1Early Cretaceous extensional structures in the Liaodong Peninsula:Structural associations,geochronological constraints and regional tectonic implications显示文摘Various extensional structures,e.g.,half grabens,detachment faults,and metamorphic core complexes,were formed in the Liaodong Peninsula.There are two metamorphic core complexes (mcc's) in the western part of the Peninsula,i.e.the Liaonan mcc and the Wanfu mcc.They share the same lower plate and constitute a conjugate mcc pair.The Dayingzi detachment fault system and the three half grabens are exposed in the central and eastern parts,respectively.U-Pb dating of zircons from syntectonic plutons in the lower plates of the detachment faults and volcanic rocks from half graben basins indicates that their formation spans from 135 to 106 Ma,although the individual structure may be formed at a particular stage.Despite the differences in age of formation,in the regional attitudes,and in rooting depths,the extensional structures have great similarities in their kinematics,geometrical asymmetry,and coeval tectono-magmatic activities etc.Macroscopically,the extensional structures constitute conjugate associations,but a particular one generally has asymmetric patterns.Early Cretaceous extensional structures extend from the Liaodong Peninsula to North China,Northeast China,South China,and eastern Mongolia and Transbaikal area in Russia.The extensional structures from different areas share many common features.The Liaodong Peninsula is the miniature of the East Asia with respect to the formation of extensional structures in Early Cretaceous.It is suggested that the interaction of the Izanagi Plate with Eurasia Plate is responsible for the extension of crust.The structural mobility of the lithosphere,partly attributed to the fluid flow at the depth,and detachment faulting in both the crustal and mantle lithosphere provide important constraints on the development of Early Cretaceous extensional structures in the East Asia.LIU JunLai JI Mo SHEN Liang GUAN HuiMei Gregory A DAVIS 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,6:38

3The Dayingzi detachment fault system in Liaodong Peninsula and its regional tectonic significance显示文摘Large scale lithosphere thinning is an important characteristic of the destruction of the North China Craton (NCC) during the late Mesozoic. A series of extensional structures were developed under extensional setting, among which is the Dayingzi detachment fault system (DFS). The DFS is constituted by three parts, volcano-sedimentary basins at the hanging wall, the Dayingzi-Huanghuadian detachment fault zone, and Paleoproterozoic metamorphic rock series and Mesozoic plutons at the foot-wall. In the section across the detachment fault zone, there is a sequence of tectonites including fault gouge, microbreccia, cataclastic-mylonites, mylonites, and gneissic biotite monzonite granite. Microstructural characteristics of tectonites and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) patterns of quartz indicate that the rocks from the footwall experienced a process from upper greenschist facies to lower greenschist facies. SHRIMP and LA-ICP MS U-Pb dating of zircons from the volcanic rocks in the basins, the tectonic evolution of the DFS is summarized as follows: 1) regional extension started at 135.0±1.2 Ma ago, when the detachment fault cut through the middle crust. Faulting induced the upwelling of magma and eruption of volcanic rocks and deformed a series of medium-acid volcanic rocks; 2) after 135.0±1.2 Ma, a large scale detachment faulting was active cross-cutting the mid-upper crust. The western margin of Jurassic and Triassic granite was ductilly and brittly sheared; besides, the Cretaceous volcano-sedimentary rocks were tilted when the master fault approached the surface; 3) at around 127±1 Ma, the detachment fault stopped its activity and was intruded by the unsheared Cretaceous granite near Chaoyang. Comparison with the Liaonan metamorphic core complex (MCC) and other extensional structures in Liaodong Peninsula led to a general trend of including three zones in the Peninsula: MCC zone, detachment fault systems (DFS) zone, and half graben zone. MCC commonly cuts through the mid-lower crust, DFS through the mid-upper crust, and half graben through the upper crust. Therefore, development of the extensional structures in Liaodong Peninsula indicates that they are the results of crustal extension and thinning at different crustal levels. 4Secondary causes of inflammatory bowel diseases显示文摘Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD),conventionally consist of Crohn’s disease(CD)and ulcerative colitis.They occur in individuals with high risk genotype for the disease in the setting of appropriate environmental factors.The pathogenesis of IBD involves a dysregulated autoimmune response to gut dysbiosis,which in turn is triggered due to exposure to various inciting environmental factors.But there is no clearly defined etiology of IBD and this type of disease is termed as“idiopathic IBD”,“classic IBD”,or“primary IBD”.We reviewed the current medical literature and found that certain etiological factors may be responsible for the development of IBD or IBD-like conditions,and we consider this form of de novo IBD as“secondary IBD”.Currently known factors that are potentially responsible for giving rise to secondary IBD are medications;bowel altering surgeries and transplantation of organs,stem cells or fecal microbiome.Medications associated with the development of secondary IBD include;immunomodulators,anti-tumor necrosis factor alpha agents,anti-interleukin agents,interferons,immune stimulating agents and checkpoint inhibitors.Colectomy can in some cases give rise to de novo CD,pouchitis of the ileal pouch,or postcolectomy enteritis syndrome.After solid organ transplantation or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation,the recipient may develop de novo IBD or IBD flare.Fecal microbiota transplantation has been widely used to treat patients suffering from recurrent Clostridium difficile infection but can also causes IBD flares.Yezaz A Ghouri Veysel Tahan Bo Shen 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,28:13

