytes and the subsets in peripheral blood were detected with immunofluorescent tricolor flow cytometry at 1, 3, 7 and 14 days after injury in both groups. ② The conditions of pulmonary infections were observed at 4 days after injury. The differences of measurement data were compared with the t test. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Changes of T lymphocytes subsets at 1–14 days after severe and mild or moderate traumatic injury. RESULTS: Finally, 28 and 25 patients with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury, whereas 25 and 21 patients with severe traumatic brain injury were analyzed at 7 and 14 days respectively, and the missed ones died due to the development of disease. ① Changes of T lymphocyte subsets: At 1 and 3 days after injury, CD3, CD4, CD8, CD4/CD8 began to decrease, whereas CD8 increased in the experimental group, which were very significantly different from those in the control group (t =2.77–3.26, P < 0.01), and began to recover at 7 days, which were significantly different from those in the control group (t = 2.06–2.24, P < 0.05), and generally recovered to the normal levels at 14 days (P > 0.05). ② Conditions of pulmonary infections: At 4 days after injury, the rate of pulmonary infection was significantly different between the experimental group and control group [73% (22/30), 0, χ2=37.29, P < 0.01]. | 5 | Element enrichment and U-series isotopic characteristics of the hydrothermal sulfides at Jade site in the Okinawa Trough显示文摘The geochemical and U-series isotopic characteristics of hydrothermal sulfide samples from the Jade site (127°04.5′E, 27°15′N, water depth 1300-1450 m) at Jade site in the Okinawa Trough were analyzed. In the hydrothermal sulfide samples bearing sulfate (samples HOK1 and HOK2), the LREEs are relatively enriched. All the hydrothermal sulfide samples except HOK1 belong to Zn-rich hydrothermal sulfide. In comparison with Zn-rich hydrothermal sulfides from other fields, the contents of Zn, Pb, Ag, Cd, Au and Hg are higher, the contents of Fe, Al, Cr, Co, Ni, Sr, Te, Cs, Ti and U lower, and the 210Pb radioactivity ratios and 210Pb/Pb ratios very low. In the hydrothermal sulfide mainly composed of sphalerite, the correlations between rare elements Hf and U, and Hf and Mn as well as that between dispersive elements Ga and Zn, are strongly positive; also the contents of Au and Ag are related to Fe-sulfide, because the low temperature promotes enrichment of Au and Ag. Meanwhile, the positive correlations between Fe and Bi and between Zn and Cd are not affected by the change of mineral assemblage. | 7 | Cloning and mRNA expression of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) gene of large yellow croaker (P seudosciaena crocea)显示文摘Mammalian macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) plays an important role as an indispensable mediator in the pathogenesis of inflammatory disease like septicemia, but little is known about the role of MIF homologue in fish septicemia. The authors have cloned the MIF homologue in large yellow croaker Pseudosciaena crocea (LycMIF) using RACE approach. The full-length cDNA of LycMIF was 634 bases and contained an ORF of 345 bases encoding a protein of 115 amino acid residues. As demonstrated by RT-PCR and QRT-PCR assay, MIF mRNAs were constitutively expressed in 11 selected tissues and were abundant in brain and liver. Moreover, the LycMIF transcripts in the liver and head kidney were responsive to bacteria infection and could be significantly up-regulated. | 10 | Cesium-rubidium mineralization in Himalayan leucogranites显示文摘This paper presents a study of a newly discovered pollucite-lepidolite-albite granite(PLAG)in the Himalayan leucogranite belt,which marks the first occurrence of pollucite,a major cesium silicate mineral,in the Himalayan orogenic belt(China).The rock appears at the northern part of the Gyirong pluton,coexisting with the tourmaline-bearing two-mica granite(TMG).Primary rare-metal minerals include lepidolite(Li),spodumene(Li),pollucite(Cs),cassiterite(Sn),and microlite(Ta).Micas,mainly lithian muscovite to lepidolite,contain 4.07 wt.%Li_2O and 0.76 wt.%Rb_2O on average.The average Li_2O content of the spodumene is 7.95 wt.%.Pollucite not only has an average Cs_2O content of 34 wt.%,but also has an elevated Rb_2O content of about 0.16 wt.%.Notably,this granite attains industrial grades for rare metals,specifically with Li_2O,Rb_2O,and Cs_2O contents of 0.49–1.19 wt.%,0.12–0.24 wt.%,and 0.69–2.33 wt.