3Endometrial membrane organoids from human embryonic stem cell combined with the 3D Matrigel for endometrium regeneration in asherman syndrome显示文摘Asherman’s syndrome(AS),a leading cause of uterine infertility worldwide,is characterized by scarring of the uterine surfaces lacking endometrial epithelial cells,which prevents endometrial regeneration.Current research on cell therapy for AS focuses on mesenchymal and adult stem cells from the endometrium.However,insufficient number,lack of purity,and rapid senescence of endometrial epithelial progenitor cells(EEPCs)during experimental processes restrict their use in cell therapies.In this study,we induced human embryonic stem cells-9(H9-ESC)into EEPCs by optimizing the induction factors from the definitive endoderm.EEPCs,which act as endometrial epithelial cells,accompanied by human endometrial stromal cells provide a niche environment for the development of endometrial membrane organoids(EMOs)in an in vitro 3D culture model.To investigate the function of EMOs,we transplanted tissue-engineered constructs with EMOs into an in vivo rat AS model.The implantation of EMOs into the damaged endometrium facilitates endometrial regeneration and angiogenesis.Implanting EMOs developed from human embryonic stem cells into the endometrium might prove useful for“endometrial re-engineering”in the treatment of Asherman’s syndrome.Xiuxiu Jiang Xingmiao Li Xiangwei Fei Jiajie Shen Jianhua Chen Meijun Guo Yangyang Li 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:11
4CO_2 absorption into a phase change absorbent: Water-lean potassium prolinate/ethanol solution显示文摘Phase change solvents are attractive energy-efficient absorbents for carbon dioxide(CO_2) capture due to CO_2-rich phase formation. Potassium prolinate + water + ethanol(ProK/W/Eth) solution has shown good capture characteristics as a promising one in our previous work. In this work, absorption rate of CO_2, solubility of N2 O,and heat of absorption for ProK/W/Eth solution were investigated using a stirred cell reactor and a CPA201 reaction calorimeter and these results were also compared with the aqueous ProK and 30 mass% MEA solutions.Using ethanol as a solvent can substantially increase the CO_2 physical solubility and the absorption rate of CO_2 in ProK/W/Eth solutions is far higher than that in aqueous 30 mass% MEA solutions especially at a low CO_2 loading range. Solid precipitation, obtained from the liquid-to-solid phase change absorption, was analyzed by13 C NMR and DSC-TGA. 53D morphology and formation mechanism of fractures developed by true triaxial stress显示文摘As main part of underground rock mass,the three-dimensional(3D)morphology of natural fractures plays an important role in rock mass stability.Based on previous studies on 3D morphology,this study probes into the law and mechanism regarding the influence of the confining pressure constraints on 3D morphological features of natural fractures.First,fracture surfaces were obtained by true triaxial compression test and 3D laser scanning.Then 3D morphological parameters of fractures were calculated by using Grasselli’s model.The results show that the failure mode of granites developed by true triaxial stress can be categorized into tension failure and shear failure.Based on the spatial position of fractures,they can be divided into tension fracture surface,S-1 shear fracture surface,and S-2 shear fracture surface.Micro-failure of the tension fracture surface is dominated by mainly intergranular fracture;the maximum height of asperities on the fracture surface and the 3D roughness of fracture surfaces are influenced by σ_(3) only and they are greater than those of shear fracture surfaces,a lower overall uniformity than tension fracture surface.S-1 shear fracture surface and S-2 shear fracture surface are dominated by intragranular and intergranular coupling fracture.The maximum height of asperities on the fracture surface and 3D roughness of fracture surface are affected by σ_(1),σ_(2),and σ_(3).With the increase of σ_(2) or σ_(3),the cutting off of asperities on the fracture surface becomes more common,the maximum height of asperities and 3D roughness of fracture surface further decrease,and the overall uniformity gets further improved.The experimental results are favorable for selecting technical parameters of enhanced geothermal development and the safety of underground mine engineering.Bing Chen Baotang Shen Shichuan Zhang Yangyang Li Haiyang Jiang 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,6:4