6CD69 expression on airway eosinophils and airway inflammation in a murine model of asthma显示文摘Background Asthma is a chronic airway disease with inflammation characterized by physiological changes (airway hyper-responsiveness, AHR) and pathological changes (inflammatory cells infiltration and mucus production). Eosinophils play a key role in the allergic inflammation. But the causative relationship between eosinophils and airway inflammation is hard to prove. One of the reasons is lack of activation marker of murine eosinophils. We investigated the expression of CD69 on murine eosinophils in vitro, the relationship between the expression of CD69 on eosinophils from peripheral blood and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and on airway inflammation in asthmatic mice. Methods Eosinophils from peripheral blood of IL-5 transgenic mice (NJ.1638) were purified. Mice were divided into five groups: wild type mice sensitized and challenged with saline (WS group), wild type mice sensitized and challenged with ovalbumin (WO group), IL-5-/- mice sensitized and challenged with saline and transferred with purified eosinophils (ISE group), IL-5-/- mice sensitized and challenged with OVA and transferred with purified eosinophils (IOE group), IL-5-/- mice sensitized and challenged with OVA and transferred with purified eosinophils, pretreated with anti CD4 monoclonal antibody (IOE+antiCD4mAb group). IL-5-/- mice were sensitized with OVA at day 0 and day 14, then challenged with OVA aerosol. On days 24, 25, 26 and 27 purified eosinophils were transferred intratracheally to IL-5-/- mice. On day 28, blood and BALF were collected and CD69 expression on eosinophils measured by flowcytometry. Results Purified eosinophils did not express CD69. But eosinophils cultured with PMA+MA, IFN-γ, IL-5 or GM-CSF expressed CD69 strongly. Eosinophils from blood of WO, WS group did not express CD69 at all. The numbers of eosinophils in BALF of WO group, IOE group, ISE group and IOE+antiCD4mAb group were significantly higher than in mice of WS group which did not have eosinophils at all. CD69 expression on eosinophils in BALF of IOE and WO groups was strong. Eosinophils in BALF of ISE and IOE+antiCDmAb groups did not express CD69. The mucus production result was similar to CD69 expression. There were eosinophils infiltration in lung slides of all groups except WS group. 10Comparative study of carbonic anhydrase activity in waters among different geological eco-environments of Yangtze River basin and its ecological significance显示文摘This study provides the presence of carbonic anhydrase(CA) activity in waters of the Yangtze River basin, China, as well as the correlation of CA activity with HCO-3 concentration and CO_2 sink flux. Different degrees of CA activity could be detected in almost all of the water samples from different geological eco-environments in all four seasons. The CA activity of water samples from karst areas was significantly higher than from non-karst areas(PP3-concentration(r = 0.672, P2 sink flux(r = 0.602, P = 0.076) in karst areas. This suggests that CA in waters might have a promoting effect on carbon sinks for atmospheric CO_2 in karst river basins. In conditions of similar geological type, higher CA activity was generally detected in water samples taken from areas that exhibited better eco-environments, implying that the CA activity index of waters could be used as an indicator for monitoring ecological environments and protection of river basins. 13Statistical survey on the magnetic field in magnetotail current sheets: Cluster observations显示文摘The distribution properties of the magnetic field in magnetotail current sheets have been explored statistically with the magnetic measurement data of the Cluster mission from June to November of the years 2001–2005.It is found that,on average,the strength of the magnetic field and its Bz component in the current sheet are weaker in the region close to midnight but stronger near the dawnside and duskside flanks,which implies that,in general,a thinner current sheet occurs near midnight and thicker ones near both flanks.The occurrence of tail current sheet flapping is higher on both flanks than in the midnight region,although it is most frequent in the dawn flank.Current sheets with a negative Bz component or a strong By component have a higher probability of occurring at magnetic local times of 21:00–01:00,indicating that magnetic activity,e.g.magnetic reconnection and current disruption occur more frequently there.Statistically,the probability distributions of the By component and the tilt angle of magnetic field lines in the current sheet are approximately normal distributions,and the occurrence probability of the flattened current sheet is about one third that of the normal current sheet.The magnetic field and Bz component in the current sheet mainly vary from 1 nT to 10 nT.The By component in the tail central current sheet is on average twice the IMF By at 1 AU.RONG ZhaoJin SHEN Chao LUCEK E BALOGH A YAO Li 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,23:3