%,respectively.Dating results of magmatic accessory cassiterite and monazite indicated that the PLAG was formed at 19–18 Ma,slightly later than the TMG(22–20 Ma)of the Gyirong pluton.Thus,these two types of granites may form within the same magmatic system considering their pulsating intrusive contact,formation ages,and whole-rock and mineral chemical compositions.Furthermore,the abundant presence of pollucite suggests that the PLAG experienced high degrees of magmatic fractionation.In comparison to the Pusila spodumene pegmatite in the Himalaya and the Yashan topaz-lepidolite granite in Jiangxi,South China,the Gyirong PLAG exhibits different whole-rock and mineral compositions,resulting from differences in source materials and fractionation processes.Notably,the difference in fluorine(F)content may determine the degree of rare-metal element enrichment.The discovery of Gyirong PLAG highlights multiple stages and types of rare-metal mineralization in the Himalayan leucogranite belt,which is controlled by the South Tibetan Detachment System.The Cs-bearing geyserite deposit exposed along the Yarlung-Zangbo River,together with Himalayan leucogranites,constitutes two systems of rare-metal elements migration and enrichment.These two systems reflect the interaction among Earth systems across time and space,emphasizing how the Himalayan orogeny controls mineralization.As a result,the Himalayan leucogranite belt has considerable prospecting potential for cesium and rubidium resources and may be a crucial area for future exploration and resource utilization. | Fangyang HU Xiaochi LIU Shaoxiong HE Jiamin WANG Fuyuan WU | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,12: | 3 |

| 12 | Effect of different twirling and rotating acupuncture manipulation techniques on the blood flow perfusion at acupoints显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the effect of different twirling and rotating acupuncture manipulation techniques on the blood flow perfusion at acupoints to provide a reference for the study of acupoint specificity and the quantification and effectiveness of acupuncture methods. METHODS: Twenty healthy male or female college students each received four different acupuncture manipulation techniques, including simple acupuncture, uniform reinforcing-reducing needling, twirling reinforcing needling, and twisting reducing needling. The self-control method was applied. Acupuncture was performed by an acupuncture manipulation simulator at Neiguan (PC 6) and Zusanli (ST 36). The process of twirling and rotating was divided into seven timepoints. The PeriCam Perfusion Speckle Imager (PSI) System was used to collect the blood flow perfusion data at each acupoint. The specificity of twirling and rotating acupuncture manipulation was analyzed based on changes in the curve, video, and numerical blood flow perfusion data at each timepoint. RESULTS: There were two peaks in the blood flow perfusion curve of twirling and rotating acupuncture manipulation;one appeared after 3 min of needle retention, and the other appeared 3 min after needle removal. The blood flow perfusion parameters showed that the greatest differences between the four manipulation techniques occurred after 5 and 10 min of needle retention. The specificity of various manipulation techniques was most obvious at these two timepoints. There were significant differences between the four manipulation groups in the blood flow perfusion and the relative change rates of blood flow perfusion at each timepoint. CONCLUSION: Laser speckle imaging enables the real-time, non-invasive, rapid, and accurate collection of blood flow perfusion data during acupuncture. This imaging technique enables the easy attainment of various parameters such as visual images, two-dimensional curves, and data tables. At various timepoints, the four groups significantly differed regarding changes in blood flow perfusion and relative change rates of blood flow perfusion, which facilitated the differentiation of the four acupuncture manipulation methods. Based on this, further analysis could be conducted to study spatial distribution characteristics such as the influence area and flare area. | 13 | Geochronology, Geochemistry and Hf Isotope of the Late Mesozoic Granitoids from the Lushi Polymetal Mineralization Area: Implication for the Destruction of Southern North China Craton显示文摘The North China Craton(NCC)is the best example of an Archean craton that has lost its stability in the Late Mesozoic.Although the cratonic destruction is generally considered to have occurred in the Eastern Block and reached a peak in the Early Cretaceous,the exact areal extent of cratonic destruction is debated,especially the southern and northern margin of the NCC.Here we report geochronology,geochemical and Hf isotopic data of the Late Mesozoic granitoids from Lushi polymetal mineralization area(LPMA)in the southern margin of NCC.These results provide new insights into the destruction in the southern margin of the NCC during the Late Mesozoic.Zircon U-Pb dating indicates that eight granitoids intruded in the Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous(136.8–154.1 Ma),respectively.Geochemical signatures define these granitoids being A-type or I-type granite that formed in an