6An elevated preoperative serum calcium level is a significant predictor for positive peritoneal cytology in endometrial carcinoma显示文摘Objective:To evaluate preoperative serum calcium concentration and investigate the association between calcium level and positive peritoneal cytology in endometrial carcinoma(EC).Methods:A total of 510 patients who were diagnosed with EC and had surgery were initially enrolled in this study at Peking University People's Hospital between January 2012 and December 2016.Clinical characteristics and preoperative serum calcium,albumin,carbohydrate antigen(CA)125,CA19-9,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)were extracted from patient records and evaluated according to postoperative peritoneal cytology.Predictive factors were assessed with Cox univariate and multivariate analyses.Factors selected from multivariate analysis results were used to build a predictive model.Results:A total of 510 patients are identified in our database and 444 patients who fulfilled inclusion and exclusion criteria are included in this study.Univariate analysis revealed that ionized calcium concentration was closely related to positive peritoneal cytology,tumor grade and lymph-vascular space invasion(LVSI).Moreover,peritoneal cytology was significantly associated with hypertension,tubal ligation,serum CA125,CA19-9,CEA and ionized calcium level.Multivariate analysis revealed that albumin-adjusted calcium level,CA125 and tubal ligation were independent predictive factors of positive peritoneal cytology(P<0.05).A combination of ionized calcium level with the other two indexes yielded significantly great area under the curve(AUC=0.824).Conclusions:This study enhanced the value of preoperative ionized calcium level.We also identified several potential biomarkers to predict positive peritoneal cytology in EC patients before surgery.Xingchen Li Yuan Cheng Yangyang Dong Boqiang Shen Xiao Yang Jiaqi Wang Jingyi Zhou Jianliu Wang 2019Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,6:3
7Eliminating poverty through development:The dynamic evolution of multidimensional poverty in rural China显示文摘This paper measures intertemporal multidimensional poverty in rural China from 1988 to 2018 based on the China Household Income Project(CHIP)data and for that time period has the following findings.First,multidimensional poverty in rural China declines steadily when measured through the income poverty approach.Second,multidimensional poverty in rural areas presents demographic and regional heterogeneity,among which elderly poverty,child poverty,and poverty in the western Chinese region are the most prominent ones.Third,income poverty and multidimensional poverty have a low overlap ratio and show intertemporal synchronisation over time.Although increases in income can alleviate multidimensional poverty,this effect is very limited.This paper suggests that a suitable multidimensional poverty identification framework should be developed in the era of poverty alleviation after 2020 and that in the new poverty alleviation governance system of China,targeted development strategies should be formulated with an increased focus on the poverty of special groups such as children and the elderly.Yangyang Shen Shi Li 2022Economic and Political Studies2022,10,1:2

16Phenotype and metabolism alterations in PCB-degrading Rhodococcus biphenylivorans TG9^(T) under acid stress显示文摘Environmental acidification impairs microorganism diversity and their functions on substance transformation.Rhodococcus is a ubiquitously distributed genus for contaminant detoxification in the environment,and it can also adapt a certain range of pH.This work interpreted the acid responses from both phenotype and metabolism in strain Rhodococcus biphenylivorans TG9^(T)(TG9)induced at pH 3.The phenotype alterations were described with the number of culturable and viable cells,intracellular ATP concentrations,cell shape and entocyte,degradation efficiency of polychlorinated biphenyl(PCB)31 and biphenyl.The number of culturable cells maintained rather stable within the first 10 days,even though the other phenotypes had noticeable alterations,indicating that TG9 possesses certain capacities to survive under acid stress.The metabolism responses were interpreted based on transcription