14A regional ionospheric TEC mapping technique over China and adjacent areas: GNSS data processing and DINEOF analysis显示文摘A technique is developed to derive two-dimensional maps of total electron content(TEC) over China and adjacent areas using Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) data from the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC) and the International Global Navigation Satellite System Service(IGS). A revised self-calibration of pseudo-range errors(SCORE) algorithm is used to derive the TEC and to determine the Differential Code Biases(DCBs) simultaneously. The accuracy and validity of this technique is verified in two ways. Firstly, the estimated TEC is compared with the results derived using DCBs from Center for Orbit Determination of Europe(CODE) under different solar activity conditions and seasons; secondly, sample TEC along the receiver-to-satellite ray paths are simulated by Ne Quick model and are reprocessed by this TEC derivation technique to make the accuracy test. Two-dimensional maps of vertical TEC of ionospheric pierce points(IPPs) are obtained accordingly with a time resolution of 30 s. The data interpolating empirical orthogonal functions(DINEOF) technique is then used to make the extrapolation for the unknown or missing data points. The optimal EOF modes for data reconstruction are specified via cross-validation method. 16Do the existing staging systems for primary liver cancer apply to combined hepatocellular carcinoma-intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma?显示文摘Background:The incidence of combined hepatocellular carcinoma-intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(cHCC-ICC)is relatively low,and the knowledge about the prognosis of cHCC-ICC remains obscure.In the study,we aimed to screen existing primary liver cancer staging systems and shed light on the prognosis and risk factors for cHCC-ICC.Methods:We retrospectively reviewed 206 cHCC-ICC patients who received curative surgical resection from April 1999 to March 2017.The correlation of survival measures with the histological types or with tumor staging systems was determined and predictive values of tumor staging systems with cHCC-ICC prognosis were compared.Results:The histological type was not associated with overall survival(OS)(P=0.338)or disease-free survival(DFS)(P=0.843)of patients after curative surgical resection.BCLC,TNM for HCC,and TNM for ICC stages correlated with both OS and DFS in cHCC-ICC(all P<0.05).The predictive values of TNM for HCC and TNM for ICC stages were similar in terms of predicting postoperative OS(P=0.798)and DFS(P=0.191)in cHCC-ICC.TNM for HCC was superior to BCLC for predicting postoperative OS(P=0.022)in cHCC-ICC.Conclusion:The TNM for HCC staging system should be prioritized for clinical applications in predicting cHCC-ICC prognosis.Qiang Zhou Hao Cai Ming-Hao Xu Yao Ye Xiao-Long Li Guo-Ming Shi a Cheng Huang Xiao-Dong Zhu Jia-Bin Cai Jian Zhou Jia Fan Yuan Ji Hui-Chuan Sun Ying-Hao Shen 2021Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2021,20,1:2

19Strong paleoearthquakes along the Talas-Fergana Fault,Kyrgyzstan显示文摘The Talas-Fergana Fault,the largest strike-slip structure in Central Asia,forms an obliquely oriented boundary between the northeastern and southwestern parts of the Tianshan mountain belt. The fault underwent active right-lateral strike-slip during the Paleozoic,with right-lateral movements being rejuvenated in the Late Cenozoic. Tectonic movements along the intracontinental strike-slip faults contribute to absorb part of the regional crustal shortening linked to the India-Eurasia collision; knowledge of strike-slip motions along the Talas-Fergana Fault are necessary for a complete assessment of the active deformation of the Tianshan orogen. To improve our understanding of the intracontinental deformation of the Tianshan mountain belt and the occurrence of strong earthquakes along the whole length of the Talas-Fergana Fault,we identify features of relief arising during strong paleoearthquakes along the Talas-Fergana Fault,fault segmentation,the length of seismogenic ruptures,and the energy and age of ancient catastrophes. We show that during neotectonic time the fault developed as a dextral strike-slip fault,with possible dextral displacements spreading to secondary fault planes north of the main fault trace. We determine rates of Holocene and Late Pleistocene dextral movements,and our radiocarbon dating indicates tens of strong earthquakes occurring along the fault zone during and interval of 15800years. The reoccurrence of strong earthquakes along the Talas-Fergana Fault zone during the second half of the Holocene is about 300 years. The next strong earthquake along the fault will most probably occur along its southeastern chain during the next several decades. 20Enhancement and Optimization of ATO Nano-crystalline Films Properties by the Addition of Acetylacetone as Modifier in the Sol-gel Process显示文摘Sb-doped Sn O2(ATO) thin films have been prepared using the spin coating method by selecting the proper amount of acetylacetone as solution modifier. All ATO powders and films exhibited the cassiterite rutile-like structure in a crystal size below 10 nm under all the experimental conditions and a nonpreviously reported crystal structure was observed at high acetylacetone loads. The acetylacetone molar ratio influenced notably the optical and electrical properties of ATO films. When prepared at an acetylacetone molar ratio of 4, ATO films exhibited optical transparencies above 90% in the visible region and above 40% in the UV region for thicknesses of 100 and 300 nm. Films in a thickness of 100 nm and at an annealing temperature of 650 ℃ accounted for a high transparency of 97% in the visible wavelength. Films prepared at an acetylacetone molar ratio of 4 exhibited an electric resistivity of 1.33×10-3 Ω·cm at an annealing temperature of 650 ℃. The optimal Sb content for ATO films was found to be 8 at%.