extension setting.In addition,Hf isotopic compositions of zircons from these granitoids vary in a relatively large range,withεHf(t)values and TDM2 ages ranginge from-26.1 to+15.2 and 215 to 2849 Ma,respectively.The parental magmas were likely derived from diverse sources,including materials of the partial melting of ancient lower crust and mantle-derived mafic magmas in various proportions.Combining with previous studies on the contemporaneous magma-tectonic activities in circum of NCC,we suggest that the rim of NCC was already unstabilized from the Late Jurassic in the LPMA.The subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate was the main trigger to the destruction of the southern margin of NCC,which was responsible for the lithospheric extension and thinning,extensive magmatism and mineralization. | Yuanyuan Zhai Shuai Gao Qingdong Zeng Shaoxiong Chu | 2020 | Journal of Earth Science2020,31,2: | 3 |
| 14 | Effects of Dietary Crude Fiber Levels on Growth Performance and Serum Biochemical Index of Dingan Geese Aged from 35 to 70 Days显示文摘[Objective] The study was carried out to investigate the effects of dietary crude fiber on growth performance and serum biochemical in-dex of Dingan geese aged from 35 to 70 days.[Method] A total of 120 Dingan geese on day 28 with the same genetic background and similar initial weight(1 384.83.73±0.76 g) were randomly assigned into 3 groups, with 4 replicates per group and 10 geese per replicate. Geese were fed the diets containing 4.29%, 5.29% and 6.29 % crude fiber, respectively. The experiment lasted 35 d.[Result] Final weight and daily gain of 5.29 %CF group were significantly higher than those of 6.29 % CF group(P<0.05);Feed intake was markedly higher than those of 4.29% and 6.29 % CF groups(P<0.05);Feed gain ratio was significantly lower than that of 6.29 % CF group(P<0.05). | 15 | ITO@TiO_(2)nanoarray:An efficient and robust nitrite reduction reaction electrocatalyst toward NH_(3)production under ambient conditions显示文摘Ambient electrochemical nitrite(NO_(2)^(-))reduction is viewed as an effective and sustainable approach for simul-taneously removing NO_(2)^(-)and producing ammonia(NH_(3)).However,the complex multi-electron transfer steps involved in the NO_(2)^(-)reduction reaction(NO_(2)^(-)RR)lead to sluggish kinetics and low product selectivity toward NH_(3),underscoring the need for NH_(3)synthesis electrocatalysts with high activity and durability.Herein,we report amorphous indium-tin oxide sputtered on a TiO_(2)nanobelt array on a Ti plate(ITO@TiO_(2)/TP)as a 3D NH_(3)-producing catalyst for the NO_(2)^(-).In 0.5 M LiClO_(4)with 0.1 M NO_(2)^(-),it shows greatly boosted NO_(2)^(-)RR activity toward NH_(3)production,with excellent selectivity,achieving a large NH_(3)yield of 411.3μmol h^(-1)cm^(-2)and a high Faradaic efficiency of 82.6%.It also shows high durability for continuous electrolysis.A Zn-NO_(2)^(-)battery with ITO@TiO_(2)/TP cathode offers an NH_(3)yield of 23.1μmol h^(-1)cm^(-2)and a peak power density of 1.22 m. | Shaoxiong Li Jie Liang Peipei Wei Qian Liu Lisi Xie Yonglan Luo Xuping Sun | 2022 | eScience2022,2,4: | 3 |
| 16 | Compact ultrabroadband light-emitting diodes based on lanthanide-doped lead-free double perovskites显示文摘Impurity doping is an effective approach to tuning the optoelectronic performance of host materials by imparting extrinsic electronic channels.Herein,a family of lanthanide(Ln^(3+))ions was successfully incorporated into a Bi:Cs_(2)AgInCl_(6) lead-free double-perovskite(DP)semiconductor,expanding the spectral range from visible(Vis)to near-infrared(NIR)and improving the photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY).After multidoping with Nd,Yb,Er and Tm,Bi/Ln:Cs_(2)AgInCl_(6) yielded an ultrabroadband continuous emission spectrum with a full width at half-maximum of~365 nm originating from intrinsic self-trapped exciton recombination and abundant 4f-4f transitions of the Ln^(3+)dopants.Steady-state and transient-state spectra were used to ascertain the energy transfer and emissive processes.To avoid adverse energy interactions between the various Ln^(3+)ions in a single DP host,a heterogeneous architecture was designed to spatially confine different Ln^(3+)dopants via a“DP-in-glass composite”(DiG)structure.This bottom-up strategy endowed the prepared Ln^(3+)-doped DIG with a high PLQY of 40%(nearly three times as high as that of the multidoped DP)and superior long-term stability.Finally,a compact Vis-NIR ultrabroadband(400~2000 nm)light source was easily fabricated by coupling the DiG with a commercial UV LED chip,and this light source has promising applications in nondestructive spectroscopic analyses and multifunctional lighting. | Shilin Jin Renfu Li Hai Huang Naizhong Jiang Jidong Lin Shaoxiong Wang Yuanhui Zheng Xueyuan Chen Daqin Chen | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,3: | 3 |