analyses with four treatments including log phase(LP),acid-induced(PER),early recovery after removing acid(RE)and later recovery(REL).With the overview on the expression regulations among the 4 treatments,the RE sample presented more upregulated and less downregulated genes,suggesting that its metabolism was somehow more active after recovering from acid stress.In addition,the response mechanism was interpreted on 10 individual metabolism pathways mainly covering protein modification,antioxidation,antipermeability,H+consumption,neutralization and extrusion.Furthermore,the transcription variations were verified with RT-qPCR on 8 genes with 24-hr,48-hr and 72-hr acid treatment.Taken together,TG9 possesses comprehensive metabolism strategies defending against acid stress.Consequently,a model was built to provide an integrate insight to understand the acid resistance/tolerance metabolisms in microorganisms.Aili Li Jiahui Fan Yangyang Jia Xianjin Tang Jingwen Chen Chaofeng Shen 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,5:0
17Use of 1.32-μm and 1.06-μm wavelength lasers for vascular cutting in a porcine model of liver and stomach bleeding显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to analyze and evaluate 1.32-μm and 1.06-μm neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet(Nd:YAG) lasers for use in liver and gastroepiploic vessel vaporization and coagulation. Methods The effects of 1.32-μm and 1.06-μm Nd:YAG lasers were compared for gastroepiploic vessel hemostasis in porcine liver.Results The results were observed and measured under the same parameters and dose conditions. The 1.32-μm laser showed greater vaporization width and depth than the 1.06-μm laser. Both lasers controlled active bleeding. The coagulation band with the 1.32-μm laser was thinner than with the 1.06-μm laser, at nearly 3 mm. After cutting of 1-and 2-mm porcine vessels, no grossly visible bleeding was apparent. Intravascular thrombus was visible under the microscope. The length of vessel thrombosis in the experimental group was 2 mm and the diameter was 2 mm; the control group exhibited thrombi as 2.3–4.9 mm in length. 18Ru single atoms induce surface-mediated discharge in Na-O_(2)batteries显示文摘Sodium(Na)O_(2)batteries have high energy density and low cost.However,high polarization,complex discharge products,and low Coulombic efficiency(CE)lead to poor cyclability.Here,we proposed an atomically dispersed Ru catalyst on nitrogen-doped graphene for Na-O_(2)batteries.The catalysts enable the discharge to proceed via a surface-mediated route,which leads to uniform deposition of Na_(2-x)O_(2)and low polarization during recharge.The first-principle calculation revealed that Ru-N_(4)complex in the catalyst has strong chemical adsorption to intermediate superoxides,facilitating uniform deposition and enhancing rapid kinetics.In contrast,Ru nanoparticles,despite the catalytic activity,induce bulk deposition via a solution-mediated route because the exposed graphene surface shows weak interaction to superoxides,thereby lowering CEs and cyclability.In brief,the atomically-dispersed Ru catalyst endows Na-O_(2)batteries with excellent electrochemical properties via a surface-mediated discharge.Xin Jin Yangyang Li Shuo Zhang Jiangwei Zhang Zihan Shen Chenlin Zhong Ziqiang Cai Chaoquan Hu Huigang Zhang 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,1:0
193-5 An Experiment Setup for Synergetic Effect of Irradiation and LBE in IMP显示文摘Due to its unique properties, such as favorable neutronic characteristic, low melting point(~125 ?C) and highboiling point (> 1 600 ?C), good natural circulation and chemical inertness with water and air (unlike sodium), etc,lead bismuth eutectic (LBE) has been considered as perspective coolant and spallation target for accelerator drivensystems (ADS)[1;2]. The spallation structural materials of ADS will be long-term irradiated with fast neutrons whilesimultaneous being contact with LBE coolant. In the past few decades, irradiation or LBE corrosion behaviors invarious of materials have been massively investigated for the purpose of developing ADS. However, there are onlya few experiment data on the combined effect of irradiation and LBE corrosion on structural materials due to lackof related experimental setups[3;4]. In the design of lead-cooled fast reactor, it is required that the materialshould endure the corrosion of liquid Pb-Bi alloy.