| 17 | Differentiation of coral trout (Plectropomus leopardus) based on an analysis of morphology and complete mitochondrial DNA: Are cryptic species present?显示文摘Two morphotypes of Plectropomus leopardus have been identified; morphometric and meristic analyses show that there is no diagnostic difference between them. A difference in color pattern was the most appropriate phenotypic character with which to distinguish between the two morphotypes. Complete mitochondrial DNA sequencing, however, indicated a clear difference between the two morphotypes. Barcoding analysis revealed no significant difference (P>0.05) in CO1 or ND2 divergence among intramorphotypic individuals, even between geographically separated populations, whereas the intermorphotypic CO1 and ND2 divergences were large enough (averaging 0.95% for CO1 and 1.37% for ND2) to clearly discriminate between the two morphotypes. | 18 | Grain size-dependent electrical resistivity of bulk nanocrystalline Gd metals显示文摘The electrical resistivity of the as-consolidated and coarse-grained bulk gadolinium(Gd) metals was studied in the temperature range of 3-315K.The experimental results showed that with decrease in the grain size of Gd grains from micrometer to nanometer range,the room temperature electrical resistivity increased from 209.7 to 333.0 μΩcm,while the electrical resistivity at the low temperature of 3K was found to increase surprisingly from 16.5 to 126.3 μΩcm.The room temperature coefficient resistivity(TCR) values were obtained as 39.2×10-3,5.51×10-3 and 33.7×10-3K-1.The ratios of room temperature to residual resistivity [RRR=ρ(300K)/ρ(3K)] are 2.64,11.0,respectively,for the as-consolidated samples at 280℃ and 700℃ with respect to that of the coarse-grained sample.All results indicate the remarkable influence of the nanostructure on the electrical resistivity of Gd due to the finite size effect and large fraction of grain boundaries. | Hong Zeng Ying Wu Jiuxing Zhang Chunjiang Kuang Ming Yue Shaoxiong Zhou | 2013 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,1: | 2 |
| 19 | Influence of post-grown treatments on CuInS_2 thin films prepared by sulphurization of Cu-In films显示文摘Polycrystalline CuInS2 (CIS) films were prepared by sulphurization of Cu-In films. The surface morphology and phase composition of the as-grown film, the KCN-etched film, and the annealed KCN-etched film were investigated. During the sulphurization, the secondary CuxS phase segregated on the surface of the as-grown films. To improve the crystalline quality of CuInS2 films, a series of post-grown treatments, such as KCN-etching and vacuum annealing KCN-etched films, were performed on the as-grown films. Both as-grown and post-treated films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The results indicated that a CuxS secondary phase segregated on the surface of the as-grown film, which could be removed effectively by KCN etching. After the vacuum annealing treatment, the KCN-etched film had a sphalerite structure with (112) preferred orientation. | 20 | Spatial Distribution Pattern and Han Subgroup Characteristics of Traditional Villages in Guangdong显示文摘A total of 126 traditional villages in Guangdong were selected for research to analyze their spatial distribution pattern, spatial autocorrelation, and Han subgroup characteristics through the spatial analysis with GIS. The results showed that the traditional villages in Guangdong were distributed compactly, which was similar to that in other provinces; on the prefecture-level city scale, they were mainly distributed in Meizhou, Qingyuan, Zhanjiang, and Zhaoqing, showing a central distribution; on the regional scale, they were mainly distributed in northern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta, indicating an unbalanced distribution; their density of spatial distribution showed a significant difference with a provincial distribution density of 0.59 per thousand km^2 and the highest distribution density of 2.14 per thousand km^2; there were four gathering areas accommodating many traditional villages, namely Meizhou-Chaoshan area, Guangfo-Dongguan area, Leizhou in Zhanjiang, and Lianzhou in Qingyuan; the spatial distribution of traditional villages, which presented a pattern of hot spot—sub-hot spot—sub-cold spot—cold spot, had a significant global spatial autocorrelation, and areas in similar sizes were tending towards gathering; traditional villages in Guangdong belonged to the Cantonese-speaking group and Hakka-speaking group with a density of 0.59 per thousand km^2 and 0.48 per thousand km^2 respectively, and Han subgroup with the highest distribution density was the minority areas of 1.31 per thousand km^2, followed by Shaozhou dialect area with a density of 1.00 per thousand km^2. | YUAN Shaoxiong YIN Xiaoling XIONG Haixian SUN Zhongyu HUANG Guangqing | 2018 | Journal of Landscape Research2018,10,1: | 2 |
